Hours working, long spent,
always out, time gone by.
Time taken, not lent,
a frustrating sigh.
Innocence missed,
over the years how they grow,
Only time to reminisce,
wish time would go slow.
Done to repel hunger pangs and the need to survive,
life doesn't offer a second chance; it takes and will never give.
Seize every moment, use every second given.
It must be spent, whilst everyone is living.
