Old Old Woodstock
Oh dont it get you
Get you when youre through
Feel the breezes blowing all around your coat
Oh dont it get you
When you gotta roam
Hear the children singing
daddys coming home
Going down to old old woodstock
Feel the cool night breeze
Going down to old old woodstock
Going down to give my baby a squeeze
Going down to old old woodstock
Feel the cool night breeze
Going down to old old woodstock
Way behind the shady trees
Here I come a swaggering
Way on over the ridge
See the water flowing way beneath the bridge
And my womans waiting
By the kitchen door
Im driving along
In my old beat up car
Going down to old old woodstock
Feel the cool night breeze
Going down to old old woodstock
Give my child a squeeze
Going down to old old woodstock
To feel the cool night breeze
Going down to old old woodstock
Way behind the shady trees
Listen, oh dont it get you
Get you in your throat
Feel the breezes blowing
All around your coat
Lord dont it get you
When youre bound to roam
Hear your children sing
daddys coming home
Going down to old old woodstock
To feel the cool night breeze
Give my child a squeeze
Going down to old old woodstock
To feel the cool night breeze
Going down to old old woodstock
Way behind the shady trees
Going down to old old woodstock.....

Lines on Woodstock
We fancy the lustre of the old town is reflected
on the new. English Woodstock was a royal residence.
English Woodstock had a Palace
Where the Queen in jealous malice
Slew romance's fairest flower,
Fair Rosamond, in secret bower,
Our Woodstock, pleasant county town-
(This brings it both wealth and renown)-
To your strong castle some are sent
For to give them leisure to repent,
And the Reeves will, in their bounty,
Build court house worthy of the county.
A charming vista you do view,
Gazing on each street and Avenue,
Mansions and lawns embowered 'mong trees
Where wealthy owners live at ease ;
And through the air there sweetly floats
Harmonious Woodstock organ notes,
And men employment secure
In Factory for Furniture ;
And the pacing of your horses
It is famed o'er many courses.
Old Oxford was a seat of knowledge,
Woodstock it hath a fine College.

Almost Independence Day *
I can hear them calling way from Oregon
I can hear them calling way from Oregon
And it's almost Independence Day
Me and my lady, we go steppin' (we go steppin')
We go steppin' way out on China town
All to buy some Hong Kong silver
And the wadin' rushing river (we go steppin')
We go out on the, out on the town tonight
I can hear the fireworks
I can hear the fireworks
I can hear the fireworks
Up and down the, up and down the San Francisco bay
Up and down the, up and down the San Francisco bay
I can hear them echoing
I can hear, I can hear them echoing
Up and down the, up and down the San Francisco bay
I can see the boats in the harbor (way across the harbor)
Lights shining out (lights shining out)
And a cool, cool night
And a cool, cool night across the harbor
I can hear the fireworks
I can hear the people, people shouting out
I can hear the people shouting out (up and down the line)
And it's almost Independence Day
I can see the lights way out in the harbor
And the cool, and the cool, and the cool night
And the cool, and the cool, and the cool night breeze
And I feel the cool night breeze
And I feel, feel, feel the cool night breeze
And the boats go by
And it's almost Independence Day
And it's almost, and it's almost Independence Day
Way up and down the line
Way up and down the line...

Describing Woodstock as the ""big bang,"" I think that's a great way to describe it, because the important thing about it wasn't how many people were there or that it was a lot of truly wonderful music that got played.

But, what did happen is I went to Woodstock as a member of the audience. I did not show up there with a road manager and a couple of guitars. I showed up with a change of clothes and a toothbrush.

Summer Breeze
See the curtains hanging in the window
In the evening on a Friday night
A little light shining through the window
Lets me know that everything's alright
Summer breeze, well it makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine
Blowing through my, makes me feel it right
Making me feel, making me feel fine
Makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Oh sweet days of summer, the jasmine's in bloom
July is dressed up and playing her tune
And when I come home from a hard day's work
And you're waiting there, yes you're waiting there
Without A care in the world
I see the smile awaiting in the kitchen
Food's cooking and a place there for two
I see the arms that reach out to hold me
In the evening when the day is through
Summer breeze, well it makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine in my mind
Summer breeze, makes me feel fine
Blowing through my, making me feel right
Making me feel, making me feel fine
Makes me feel right
Blowing through the jasmine in my, blowing blowing(x5)
Blowing through the jasmine in my mind

Morning breeze
Sun shine enters followed by
Cool breeze through the window,
Kingdom of sleep comes to end
Some string pulls head from pillow.
Feel of morning cool breeze
touching the body, soul wakes.
Thunder of memories of night cooled
on flow of dreams, putting brake.
Trees have worked whole night
now singing lullaby before go to rest.
Leaves are swaying and dancing
as some one shaking holding hands.
Reach passing through woods, orchards
mountains, sea and meadows
with sweet, salty, whiffed cool touch
wane blossoms and faces glow.
Blooming blossoms swaying say
good morning to kissing sun rays.
Whispering breeze performs prayer
in the temples and the churches.
Chirping birds swing their wings
to welcome and embrace the breeze.
Celestial cool touch pierce the soul
thoughts for a while freeze.

At the time of Woodstock, I was just 13, but I used to see these exotic hippy creatures and I did look on with envy. How could you not? In an ideal world, I would have loved to have been a hippy - but I might have been a bit strait-laced. It was my fantasy.

Sometimes I Dont Know What To Feel
Sometimes I dont know
I just dont know what to feel
Sometimes I dont know what to feel
Everything I thought that I knew starts to look so unreal
Theres a ringing in my head that keeps me awake at night
Sometimes I dont know what is right
Today I saw a car crush my little dog under its wheel
It did not even stop, it just sped off and out of sight
Sometimes I just feel so afraid
But I know that no one else has it made
So if I just believe in myself
I wont need no help from nobody else and I can make it alone
And everything will be cool, I got to keep on keepin on
Theres nothing else I can do
Sometimes I dont know what to do
Someone said the worlds going to end and I think its true
I thought there was some love in the world
But I guess Im wrong
Sometimes I just feel so alone
I dont want to admit to my friends that I feel confused
I wonder what Id do with myself if the world was gone
Something makes me stay on my feet
Dont you dare admit to defeat
And if I tell myself its all right
I can comfort myself through the night
And watch another day dawn
And everything will be cool

Roll Another Number
Its too dark to put the keys in my ignition,
And the mornin sun is yet to climb my hood ornament.
But before too long I might see those flashing red lights
Look out, mama, cause Im comin home tonight.
Think Ill roll another number for the road,
I feel able to get under any load.
Though my feet arent on the ground,
I been standin on the sound
Of some open-hearted people goin down.
Im not goin back to woodstock for a while,
Though I long to hear that lonesome hippie smile.
Im a million miles away from that helicopter day
No, I dont believe Ill be goin back that way.
Think Ill roll another number for the road,
I feel able to get under any load.
Though my feet arent on the ground,
I been standin on the sound
Of some open-hearted people goin down.

Lines on Col. Wonham
Formerly of Ingersoll, now of the North West.
When Wonham got orders
To advance to the borders,
His boys they were ready
And fell in quite steady.
They first marched to Woodstock,
To prepare for war's shock,
And soon camped at Windsor,
Facing American shore.

Beatnik To Vietnam To Hippie Stand
(10/13/12)
At the beginning of "64" - I packed up my uniform
And walked out the door- it was the beginning of
The Vietnam war.
By August of that same year
President Johnson started the draft
Under protests and jeers.
Then he made it a full scale war
And sent our soldiers to Vietnam shores.
The Beatniks in Greenwich village
With their long hair, beards, and
Flip flop sandals - wrote their poetry
About this undeclared war, and why
Our men were going to those shores.
This created a new generation called ‘HIPPIES"
The hippie generation was groups of protesters
Against everything that they found wrong
The draft, the war, pollution
And loved to stay high with pot, hashish
Coke and acid (lsd) which kept them blasted.
This also created the " flower children"
Who like the hippies loved to be high
And on certain flowers they would fly.
But they spoke of loving one another
And gave out flowers as a sign of peace
Which to the president was a relief.
They all started painting this "53 Chevy impala"
With the words " flower power".
Now the " flower children and hippie movement
Was in full swing, and everyone was doing their own thing.
They had Greenwich village under their control
And not one coffee shop would ever be sold.
Every coffee shop had a poetry night
And going there was such a delight.
Then in AUGUST of "69"
The WOODSTOCK festival was on the rise
Over half a million people drove to that farmland
And set up tents, hammocks, sleeping bags and such
And the police found it was much to much
So they had no choice but to see it through
Because there was nothing else that they could do.
The WOODSTOCK festival had become world wide
And to this day it still thrives.

Dont You Want It
Dont you want it
Cant you feel it
Theres something in the air tonight
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, five
Dont you want it
Now
Hitting on the dance floor
Whats it all about
Girl I give it all
Make me feel high
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, five
Time to turn it up
Cos youre getting hot
Why do we bring the flow so raw
Make you wanna dance so get on the floor
Its all about the monie
What time to get down
And get da honeys
Yo scott
Baby I can make the nights last forever
And I can make you satisfied
So if you feel like coming together
Its something that you must decide
Chorus:
Dont you want it
Dont you need it
I can give it all and I mean it
Dont you want it
Cant you feel it
Theres something in the air tonight
Rising from the depths
I confess baby
I can hit you off
Got a super on my chest
Nothing but the very best
What you need and you best believe it
Tell that youre feeling
The hand that Im dealing
Never hear me lack upon a track
Style and whicky whack
But you gotta savour that
A roller coaster ride
Baby come and climb upon a
Ruggedness Ive shown it
Tell me dont you want it
Baby I can make the sun shine forever
I know youve heard it all before (heard it all before)
But if you feel like coming together
All of this will be yours
Chorus
I got everything you want
Baby everything you need now
I can give it all
I got everything you want
Baby everything you need now
Dont you want dont you
Dont you want it
Dont you need it
(dont you want it, you want it)
(dont you need it, you need it)
Dont you want it
Cant you feel it
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, five
Dont you want it (want it)
Dont you need it (need it)
I can give it all and I mean it
Dont you want it (want it)
Cant you feel it (feel it)
Theres something in the air tonight
Dont you want it (dont you want it)
Dont you need it (dont you need it)

Woodstock
Well, I came upon a child of god
He was walking along the road
And I asked him, tell me, where are you going
This he told me:
Said, Im going down to yasgurs farm
Gonna join in a rock and roll band
Got to get back to the land
And set my soul free
{refrain}
We are stardust
We are golden
We are billion-year-old carbon
And we got to get ourselves
Back to the garden
Well then, can I walk beside you?
I have come to lose the smog
And I feel myself a cog
In something turning
And maybe its the time of year
Yes, and maybe its the time of man
And I dont know who I am
But life is for learning
{refrain twice}
By the time we got to woodstock
We were half a million strong
And everywhere was a song
And a celebration
And I dreamed I saw the bomber jet planes
Riding shotgun in the sky
Turning into butterflies
Above our nation
We are stardust
We are golden
We are caught in the devils bargain
And we got to get ourselves
Back to the garden

I Want Water
Just dont taste good.
Whats wrong-number one water.
So the rice grower, ' said'.
You maybe want more.
Feel like a shut door.
Water just dont feel right.
Acid-rain- blurring my sight.
Number one water-BOY.
Please dont tell me more.
YOU MUST HAVE WATER.
YOU number -1,1,1,1, -wont live.
Water shock to the body.
Water just dont feel right.
Must have some water, water.

Ask Me How I Feel
Oh Im waiting in the storm ask me how I feel
When things are going wrong why dont you ask me how I feel
The night is awful cold ask me how I feel
Youre much too loose to hold why dont you ask me how I feel
I close my eyes to follow you
To my surprise youre so untrue
And Im crying Im dying
Oh Im waiting in the storm ask me how I feel
When you keep me hanging on why dont you ask me how I feel
The waters run so deep ask me how I feel
When I dont get any sleep why dont you ask me how I feel
And when youre down you lean on me
Youre a fool too blind to see
That Im crying Im dying
Oh Im waiting in the storm why dont you ask me how I feel
What the hell is going on why dont you ask me how I feel
When you stay out late at night ask me how I feel
When you think that Im uptight why dont you ask me how I feel oh
You dont treat me tender no matter what I do
But Im the great pretender woah ho ho ho
Im waiting in the storm ask me how I feel
What the hell is going on
When you stay out late at night you never ask me how I feel
You just say that Im uptight
When youre down I do for you
And now I find that youre untrue
