Prosperous Country Is Our Ambition

Hope of new India is our ambition
We had dreamed it as inhibitions
Hoped to remain as golden sparrow
For better future and tomorrow

We have planned in haphazard ways
No one has right direction and emphatic says
All come with different opinion
Cast, color, language divide the regions

We want to assess what is happen on moon?
Where as we have no means to provide shed in noon
Millions sleep hungry and without roof
What else you need as proof?

Neither the sun has changed
Not the moon has escaped
They have remained our life and aspirations
There is not much needed for revelations

The nature has shown wrath several times
We have yet to pick its lessons sometimes
Desert witnesses snow fall and floods in plain
Havoc all over with plenty and excessive rain

What have we with us to feel so proud?
We can raise our voice and protest so loud
We have left no corner to be touched
Water has disappeared and alarming level reached

Let poor, with hungry, belly rise in rebellion
Send all power hungry and corrupt people to pavilion
The blood spilled on surface may speak different
It will be bloodiest and horrendous movement

I wish it not to come so soon
They have nothing to eat in noon
For two loves of bread there is murder
To how many you may ask to surrender?

The situation is alarming
National interest is at stake and harming
Nobody wants to adopt farming
Everybody is after glittering world which is so charming

Emily Dickinson

I had been hungry all the years

I had been hungry all the years-
My noon had come, to dine-
I, trembling, drew the table near
And touched the curious wine.

'T was this on tables I had seen
When turning, hungry, lone,
I looked in windows, for the wealth
I could not hope to own.

I did not know the ample bread,
'T was so unlike the crumb
The birds and I had often shared
In Nature's dining-room.

The plenty hurt me, 't was so new,--
Myself felt ill and odd,
As berry of a mountain bush
Transplanted to the road.

Nor was I hungry; so I found
That hunger was a way
Of persons outside windows,
The entering takes away.

Hungry Moon (Ghazal)

It slowly creeps across the sky prowling for escapades, that hungry moon.
Darling, come with me, flirt with the night, I’ll protect you from that hungry moon.

We’ll dance the habanera and let it have its way with us all the night.
Then we’ll slip into the darkness under the shadow of that hungry moon.

With the conversation of the dance we’ll outshout cries from that hungry moon.
Together we’ll evade the ever-watching eyes of evry hungry moon.

We’ll outrun the loneliness that has stalked us throughout the slow-turning day.
A long day awaited, gobbled up during the night by a hungry moon.

We’ll look into the dream-lit stars until we’re dizzy, remember this night.
We’ll head for the shadows where it is darkest, away from the hungry moon.

With the swooping and snatching of an owl as it seizes its frozen prey,
I will not leave you in the shadows of the night or prey to that hungry moon.

Like a yelping dog, with the name of Ben, we’ll be racing across the ridge.
Encircled in my arms I’ll protect you then from that ever-hungry moon.

So Many Poor Souls And Not Many Who Care

So many poor souls and not many who care
Are doing it quite tough in the big World out there
The homeless and hungry teenagers of poverty street
Are searching in rubbish bins for something to eat

The gap is increasing in the social divide
And millions are Stateless and Homeless and hungry World wide
The victims of droughts and wars and disease
In the refugee camps millions of refugees.

The marginalized are doing it quite tough
On poverty street they are sleeping rough
People should not have to go hungry in the World of today
But such is not the case that does seem sad to say

For one wealthy person thousands in poverty
Those who need far more than words of sympathy
People who look old before they reach their life's prime
To be born to poor parents is their only crime.

Give me blood

'Give me blood, I will give you freedom'
The great son and patriot gave invitation with slogan
I shall take you to the shore of liberty
You deserve it by right and not by charity

Was it vision, love for country or pure wisdom?
These words can be heard seldom
Have we not bartered our freedom to few members?
Hardly few may find place now to remember

Country has become house hold of few
They have little time spare or no time or view
It is forced dynastic rule with no future for people
Praise the dynasty, have blessings and rule

Whom do we blame for such down fall?
The self rule for people without dashing against wall
Was it calculated move to pass on the helm of affairs?
Still to term it as great struggle and very fair

Country passing in turmoil and hungry foxes cry foul
Not responding to conscience and searching soul
Who else can rise from the grave and lead us to dreamland
Where our forefathers promised us a free land

Why did they all sacrifice life for nothing?
Was it the only aim to gain something?
They may be watching helplessly from heaven
In which way our heroic struggle has been proven?

Why all tall promises are made everyday?
The poor have nothing to fill in belly for a day
Life has become cheap and no means to lead a way
What are they all talking of subway, highway or motor way?

We shall be true republic and in every sense secular
We shall have not only peace and security in particular
But will power to quench the thrust of millions of hungry
All these only after firing at restless mob turning angry

We have nothing to offer poor a shelter
We have no planning to see welfare and cater
We can swallow not in millions but only in billions
One corrupt player watches another to enter on stage from pavilion

The freedom has become joke and an instrument
To establish rule of scoundrels with money and muscle movement
Where from all these countless money are poured in
What is there to rejoice on any republic day for win?

Let us not shed any tears or feel sad for departed souls?
They were not scammers, statute politicians but idiots and fools?
Why no father advised them what will be fate of their freedom struggle?
The country will be turned in wrestling ground and free for grab in jungles

Them Belly Full

Na-na na na-na na na na;
Na-na na na-na na na na;
Na-na na na-na na na na;
Na-na na na-na na na na.
Them belly full, but we hungry;
A hungry mob is a angry mob.
A rain a-fall, but the dirt it tough;
A yot a-yook, but d' yood no 'nough.
You're gonna dance to jah music, dance;
We're gonna dance to jah music, dance, oh-ooh!
Forget your troubles and dance!
Forget your sorrows and dance!
Forget your sickness and dance!
Forget your weakness and dance!
Cost of livin' gets so high,
Rich and poor they start to cry:
Now the weak must get strong;
They say, "oh, what a tribulation!"
Them belly full, but we hungry;
A hungry mob is a angry mob.
A rain a-fall, but the dirt it tough;
A pot a-yook, but d' yood* no 'nough.
We're gonna chuck to jah music - chuckin';
We're chuckin' to jah music - we're chuckin'.

A rain a-fall, but the dirt it tough;
A pot a-yook, but you no 'nough'

Have Desire To Have

Have money,
Plenty of money,
or little money,
Have appetite,
Have no time,
we are hungry,
and then become angry.

Have appetite,
Burning appetite,
Churning appetite,
dizzy appetite.

Have appetite,
Have plenty of time, but
Have no money.
People are hungry,
and they are hungry as always.

Angry are hungry,
anger for better things,
Better fast food,
better service,
better facilities

Hungry people are angry,
anger for basic food,
Just to fill the pit,
that churns day and night,
not knowing,
What is available to a man.

Hunger is the turning point,
when insufficiency is pointed.
Hunger is an insult,
when inefficiency is noted.

Let us have the desire,
to have a better world,
where no human,
go and sleep with hungry.

Feed Them!

Plenty of fertile land,
In every host and guest,
Plenty of much needed grains,
In every other country,
We have enough food to feed,
But People are hungry.
One billion in total,
Seven tenth of them in Asia,
People have no money,
People have no man created money,
They sleep in hungry,
People have no mint created coins,
To buy the food to evade pain,
To fill their acidic stomach,
Every six person on earth,
One person is skeletal,
With haunted look,
One hundredth of them,
In the developed world,
shame on the hypocrites,
who hold back and destroy the food.
Gods of human, Feed them.
Gods of heaven, Feed them.
Gods of hell, Feed them.
Singular God of the desert,
Please feed them.
with the food to the poor
and the knowledge to the ignorant,
who are recalcitrant in nature,
selling the Gods to human.

The Owl

DOWNHILL I came, hungry, and yet not starved,
Cold, yet had heat within me that was proof
Against the north wind; tired, yet so that rest
Had seemed the sweetest thing under a roof.

Then at the inn I had food, fire, and rest,
Knowing how hungry, cold, and tired was I.
All of the night was quite barred out except
An owl's cry, a most melancholy cry.

Shaken out long and clear upon the hill
No merry note, nor cause of merriment,
But one telling me plain what I escaped
And others could not, that night, as in I went.

And salted was my food, and my repose,
Salted and sobered too, by the bird's voice
Speaking for all who lay under the stars,
Soldiers and poor, unable to rejoice.

In Many Ways

Of elite athletes, celebrities and the rich and famous the praises you will hear so many sing
But they are mortals they don't live forever for human life is a temporary thing
All I ask of life is to be happy just for the remainder of my life span
It would be nice to grow old free of sadness and die painless in my sleep a happy man
In many ways I do feel very lucky when my lot in life with others I compare
So many people poor, hungry and Homeless and Stateless in the bigger World out there
What they would give to be lucky as I am at least I have a roof above my head
So many poor and hungry and sad people who sad to say feel envious of the dead
So many poor people in refugee camps they are the people of no fixed abode
The victims of Warlords and droughts and famines their life journey has been a hard old road
'Tis sad to think of the sadness all around us the Homeless children of poverty street
Who search in rubbish bins in the dark alleys for food that others have refused to eat
In many ways I do feel very lucky so many people far worse off than me
In the bigger World out there much want and sadness and many people live in poverty.

Hunger (John 6: 1-15)

I'm nobody
I'm just a child without family
I'm nobody
And I'm hungry

So I search for the crowd
To beg for mercy
May they have some food
Other than words of enemy

I'm hungry
And there's a crowd in front of me
They are walking into the same direction
To the mountain, near Tiberias I see

They are following for one man
He sits down and begins to tell a story
Story that I never heard in my life
Where the world is felt more joyful and merry

He doesn't shout or speak loud
But the wind carries His calm voice to every
As speaking to His children in their night bed
His face looks so bright and free

From a far distance
I continue to listen to His story
And slowly
I'm not anymore so hungry

His story starts to fill my heart with warmth
His presence covers my body with safety
And for the first time of my life
I feel more love and energy

And then suddenly
He raises His head and looking around of many
He talks to His friends about something
I hope it'll be soon or I will remember that I'm hungry

He comes again to the top
And blessing the bread and fish He carries
I'm not moved when the food is shared
I know it won't enough for any

I'm nobody
And no one will notice my small body
I keep watching from distance
Even though I'm very hungry

But then somebody comes closer
And drags me into the small circle
I don't know them and they to me
But strangely I don't feel lonely

I don't know when I'll eat again
I don't remember the last time I ate properly
But it doesn't matter anymore
At least now I won't be hungry

The food is keep coming from everywhere
They continually offer it to me
And for the first time of my life
Somebody really smiles to me

That moment I start to realize something
Many cheer and laugh heard in the party
How everybody eats and talks together
They are like in one big of family

Some people said it is miracle
Some other said God is there
I'm not truly understand
But I'm glad that I am here to see

Not because the food I get
But for the strength to live
Not because the vision I find
But for hope I allowed to have

And when the crowd starts to disappear
I still standing there like in trance
Maybe I won't see Him again
But I will keep this faith with me

I'm nobody
I'm just a child without family
I'm nobody
But now I won't be anymore hungry

A Street Riot

Poor, hapless souls! at whom we stand aghast,
As at invading armies sweeping by —
As strange to haggard face and desperate cry —
Did we not know the worm must turn at last?
Poor, hungry men, with hungry children cast
Upon the wintry streets to thieve or die —
Suffering your wants and woes so silently -
Patient so long — is all your patience past?

Are there no ears to hear this warning call?
Are there no eyes to see this portent dread?
Must brute force rise and social order fall,
Ere these starved millions can be clothed and fed?
Justice be judge. Let future history say
Which are the greatest criminals to- day.

Global Warming

Is global warming and on volcano?
Are the world leaders aware and know?
Do they know entire universe is on fire?
Industries and pollution sill they admire,

Weather change and unseasoned rains,
Flood’s havoc is worry main,
Everything to loose and nothing to gain,
All efforts nothing but going in vain

World’s largest nations flout the rules,
Advise other nations and look fools,
Unseasonable floods and rain in deserts,
They held meetings only for concerts,

Glaciers and drifting and melting,
Cold regions boil and are sweating,
Human survival is at stake,
People not bother and not awake,

Sea and oceans may swell,
Waves may sweep and dwell,
Shores may be wiped out and washed,
Destruction all over and fear unleashed,

Nothing will be left and saved,
Nature’s fury only paved,
Digging grave for self and others,
Who has time to think and bothers,

Forests are over and vanishing,
Green belt only in name and finishing,
Oil, gas, smoke polluting the air,
You will find children with white hair,

Diseases of several kinds and no cure,
Unnatural death is certain and for sure,
We displease the nature and invite wrath,
Inhaling poison and difficult breath,

One fifth of land will be submerged,
Sea will rise and can’t be caged,
Situation alarming and can’t be managed,
No solution in sight and steps not arranged,

Something to be done in earnestness,
Industries can thrive but with neatness,
Water can be used but with pureness,
Humans to be saved with equal fitness

Can we not be serious again?
Back to nature and energy regain,
Lovely fields and fresh air,
Will the efforts not be fair?

Hungry Eyes

Hungry eyes
Ive been meaning to tell you
Ive got this feelin that wont subside
I look at you and I fantasize
You are mine tonight
Now Ive got you in my sights
With these hungry eyes
One look at you and I cant disguise
Ive got hungry eyes
I feel the magic between you and i
I want to hold you so hear me out
I want to show you what loves all about
Darlin tonight
Now Ive got you in my sights
With these hungry eyes
One look at you and I cant disguise
Ive got hungry eyes
I feel the magic between you
And Ive got hungry eyes
Now Ive got you in my sights
With these hungry eyes
Now did I take you by surprise
I need you to see
This love was meant to be
Ive got hungry eyes
One look at you and I cant disguise
Ive got hungry eyes
I feel the magic between you
And Ive got hungry eyes
Now Ive got you in my sights
With those hungry eyes
Did I take you by surprise

We The People

I dream about a holy land
Where only live the friends
No foes, no rivals or greedy people
But only people to be called simple and noble

I wish the country to grow like tree
Where people find food in abundance and feel free
A shade to heave a sigh of relief
And even in diversity a bond of strong belief

Free justice to all and opportunity to grow
Enough of care and rivers with water to flow
No fight over rights but duties to care
I wonder for such place but to find where!

I wish the poor to be taken care of
But others are not neglected either
A place to live in like sacred land
Where hymns are played with musical band

Let morning be aired with cuckoo's melody
Churches, temples and mosques with name of almighty
Where day can rise with bright sun shine
Whole day to pass with struggle but to feel it very fine

Enough to eat and enough to feed
Where millions may smile sans greed
No lust for extra land and bloodshed at all
One voice from all to face and to prevent the fall

I wish to lead a march of hungry and desolate
Millions more with one voice to relate
Their participation in praise of mother land
Allow us to raise empire on solid sand

I wish to be buried along noble dead
Whose ideals were understood and read
I wish them all to sing in praise with peace
Let my all countrymen enjoy and live at ease

Color, cast and creed may try to divide
But let all them to unite and confide
Against any onslaught of division
This may then remain only our mission

I have been Hungry - after Emily Dickinson - I had been hungry all the years

I have been hungry through the years –
undernourished, incomplete -
awaiting in this vale of tears
for welcome symbiosis sweet.

I have been hungry! - vision clears
when appetite the verb to eat
reformulates as eyes and ears
attune to one heart's precious beat.

I have been hungry, it appears,
too much let slip where lip might meet
stained lip which, vain, in other spheres,
mistook itself for heart replete.

I have been hungry, - atmospheres
apart from others. Games repeat
the search to feel through vain veneers,
protecting self at cost of self-deceit.

I have been hungry, love's arrears
now heartbeat love pursue - retreat
impossible. Although change nears
the piper pays for past conceit.

I have been hungry, - hope now nears
puts trust in touch with touch whose heat
dissolves restraints when heart heart hears.
Twinned echo intimate may greet
an understanding which endears
self to self through paraclete
who hunger heals as fade false fears,
who braids heart, head, to spirit's seat...

I have been hungry, - change of gears -
intimacy, warmth, defeat
sends packing! Lacking naught, WE greet
long looked for happiness complete.

I HAD BEEN HUNGRY ALL THE YEARS

I had been hungry, all the Years—
My Noon had Come—to dine—

And touched the Curious Wine—

'Twas this on Tables I had seen—
When turning, hungry, Home
I looked in Windows, for the Wealth

Miracle Child (single B-side)

She got me to walk on water
I did what she said
She got me to steal the moonlight
Put it over her head
And after I moved the mountain
Which stood in the way
The answer was in the question
She asked me if I wanted to stay
All of my friends said it couldn't last
I'd be another there in her past
But I disagree 'cause
I can't say say no, no, no, no
Save me, she's so hungry
Make a man do anything
I know, she gets hungry
Gets away like an innocent child
Save me, she's so hungry
Has the appetite to everything
I know, she's just hungry
She's got the mind of a miracle child
And when I changed the seasons
And water to wine
I took all the wordly problems
And got the peace in our time
And after I built the temple
She wanted so bad
I took her to altar on Sunday
To look at everything that we had
I could say no, but I always do
Someone outside
Would be comin' through
And I can't stop her
I can't say no, no, no, no
She's so hungry
She gets hungry ...

Nowhere To Hide

You might not understand the way I write because I write for me
This is my selfish exploit, my medicine, for the acid-
This is how I choose to drown my sorrows, I hid them, quid
In a sea of deeper sorrow, that goes deeper still... can't you see
Sorrow for sorrow, can't you see, this my strategy
To chasten the pain with an ever greater pain
To drive out the darkness by further causing all light to wain
To float in a sea of all I truly am
For surely this, this really is me, All I am, All I can
Muster is my fake face, but the monster
Dripping in darkness and blood, he lurks just under that mask
I know him, he is not gone, and he is hungry
Hungry, hungry, hungry, always inside
Hungry, hungry, hungry, left with nowhere to hide
Hungry, hungry, hungry, waiting to devour
This very hour I realize I've always been running
But I get nowhere, because I am already nowhere
And nowhere is certainly no place to hide.

Obama or McCain

Why should I care who is the next U S President Obama or McCain
Since from who wins or loses I won't stand to gain
I do live far distant of the U S of A
Many thousands of miles that does seem far away.

'Tis all about success and ego and about self esteem
And 'tis all about power little else it does seem
But the poor of the U S as poor will remain
And it should not matter to them who wins Obama or McCain.

This is all about money and all about power
Though many never know of a good meal or of a warm shower
So many live rough on the poor side of town
Whilst McCain and Obama compete for renown.

In the refugee camps of the World millions of refugees
Who live hungry where there is squalor and disease
McCain or Obama will not help them in any way
Do you think this is not a fair thing to say?

The rewards of the power and the glory the winners will reap
And to the U S Presidental Election I will not lose any sleep
Whether 'tis Obama or McCain why should I much care
Since they are both power hungry people and their type not
rare.

Dance Naked #3

hold Thor's hammer in your hand,
learn from the annunaki...
sit at the feet of Plato,
wander the worlds with the Hopi...

draw swords with the samurai,
search for the codes of da vinci...
watch the times and the seasons,
and be hungry for change!

hold the beating heart in your hands
till all names are forgotten...
till all colors are one color,
and the language is blood.

sit beneath the tree with Buddha,
and understand time, past and future.
walk the water with Jesus,
do the Ghost Dance again!

take the hand of a hungry child,
take in the unwanted dog.
stand on the shores with the Irish,
and chant the waves in!

feed the hungry, heal the sick,
free the oppressed.
stand in the face of life...
bare your teeth, and howl!
