The Spore And The Condor
Said Spunky Spore, “We germ cells are busy making plants
So that as you fly over, Casual Condor you see flowers dance.
Though we’re very tiny, you’ll find it’s true
By joining with other spores we can form something new.”
“Well Spunky Spore, ” replied Casual Condor, “You impressed me.
As I soar it sounds like you’re in almost everything that I see.”
“How right you are! ” exclaimed the proud Spunky Spore,
“We’re in everything there is and we’re busy making more.”
The poor condor now wasn’t so casual as he started to cry.
Spunky Spore asked, “Sir, you’re crying, please tell me why.”
The sad condor wiped his eyes and said, “I need help from you.
Please make more of us or we’ll be extinct and gone from view.”
Spunky Spore is joining with his friends to see what they can do,
But for a while Casual Condor and his family will be just a few.
If humans care enough to protect this wonderful team,
Then the tragedy of extinction won’t again arrive at this extreme.

Spunky
Spunky dont like her uniform
It never fit so good
Going back to the orphanage
And the place where her garage once stood
Well its a free-for-all
Free-for-all, free-for-all
Its a free-for-all you and me
And if you dont like what they are telling you
You cant teach a blind man to see
Well I can see
Spunky looks good in her bright red wig
Eating chocolate chip mint ice cream
A cat named lola with a violent past
Is balled-up asleep cross her knees
And its a free-for-all
Free-for-all, free-for-all
Its a free-for-all you and me
One day the world will be ready for you
And wonder how they didnt see
Spunky knows she can save the world
In her own little way
Turning in her old uniform
cause you know it really didnt pay
cause its a free-for-all
Free-for-all, free-for-all
Its a free-for-all you and me
Ill walk through the world with your name on my tongue
And your picture etched on my screen

(V – 2010) The Serenity of Solitude
At times lonely
When we go for a solitary walk
Down the silent valley of solitude:
As we whisper a casual word
It echoes back to us with a renewed energy!
That’s the serenity of solitude.
As we throw a casual glance
It captures for us a hitherto unseen beauty!
That’s the serenity of solitude.
As we touch a casual thought
It blooms before us as profound poetry!
That’s the serenity of solitude.
At times busy
Something entices us to take a solitary walk –
That’s the serenity of solitude!
Casual Affair
So you give it all
In the world today
You say it's all about the passion
And the wars you wage
I'm not saying I'm one for violence
But it keeps me hangin' on
It's a casual affair
When everybody loves you
Oh they'll pay top dollar
Make you wear the dog collar
When everybody loves you
I said I'm not afraid of change
I'm not afraid to lose
They say it's all about the sacrifice
And the weapons you choose
Like I said I'm not one for violence
But it keeps me hangin' on
It's a casual affair
When everybody loves you
Oh they'll pay top dollar
Make you wear the dog collar
When everybody loves you
It's a casual affair
When everybody loves you
Oh they'll pay top dollar
Make you wear the dog collar
When everybody loves you
It's a casual affair
When everybody loves you
Oh they'll pay top dollar
When everybody loves you
It's a casual affair
It's a casual affair

Wee-incarnation?
A grain of sand on the ocean shore
Ride the wind this mushroom spore
A wee mustard seed, easily ignored
‘Til next I return, as a large meteor

The Condor
the eyes of the condor
their ferocious stare resembles
a hook that holds our heart at ransom
they size us up over and over
before striking with a sharpness
steelier than claws as if to
triumph is its ultimate birth right

Hugged Gwenth Paltrow's Grandmother
Standing outside on a sunny day,
standing with bright old lady whose a spunky but a little grey.
and also her CNA, we laughed and talked away.
Then I told them I don't work here anymore,
they were both sad, for they adored me and my smile,
They enjoyed my company while I was there for awhile.
I helped them with carts and also held the door.
They would miss my stories which they adored.
So then when it was time to say goodbye,
I gave a big hug to both before I cried.

Cute Little Dog Achilles
ACHILLES IS A CUTE DOG WHO IS BLACK AND GOLD,
HE LOOKS LIKE A PUPPY BUT HE’S 9 YEARS OLD!
HE IS VERY SPUNKY FOR HE HAS A LITTLE STRUT,
HE IS VERY ORIGINAL LOOKING NOT YOUR AVERAGE MUT.
HE IS HALF POMERANIAN AND LONG HAIRED CHIWAWA,
HE DOESN’T BARK MUCH OR GO “BOW WOW”.
HIS OWNER LAUREN IS AFRAID OF HIM BEING OUT OF HER SIGHT,
SHE KNOWS HE MIGHT GET WHISKED AWAY DAY OR NIGHT.
PEOPLE FIND HIM ADORABLE AND GIVE HIM TREATS,
EVERYONE LOVES TO PET HIM, HE IS REALLY SWEET.
NOW IF YOU SEE HIM WITH LAUREN, STOP AND SAY “HI”
TAKE A PHOTO OF HIM FOR HE IS THE CUTEST LOOKING DOG ALIVE.

Asexual
Everything is a carbon copy
Squeezing-out of the original
Take that brunet, transsexual,
Nonchalantly-surveying, but genial
All fur coat and no knickers so trashy.
Longing to be a female
Might as well of been born an Airedale
Such legs as hers were meant to be female.
Such analytical tales of a tawdry life:
Could only come from; a misused, housewife.
If ever she were to become a genuine angel.
Wouldn't she then wish to be a male?
Every spore in every cell with less regale
Of cause we were all once asexual:
So to be without sin; truly is to be original.

In Th? ? Utur?
Were life just a metaphor,
And a flaming meteor
Fell to earth tomorrow
Bearing foreign spore
And though the past was never there?
And the future, under a stone,
Scuttling, like a scorpion!
A million megatons of dust
Doodled out of mooing earth,
Suspended in the crystal air,
Then settling on the puffball tongue,
To pronounce the sentence of our doom
And cancel out for evermore
This pain, this rage, this waste, this sorrow?

Rose Darling
Rose darling come to me
Snake marys gone to bed
All our steaming sounds of love
Cannot disturb her in her night
Or raise her sleeping head
All I ask of you
Is make my wildest dreams come true
No one sees and no one knows
Rose darling come to me
Snake mary dreams along
I would guess shes in detroit
With lots of money in the bank
Although I could be wrong
You must know its right
The spore is on the wind tonight
You wont feel it till it grows
Chorus:
Rose darling my friend
With only you and what Ive found
Well wear the weary hours down
Rose darling come to me
The clock is close at hand
All my empty words of love
Can never screen the flash I feel
Or make you understand
Honey cant you see
I know its real its got to be
Why not chase it where it goes

Imperial Bedroom
Everyone agreed that she looked delightful
Except for her sister, who was hateful and spiteful
Blushing bright red from her head to her feet
But rushing into her bridal suite
The imperial bedroom, the regal boudoir
This casual acquaintance led to an intimate bonsoir
Life turns out like a tv serial
A head full of daydreams, his hands full of material
She says its nothing, hes messing up her hair
And still he looks so neat
Stepping into the bridal suite
The imperial bedroom, the regal boudoir
This casual acquaintance led to an intimate bonsoir
So the best man will do his best again
Now theyre getting dressed again
Blushing bright red from her head to her feet
Sneaking out of the bridal suite
The imperial bedroom, the regal boudoir
This casual acquaintance led to an intimate bonsoir
We know who youre with and where you are
In the imperial bedroom, the regal boudoir
This casual acquaintance led to an intimate bonsoir
Two names under the register
In the imperial bedroom, the regal boudoir
This casual acquaintance led to an intimate bonsoir

Jennie M'Grew
Not, where the stairway turns in the dark,
A hooded figure, shriveled under a flowing cloak!
Not yellow eyes in the room at night,
Staring out from a surface of cobweb gray!
And not the flap of a condor wing,
When the roar of life in your ears begins
As a sound heard never before!
But on a sunny afternoon,
By a country road,
Where purple rag-weeds bloom along a straggling fence,
And the field is gleaned, and the air is still,
To see against the sun-light something black,
Like a blot with an iris rim --
That is the sign to eyes of second sight....
And that I saw!

Cajoling From A Condor
Underneath the condor wings
Of the night's gargoyle sentries
Exiguous bodies shrill their lights
Scintillating the scar of the horizon
A fine line where the sun treads
Jumping rooftops and flooding trelisses
Where the morning rips and snoops in
Pilfering the dark of the night
And the salient screams of the cicadas—
A fracture of hope on a lazy fire
A purveyance for the poor
And the bones crackled to ignite
The hearse moseying in the roads
Shrouding the thinning ice in the skin
Unwelcoming in the rhythm of the dirge
The night ends there for the meander
Thwarted by an answer in the uttermost
Shape and form, but this is not
Giving up on me of me, yet.

To A. L. Gordon
In night-long days, in aeons
where all Time's nights are one;
where life and death sing paeans
as of Greeks and Galileans,
never begun or done;
where fate, the slow swooping condor,
comes glooming all the sky --
as you have pondered I ponder,
as you have wandered I wander,
as you have died, shall I die?

Like An Inca
Said the condor to the preying mantis
Were gonna lose this place just like we lost atlantis
Brother we got to go sooner than you know
The gypsy told my fortune, she said that nothin showed.
Who put the bomb on the sacred altar?
Why should we die if it comes our way?
Why should we care about a little button
Being pushed by someone we dont even know?
Well. I wish I was an aztec,
Or a runner in peru
I would build such beautiful buildings
To house the chosen few
Like an inca from peru.
If you want to get high, build a strong foundation
Sink those pylons deep now and reach for the sky
If you want to get lost in the jungle rhythm
Get down on the ground and pretend youre swimmin.
If you want to put ice in the lava river
First you must climb, then you must stand and shiver
Brother we got to go sooner than you know
The gypsy told my fortune, the gypsy told my fortune,
The gypsy told my fortune, she said that nothing showed
Well I wish I was an aztec,
Or a runner in peru
I would build such beautiful buildings
To house the chosen few
Like an inca from peru.
Said the condor to the preying mantis
Were gonna lose this place just like we lost atlantis
Brother we got to go sooner than you know

Why should we care about a little button
Being pushed by someone we dont even know?
Well. I wish I was an aztec,
Or a runner in peru
I would build such beautiful buildings
To house the chosen few
Like an inca from peru.
I feel sad, but I feel happy
As Im coming back to home
Theres a bridge across the river
That I have to cross alone
Like a skipping rolling stone
Like an inca.

What we worship guides our thirst...
Only he God can charge or judge
The ink, that pores-out its blood.
That algae-spore" of each, dreams-drudge,
That made its way—out; from the crud.
"Only he who's skipped, between the stone-
Rocks of the alternant—current
Knows where each" lost breath, lays sewn.
All are archaic, indulgent.
"What we worship guides our thirst...
The mountain pastures, the glassy-glade.
The foot-pounding-city-streets, cloudburst:
Life's passing" promenade.
