A 'Papa, please
I couldn’t see in his eyes
When my son hardly could say bye
I felt so betrayed by his gesture
I could sense of guilt but was not sure
He did not utter a word when I used to thrash
He would go away and cry while making wash
I saw sadness in him but he did not tell
I felt nothing was good or going well
I felt from my heart for his dismay show
He had very slow space and unable to grow
All children were shining in their own way
He was proving helpless and sliding away
He came into this world before maturity
We were still joyous by seeing glorious beauty
He was only hope for our well being
We too were ready to do anything and sing
I tried to read child’s mind
As dad he had nothing to find
I sensed trouble for being so unkind
He wanted me to be considerate and kind
“Dad, can I request you for something”?
He gathered courage and unfolded wing
“I get so much pain when you beat”
“I am unable to bear and it is painful to eat ‘
I almost wept for his pain
This was only his concern main
I was committing unpardonable cruelty
I cursed self and even couldn’t feel pity
‘I will study sincerely and give you result”
“I may prove myself and feel you no insult”
I couldn’t believe my eyes as he went on
He had defeated me and almost won
I used to full him up and throw on ground
He used to weep and no friends were found
‘You may kill him one day” wife scolded
I decided to withdraw with hands folded
He did fare in the life and stood firm
He was obedient and used to confirm
He never disrespected and always obliged
I too felt sense of satisfaction and realized
Life would have chance to retaliate
I was unsure of what steps fate might initiate
It was our belief that we got to suffer for bad act
No one could help if one was at any time out of tract
He is now grown up boy but had chance to remind
“Dad, you were un considerate and unkind”
‘Why were you beating me for absolutely no fault”?
This came to me all of sudden as blue from bolt
Whole scene just went off my memory as flash
Mind and heart was at disagreement and always at clash
If we try to be good parent or obedient children
Life garden will become green with happiness and never barren

Little Fatigue
I felt little fatigue and tiredness
It reflected clearly on my face
I searched for tree's shed
The feet were unable to lead
It started with deep breathing
Lungs were in trouble and heart was beating
Faster than the rate permissible
I felt deeply and sensed it as trouble
Sun was at its height
I thought it will be too late
It was certain to be taken over by fate
I decided to rush towards gate
I don't know how far I rested
But my patience was tested
I was approaching some dead end
Now I must think seriously and change the trend
I never saw shade of body this before
I was arrogant in behavior therefore
I never thought that I am growing old
One day I may have to bid bye to the world
First time I witnessed shadow
I had not allowed it to grow
Kept body fit and exercised
But last leg of journey was not revised
The shadow was taking me over
It had grown larger than my full body cover
I realized it was real life with evening
The crisis was not over but deepening
First time I felt like and old man
Far away from the truth as human
Life was never meant to result in such tragedy
I felt over it several times already
I shall not be dejected
As mind had over reacted
It is blessed cycle of eternity
Put into practice by almighty

Pain Within
There is a pain within this heart,
My pain within my sadness through my eyes,
My eyes are like a burden that you can see right through me,
No pain I ever felt was that one single broken heart that had been left behind and never got a chance to be healed,
There is way out of this pain but somehow I can’t see it,
See the light, the hope, the happiness I once wanted to feel,
Now I ever feel is this sadness, this pain, this heartache,
A pain within these wall I can hear it say,
There is no way out,
No way to wash away the pain,
The pain I feel.

Pain Has Never Left
For an Eternity I’ve felt anger
For a lifetime I’ve felt Pain
I feel pain for the little girl in me that had to grow up before her time
I feel pain for the teenager that never got the chance to have friends to lime
I feel pain for the young woman who everyone used trickery and deceit on
I feel pain for the adult who gave her hold life and soul to carry her baby
I feel pain for the adult who had her baby too early and prayed for him to survive
I feel pain for the woman who watched her son fight to stay with her
I feel pain for the woman who never got to hold him and tell him everything was going to be ok
I feel pain for the soul who watched her son died without doing anything to help him
Today I still feel a stifling pain
Towards the people who should have protected me and did not
I feel pain for the lashes life dealt me
I feel pain for the friends that used me, hurt me both body and soul
I feel pain for the child, girl, woman who could not bring herself to hate anyone
I feel pain, and even after every painful event in my life I could still pray and forgive
I feel pain all over, a pain that may never leave my life

I'm Sorry Your So Happy
I'm sorry that I'm so scared
I'm sorry you cried my tears
I'm even sorry that you were
so glad to be with me
I'm sorry to've led you on
I'm sorry that I'm so worn
I'm even sorry for trying to be good to you
I'm sorry you felt so safe
I'm sorry for all your love
I'm even sorry to've been your inspiration
For everything you did for me
My firends and my family
Even strangers who I thought
could use a helping hand
For all the love you gave to me
The dreams that you shared with me
But most of all, I'm sorry that
I couldn't love you
I'm sorry for the good times
And the joy that I made you feel
The satisfaction that you got
From being close to me
I'm sorry for the laughter
For holding your gentle hand
And making you feel
so damned lucky
For every smile that I gave to you
And every kiss that you received.
But most of all, I'm sorry that
I couldn't love you
For every gift you received
Sent, but not with love, rather
The belief that I was doing the
Right thing
I'm sorry to've made you feel
That you were lucky
For having found me
Or comfortable now that you'd
Found love
I'm sorry I couldn't trust you
But wouldn't tell you how I felt
I'm sorry that you believed I
needed you or something
I'm sorry that, I'm sorry, so sorry that
I just couldn't love.

You Dear Father
“Was it you dear father” some one very close uttered
Very deadly in dealing and all my childhood dreams shattered
Were you not so considerate when I needed?
I heard and obeyed you and all advices heeded
I raised eyes painfully and looked at him
He was my dearest son intelligent and very thin
I looked after him well but kept under tight control
He was required to respond at very first call
Why was he bearing all such things and carrying?
Was I so cruel and hard on his behavior?
I raised my eyebrows in unhappiness and despair
But I felt damage was done and beyond repair
I might have beaten him on number of occasions
When he might have failed to respond to number of questions
I was to get infuriated at his inaction
But I still restrained so much for reaction
No parents may want unruly scenes at home
Children are expected to behave well and always welcome
What I couldn’t understand even today about their silence?
I had kept all the options open and restrained hence
I took at least one good care and prevented their defiance
I was considerate and fulfilled all their demand at once
No one had any reason to feel neglected
I had sincerely felt and acted
I look back all those reminisces
There might be omission and many misses
But that does not amount any cruel attitude
I failed to understand his behavior with prelude
The past scenes just hurried before my eyes
He used to remain scared and made no try
To convince me of his intention and feeling
I was eager to hear those words and willing
Now all things have become past
I am approaching end of the life very fast
He may carry same impression forever
I smiled at him and tried to convince him however
He could understand my point of view
It is improbable and may be realized by few
It is difficult to erase bad memory from mind
At a time when it is stored and understood as unkind

Since I Have Felt The Sense Of Death
Since I have felt the sense of death,
Since I have borne its dread, its fear—
Oh, how my life has grown more dear
Since I have felt the sense of death!
Sorrows are good, and cares are small,
Since I have known the loss of all.
Since I have felt the sense of death,
And death forever at my side—
Oh, how the world has opened wide
Since I have felt the sense of death!
My hours are jewels that I spend,
For I have seen the hours end.
Since I have felt the sense of death,
Since I have looked on that black night—
My inmost brain is fierce with light
Since I have felt the sense of death.
O dark, that made my eyes to see!
O death, that gave my life to me!

At the door
I was stunned at the development
I couldn’t take my eyes off for the moment
I starred at the vast and open sky
Thoughts just emerged in mind to fly
It was not all of sudden but just coincided
She was away but I was still undecided
How deep impact she had left on my mind
Where from else I was to have her find
Each and every moment I died for her presence
She was just before me even in her absence
I couldn’t blink or close the eyes
I couldn’t understand why eyes chose to defy?
I had come across hr by the grace of God
I am unable to say whether it was blessings or not
I still feel it was divine call to have come through
I had not tried at all or made the attempts to woo
She was away to respond social call
Little absence was tearing me apart to cause a fall
Her beautiful face all of sudden surfaced as wall
I was really astonished for her status as very tall
She might have not entered my life as yet
I had made desperate move to end the wait
It was about to be over but could not take off
Some more wait was needed to soften it off
Night was proving very dark and frightening
There was complete silence without any lighting
Only active mind could think of entering into fight
There was constant clash in mind to prove it right
I had developed inner strength of dependence
It was proving very difficult to remain alone hence
This is how I looked so perturbed at her being away
I felt it needless to go in for her search and find the way
I wanted some gentle steps at the door
I don’t know what I was searching for
It was definitely a search for mild knock
I had all the pure love for her in store
It clicked for a while and I heard some talk
It was coming gently as if like cat walk
She was heard saying some one to keep quiet
She was all for surprise and not allowing me to let
I could think of gravitational pull
There prevailed definitely some lull
It was giving indication of powerful drive
Love is such force for us to survive
You can find it in abundance
If you carefully observe and glance
It is in all the form and in every object
Only we term it in a particular subject

Hold On
Today you came by to tell me you are leaving me
And to say that the love
And all that we knew had just drifted away
And i look in your eyes
And i couldn't bear the pain i felt inside of my heart
To think that i'm gonna be lonely again
And if ever you go then i know at a glance
I don't stand a chance
Hold on to my love i'm nothing
And i can't get along without you
You're the light of my life
And no living without your love
It's so hard to believe that you're going away
Couldn't make me feel so down
'cause i know that from this moment on i won't have you around
And if ever you go then i know at a glance
That won't stand a chance
Hold on to my love i'm nothing
And i can't get along without you
You're the light of my life
And no living without your love
Oh oh baby
Nobody's taking your place
But for you , but for me
Our love would live on for the whole world to see
So hold on to my love , i'm nothing
And i can't get along without you
You're the light of my life
And no living without your love
(repeat last verse 2 times and fade out )

On Her Face
I could see some anxieties on her face
They were clearly visible with wrinkles
She tried not to hide but definitely revealed
Those days were painful for her and in fact real
I am from the third generation
Very strong relation indeed with solid foundation
She was happy to see all members including grand children
Nice stage to feel but worries were apparently seen
I visited her whenever came on short vacation
She expressed her attachment with kind relation
She will probe in to my eyes with satisfaction
As her life was full of struggle and indignation
She had some kind of reservation and resentment
The behavior of family members was an embarrassment
She was sore at the treatment meted out
After all she had done enough and was not to be talked about
Somehow was drawn towards her and liked
In little of idle time her memory may invade and strike
She was full of love and evenly gave it to all
But I was favorite and responded to all her calls
Other family members too were obedient and courteous
But she was feeling irritation and became often outrageous
She wanted often full attention and enough of care
They were ready in fact but scared of her temperament and did not dare
I am of the opinion that all grandmas are attached more
Children also love and show courtesy therefore
She might be getting full joy when find among children
In a stage where such period is called sultry and barren
Even thought I too have attained full parenthood
Her feelings and resentment is clearly understood
I will sit by her bed side and comfort with sentiments
She too may respond with grateful eyes and comment
I know how difficult it is to observe and feel loneliness
When you are passing secluded life with troubled phase
I felt warmth of her gesture and deeply breathed
She was everything to me as from the beginning I had watched
Not all people may be lucky enough to have grandma at home
She is always there for us to console and welcome
How greatly children feel when chased hotly by parents?
Take refuge behind her back and silently wait

Dead And Gone
In years from now when I am dead and gone
Will people read the words that I had wrote
If they do will they agree with what they read
And if so truly, understand the feelings I had spoke.
Will they feel the pain and suffering that I felt
In the many days of my own life
Maybe they will etch my feelings inside their soul
And If so, I wonder for me if they will cry.
I wonder if anyone will go into a deep thought
After reading the words that I had spoke
And then will they think and understand that feeling too
While inside their soul or heart a memory I will had awoke.
Maybe they will be with me in those lonesome nights
When my soul and I felt so very alone
When I couldn't sleep so I had to write
While my soul stayed stationary, but my mind it did roam.
And will they feel the pain that I did feel
With every line that I suffered as I did write
Will they shed a tear that my lover never shed for me
While she was always in my heart and in my sight.
And when they finish my book and close it shut
Will they reflect my feelings as they walk away
Will they say they know the pain that I have felt
As they too had felt it in their very own days.
Will they cry the tears that was never cried for me
As they go searching for my last resting place
To give the sympathy they might say I deserve
While trying to visualize my soul through my face.
If they look and find and then walk unto my grave
I wander for me if i will receive long forgotten grieving
Telling me how sad and the pity they hold for me
After reading my words, maybe they will start believing.
And maybe they will walk to the graves of the others
The ones who did me wrong and who sealed my fate
Who made me the poet whom I had to become
Will they tell them their souls, and living they do hate.
So as I finish writing with these last few thoughts
I hope forever my words and feelings will continue on
As I know I am not alone and my pain is not fastened to me
But really who will know, until I am dead and gone.

A rare gesture
She stood there at the gate
She wanted not to be late
I had every reason to hate
I did not take it as my fate
You had come all along to express
Your inner feeling with distress
I could read on her face clear anxiety
I sensed trouble and felt pity
I couldn’t make why she had to rush
What had compelled her to push?
Did she realize the importance of being in love?
What did she think of all and above?
Well, my anger petered out in a second
Why was she here without her husband?
Did he depart early leaving her behind?
I could not only understand but failed to find
Many questions emerged and immediately faded
She was very far from me and staying away as being wedded
I could only wish her a happy and long journey
She stood there as helpless and without money
Whatever may be the reason, I had no way to be angry
She was in shabby dress and also feeling hungry
I emotionally caught her hand to welcome as guest
I wanted to know her final destiny and quest
She sobbed for awhile and regretted disassociation
She was all for patch and reconciliation
The fate had played cruel killer’s role
She had nothing to remember except to recall
I still remained unmoved with remark
She had voluntarily go ahead and embarked
Luck would have its own role to play
I still felt sorry and was carried away
I extended sympathy for her being alone
Her life was devastated by cruel cyclone
I could merely extend her the lip service
I expressed sorrow for her husband demise
She confided in me that she was here for her silly act
She wanted to apprise me of her angle in fact
It was not she who played the negative part
It was painful for her to leave me alone and depart
I stood speechless and heard her version
I was getting to know her better with conversation
She was going all along with natural expression
It was not poetic but real heart burnt confession
I couldn’t cry with her for very simple reason
She was nice and had come as honest person
She was not here for any help but to tender an apology
I felt shame and couldn’t understand her psychology
We all err in normal dealing
We never go for any special healing
If we can do it earnestly and in nicety
It may add to color with natural beauty

When You Want Something You Can't Have
I can still remember all the pain that I felt, I can't believe that back then the thought of you, or sound of your voice could make me melt
I can still remember all the pain that you caused and how in the end my heart was the one shattered in pieces on the floor, but what I can't believe is that after all that I just wanted you more
It was like I was the stupid moth to your flame, and in the end I got burned and have only myself to blame, I knew I couldn't have you but that didn't stop me from wanting you, I guess I hoped maybe deep down inside you wanted me too
I knew from the start liking you was pointless, but that didn't stop me and in the end I was the one cleaning up my big mess
To make matters worse you knew how I felt all along, I pegged you for a kind, sweet guy but in the end I guess I was wrong
Back then it felt like the worse kind of pain and it felt like i couldn't go on, but looking back on it now, I realized it made me smarter and it made me strong
So in the end even though I was the that was one hurting oh so bad, I must admit as I look back on it I'm kind of glad, because you taught me a valuable lesson in what happens when you want something you can't have

May bleed with pain
My heart may bleed with pain
To find out the worth of being human with gain
It’s utility on earth and leading of as an entity
To be remembered or hated as personal quality
The ensuing festival has touched heart with grief
Millions of people are attached with strong belief
Has that really brought the kindness with brotherhood?
Do we ever wipe out the tears from the people of neighborhood?
If answer is yes, then we have achieved what father really wanted
His sacrifice is not in vain as the so many years were spent on being haunted
What did they get in turn for perpetuating inhuman treatment?
Did our father O, Lord utter a word or preferred to lament?
I weep when see the tearful eyes with a message
You waged a relentless love war throughout the age
You suffered so much for us to be called a non believer
You only wanted to be sufferer and our pain reliever
“They will what they are doing and for whom”?
“What do they know and what ideas they groom?
This was your message even when descended with gloom
Today even we do not know exactly by sitting in the room
How could you bear such cruelty on your body?
Was there no pity in their heart or thought by anybody?
Did they know what they were doing and for what cause?
Could they not stop it for while or observe a pause?
There was no one to take you to safety
You were subjected to torture and cruelty
Oh, how long you endured pain and lay flat
Still you loved till last and did not spate
All those events make me very sad
I still see those watery eyes and feel what you had
It might have been very crucial days
When you were forbidden preaching ways
I feel hurt when sharp thorn strikes
I look helplessly with pain at skies
I plead for help with anguish
How could you bear all poking till they finished?
You stood for universal brotherhood and mankind
I feel very much hurt when some one is very unkind
I remember each word vividly and memorize
Each soul on earth is committed to oblige
We could never have been one as we are today
We may be celebrating it with fun fare on auspicious day
If single word I could adopt and prove
It will be worth to be called a good move

A look at children
I missed or enjoyed no parenthood
I used to look at children in the neighborhood
Complete innocence reflecting on face
Ready to catch hand and willing to embrace
No one has dared to displease the children
They are made angry and upset very often
They will start crying all of sudden
The house with children is considered as heaven
Days tiredness go off when you see them playing
What type of joy and happiness it is relaying?
Children are symbol of frankness and innocence
Pain and worries go off in their presence
I wanted to remain childless
I was obsessed with this idea more or less
I couldn’t figure it out or trace
This must be considered as an isolated case
How garden may look without flowers and honey bees?
What image he desert may create when grown with trees?
There may prevail calm and enough joy
Life is to be lived with care and enjoy
Wherever there is poverty there is no child issue
Children are flooded their without any due
Where there is enough wealth and position
Children are not gifted and faced with lot many problems
Mother’s womb is rented child
They miss something in life and go wild
Their main concern is only to have new born
They are ready to do to address the concern
When we are helpless we may claim it as choice?
We may openly advocate and make more noise
Who will decide how many flowers garden should have?
We are assuming the role creators and brave

Sad Memory
Even though a sad memory
I feel no regret or sorry
He is no more among
Yet proving us very much wrong
He is with me for all the time
Before eyes and smiling sometimes
Guiding me whenever I am in distress
With nice words to keep me out of stress
I have spent many decades
Even though he was busy in his trade
He left us all of sudden and bade
Even though his memory is with us and does not fade
What were our earlier days?
Full of joy and no parting ways
We remained together for many years
Heard all gossips of happiness and sadness in ears
Neither will he loose patience
Nor give us any kind of chance
He will take care of everything
Even though we may disregard or forget something
The sky was only our refuge
He will hold my hand and never refuse
Promise me with new word to carry on
Until all doubts were cleared or flown
Such was his nature like sky's vastness
His beautiful smile will always be reflected on face
We may chase him and make to race toward
Yet he won't mind for our silly words
Some tears rush to my ears
As he is gone by years now
Every year we celebrate his absence
Remember his deeds and very true essence
He is there looking at us from the sky
I look with appeal and feel shy
He is there still to look me with his beautiful eyes
My fancy crosses all the boundaries and flies
I want him near by but it is not possible
The death cycle can never be reversible
I see his reflection children's eyes
They helplessly side with me and persuade not to cry
'Mom, please don't cry 'my daughter will remind
If you do this, he will find it bad gesture and unkind
You have promised him to take us to safety
So he is not with us as per the wishes of almighty

My Love
When I first saw your face my heart skipped a beat,
and when you turned and smiled, I just couldn’t speak.
You did something to me that I still cannot explain
you were trapped in my mind and locked in my brain.
Whenever you came near me I trembled inside,
I felt so awkward, but my love couldn’t be denied.
You caused me to float on air and I just hovered along,
you made birds sing in my head, oh what sweet song.
I couldn’t believe it when you first spoke to me
you seemed to set all my inhibitions free.
I chatted away merrily making no sense at all
I think you even blushed, if I rightly recall.
And when I managed to ask you for a date that night
it still makes me cringe because I didn’t ask you right.
And when you said, “Yes”, but I still asked you again
because I couldn’t believe it, you must’ve thought me insane.
But now after four years I adore you even more,
you are the key that opens my life’s door.
Our baby is the flower that we gave to each other
and she reminds me so much of her loving mother.

Green Eyes
Those gorgoues green eyes of yours how could I forget? I'm afraid in my memory they will always live
The memory of those eyes I'm afraid will be with me forever, yes the memory of them I'll never be able to sever
I use to see those green eyes everyday, all I hope now is that over the years they haven't changed
In those green eyes I use to get lost, never once thinking about if I were to make them mine, what me it would cost
I use to count the hours, the minutes, the seconds til you I would see again, even though I told everyone otherwise, I wanted you desperatly to be so much more than a friend
Even though I knew you felt the same way about me, in the back of my mind was a constant reminder of how we couldn't be
That very thought use to cause me so much pain, but I forced myself to move on, and even though it's hard to think about I know you've probably done the same
There are days when I think about you and I hope you're doing fine, but I hope I never see you or those green eyes again not for your sake but for mine
Because I know that if I ever come face to face with those gorgoues green eyes of yours again, that resistance will be futile, and this time around we'll definatly end up being more that friends

Ruiner
My heart is full of anger
although in Malawi there is no hunger
but i seek revenge in my heart
wherever, whenever i sat
She ruined my best day
while it was my girlfriend birthday
i sit making a promise to myself
i will never care for her like keeping books on shelves
Some of my good friends laugh at me
But my girlfriend still loved me
i call the girl who messed our nice day
the 'ruiner' as she made it a bad day
i felt being betrayed
as fewer friends cared
i got hope and courage from them
as i felt like i lived inside my heart with them
the ruiner made it a bad day of my life
as my mother was sick and i felt like swapping life
this was the day for me to suffer
as my anger in my heart was buffer
i promised my heart not ever talk to her again
since she though i was a bargain
now i had build hatred
i guess now red was friend
now she thought i was scullery
but to the ruiner i became smarmy
as she became crumy
since she doesnt know that life there is a fulcrum
my girlfriend cuddled like a pet
as we were together in a net
all i do is nat protaste
since i live in a peaceful state

The First And Last Time
Since we first met, I can’t seem to forget you
You mesmerize me with your beautiful face
There are not enough words to describe
How perfect you are
It’s like you’re my guardian angel
I felt your presence when I needed someone to comfort me
I felt your existence in the weakest moments of my life
I felt your support in every little things I’ve done
And every time you look at me
I’ve felt that you could see right through me
I’ve feel that you could see all that I have been through
All the happiness, sadness, misery, and accomplishment in my life
And I’m glad that I have a chance to know you
Even in just a short time
So now I must wake up in this beautiful dream
But still my heart refuses to let go
And now I must face the facts that we cannot be together
But still my heart refuses to give up
And I just want you to know what I feel for you
Even though you just see me as a friend
Don’t worry about me, I will not be sad
Instead I will cherish the moments were together
I just want you to be happy even if it means giving up my love for you
And I want you to know that I am always her for you as your friend.

Back In Time
Last night; I went back in time
To see my wife if we never had met
I saw my ways, and my upcoming days
And my soul, was full of regret.
She wasn't there, but was in my prayer
As I surveyed the new life that I lived
And I walked alone, in my empty home
As my love for her I couldn't give.
I looked for her, and she couldn't be found
Last night when I went back in time,
So I searched her world, left nothing unfurled
But for her, nothing about her could I find.
So without me she took another path
Because then we had never met
But I stayed on that road, until I died old
Because no other woman in my heart would I let.
Then I had my thought when I awoke from my dream
And my woman she couldn't be found
So I closed my eyes and I sat down to cry
As my world was flipped upside down.
I remember now that she had left me
To be in the arms of another man
She was my love my life, my woman my wife
Now she's holding another mans heart and hand.
Why she left me; GOD will only know
But the love I felt once will never be mine,
I did nothing wrong, just loved her to strong,
Now again I wish, to go back in time.
