A Hunger

Hunger has no substitute and called as hunger
It is observed and felt even in anger
You need only two meals a day
But can't find a honorable way

It is narrated so nicely and gone
All good words said and not done
It is really curse and pathetic condition
It burns from inside and fuels the ignition

Nothing is seen or objected
All pleas for help is rejected
How can there be new ideas to be injected?
When person is hungry and angrily acted?

It is felt by poor and rich
It beyond everybody’s reaches
You won’t like idea if someone tries to preach
It is felt differently by each

Not Known Outside

Not known to outside what is called hunger
It is not natural phenomena or coming out of anger
It is felt when fire is inflaming inside
When frustration is growing wide

You get no sleep when hungry
You look towards sky and feel sorry
Your hands are empty to feed
You are unable to meet the need

Hunger can burn whole of empire
They have only outrage and burning fire
No one can kill their spirit
As no hope is seen or lit

Many may be starving to death
So many may be enjoying with wealth
They need only two pieces of meals
We can’t have for them a nice deal

Let there be no hunger as proclaimed
No nature alone to be blamed
We have done injustice to nature
We have blackened our future

There is no answer to humanity
But yes it is poor thinking and bad quality
We can feed their mouth and see smile
That is what we can do for a while

We can for a while alienate
But we can’t afford to eliminate
Humanity as such can’t relate such things
It needs great care and more of something

Mere food grains may do little
They need to think positive and settle
How nature and forests are basic features!
This may become permanent and we may not have any cure

Sun may be blazing in noon
You may realize the devastation very soon
Nothing can shelter us from future gloom
No temporary steps can be considered in room

Soon it may turn into reality
We may loose out control and ability
Many more starvation deaths and deforestation
Not good place to live in then without sanitation

Let us groom with whole world
People are sympathetic and not turning cold
They want every human soul to live with peace
At least two time meals at ease

Eternity

i felt eternity for one moment
and it was like...
the first night we made love all night,
watching our children being born...
standing naked in the yard
during a thunderstorm at night...
a new set of strings on a Martin guitar.

as if God had escaped from the great churches
built & watched over by self-righteous men;
and blew like the wind across the fields
of time & space & understanding.

as if the Great Mother held me to her breast
while the waves lapped at my feet...
and i felt the rhythm of silence
in a single beat of my heart.

i felt eternity for one moment,
and there was no difference between
you & i & anyone else...
there was no anger, only hunger...
hunger for the truth,
hunger for the moment!

Out Of Cage

All these years I ran after
Wealth, assets, amusement and laughter
I got no joy with any of them either
It was driving me with fear

I was lonely soul
Caged but looked beautiful
Everyone praised my fame
But I felt in heart a real shame

'Was it not a trap' I felt
Something bad at heart was smelt
I, for a moment, decided to come out
I had lot more in mind to talk about

Yes it was golden cage
To be kept in for all the ages
Surrounded by illusory magic
I now realized its hollowness with basic

Father, mother sister and wife too
Felt real joy and happiness through
I saw it on their faces with shine
I too at once felt very fine

No, this is not my goal
I felt it a real foul
Not suiting to my real soul
I decided to make it final call

One more strong resolve
And all problems may be solved
No anger, hunger or any other wish
Life must end with fine finish

I wished to open the door
Now I was real rich and not poor
I saw the closeness with divine land
Everything seemed to be beautiful and not dead end

I am finally out of cage
Walking away with prints behind on page
I may be cursed, laughed and called coward
I shall have more in store to look forward

Within Easy Reach

'You have brain tumor and few days to live'
My eyes remained wide and hardly could believe
I had few problems with my headache and food appetite
No hunger, anger in no time and less sleep in nights

I had observed this change since many days
I was well off and had enough of means to find the ways
The medical cure was distinct possibility
I lost no hope for future and trusted the final destiny

I had been different for all these years
Life had posed so many difficulties with fears
I only know how could I come out of such stage?
The hunger felt for many days could not have been written on page?

I had taken vow not to suffer any more poverty
It was certainly curse on the person and humanity
How can any single soul sleep without meal?
It was felt badly by me as an unequal deal

I thought for a while an worked day and time
I forgot to take regular meal even sometimes
I cared for no day and night and thrived to collect money
I thought this was the only means and successful key

Not to mention means or make note of my journey
I had taken it as challenge and demand of the destiny
For me means was no end but a start of first step
The water was to flow smoothly from the water tap

The wealth flowed in enormous quantity
It was purely credited to my personal capability
I had worked day and night to come up to that level
Rest everything spoke of my success and story to tell

In doing so I deteriorated my health
Nothing could come to my rescue including wealth
For the first time my spine shivered
Death was smile from distance and murmured

My story may not be different from others
So many die in streets and so many die in field like soldiers
Yet death takes them over even if they are poor or rich
Life can be made beautiful and within easy reach

Other

I do not have to be mad
For the anger to build up within me
I am a human being
Money and fame come and go
But we long for few things
I being a father of children
Become a child
I have a mother
But find a mother in other
When other does bother
I am the happiest

But when the other ignores
I go wild
Use words
Which are called obscene
Where's obscenity when
Everything is open
Give me a better word angel
I will change my language

Anger builds up from within
I am called mad
But a mad person rushes
For anything and everything
Sane seldom care
May be mad are better
In understanding the needs

Anger builds up from within
But anger is not anger
We are lost as ever for words
Give me a better word angel
I will change my language

Anger here is a hunger
I remain hungry for words
And for affection
Which I shower on the other all the time
Words never come
I see the tears
I cannot wipe
Who am I?
I can only cry

Anger will remain
I express
I am a child
Cannot hide my feelings
Please be my mother
You the other
You are distant
But other part of me

An Idea

An Idea can change the world, how many
things can be done from an idea, every piece
of object was an idea, sense the beginning of
time idea was the first thought created in the
mind, an idea is what surround’s every being.
But an idea is still only an idea and it can't be
felt, you cannot touch an idea or kiss it, or hold it,
ideas do not bleed or feel pain or love, an idea
cannot be seen or heard, its created in our thoughts,
but then again an idea can become real. An idea
can be what ever you which it to be, an idea can
be destructive, an idea can be brilliant, I've seen
people get killed in the name of ideas, ideas,
we walk around with a little
light bulb blinking in our thoughts, ideas.

Escaping Anger

hello anger, where have you been?
don't you like my kitten? It is missing you.
Don't you feel its hunger? It's thirst for you.

IT is its thirst that thirsts you. Don't you fret.
There is more to be done in this imperfection
Of what is felt and what cannot be touched
By our fingers.

hello anger, don't you have a comma for me?
Don't you stop for a while and see a new landscape of
Ourselves?

I am inside myself. A rock. A river sometimes.
You too. A rock. A river sometimes.

There is this lively brook inside a book.
And I am trying to figure out some
Happy characters for you.

Hello anger. You smirk. Thank you anger. Goodbye.

Ruiner

My heart is full of anger
although in Malawi there is no hunger
but i seek revenge in my heart
wherever, whenever i sat

She ruined my best day
while it was my girlfriend birthday
i sit making a promise to myself
i will never care for her like keeping books on shelves

Some of my good friends laugh at me
But my girlfriend still loved me
i call the girl who messed our nice day
the 'ruiner' as she made it a bad day

i felt being betrayed
as fewer friends cared
i got hope and courage from them
as i felt like i lived inside my heart with them

the ruiner made it a bad day of my life
as my mother was sick and i felt like swapping life
this was the day for me to suffer
as my anger in my heart was buffer

i promised my heart not ever talk to her again
since she though i was a bargain
now i had build hatred
i guess now red was friend

now she thought i was scullery
but to the ruiner i became smarmy
as she became crumy
since she doesnt know that life there is a fulcrum

my girlfriend cuddled like a pet
as we were together in a net
all i do is nat protaste
since i live in a peaceful state

I am not hungry
Hunger is not mine
I am free from hunger.
Hunger is a butterfly
Come to it and welcome it
Wonderland you reach
Without hunger
You could not move an inch
And how you changed yourself
Hunger will tell
Wait a minute.

Guided By Inner Call

Human being always guided by inner call
Whether it invites success or fall
But it is pursued relentlessly
As it is felt obsessively

What even if you miss person all the times!
What difference it makes if it is missed sometimes?
Yes it makes if you catch the real sense
Any one may be dearly loved in his presence

Once person is away
You miss him all the way’
It is human psychology
The sequence is never observed in chronology

You may try o remember and loose his image
You may try to hold more time and put in cage
But it will slip away and never be caught
Unless something unique is felt and brought

The most part of its remembrance is good smile
That has been kept in mind for a while
Some images build up in mind and disappear
You suffer from pain and anguish bear

Moments after you enter self conversation
Make convenient answers out of difficult questions
That keeps you busy for whole of the day
Gives some possible clue on the way

It is here too as first concern
I too suffer as next turn
Something must be done to overcome
Walk hand in hand and welcome

The long wait may be over
We shall have fine refuge and cover
Under one roof we can stay and linger
Your hands to move with beautiful fingers

Love voice to air in my waiting ears
It had been barren for number of years
You have nothing to worry with concern and fear
I have come to stay permanently as dear

Not all may be blessed in such disguised condition
They need good start with ignition’
Love may carry forward and bring about result
There is no scope for curse and insult

The hunger without a name

The hunger, even felt
by the adequately clothed,
the adequately fed, the
adequately housed..

the hunger without a name,
a smell, a taste,
without an image, without
an advertising agency
to shape it for us; quietly
whimpering, whining at the door
to be let in and fed;

is it something we’ve never had?
distantly remember
like a childhood happiness?
or have, but want much more of?

and if a good fairy passed
and said, I can offer you only
one of these three things:

to be almost always happy;
to understand almost everything;
or to live almost forever…

which one would we choose? and
would the hunger be assuaged?

Condone my stupidity

Adjusting myself to suit your needs
reaping the wrong of your deeds
not saying out loud what i felt
not so sure if i could've dealt
with all the hate i had inside
for you, your body and your pride

Without you i felt bent, torn apart
knowing it was wrong from the start
staring at you i knew too well
that you were hurting me but refused to tell
anyone who asked why
i chased away and silently cried

Alone i sat in my room
with all those feelings of gloom
wishing that i could through them aside
i angrily felt that i had lost my pride
forgiving you, i never can
forgetting you, i am!

One Day In June

One day in June
I slipped away
Caught by desire
Drawn to the flame
My virtues disappeared
Light on my feet
Whispers as sweet as honey
Callin' to me
One day in June
One day in June
I felt the hunger
I ate the fruit
One day in June
So don't cry for me
I had my chance
I took a risk
I asked the wind to dance
Don't try to save me
I'm already gone
Everything's over
But I'm burning on
One day in June
One day in June
I felt the hunger
I ate the fruit
One day in June
And I don't like how it feels
To tell all these little lies
Tryin' to be the one you can count on
But all it's a thin disguise
I kissed it all goodbye
One day in June

Honorable inclusion

Until you are cemented with bond
You will have no thought as first or second
You won’t know what is called separation
It has no special lamp for indication

Some of the separations are observed by all
Since it is established fact and permanent call
Life and death can’t be separated
One is linked to other and nicely corroborated

No one can separate the soul from body
This can’t be done by anybody
It is divine need and felt necessarily
When that takes place it is accepted happily

Some of the separations are body concerns
It gets sour when spoiled in turn
Where you can’t pull on any more
The separation is wanted therefore

It can be self inflicted or imposed
In both the cases trust is never reposed
The urgency of separations is felt
It is severing of relation and hitting below belt

Sometimes you need isolation from growing discontentment
You need peace and live in secluded place devoid of any comments
It can be detachment or separation from existing world
Where you develop tendency to remain in control and look very cold

If you are inclined to positive thinking
None of the concern may lead to any type of sinking
You may take it as part of life and reach to conclusion
That this is your fate and must find honorable inclusion

Collide

I felt my heart collapse
On the day that I met him
I felt my heart collapse
It filled up to the rim
I felt my heart collapse
When my eyes traveled 'round
I felt my heart collapse
The one I had found

I felt my heart collapse
When he first touched my skin
I felt my heart collapse
Oh it seemed a lovely sin
I felt my heart collapse
It fell without a sound
I felt my heart collapse
Oh I knew I had found

I felt my heart collapse
When we shared that first kiss
I felt my heart collapse
I thought that I would almost miss
I felt my heart collapse
I was lost in his embrace
I felt my heart collapse
I kept staring at his face

Oh my heart collapsed on that day
Ever since it's been that same way
My love for you has not faded
Ever since the day it escaped

Children Of The Poor

Children of the poor
ever since your birth
what is it you have known?
What is it you are worth?

You have felt hunger.
You have felt pain.
You are undernourished.
You've become the bane
of societal indifference
that's become the norm.
The wealthy shut their eyes, not seeing
the approaching storm,

The storm that's been brewing
like Katrina lashing out,
consuming all the misery
it has brought about.

Children of the poor
what difference does it make
that the children of the rich,
eating steak and cake
give no thought to all of you?
Their life is bountiful.
They take a sideward glance
and step back on their hill.

But hills can come a-crumbling
on this big old earth,
leveling out the playing field,
leveling out the worth

Children of the wealthy,
it is time you think
that the times that are coming
can change in a blink,
when all will be equal
as they look around.
The poor will inherit
and their worth will be found.

The Triumphent Anger

The anger I have felt
Is the most destructive
And painful thing
I have ever felt.

I have tried
Over and over again
To fight off the terrible feeling
And everytime I've failed.

Because of this anger
I have lost many friends
And almost all of my family's
And friends trust.

This anger that I fight
Each and everyday
Has cost me so much
That it has become almost unbearable.

So in the end
My anger inside
Has become the most
Painfully triumphent thing
In my life.

Evening Hunger

When hunger came
I went to kitchen
Cooked rice
Made a soup of chicken

Hunger lessened
Had a glass of wine
Felt not comfortable
To have the food alone

Took the mobile phone
Called to him
Who lives same as I

Welcoming sudden invitation
He is to come
Prepared the table for two

Second glass of wine
Toasted with the friend
We had a happy time
Talking about problems

Transcendent solution
To the boarding evening

Tomorrow
How it will be

Hunger is not the curry for meal all the time
Wine is not the friend for loneliness all the time
