Aung San Suu Kyi
Your name means Liberty
Freedom and Equality
Just like Mandela, Gandhi
And Martin Luther King
Your name means Sacrifice
Hope and Respect for human dignity
You are the last hope for all Burmese
Your dedication is fit for a King.
The democratic world supports you
And loves you
You are the Queen of perseverance
You are fearless in front of malfeasance
Barbarism, brutality and ignorance
Dictatorship always fails
It is a matter of time
Patience always prevails
It is a matter of time.
The enemy is scared
The junta is afraid
Words can defeat bullets
Common sense always defeats bad shots
This is a decent way to phrase it
Bullies are brutal
Because they are immoral
And anti-democratic
Be strong and energetic.
Your name means Democracy
Justice for all and Courage
The lion's rage
Will fade away soon
Don't change your tune
You are like Mandela, Gandhi
And Martin Luther Junior
This is an encore
Keep at it, keep at it
Stay strong, stay fit.

Martin Luther King Junior
Today is Martin Luther King Junior's birthday; a day that we celebrate.
Without his influence, Barack Obama probably wouldn't be the President of the United States.
He wanted black people to have equal rights.
He didn't cower in the face of this fight.
He knew that some people are consumed by hate.
Sadly one of those people took his life in 1968.
Martin Luther King Junior died for what he believed in.
People shouldn't be prejudice because of the color of skin.

This Hero (An Ode To The American Military Veteran)
The American Military Veteran, a breed of hero, unparalleled in history,
Gave so much to so many-yet, somehow remains to them, a mystery.
What would possess an individual with so many rights guaranteed,
To leave it all behind, and gallantly defend liberty in a foreign land in need! ? !
Why would they risk their lives for the sake of strangers-or, even care! ? !
Perhaps they believe: 'injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.' *
Freedom is only ever free so long as there are patriots willing to die to preserve it.
'Hero' is a moniker oft-bandied about, but there are some who truly deserve it.
This hero simply acts, when and where action is needed, in spite of danger.
This hero acts with honor and integrity, for a Brother In Arms, or a stranger,
No matter the risk to him or herself-a selfless dedication that very few possess.
What this hero means to a free world, words could never properly express;
A simply 'thank you for your service' is all that most people can humbly tender,
All the while, never able to gather what drives a person to banish the word 'surrender'
From his/her vocabulary, and speak a language filled with acronyms and foreign jargon.
'Enemies of the Constitution', foreign or domestic, are not ones with which they will bargain-
For THIS, and this alone, is the one precept to which they pledge unwavering allegiance.
We are One Nation Under God, and they believe that He created, in His Omnipotence,
This 'More Perfect Union' so that we may be freedom's foremost defender.
This hero served, so that all may enjoy liberty and justice, in all their splendor,
Not just for today and tomorrow-but, so that our progeny may, for all perpetuity,
Live their lives under the blanket of the freedoms provided by truly selfless acuity.
This hero deserves so much more from us than just our heart-felt appreciation,
He or she earned the right to your utmost respect, with tireless dedication
To principles that most seem to take for granted, except when reminded.
Take the time to truly get to know one of these heroes, if you are still blinded
By an ignorance that may be unintentional, yet very real still the same.
These words are meant to edify and inspire, not surely to assess any sort of blame-
Not only will you surely get to better know a remarkably heroic human being,
But perhaps learn to appreciate more, the very freedom you are now seeing.

Should we understand the last 25 years of global integration as nothing more than a detour from the previous inevitable cycle of history — where might makes right, and politics is a hostile competition between tribes and races and religions, and nations compete in a zero-sum game, constantly teetering on the edge of conflict until full-blown war breaks out? Is that what we think? Let me tell you what I believe. I believe in Nelson Mandela’s vision. I believe in a vision shared by Gandhi and King and Abraham Lincoln. I believe in a vision of equality and justice and freedom and multi-racial democracy, built on the premise that all people are created equal, and they’re endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights. And I believe that a world governed by such principles is possible and that it can achieve more peace and more cooperation in pursuit of a common good. That’s what I believe. And I believe we have no choice but to move forward; that those of us who believe in democracy and civil rights and a common humanity have a better story to tell.

Martin Luther King
Martin Luther KIng...
you were a torch
that lit a darkened world,
a beacon,
for all those oppressed,
a song,
for the downtrodden and weary...
you looked beneath the skin,
and saw the soul!
life cut short,
far too soon by
the forces of hatred and fear...
Martin, we need you now!
your vision lives in the
hope of the oppressed...
your determination our anchor,
your heart beats strong
in each of us who believe!

Take What You Want
Written by John Mellencamp
Put your life on the table
Stick your money on the line
Create the situation there, one more time
Your name it means nothing
And the dreams that we live ??
And now you don't care if she is, the girl from next door
She's never been known for nothing, but a motor street whore
You don't believe nothin' that you can't see
And you see me as nothing, to me, yeah-ah yeah
You can take what you want
Take what you want
Take what you want
But just don't take it away
You can stay if you want
Stay if you want
Stay if you want
But just don't stay all day
Cause you know it means nothing, to me
Don't see much sense in lying here with you
The sex is over now, what is there left to do
Conversation, conversation baby, I don't talk that much
And now I don't know when I'm gonna see you again
I'm leaving tomorrow and this will all start again
I hope you don't believe that you was a failure ??
And you see it means nothin' to be a man
(repeat chorus 2 times)
But you know it means nothing
Yeah you know it means nothing
Yeah you know it means nothing, to me

Doing the right thing.....
Sometimes it means giving in
When you know that nothing else matter
Sometimes it means needing to be quiet
When words can no longer deliver the message
Sometimes it means going separate ways
When things have gotten unbearable and hopeless
Sometimes it means turning away
When your presence will do more harm than good
Sometimes it means giving up your dreams
When you no longer have time to dream
Sometimes it means stop hoping
When there's nothing else to hope for
Sometimes it means giving up your reasons
When you know that they just don't fit
Sometimes it means masking your true feelings
When you know that you have to put up a face
Sometimes it means keeping the love within your heart
When you know that it can only bring pain.

From My Perspective
From my perspective
I believe that Tupac Shakur was a victim of racism
So as Nelson Mandela, who fought through courage towards the bright light
Tupac was not just a rapper who stood up for young Black males
But an icon to me, a prophet and a voice of Malcolm X, Martin Luther King
And all the unmentioned prophets
There are many examples of such prophets, the other one Is Biko
He is the hero of me, although we still fight the battle within the minds black
Away from the now foreseen ‘Tribal racism’
I remember the time they released Mandela from jail
I was eight years old,
That was a good day for me.
I also remember the time they assassinated Chris Hani
It was just after my birthday, April the 9th
That was a sad day for me
Although all the true stories are never told
My perceptive forever hold
Your perspectives forever hold
After all, this is Africa the truth here is served dead and cold
