Mid-Night Oil

I have burned the mid-night oil
and my brain is weary.

Things look better in daytime.
The darkness brings on thought.
Problems become magnified
and you feel like you are caught

inside a darkened tunnel,
not able to find your way out.
If it wasn't for approaching daylight

What A Logical Explanation

A posh and elegant home,
Sitting in a setting...
That is clearly amongst the best.
An unrest occurs.
And those inside are victimized,
Losing their lives and that home is burned down.

Photographers and rescuers are allowed on the scene.
But those who wish to investigate what took place,
Are not permitted to step a foot inside...
With a doing done that is denied.
What do you make of this?

'Maybe they wish to keep it secret,
A watering of the plants had not been done as promised?
And those who visited,
Were negligent in conducting their business.
And this is wished to keep secret and not go public.'

What a logical explanation.
I hadn't thought of that.

Beauty....... of what?

The earth wait's the sky drizzles
Seasons come and seasons go
With the smell of weather
The farmer chooses to decorate his farm

A farmer believes every leaf
Of the plant as its own
At every point protects and nurtures
The plants every leaf

The farmer that stood by
That plants every need and move
The plants have no respect for him

With, television, movies, music, the internet and old
Fashion gossip
Where do the young find refuge to absorb all of this
High-tech?
Surely, with personal computers valuable information
Is gathered with the help of the agency called gosip
We find so little time to see how we all as human beings
All relate and connect

Our modern technology can brings us the answers
That can help save the lives - of so many
Also, entertain us with activities to satisfy the wishes of
Both the young And the old
However, walks through Mother Nature are becoming
Rare and obsolete
She misses our solitude and solemn company
Though science can teach us “HOW? , ” it all comes alive
Only God can explain “ WHY? ” it all so beautifully unfolds

Yes in the classroom it’s real you can touch it, you can see
It - OH! - It’s all so sensible
All the pieces fit together we find joy in the explanation of
'HOW” It all functions
However to answer the question “WHY? “, with God the
Answer is quite comprehensible
So take no shortcuts please - on your latest discoveries,
For the “HOW? ” and the “ WHY? ” must Find true conjunction

A Secret Find....

you know the secret
of the heart, it is
after all, the heart
itself that tells you,

when we go out of the house
slowly as we caress
the soft spots of our body

we throw away imagination
like a kite in the air
albeit we hold upon a string
of our logical deductions,

when i finally find what i
am looking, i take it gently
inside my pocket
and then i go home to
savor what taste is there,

we know what we find
yet we are not telling each other
about it,

it is a secret,
it is life itself,

when by the slip of our tongue

The House Plants

the plants, they are your friends
especially the ones in your room
if you are sensitive to their feelings
you will know they are there trying

the television not playing

Sins Of Our Fathers

It's a seed planted
By the history of our forefathers
That is in you and I my brothers
Yes! You too my sisters
Are plaqued by the same seed
The same seed that assumed
A place of comfort
In the garden of my father's father's father,
Further and farther from root level
It found its way through the bark to us the branches
