No Good Days
There are no good days
and no bad days.
They all start out the same-
you wake
you have expectations
make assumptions
name the day 'good'
name the day 'bad'
name yourself 'happy'
name yourself 'sad'.
I tell myself this
still today I'm mildly content
but tomorrow maybe not.

Day 1
Happy days!
Days of fun
Days of shine
Days of sun
Happy days!
Days I won
Days I earned
Today has just begun
Happy days!
Days I dread
To wake up
With a burning head
Happy days!
For which I wait
With furnished fear
And hollow hate.
Oh Happy Days
Oh happy days,
Everyone likes you.
Oh happy days,
Please stay today.
Oh happy days,
Sweet like honey.
Oh happy days,
loving family ties.
Oh happy days,
Giving us strength.
Oh happy days,
Children out playing.
Oh happy days,
On the green grass.
Oh happy days,
With boundless optimism.
Oh happy days,
I give thanks.
Oh happy days,
Dreaming for more.
Oh happy days,
Warm and bright.
Oh happy days,
Like love eternal.
Oh happy days,
And glad memories.
Oh happy days,
New hope prayers.
Oh happy days,
With smiling faces.
Oh happy days,
Holidays and health.
Oh happy days,
With close friends.
Oh happy days,
Generous and giving.
Oh happy days,
Shiny rainbow dreams.
Oh happy days,
Till the very end.
Oh happy days,
Always and forever.
Amen.

For Everyone The Life Journey
For everyone the life journey is different though a journey that for all of us must end
Along the way we meet some who do not like us But we also do make many a good friend
And on the journey we learn many lessons we've been learning from life since before we did crawl
And every day we live in life for us a lesson and that applies to you and me and all
And on our life journey we make many mistakes and for every one of them some price to pay
But we must struggle onwards towards the finish and every dawning for us a new day
For many life's road more uphill than downhill it is a hard journey to undertake
We have the good days and we have the bad days and every dawn to a new challenge we wake
Tomorrow is another day they will tell you and tomorrow in it's own good time will come
But tomorrow will not be for everybody today's will be the last sunset for some
For every one of us life's journey is different so different for you as it is for me
And our thinking on most things are quite different we all look at life so very differently
For everyone the life journey has to end sometime but where or when we are not meant to know
For some it will end before they reach their prime years and for some when they are walking slow.

Good Old Days (feat. Cedella Marley)
irie days come on play
let the angels fly let the devils die
got to do what you can with the time at hand
Ali boom mah yeah Ali boom mah yeah
don't worry your mind its just the test of time
in five years these be the good old days
no one knows what the future holds for everything has a season
its not a time for war its a time for peace
tomorrow knows tomorrow woes
I remember when grandpa use to say grandson these be the good old days
these be the good old days
now comes the moon with its starry lights
and so begins the night life
the tribal dance puts me in a trance
as she pulls me in with her magic swing
I asked of her what do we celebrate
she said to me these be the good old days
these be the good old days
leh leh leh leh leh leh leh leh
there is no future there is only now
let's cherish these moments that we now know
these be the good old days

The Good Old Days
i know i'm not too much of a bargain
and you know that's not what you bargained for
as the hours turn into days
pretty soon lost in the haze
it's up to you and me
and who's to say
these could be the good old days
i like waking up after a bad dream
makes it feel like life ain't bad
little kids go out to play
they're just happy it's another day
it's up to you and me
and who's to say
these could be the good old days
i guess i could be a quiet hero
no one knows the good i've done
you're not sure
well that's okay
'cause i am
and i'm not afraid
it's up to you and me
and who's to say
these could be the good old days

I Just Got My Pay
Five long days and Im tired of working
Im going to see my boss today
In fifteen minutes Ill be on the train
cause I just got my pay
Now I could take and sock away my dough
And make me six percent a year
But its not much fun to wait around for that
When I can spend it while its here
Ah
Lets get dressed up
And see a movie
I like spending my money
And I like having a good time
Good times sure make me happy
And Im so happy
cause I just got my pay
Monday morning Im up and at it
Those last two days were good for my soul
Its time to do my working thing
Im late so I got to roll
My take home comes to bout ninety-five
And my boss is giving me some praise
If it werent for me the place would fall apart
I think Ill hit him up for a raise
(hit im up get a rais)
Ah
Lets get undressed
And climb in bed too
I like spending my money
And I like having a good time
Good times sure make me happy
And Im so happy
cause I just got my pay

Good Ole Days
I work my job all the way to the weekend
Call all my buddies, ask where you been
Let's get together somewhere, seven o'clock
Wanna pop a top, pop a top
Wann go, wanna roll, wanna rock it
Hey, hey let's make some good ole days
Hey, hey let's make some good ole days
That's right,
Let's make some good ole days tonight
Hey, baby, what's the chance you dancing with me?
Been watching you all night
Like what I see
That big old moon is shining down from above
You know it's stirring up magic stuff
This could be the night we fall in love
Chorus
Ice cold, wild free
Night's young for you and me
Let's do something that we'd never dare
Something we'll be talking about in our rockin chair
Hey, hey let's make some good ole days
Hey, hey let's make some good ole days

Make Tomorrow
Put on the dress in which you were married
Pull down the veil til your eyes are hid
Can you remember where we both came from
Let us do as we did
Look at tomorrow today
Making tomorrow today
Making tomorrow today
Making tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
Put back the photo under your window
Put down the phone that you hold in your hand
Put away these things that stand in between us
Let us be what we can
When it seems
Hopeless
When it seems
Hopeless
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow today
What better measure of what you were doing here
Then what you can leave behind
All the children of your children's children
Do you ever think what they're going to find
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Where the sacred meet the scared
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow
Where the dreamer's dream is dared
In each of us
A dream can burn like the sun
Let's try it all one more time
To get this lesson learned
Sitting up in a spaceship
Looking down at the earth
You wonder what they all stuggling for
What's it all really worth
Making tomorrow today
Making tomorrow today
Make tomorrow
Make tomorrow

Lean On Me (Tonight)
Lazy day, Sunday afternoon,
Like to get your feet up, watch TV.
Sunday roast is something good to eat,
Must be lamb today 'cause beef was last week.
So full up, bursting at the seams,
Soon you'll start to nod off, happy dreams.
Wake up, for tea and buttered scones
Such a lot of work for you Sunday moms.
It's such a crying shame
Week after week the same.
Today's heaven-sent and you're feeling content,
You worked all week long.
Still, it's quite sad tomorrow's so bad
And I don't feel too strong.
Lazy day, Sunday afternoon,
LIke to get your feet up, watch TV.
Sunday roast is something good to eat,
Now it's almost over till next week.
That's how your life goes by
Until the day you die.

Good Ole Days
Oh, the good ole days,
why can't this day be,
the good ole days
thinking of those days,
long ago, when old age,
was on the horizon,
childhood just a step behind,
yesterday just a memory,
childhood memories when,
oh, so carefree
today the present,
will be those good ole days,
when old age is upon us
we once again wished we
were back in time and,
oh so care free.

If Not Now...
If not now
Then when
If not today
Then why make your promises
A love declared for days to come
Is as good as none
You can wait 'til morning comes
You can wait for the new day
You can wait and lose this heart
You can wait and soon be sorry
If not now
Then when
If not today
Then why make your promises
A love declared for days to come
Is as good as none
Now love's the only thing that's free
We must take it where it's found
Pretty soon it may be costly
If not now
Then when
If not today
Then why make your promises
A love declared for days to come
Is as good as none
If not now
What then
We all must live our lives
Always feeling
Always thinking
The moment has arrived
If not now
Then when

Every Tomorrow
There are days when yours spirits are down,
and others when your spirits are high.
Then there are days, when you want to sit down
and have a damn good cry.
We all get these days, no matter who we be.
Then tomorrow, you have forgotten those feelings,
and you’re on top form again.
That is just how things work my friend.
The key to the situation
is not to dwell on things.
Push yourself forward,
to reach whatever goals you want.
Every tomorrow, can bring a brighter day.
That’s what you want to remember,
when things start getting you down.

Good Old Days
I remember the good old days.
The days when a black man such as myself could not even look at a white woman. Remember what happen to Emmett Till because he did.
Yeah the good old days
When a hard working woman named Rosa Parks got arrested
Just because she refused to get up and give a white man her seat.
The good old days
was when a group of men could burn down a of place worship
And kill four little black girls.
The good old days
When a man like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
got killed only because he had a dream.
I often hear people saying I miss the good old days.
But from my perspective those good old days
was not that good after all! !
This Beautiful Day
THIS BEAUTIFUL DAY
This beautiful day-
There have been so many days like this in my life-
So many good days-
So many blessed days-
Days I could walk and think and write,
As I liked -
Days just seeing the world made me happy-
For all these days-
And for whatever such days I have left-
I thank You God.

Postulate
These days we live are not for pretensions.
Or those with assumptions...
Who can't give it to anyone straight.
These days we live have been much maligned,
By mischievous maliciousness!
And those who have done this...
Need to do prsion time!
These days we live brought with them heartbreak.
Too many today have become victims of snakes.
And those who gambled away lives of others...
Deserve public floggings and removed from their undercovers.
These days we live will sadly not get better.
Not for those who sit wishing...
For those times to return reminisced.
These days we live are not for pretensions.
Or those with assumptions...
Who can't give it to anyone straight.
Absorbed they are in crookedness.
With deceit to satiate.
These days we live are exactly as observed.
Intended to shake those awake.
From fantasies kept...
By those now seen as fakers.
Those who baited hatred and fear.
As a means for their escape.
But it is too late!
For those who traded evil...
To postulate truth to manipulate their doings!

Two faces to a one-sided coin
It's days like today
i feel like skipping school
Like drowning in my own bloody pool
I hate him for what was done
Wish I could hurt him for fun
On days like today.
It's days like today
That make me hate the world
My thoughts are all too swirled
Their words are deadly weapons
killing me, destroying me
On days like today.
It's days like today
i thought you were cool
But you thought me a fool
I don't know what goes on in your head
But i wish you dead
On days like today

Days Go By
I'm changing lanes
I'm talking on the phone
I'm drivin' way to fast
And the interstate's jammed with
Gunners like me afraid of coming in last
But somewhere in the race we run
We're coming undone
Days go by
I can feel 'em flying
Like a hand out the window in the wind as the cars go by
It's all we've been given
So you better start livin' right now
'Cause days go by
Out on the roof just the other night
I watched the world flash by
Headlights, taillights running through a river of neon signs
But somewhere in the rush I felt
We're losing ourselves
Days go by
I can feel 'em flying
Like a hand out the window in the wind as the cars go by
It's all we've been given
So you better start livin' right now
'Cause days go by
We think about tomorrow then it slips away
We talk about forever but we've only got today
And the days go by
I can feel 'em flying
Like a hand out the window
As the cars go by
It's all we've been given
So you better start livin'
You better start livin'
Better start livin' right now
Cause days go by
I can feel like 'em flying
Like a hand out the window in the wind as the cars go by
It's all we've been given
So you better start livin' right now
Cause days go by
These days go by
So take 'em by the hand
They're yours and mine
Take 'em by the hand
And live your life
Take 'em by the hand
Don't let 'em all fly by
Come on, Come on now
Don't you know the days go by

Some Days
Some days are good,
some days are bad,
and some are in between.
We never know which day we’ll have,
until the hidden dice is rolled.
One morning we wake to sunshine,
one morning we wake to rain,
some we wake to be a bit of both.
However, whatever we wake up to,
just be thankful that we wake up.
