You Dear Father
“Was it you dear father” some one very close uttered
Very deadly in dealing and all my childhood dreams shattered
Were you not so considerate when I needed?
I heard and obeyed you and all advices heeded
I raised eyes painfully and looked at him
He was my dearest son intelligent and very thin
I looked after him well but kept under tight control
He was required to respond at very first call
Why was he bearing all such things and carrying?
Was I so cruel and hard on his behavior?
I raised my eyebrows in unhappiness and despair
But I felt damage was done and beyond repair
I might have beaten him on number of occasions
When he might have failed to respond to number of questions
I was to get infuriated at his inaction
But I still restrained so much for reaction
No parents may want unruly scenes at home
Children are expected to behave well and always welcome
What I couldn’t understand even today about their silence?
I had kept all the options open and restrained hence
I took at least one good care and prevented their defiance
I was considerate and fulfilled all their demand at once
No one had any reason to feel neglected
I had sincerely felt and acted
I look back all those reminisces
There might be omission and many misses
But that does not amount any cruel attitude
I failed to understand his behavior with prelude
The past scenes just hurried before my eyes
He used to remain scared and made no try
To convince me of his intention and feeling
I was eager to hear those words and willing
Now all things have become past
I am approaching end of the life very fast
He may carry same impression forever
I smiled at him and tried to convince him however
He could understand my point of view
It is improbable and may be realized by few
It is difficult to erase bad memory from mind
At a time when it is stored and understood as unkind

End Of The Road
That day I was severely bitten
I was hungry had not even eaten
Father had angrily roughed me up
I was heavily charged and couldn't stand or jump
It is very hard for child to bear
I was shaken and remained in tears
I failed to understand abut his wrath
Some thoughts entered mind to accept death
I am hardly grown up and faced such ire
I always looked at him with respect and admired
At no stage I caused him worry or tension
But this event forced me to think with lot many questions
I am from the village and could see dusty road
Little air or wind may lift sand and add the load
Any thing you do may have some dependence
You can't think of partial or complete independence
I sat on the road mouth and looked at far end
Barren path with no one to accompany as friend
I knew now how it may be difficult to survive!
It is do or die battle to carry on with life and live
I saw some reason behind father's anger
He was not at all educed or good manager
He had meager means to carry on and face
Lot many challenges that might come in race
Like any other father he had sustained struggle
Underwent lot many ups and downs with troubles
I was easy target for him to vent the feeling
Yet I felt no bad for him and kept on smiling
He came to me and asked for some desire or wish
To go out for play with friends and have sweets
I said 'No dad' it is Albright with me
The tears rushed abruptly and very free
He sensed some pride hurt
Even though I was child but looked cute
He had soft corner for me but was victim of circumstances
I was beaten but it happened only at once
Many parents see it as bad sign
Child should never be felt to resign
It crates adverse impact on growing mind
Child sees it as rare out burst and wishes never to find
I looked again at the end of road
The horizon looked me vast and broad
It reminded me of coming days
'One should not be lost on the ways'

At the door
I was stunned at the development
I couldn’t take my eyes off for the moment
I starred at the vast and open sky
Thoughts just emerged in mind to fly
It was not all of sudden but just coincided
She was away but I was still undecided
How deep impact she had left on my mind
Where from else I was to have her find
Each and every moment I died for her presence
She was just before me even in her absence
I couldn’t blink or close the eyes
I couldn’t understand why eyes chose to defy?
I had come across hr by the grace of God
I am unable to say whether it was blessings or not
I still feel it was divine call to have come through
I had not tried at all or made the attempts to woo
She was away to respond social call
Little absence was tearing me apart to cause a fall
Her beautiful face all of sudden surfaced as wall
I was really astonished for her status as very tall
She might have not entered my life as yet
I had made desperate move to end the wait
It was about to be over but could not take off
Some more wait was needed to soften it off
Night was proving very dark and frightening
There was complete silence without any lighting
Only active mind could think of entering into fight
There was constant clash in mind to prove it right
I had developed inner strength of dependence
It was proving very difficult to remain alone hence
This is how I looked so perturbed at her being away
I felt it needless to go in for her search and find the way
I wanted some gentle steps at the door
I don’t know what I was searching for
It was definitely a search for mild knock
I had all the pure love for her in store
It clicked for a while and I heard some talk
It was coming gently as if like cat walk
She was heard saying some one to keep quiet
She was all for surprise and not allowing me to let
I could think of gravitational pull
There prevailed definitely some lull
It was giving indication of powerful drive
Love is such force for us to survive
You can find it in abundance
If you carefully observe and glance
It is in all the form and in every object
Only we term it in a particular subject

On your part
It was greatness on your part
You ignored it from the start
I was proving difficult and wild
You laughed it out with cool mind
My behavior was almost childish
I did not allow it to finish
You were forced not to complete
As I disliked they way you tried to compete
I suffer from intolerance
I react strongly always in somebody’s presence
It cuts through my image and reputation
All chances are ruined and eye brows are raised with questions
It is expected or customary to remain polite in every field
This may help you to exert influence or yield
You are not driven to the inhospitable terrain
Everybody is in agreement with you and your brain
You are not only a good friend but mentor
Nice advisor and good commenter
I shall rush to you for any help
You will render it without caring for self
It was my earnest desire to fall in line
You were considerate and very fine
I had made every attempt to woo
As it was beneficial and proving true
I am little hot headed and very impatient
My reaction comes on the spot and very instant
This infuriates everybody and I am being targeted
“Stupid, ungrateful” and so on for me to be equated
I remain unwanted in most of the functions
I have heard to such talks or instructions
It is complete lack of affinity with any individual
The disliking should be minimal and even casual
I may be unceremoniously sometimes targeted to fun
They may have the wrong notion with idea to make me on run
I understand it but refuse to surrender under any pretext
As it is and clear to me that they are very far from fact
I have some reservation on certain things to some extent
Everybody is free to think and pass the reasonable comment
It must be made amply clear in mind that it should not cause any hurt
Else it will be construed as malice amounting to throw mud or dirt
No individual is that foolish to catch the fire
Who will not want to be dear eye or be admired?
It is not important how you behave in polished manner
But how you react to the criticism and sinner
I had loved quality of yours all along
Even though I was proved on many counts wrong
You had helped me to overcome some shortfalls
It was impregnable and difficult high wall

A 'Papa, please
I couldn’t see in his eyes
When my son hardly could say bye
I felt so betrayed by his gesture
I could sense of guilt but was not sure
He did not utter a word when I used to thrash
He would go away and cry while making wash
I saw sadness in him but he did not tell
I felt nothing was good or going well
I felt from my heart for his dismay show
He had very slow space and unable to grow
All children were shining in their own way
He was proving helpless and sliding away
He came into this world before maturity
We were still joyous by seeing glorious beauty
He was only hope for our well being
We too were ready to do anything and sing
I tried to read child’s mind
As dad he had nothing to find
I sensed trouble for being so unkind
He wanted me to be considerate and kind
“Dad, can I request you for something”?
He gathered courage and unfolded wing
“I get so much pain when you beat”
“I am unable to bear and it is painful to eat ‘
I almost wept for his pain
This was only his concern main
I was committing unpardonable cruelty
I cursed self and even couldn’t feel pity
‘I will study sincerely and give you result”
“I may prove myself and feel you no insult”
I couldn’t believe my eyes as he went on
He had defeated me and almost won
I used to full him up and throw on ground
He used to weep and no friends were found
‘You may kill him one day” wife scolded
I decided to withdraw with hands folded
He did fare in the life and stood firm
He was obedient and used to confirm
He never disrespected and always obliged
I too felt sense of satisfaction and realized
Life would have chance to retaliate
I was unsure of what steps fate might initiate
It was our belief that we got to suffer for bad act
No one could help if one was at any time out of tract
He is now grown up boy but had chance to remind
“Dad, you were un considerate and unkind”
‘Why were you beating me for absolutely no fault”?
This came to me all of sudden as blue from bolt
Whole scene just went off my memory as flash
Mind and heart was at disagreement and always at clash
If we try to be good parent or obedient children
Life garden will become green with happiness and never barren

Destroyed
Destroyed
I did my best to please you
But my best was never good enough
Somehow you're only able to see
All I am not
Did you ever look behind
Aren't you afraid of the pieces you'll find
I have failed you
but you have failed me too
[Chorus]
It's so easy to destroy
and condemn
The ones you do not understand
do you ever wonder if it's justified
It's so easy to destroy
and condemn
The ones you do not understand
in your life why didn't you ever try
I close my eyes as I walk the thin line
between love and hate
For the person with the same blood in his vains
You show no regrets
about all the things you did or said
I have failed you
but believe me
you failed me too
[Chorus 2x]

No hint
I didn’t get hint until was knocked down
I failed to admit lapses until made known
It never occurred to me that I am just water bubble
No rosy path for me but only full of troubles
How long I can claim innocence?
What do I lack really in substance?
I have no answer for it and never tried
Wherever got chance I definitely lied
I remained typical human being
Always eager for monetary benefits to bring
Sang to the praise of favorable wind
Shut the eyes to realities and remained blind
“Oh, pardon me “I will often say
Meanwhile think a lot in mind and find the way
Employ another trick to dupe a person
Cheat somehow with strong arguments and reasons
Things used to materialize as per the wish
Faced no problem so far to make it fine finish
Yet there was impression that I was insincere
People wont’ come out in open just out of fear
People choose to remain away from undesired company
They would prefer some distance and avoid accompanying
It is but natural that no one would want bad fame
So I was recognized as person not desired at any time
I believe in god and do regular prayers
Still keep searching easy target as buyers
They will fall to my charming personality
I have done it several times and proved as quality
I got shock when failed in recent times
I was meeting with repeated failures sometimes
For ordinary things I was booked for crimes
I was black listed and added in the bad names
I have thought over it on number of occasions
The old habits had made it as profession or obsessions
Now time has come that I must call it a day
Move with the people and find new way
I am sure of some changes that might be coming to all
They might be consciously beaten and forced to call
Shut all the activities that were pursued blindly
And now think of good means to come up kindly
We are prisoner of our own conscience
It requires good thinking with available chance
If time allows then one must assume fine role
Earn in a honorable way and never try to steal
Today I feel restless without sleep
I ceaselessly think about failure to keep
The normal behavior expected from an ordinary person
And never adapt to a change for known reasons

Childhood
I was unable to read and understand
What were papa up to and his stand?
When he will be angry or loose temper?
When he will embrace me or pamper?
I was feeling secure and happy as child
Mother was always very kind and mild
She looked to me as ocean of love
Ready with delicious food and serve
In her warmth I could feel bright day
She was almost there to show the way
She may forgo her comfort of sleep and say
I must be good boy and attention must pay
Her words are stored as unforgettable memory
When she is not seen around I feel so sorry
I search her here and there with utmost concern
So many things I had yet to follow and learn
Papa sometimes come heavily on me and scolds
Mother at the same time come and warmly holds
What a greatness to shower love with difference?
One must understand and draw lesson with inference
Papa seemed to me very harsh as head of family
He used to hold my hand firmly for mistakes silly
Mother may not interfere and make father angry
She may feed me with love when I felt hungry
Still I felt immense love for father
He was determined to take me further
He made me to look different from others
So I should be of my own and needn’t bother
As parent they taught me lesson with high morality
They did all they could do as per their ability
How to express why I hold then in high esteem? |
May be their intense love which to me possibly seem
Many children may not find situation like this
They might have lost parents and surely miss
Childhood is most important thing to cherish
Their sweet memories remain and don’t vanish

My Teacher's Voice Mail Message
This is Mrs. Crane and I'm pretending I'm not home.
I wish you pesky little kids would just leave me alone.
I know you called to say at being cruel I'm number one,
or to whine about your homework, or to cry 'cause school's no fun.
So, to answer all your questions: No, I do not think I'm cruel.
Yes, you have to do your homework. No, you can't have fun at school.
And parents, you're no better 'cause you're driving me insane.
If you've raised a really rotten kid, don't call me to complain.
I don't care if you think I'm mean, or dumb, or just a bore.
So, when you hear the beep, hang-up, and don't call anymore.
Letters I Didn't Write
I wish you could have read…
The Letters
that I failed to write
I wish you could have felt the touch…
Of hands that failed to
reach out at night
Would’ve liked for you
to have heard…
Words I couldn’t say
Would’ve liked to have felt
The emotions missed…
When I failed to ask you to stay
What you didn’t feel…
When you didn’t hear …
The words I didn’t say
I wish you could have
At least…Felt the love
That you didn’t feel that day
I wish you could’ve known …
The feelings
that I didn’t show
The words I couldn’t bring to light
And tell you
Long ago
I wish somehow,
you could know now
Of things you knew not then
Of words I didn’t say or write
Of touch, or love
Of things... that might have been

Face Some Gap
I thrashed my son for being lazy
He looked at me uncomfortably
It was unbearable for him and felt uneasy
I could notice it but forgot as remained busy
Many have often said “child’s mind is like plant”
You can mould it they you wish or want
It needs simple care and little attention
This thing child may pick up for future retention
I felt sore at being harsh and unreasonable
It was to be advised to him as no trouble
Something child may take very pleasantly
This is supposed to be the right trend presently
Why some of the parents later face some gaps
Child remembers harshness and often blows or slaps
This impression makes him little adamant in gesture
He rages with anger and determines something for future
As we know it from the experience and from tales
That good education and environment definitely sales
The child becomes all the more prone to good behavior
Parents may be considered as next to the God or savior
Certain noble thought we give them in inheritance
Child picks it easily and can be known from visible stance
He may have bluntness with full authority and knowledge
He may drive through and through with clear edge
I have seen such impact in some of the brilliant students
They have come out successfully and passed through critical events
Yet they resent the past attitude on the part of parents
As it had demoralized them by making serious dents
I understand now how it can cause damage
How individual should be allowed to come up with age
Not forgetting the facts of nature for good environment
So later on not face such harsh and unpleasant comments

Thinking of the Past
If you could go back into the past
what would you do differently?
knowing it wouldn't last.
You would have to take, the good with the bad,
you couldn't just re-live the good,
of the things you have lived, also the sad.
Thinking of the past brings depression,
you think of it to often,
it'll only bring you obession.
The past wasn't all good,
today, will be the past tommorw
are things good now? Have you understood?
Think about the past
but understand this.
it does not last.
Make the best for today,
then in the future,
you will enjoy that day.
Tears dropp
Tears dropped from my eyes
As the days passed by
It was painful yet so dear
I had to undergo it and bear
I remembered exactly when father was no more
It had jolted me and tore apart
The mother was still there to console
I heaved a sigh of relief with strong pole
As mother proved to be strong lady
There was felt no vacuum for the daddy
He had left no fortune but placed us in strong hand
Mother took the control and treated us like friends
We owed the body and soul to parents
It was true and very much apparent
We had learnt lessons of self sufficiency
Mother worked hard for us not to feel any deficiency
I remember and count critical moments
Mother stood firm and gave no vents
It was her heroic effort to keep us under fold
She taught us to be brave and bold
Today when I look back and open the memory
It all moves like movie with all impressions to carry
I move with all the scenes as if it has happened yesterday
It has ended with the nightmare in a day
We were hand to mouth for many days
We could find no respectful way
It required great struggle to survive
We too were determined for powerful drive
It did not break us from within
It was situation like no loss no wins
We had learnt a lot to stand fast
The situation was not to remain same till last
I have vivid memory and painful past
Even though it made us tough to stand fast
It had made us to forget and leave behind
There was to be left no trace to find
Though mother is not with me today
I have not forgotten those days
She was by all means an alert guard
To take us in strength and look forward
I have raised great empire with all means
She is there in all the corners and seen
It was her resolute stand that took us out of storm
She was as dedicated as before and fully informed
I shed tears not for being left alone
But her action to take us out from cyclone
Had she lost her courage and presence of mind
We would have been no where to find
Though God is great to take us to shore
We pray all those dear ones and adore
We can do nothing for their brave front
Only last glorious moments make us to confront

Giving In To The Pain
world not all that it seems,
it's a cruel place,
where things happen,
without an explanation,
i use to think there was a reason,
to why things happen,
now...i don't know what to think,
nothing is making sense,
i want a way out,
but don't know how,
i'm sick of dealing with pain,
it something i can't control,
but, it seem to stick to me like tape,
in some shape or form,
i think of one way out,
just to be free,
from this life i call prison,
nothing seem to change,
life still gets the best of me,
sometimes family can't understand,
to them,
i'm not suffering,
it's all in my head,
to them,
i'm just crazy,
because i'm different in a way,
they just don't understand,
i doubt that they ever will,
i'm doing everything i can,
just to seem fine,
they don't know,
i'm missing everything in my life,
my happiness i had in life,
everything i had going for me,
i would trade life,
just so i won't feel this pain,
i know life has pain,
why this much?
what the point?
i'm hating myself more,
should i just give in?

Painful to rememeber
How painful it is to remember past days?
Especially when you are brought up with hard ways
Hands were trying to reach for two square meals
And utter failure in making any honorable deal
Parents looking helplessly for future of child
Showing no sign of weariness but act very mild
N0 sign of desperation and dealing with presence of mind
With the only hope that some solution is there to find
The animals too go or pass through same condition or similar
I memorize my parent seized with their love for me in particular
What I could not understand most was their stubborn attitude?
Why were they still refusing to budge from faith with gratitude?
They were not fully clothed and witnessed all the seasons
I could see no visible sign of fatigue with any of the reasons
May I was the only hope for their bright tomorrow
They did not bother or surrendered or other things to allow
Mother would never complain of any ill treatment
She might be passing through so much agony at that moment
She would watch me with affection and laugh it out
I would demand for anything and ask her about
Father would get little irritant and loose the temper
He would regret for having being short of or poor
But nevertheless he had the lion’s heart
I could always see him resolute with very good art
Today they are not with me but I am blessed
In life I met all the successes and never faced
Any shortage but got it easily with comfort
I slip into memory with folded hand to report
How parents were undergoing all woes with hardship?
They had no one besides to offer the hand of friendship
Only faith in supreme authority helped them to over come
All problems and hardships were nothing but welcome
I pray the almighty not to rob me of golden past
I revert to the old memory whenever slight doubts are cast
I learn the lessons of tolerance and resolute action
My parents were never frustrated with reaction
They lived with whatever little they had
It was not the reason to feel sad
They were strong enough not to feel bad
They felt for not looking after me well and properly fed
Such things never occur in human being life
Only fortunate may pass through the edge of knife
It is good to preserve it as precious matter
We will know the true value of well being later

Really crazy
Some of the friends are really crazy
It will be damn difficult and not easy
To convince fully with real intent
I always feel bad about it and repent
Why can’t they understand the feeling behind?
Why do they not apply instinct and mind?
What does “no” mean to be taken for every time?
Is it proper to term it as affront and crime?
Nia is my best friend and wishes me every time
I wish to see her but does not say yes anytime
“No” she will reply and log out in anger
I will repeat every time the same and face the danger
She will not insult but not respond well either
She might have felt bad in past doesn’t want the storm together
I too understand but prefer to remind her and tease
She will smile but not make me feel at ease
I will repeatedly say “Friends are friends”
They will remain same at the end
They should know and recognize the face
She will not relent and budge in any case
I would tease her by saying “yes plus yes means yes”
I would further add by saying “No plus no means also yes”
She would assert and reply “once said means final no”
She is kind and I would never thinking of leaving her and go
She would contradict her own stand by saying different
“Opposite poles attract each other and like poles repellent”
I would laugh and offer no comment for simple reason
She is nice and very kind hearted person
The God has given a kind heart to the lady
She will oblige and always show she is ready
Only if the real intent and honesty is to be shown
No one can then stop you to occupy the position and own

Reason for annoyance
What a severe jolt and push to me in person?
When son made attempt to dislodge me without any reason?
I was there just watching beautiful house built with hard work
Now I found myself on the road with harsh comment and jerk
All past scenes just emerged on my mind screen
Rude behavior and disrespect in such manner was never seen
I had brought up the children with lots of struggle
Now they have pushed me out of home causing troubles
How can one expect such humiliation from their blood?
Where person has taken enough care to bring them up and provide food
Imparted enough of education so that everything is properly understood
But today I find my self in fix and curse the luck to be in wood
I watched and stared at the beautiful mansion
It had all my attachment, emotions and dreams to mention
How hard I had struggled to build small nest?
Not so big but enough to afford them as the best
Birds fly off when their young ones get strong wing
Change the whole behavior and differently sing
They won't recognize who was their originator
No relation there after for being a sole selector
"You have no place to be here or around"
"You will had it if in future you were found"
I felt pity at him for being rude and disrespectful
He forgot to remember that one day he too might be unsuccessful
All parents wish their children to be highly educated
Stand on own feet and be highly rated
Raise the head with social status and stand with pride
But never expect indifferent attitude to be tried
I loved to be parent of good children
I always blessed them despite arrogance even
I thought of noble act and preferred to be judged later
Let them enjoy material wealth but not turn as hater
The welcome home represented dedicated effort
With only one aim to anchor safely at port
Stay with family as one unit and enjoy
But alas! It has turned out to be a reason for annoyance

Try to Understand Me Too (Autism)
Today might not be my day,
You might understand what I want to say.
There are times that I want to wave my hand,
And you might think it is something that I am trying to demand.
Can you hear the soun
ds as I pound my feet,
Well maybe not, but all I am doing is trying to sound a beat.
Do you remember when I read the book with you?
It was about the ghost and you made me laugh when you said BOO.
I love to hear it when we whisper and shout Lullabies, songs and rhymes,
To me I wonder, if they can hear us while we do this during school time.
This is one reason why I always say things over and over again,
And when you try to stop me, I get mad every now and then.
I only wish I can understand everything that I'm being told,
But to me it feels like I am always being controlled.
Can you remember when you asked the class a question and I wanted to answer it when was not my turn,
All I am just trying to do is show you that I can remember things that I learn.
I try to understand why I get so mad and I cannot control myself and I hurt you,
When I think about it I get sad and cry because I wish someone could, Try to Understand Me Too.
I wish the other kids would let me play,
If they took the time to talk to me, they might understand things my way,
I also love it when you want to teach me how to pray,
And you ask the Lord to help thru this day,
I know that you understand me and even, if no one ever wants to even take a guess,
So, this is my ways of saying thank you and telling you that I will always try and do my best.

Needing Details And Specifics
Please don't say you understand,
Because you couldn't.
And I know you don't.
Please don't say you've got my back,
When most of the time...
I don't know where you are at.
When I decided to heal and cure,
From my own hidden agonies...
Knowing they were mine alone,
It was as if folks I had not seen...
Most of my life,
Appeared from nowhere wanting to assist.
I felt something very wrong with this.
And I could not imagine how.
Or why 'now'?
I felt preyed upon by those ready to leech.
Those who saw me again healthy.
And wanted to see,
How quickly they could weaken me.
I don't have to hear people are evil.
Countless are my personal experiences.
When I decided to heal and cure,
From my own hidden agonies...
Nowhere in between my decision to do that,
And my healing process...
Were you seen.
Why didn't you return my calls?
AND you say you understand?
Please don't say you understand,
Because you couldn't.
And I know you don't.
Please don't say you've got my back,
When most of the time...
I don't know where you are at.
And please don't ask what it is you can do for me.
When the only thing I know you can do,
Since you have proven you can do this well...
You are not dependable or accountable for your actions.
And when you are available...
You have said to me you had nothing else to do!
And if I may...
I am going to 'assume' you have nothing else to do?
Well...
I have many things to do.
And one of them is not going to be accessible,
To people like you skilled in playing the role of deceiver.
I've seen that performance too much with a waste of my time.
Please don't say you understand,
Because you couldn't.
And I know you don't.
Please don't say you've got my back,
When most of the time...
I don't know where you are at.
But this is guaranteed?
I know you will not be here and around me.
And THAT I hope is understood,
Without you needing details and specifics.
Please don't say you understand,
Because you couldn't.
And I know you don't.
So never say it again.
