A book as medium

A book is called book if reveals human misery
Contains past glorious events of the history
Speak nothing about treason and mystery
All relevant truth essential to be made known to country

We have long and cherish memory of past
Brave people and heroic struggle put up to last
Upholding the traditional values and customs
Benefiting millions of countrymen to know abut freedom

It can be anything from religion to struggle
Coming out successfully from known troubles
Improving and maintaining cordial relation
Having peace at all the times and no more questions

It can be about recreating hymns and prayers
Lost in the past waves yet alive in inner layers
Recalling how ancestors in the past were prosperous
Leading happy and ordinary life sans contentious

It may be unfortunate if we don’t cover the expeditions
Scaling of high peak mountains under adverse conditions
Rich heritage from cultural revolutions up to current stage
To be remembered by all right from the stalwarts to the teenage

Even though books are rich so far literature is concerned
Some of the topics are to be avoided and discerned
It may give temporary pleasure but leave behind deep scar
The bitterness to be remo0ved and pushed very far

The book represents marble statue carved out from simple stones
It may speak live the history and impressions already gone
The credit goes to the originator who did so much pain in writing
It must create congenial atmosphere and lead to no more fighting

It must also lead to preservation of the nation as single entity
No contents must speak disheartening facts leading to disunity
This is dangerous trend now days seen in recent revelations
It solves less but creates controversies and lots of questions

Library

That is why it is called library
Where stand all books buried
Built with huge grant amount to carry
Impressions of dead poets for all that past sorry

New generation wants fast result
Press the Google button and everything is built
Right from old warriors to new breed if politicians
History is on hand and can be seen as produced by the magician

Time is not far off when "library" word may become extinct
Boards may remain with sign but not more called distinct
All work and manuscripts may be stand converted
Into "e" governance and whole of the past may be subverted

It is our glorious past and heritage
We have maintained it as history on page
Many old scripture still find their place
They are the sacred heritage and must be preserved in any case

"Go and have reference from library" may become thing of past
The past may not only remain as past but soon deteriorate last
Few of the pages may speak about glorious death of civilization
Where as we need them as our only witness for old link and new relation

History may be past

History may be past
Embedded in memory and may not last
It is glorious past with memorable events
Preserved with honor as unforgettable counts

As the things can be clearly seen in mirror
History will site you mistakes and errors
It may not repeat in near future or for times to come
We take pride for being a part and welcome

How many bloody wars have been fought?
Was peace not explored or sought?
Why so much bitterness about past?
Why still not coming to terms very fast?

How can I forget that number of times country was invaded?
How can that easily it be wiped out that in problem we were landed?
The poverty, helplessness and backwardness come before like picture?
Making me restless with burning rage at heart for future

I am for sure and everybody will share
You can not equate past with future
The present is in between to balance
It must be thought over and given chance

We can’t carry bitterness all along
History may not pardon us for pursuing wrong
If we had rich tradition in forgiving the evil and past
We must surely feel elated with very good start

We have witnessed hostility running in for decades
It has no reasons to be continued for indefinite days
Each passing day is proving costly and very deadly
We must learn lesson from it and end it immediately

It is invaluable treasure to have it as glorious history
New generation can take pride in not feel sorry
It is freedom and free environment that we intended to give
For our lapses they may surely understand forgive

History can be considered as past milestones
The present can not ignore it and consider as bye gone
We have come to stay here as inseparable part
Even thought it may be unworthy or glorious past

What does this indicate in particular?
Do we want to create the situation like similar?
It is thing of past and must be buried sincerely
We have to pick positive threads and weave it neatly

It will be great tribute to our elderly statesman
They left behind for us a rich and healthy tradition
It is for us to judge the past and shape the destiny
Time may force us to explain our conduct to many

It is our duty to preserve
Assess the situation and observe
Freedom and past must be close to our mind
Yet another similar situation always too find

A primary knowledge

The knowledge of past history would have remained just an illusion
Had that not been taken over by saints and philosophers without any questions?
Where was it to be stored in the absence of required material and facility?
Still it was there foresight and future vision that it remained a subject of nobility

Why was it needed at all when human was capable of thinking it alone?
If the ability and knowledge was the only answer then it would have not been done
It was felt necessary to keep it retained with saints who kept them alive
In spirit and in its essence to make the life worth and to live

I am of the opinion that vastness of size does not matter
The sea has enough of treasure which has remained unutilized for ever
So if knowledge is to remain untapped then it will be unfortunate for mankind
It is simply nutrition which is essentially required for the growth of human mind

We are provided with an extra sense of observing the minute change
Only book knowledge may not help to understand it better or manage
It has remained our previlage to know it from renowned or knowledgeable persons
As knowledge has not been confined to books and advanced to us with reasons

It is advocated often and again that life is full of mystery
No one can draw or define it with short summary
All the more it has become important and necessary
Everything has been inscribed now clearly and not remained as history

The knowledge has remained consistently as source of inspiration
It has provided ladder to scale life steps with joy and elation
At no stage it has deserted or deceived and proved us very wrong
It has built belief, provided relief and helped to come out very strong

It has never been confined to religion base alone but to scientific field too
It has witnessed tremendous change and decisively gone through
It was not source of discontentment but inspiration and rejuvenation
It has crossed all the boundaries and now become important for inter nations

It is sheer luck that we are gifted with all documental evidences
Many glorious events of past are quoted as an examples or instances
It is nice to feel pulse of past and feel very proud
It speaks of rich heritage and also of strong ground

The past knowledge has survived
The old link is maintained and revived
We can stand erect and claim rich
The same can be passed on or reached

A kind blessings

Life was smiling all the time with kind blessings
Nothing is left behind to be remembered as missing
Life seems totally fulfilled with no memory to lapse
What can be dreamed of other than this or anything else?

It is not that I have not come across failures
Lady luck was always smiling and everything was for sure
I had to struggle very hard to live with changing world
I continue to remain within sphere and in fold

So much to remember and nothing to forget
Nothing to leave to uncertainty and goal to set
That is how life had rewarded for days to come
I miss all past days and wish them to come back for welcome

I fear those sweet memory may deceive me again
That was hunting me and remained concern main
I must do something before they are erased
I must synchronize the events before being chased

I have missed so much and that has to remembered now
I do not know when that can be done and how
The best way is to write them down on plane paper and compile
That may last long and purpose can be served for a while

I am in doubt whether I will be able to give justice
How such things can be put in words to look nice?
Each feeling has got different lines to be shown
They should not be misrepresented and disproportionately blown

The rainbow represents all colors to speak about nature
All deep and light colors highlight ups and down of future
Sometimes blessed with happiness and sometimes sadness
Yet as symbolic way of putting facts they speak of oneness

How many might have perished under loads of heavy odd
They might have just tolerated it without much to add
They may be less fortunate enough to have different tale
They might have be consummated by timely cycle of whale

I do feel about the real tragedy and its consequences
I might have come across many of such instances
Some may find hardly any mention with lots of fear
Lot many deaths might have gripped us to be lost as dear and near

I may still try to memorize and give the justice
I must live to expectations and to the promises
I know by gone will never be remembered
I am now on work for those ideas to be centered

I will offer peace with white color
Sadness and pain can go little darker
Happiness and joy can be with olive green
All my past life than can be seen as evergreen

War Is Our Worlds History

I Look into a history book.
And what do I see?
Pain and agony, death and suffering,
I see history that tells a lot about our world.
War!
Our world's history is war.
It is the pain and agony, the death and the suffering,
I see large fields of dead bodies,
I see our heritage being destroyed by other people
because it is not what they believe in,
I see people begging for mercy, but they do not get it
instead they get a bullet in the head.
In our history I see many mistakes in which we can learn from,
but we obviously we do not.
They say not to judge a book by its cover,
to me this quote means nothing to our history.
Our history is our cover,
and the book is filled with pain and agony, death and suffering.
Plain and Simple
War!

Past must last

Past must last
That too very fast
It may unnecessarily cast
Raise many questions and doubts

It may lead to formation of a thick cloud
That may emerge and speak very loud
Mystery must shroud
May hurt several time not to feel proud

Past may be glorious
But no need to remember it continuous
Reasons can be cited as various
The result is known and obvious

Past can be made as jumping ground
For more happiness to be found
Errors can taken care of and new foundation is laid
"Past makes us perfect" as it is well said

Past is to be kept in mind
For new horizons to find
A new concept to be tried
But truth should never be denied

If past was not that bright
Its burial may be considered to make it right
There is no place for dead memories
As it adds to tension and worries

I, for one, may go for bright future
Making every aspect very much sure
Result can be anything either in swing or favor
But I shall not compromise it with honor

We Can’t Go Back

I wonder whatever became of such and such
It’s too many years since we’ve all been in touch
In our youthful naivety we were innocently un-clever
Assuming our ‘then’ would be our ‘now’ and ‘then’ forever

Our roads of life we traveled turned in all directions
Those traveled stops are now has-been recollections
We sometime recall fondly much of the past
The unfortunate facts are, ‘ the past just doesn’t last’

Yesterdays are history stored in our memory bins
Recalling good and bad times, all through thick and thins
A memory is engraved in our brain like a computer data track
‘But the past just doesn’t last’ and ‘We can’t go back’

I Belong To The Past/ My Mind Is An Old Mind

I BELONG TO THE PAST/ MY MIND IS AN OLD MIND

I belong to the past-
My mind is an old mind-
Books not tweets,
Songs which sing
Not rages which talk.
My mind is an old mind-
I live in the long readings of distance days-
When lost in books
I dreamed life
Greater than any I had yet known-
I belong to the past
My mind is an old mind-
I have lived many many years
And the book of my own life
So much less than what I read of others
And dreamed for myself once-
I belong to the past
My mind is an old man
Yet like a fool
I still believe
Some day somehow once
There will be
The book of my life
Others will read.

The Endearment Past

I have tried to endeavour
Some endurable facts.
But never forgot a relevant
Laud of the endearment past

The tendency of some glee moments
Of such cruel bars, but never forgot
A relevant of endearment past!

The paroxysm of the cruel newt
And the wasted time of waster,
A scrawl book of school,
Like I was companionless as a
New comer of different birth.

But never forgot a relevant
Brunt of the endearment past.

I've had a group of some human beings
Without battered souls,
The bond of changing of those;
Battered situations……………
Has killed me at once.

It is my hard bitten promise!
I never forgot the relevant of
The endearment past.

I will resist this injustice

Never will I like C.L. Leipoldt say:
“My country is not mine anymore;
my nation is dead from the struggle,
my courage is not heroic anymore -
God, please forgive me! ”

and although my people
now stay right over the world
and my country has been taken away

the struggle continues forever
as long as prayers go up
to God in heaven

who is almighty in control
and even during times of impossibility
practises His will.

as long as a Afrikaner
stand on his right
to lead a life

I will get a ray of hope
from somewhere
and as long as I am alive
I will resist
this unfairness.

[This is my translation of C.L. Leipoldt’s Afrikaans verse.]

Follow the trend

What is wrong sir, if we follow the trend?
How to know who is foe or friend?
You can be person of non-entity with one stroke
Life can be shrouded under the veil and thick smoke

How does help moral when everything is on flame?
Whom to appreciate and whom to blame?
Life is not what we see and profess
We got to lead it as demanded in case

Morality keeps belly half filled
Innocents and true followers are simply killed
Pleasure and safety now things of past
Morality and standard all disintegrating

In single second you are no more
Some serious thoughts must be given therefore
Where are we leading and heading for?
What is need of continuing the proxy war?

Everybody wants freedom and liberty
No doubt it is birth right and has sanctity
What about carnage and existence of violation?
When we are unable to stop or raise the question?

We are called inhuman and pleasure seeker
There may be thousands of such thinkers
Many may disagree and many may be ready takers
Yet that is reality and we should not act as blinkers

We are selfish, arrogant and short tempered
You call us by any name when angered
Yet basic facts remain same when we live amidst fear
How long we can battle against odd situation and bear!

So enjoy the life that has been given
Live to the lat moment before it is forcefully taken
Who knows where from danger may lurk behind?
We may be left with no time to look around and find

Love to live with peace and seek to avoid bitterness
If can’t use sweet words then also smile on face
This may give some kind of respite in complex situation
It is useless to follow on set tradition with its continuation

Speak With Kindness (Or Do Not Speak At All)

speak with kindness,
or do not speak at all.
speak not of judgement,
you are not the judge.
speak not of salvation,
let your living be your scriptures.
speak not of scriptures,
let your actions be your holy book.
speak not as apostle or teacher,
speak as a human being.
speak not of god,
then god will speak through you!
speak not as a man,
for you are woman too.
speak not with hateful malice,
for love does not work that way.
speak not as a prophet or seer,
speak as compassion made flesh.
speak not of morality,
speak of connection.
speak not of authority,
the tree and the leaf have just as much.
speak not of holiness,
for all that lives be holy.
speak with kindness...
or do not speak at all!

the same history is made....

why always speak of descrimination
why always speak of war
why always speak of class
why always speak of injustice
why always speak of poverty
why always speak of rebellion....

why not speak of equality
why not speak of peace
why not speak of respect
why not speak of wisdom
why not speak of production
why not speak of working together...

the same history is made.

Life At Obelisk

Through the flood we shall rise and float
On tenterhooks of tomorrow(s)
We shall abide beyond the gallows
Of each daybreak, ours to calculate

Life, on the gigantic obelisk we etched
As history have our joys and sorrows
On the walls of each steeple chamber
There the tale goes engraved on marbles

Embroidered on silky clothes of kings
By bare hands and simple weapons
On the jars of blood, we reached to day
Molded us people in silver and clay

We may be buried underground
Still peace may not be found
It may not look good and sound
We have to make show all-round

We shall rise from dangerous grave
Lay our lives with front very brave
Let nature’s fury take heavy toll
We shall float and make ourselves roll

History will not show and repeat
Past may not be worthy to remember and sweet
Still we will see and make it memorable
Any efforts to undermine always are deplorable

Precious lives may be lost
Relation may sour and frost
We may be buried underground
Still peace may not be found

It may not look good and sound
We have to make show all-round
We shall rise from dangerous grave
Lay our lives with front very brave

Let nature’s fury take heavy toll
We shall float and make ourselves roll
History will not show and repeat
Past may not be worthy to remember and sweet

Still we will see and make it memorable
Any efforts to undermine always are deplorable
Precious lives may be lost
Relation may sour and frost

We may bid good bye up to gallows
Sacrifices to be made and principles followed
For better tomorrow we may shed our blood
Sprits may not be washed amidst grave flood

We may swim and reach the coast
To celebrate victory with wine and toast
We shall simply not die
Not to loose sight and never to lie

Let us be out of tenterhook
Names must appear in martyr’s book
We will rewrite our own achievement
History may witness holy movement

Nation may be built on sound foundation
Brave sons of soil may find names and commendation
Each page will contain sorrows
Words may speak of bright tomorrow

Wide angles with views not narrow
Resolutions firm and aims as arrows

You Tell Me Of Your Australian History

You tell me of your Australian history your ancestors were British and Irish pioneers
But your history in this Land is not an old history just two centuries and twenty years
And in time that may seem quite a long span though the combined life spans of three people nothing more
Your ancestors hardly were Aussies they came here from a distant shore.

The first Australians have lived in this Country for longer than most care to know
Their ancestors came here from Asia more than sixty thousand years ago
They are indigenous to this Country all others have links to elsewhere
Yet they still struggle for recognition and that to me seems quite unfair.

Dispossessed by the Northern invaders they never did get back their Land
And that they are now ruled by white people I find that hard to understand
You talk of the history of this Land as if it were only two hundred years old
But then suppose the history of the ancient Dreamtime by white people will never be told.

I was not even born in this Country which makes you more Aussie than I
And though I'm not Nationalistic or Patriotic my heritage I won''t deny
You talk of your pioneering ancestors but why talk of Human history at all
If the history of the first Australians you do not see fit to recall.

You tell me of your pioneering ancestors but one fact you tend to ignore
That they were not born in this Country they came here from a foreign shore
You''d swear by you the Human history of this Land was only two centuries old
But the true history of this great Country by your type will never be told

Sorry feeling

It has different joy to tell story
It may have more to tell with feeling of sorry
Yet it is glorious past
The life may be moving very fast

The freedom and liberty has much more to do
The happiness and misery all have to go through
Nothing remains as untruth or mystery
They are real pages of our glorious history

We may wish for daily sun light
We are absolutely correct and very right
We want the green field to remain within our sight
Never to descend dark but always illuminate with light

Why do we credence more too past glory?
Why that has always remained source of worry?
It is said history never repeats
One must experience and feel defeats also

Why God has to come and taken rebirth?
Why is that beautiful aspect of the earth?
All come here to take their due worth
Let us see and visualize what is coming forth

Let us expect everybody to perform?
Be kind, sympathetic and warm
There may be little set back but no harm
Peace may be prevalent after passing of the storm

Book of knowledge,
Book of truth,
The book of old,
Contains the youth,

This book has plenty,
On lies and deceit,
This reveals how to get up,
After every single defeat,

This book of love,
Tell the story,
Of the beauty's dove,
And Gods glory,

This book of life,
Is the way to live,
Be free be true,
Be pure all the way through,

Be trustworthy have honor,
Live long and prosper,
Please God and love your father,

Endless Search

It is endless search
I am not sure whether I will reach
It is difficult to learn or teach
But dilemma remains as such

With the advent of age, you grow tired
You don’t like the people around you to admire
So far you tried to win them away on hire
You kept your house safe from burning fire

You now try to search the good of past days
How you were being pushed and taken away
You had glorious and sweet memory to remember
As everybody in family loved you as beloved member

I was so much enthusiastic when tried to greet
I would have never contemplated or accepted defeat
I had only one aim of reaching to highest peak
I wanted only and not the words to speak

I left behind everything and sacrificed
I wanted to fulfill as already promised
Nothing was stopping me from going ahead
I was in all the way destined to lead

As it happens with living beings
It also ends sometimes and bring
All woes and tales to make you wonder
You look at the cloudy sky but remain unaffected with thunder

Certainly I have left behind some precious things
Friends, relatives everything to play in the ring
Mighty only survive and rest disappear
Or suffer with pain agony to bear

I open my memory box to find something special
I get nothing even if reach the stage of burial
It can never be had as they are thing of past
The life disintegrates and end near very fast

Freedom struggle

'Freedom struggle'

Yes, it will as it has done in past
Misery and plight never long last
They have to disintegrate very fast
No doubts should be ever cast

You can’t wait helplessly
You can’t always cry with remorse
What is that you always speak adversely?
Do nothing useful and still talk fiercely

No words will do any good
Neither helpless hands nor shortage of food
But only strong resolve and supreme sacrifice
Not hollow actions but real promises

Let sky shower hell with lot of curses
It can’t stand on the way or reverse
Your destiny is decided and set the goal
Even if you fail, falter or commit fowl

You have to shed a blood and lead
Let peace march go on and go ahead
No out side help can come to your rescue
As it has to be performed by some of you

I have observed brilliance in expression
They take credit by using it with passion
Where does it lead for obtaining real freedom?
The result in such manner is achieved seldom

Until you have valiant and brave people
Who can lay down their lives and are capable
Nothing can descend on your land of this beautiful earth
You will suffer and meet thousands death

Your continent has suffered since centuries
Engulfed with atrocities and endless miseries
Not a single soul has searched for end game
Who else can be taken into account or blamed?

Where are youngsters who don’t want to shed difference?
Where are their ideals and drawing wrong inferences?
What stops them for altering the course of wind?
Stop cursing self or country but dash against wall to find
