Lonesome Ranger

I'm traveling in this beat up pick up truck.
The back seat door doesn't even open up.
Each and every day I have no clue where I'm going.
But still I'm on my way.
To new air, new places, new faces.
How do you do stranger?
I feel like the lonesome ranger.

Working along the highway all day.
People driving by saying all kinds of things.
Asking the occasional amonish and farmer for one or two favors.
A place to park the trucks, a place to get up and start.
One, Two, Three, and it's ready set go.

Each and every day I have no clue where I'm going.

To new air, new places, no faces.
How do you do stranger?
I feel like the lonesome ranger.

The night comes and the sun is gone.
The stars mark the way.
I can see the city lights before I arrive.
God their so bright.
Which bar am I going too?
With the money that has been made.
It is time to celebrate.
The weekend has come and soon my brian will be gone.
Hooking up with another one stand.
Cause nobody want to be with a man that is never home.

From the mountain, to the backwoods, and rivers, down to the valley of Pennsylvania.
I would never leave this place not for all the gold in the world.
A mix of every culture, from the all these Catholic Yanks, to the invading spanish and indians, to rednecks that seem more backwards then the ones from the south, to the everlasting Mennonites.
The whole state is covered in all kinds of trees.
So much variety a place that always makes me happy.

I Want to Know

There is too much I can not ignore.
Too much beyond my open door,
I explore to have those unknowns shown.

I can not sit...
Just to imagine what exists.
Or to hear from others...
From their point of view.
As they experience what it is,
I too wish to do!

Assume

assume that things always
wait for you with all stability
these inanimates
if you think clearly has
a lesson for us to tell:

the table no matter
how tired still stands
on its four legs

the chair no matter
how problematic
its life is
still manages to
hold your bottom

the bed no matter
what happens
even if it has some
problems taking
its much needed sleep
still accommodates
your tired body and
makes itself available
for you and your
little darlings

the windows no matter
what the weather is
still clings to the walls
it closes when it rains
and opens when it
gets too hot

the door opens and
closes when someone
from your family arrives
and departs to some
places

they do not ask questions
they perform their duties
and they never complain
until they are finally broken
and then you throw them
away or replace them

i suppose they are more
stable and uncomplaining.

why can't we be like them
less our capacity for feeling?

Falling In Love With Love

Every where I went, there was love in the air
Couples holding hands, showing that they cared.
Every where there were smiling faces
Different towns, different places.

I was young and did not know
When you fell in love it would show.
Love is like a whisper of fresh air
Its aromas take your mind and body
To places its never been before.
And opens up every pore- every door.

It gives us a sense of floating two feet off the ground
Never wanting to come down.
What is love?
Thousands of descriptions of what love is
But no two are ever the same.
Love is love- love is pain.
But without it, our lives will never be the same.

Falling in love is so easy to do
But! “Falling in love with love” is what we all do.
We want to feel loves emotions,
including the pains and the devotions.
Love can be like a cruise on the ocean
You know where you started
but you can’t see where you are going.
For it is water as far as the eyes can see
And the clouds that may roll in
Can bring some mystery.
We want our love to be a story book romance
But we all know, we’re just taking a chance.
Falling in love with love- is not what we want to do
We have to feel both the love and the pain
For what good is love, when there is nothing else to gain.
So let us stop deceiving ourselves
Love is love and can be hell.

If It Opens

I owe the wonderful memories I keep,
To those who were unafraid to adventure.
The people who kept the reaching of destinies,
On their minds.
And finding the saying of 'why Not? ' unconfining.

So grateful I am to have dismissed limits,
To explore the value of a life given to me to live.
With a willingness to comprehend,
My commitment to the mix and my involvement.

Although I've grown to admit of having little patience,
When listening to those describing their fears.
With excuses to make to have them validated.

I owe the wonderful memories I keep,
To those who were unafraid to adventure.
And as I age to recognize doubters who profess faith...
I am happy not to be that one,
Procrastinating with a hesitation done.

I know what it is to pursue dreams that come true.
I also know what it's like,
To have more of them too!
And I also know too well,
Not to wait for someone else to open a door.

If it opens,
I will not be asked to walk through.
If a door can be opened,
Walking through it is what I will do.

I am a like like time!
With nothing on my mind but moving forward.

With An Adventuring To Do To Explore More

Did I think,
One day you'd be reading me?
No!
Not this way.
But Reading you,
And the things people did and do.
I've always done.
Using a pad and pen.
To diescribe situations,
I'd find myself in.

Today who reads what I say,
Or believes what I express.
Depicts me best.
May or may not be true at the time.
Since my mind finds topic to explore.
And when I've completed my interest.
I leave that behind to open another door.
With an adventuring to do to explore more.

The Web of Life

The web of life cycles continues
to weave its pattern around us.
We are an extension of everything
that has gone on before us.Each
being a separate energy, taken
from a large energy field.

We are as students in the earth
school, participating as time
travelers throughout the eons of
time. Being a small part of the
whole. This life cycle carries
us from life to life..As actors
in the drama of life.

We have the potential of under-
standing within ourselves. The
secret is how do we tap into the
knowledge. One way is through
Chakra #6, the brow Chakra. Also
known as the third eye, lying
between the two eye-brows, center
of forehead.

Travelin' Man

The man i loved ran a salesman route
Selling goods from house to house
Now i knew my mama would never stand
For me stepping out with no traveling man
Mama bought things that he was a'selling
But mama didn't know and i sure wasn't telling
That behind her back i was making plans
To meet somewhere with that traveling man
Oh the traveling man was a good bit older
But a girl needs arms to hold her
Mama didn't know 'cause i didn't told her
But mama wouldn't understand
Me stepping out with a traveling man
Mama didn't allow me a'going courting
And i'd tell lies that i reckon i oughtn't
Oh but she'd a'give me the back a' her hand
If she'd a'seen me with that traveling man
So i tell my mama that i reckon i oughta
Go to the spring and fetch us some water
What mama didn't know is i had a plan

Taking The Wings Of A Dragon

Here I am staring at the sun, wondering what I've become. Was I on the run? Well now its over. Im taking the wings of a dragon and getting ready to fly. I want to embrace the sky. I want to live my life before I die. I don't want to hide behind contradictions or lies. So here I am staring at the sun, wondering what I've become. Was I on the run? Well now its over. I'm taking the wings of a dragon and getting ready fly. Empty the mind, open the soul and let it all flow through. Broken hearts can be glued. I know that at one time it seemed as if I was screwed.
