The temptations
When He was hungry in the desert
and Satan appeared to Him,
tempted Him to turn the rocks into loaves of bread,
the light of God shone over Him
and along with that demon
every hungry person talked and that wish
He wanted to fulfil but the word of God
was in His heart lying there without being bordered in.
When the world, the city lay beneath His feet
the demon said
that He must fall from the height
to express God’s power
but He did not want to tempt God
for that great liar
and He knew in His heart that God is His Father,
even in times of pain and amuck.
When He stood on the peak of a very high mountain
the wide world was lying beneath
and momentarily it would be His
if He bended His knees before the devil
but Christ knew that He had to suffer,
that He could not escape the crucifixion,
that man must only bend his knees before the almighty God
and told the devil to be gone.

Temptations Pass You By
As I think about things in the darkness of night,
There is something that turns that darkness into light.
The darkest of night is presented by the things that happened and not planned,
And the Light is presented by what the Lord does for us and we try to understand.
So as we all walk and wander lost and go around,
We need to seek the LORD and ask him to help us get found.
This makes me want to make that I do everything for Christ and be fair,
Taking this time to develop the daily strength and discipline the bonding time and prayer.
It is also good for me to think of the positive things in life and put them in their place,
Living a life like this will keep Christ in your heart and showing of your face.
So as we think about the things that and go and tempt us from the start,
We should remember Do What Jesus Would Do in our heart.
By remember the Story of Jesus being tempted in the desert by Satan for 40 Days/Nights.
And how Jesus looked at him and then bent and prayed until He saw the True Light.
Satan asked Him if you are hungry and you are the Son of God then you can turn this stone to bread.
Jesus answered, and said I am the Son of God and man cannot live on bread alone, but on the words that come out of God's mouth instead.
As Satan took Christ up to the top of the Holy City, and He asked Christ if you the Son of God then throw yourself down and have the angles lift you up and prove me that you are the best.
Well Christ answered him that it is written not to put god to the test.
Finally Satan took Jesus up very high and showed him the kingdoms of the world and said this can be yours if you bend down and worship me.
Jesus looked at him and told to back away because it is written that I am here to worship my Father only.
But also think of the things that Christ would want us to do,
For God will help you and deliver you through.

Nowhere To Hide
You might not understand the way I write because I write for me
This is my selfish exploit, my medicine, for the acid-
This is how I choose to drown my sorrows, I hid them, quid
In a sea of deeper sorrow, that goes deeper still... can't you see
Sorrow for sorrow, can't you see, this my strategy
To chasten the pain with an ever greater pain
To drive out the darkness by further causing all light to wain
To float in a sea of all I truly am
For surely this, this really is me, All I am, All I can
Muster is my fake face, but the monster
Dripping in darkness and blood, he lurks just under that mask
I know him, he is not gone, and he is hungry
Hungry, hungry, hungry, always inside
Hungry, hungry, hungry, left with nowhere to hide
Hungry, hungry, hungry, waiting to devour
This very hour I realize I've always been running
But I get nowhere, because I am already nowhere
And nowhere is certainly no place to hide.

Jesus Tempted
“The Tempter tempts the Creator –
Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
The Lord was just a man like us
But lived a sin-free life on earth.”
The Spirit then took Jesus Christ
Into the desert for some days;
For forty days and forty nights,
He fasted and fervently prayed.
And in that weary state of mind
And body when Christ Jesus lay,
The Tempter Satan came beside
To test the Lord and make Him prey!
Oh, what a time, the Tempter chose
To try to bait the Lord Jesus!
He didn’t spare ev’n the Son of God,
And chose His weakest moment too.
‘Oh, you must be so hungry now!
Why don’t you turn these stones to bread?
Oh, what a suggestion to make
Reminding Christ, His powers divine! ’
The wily Satan thought Jesus
Would succumb to his proposal;
But Jesus knew why Father sent
Him to be born as man on earth.
‘Man does not live by bread alone,
But by each word that God utters, ’
said Jesus to the Tempter and
Got over His first temptation.
Then Satan took Christ up the roof
Of Jerusalem temple high,
And urged Him to jump down at once,
For angels would prevent His hurt!
‘Don’t test thy Lord, ’ the Scripture says,
said Jesus Christ to Satan then.
Satan showed Him the wealth on earth,
Promised Him if He worshipped him.
But Jesus spoke sternly to Him –
‘Thou shalt worship thy Lord alone! ’ –
the scripture says, ‘Oh, don’t you know;
Begone then Satan, ’ and he left.
Then Jesus felt truly hungry;
Angels ministered unto Him.
The Tempter failed deceiving Christ,
And Jesus won full victory.
When Satan can tempt Christ Himself,
All mankind is his soft target;
Temptations come to every man;
Yet, we mustn’t fall a prey to them!
Our faith in God must remain strong;
We ought to stay alert all life;
The Holy Spirit within us
Will help to ward off every strife.

The Boy's Gift
I only have
two little fish and
the five barley loaves
my mother packed
for my father and me
for our long
walk home.
I’ve been hungry before
and fear losing my little dinner,
but your eyes so fill my heart,
that, smiling, I give you all I have.
Oh, you must be the One!
for from my meager dole
you feed five thousand souls.
Never again
will I be hungry!

Hungry For Love
(coverdale)
I keep hangin on the promise of love
Your eyes tell me that Im gonna see
I feel the hunger like a starving man
Honey, when you stand close to me
I start to shiver, I start to shake,
Chills up an down my spine,
Im in the mood for action
In need of satisfaction,
Babe, Im gonna make you mine
Now I believe in you,
An everything that you do
cos Im hungry for love,
Im hungry for love, Im hungry for love,
I cant get enough, I cant get enough, I cant get enough
Ive got the weakness of an ordinary man
I need the comfort of womanly mind,
But, I get nervous when I think about
So many women an so little time
But, I believe in you,
An everything you do
cos Im hungry for love,
Im hungry for love, Im hungry for love,
I cant get enough, I cant get enough, I cant get enough
I start to shiver, I start to shake,
Chills up an down my spine,
I get so nervous when I think about
So many women an not enough time
But, I believe in you,
An everything that you do
cos Im hungry for love,
Im hungry for love, Im hungry for love,
I cant get enough, I cant get enough, I cant get enough
Im hungry for love, Im hungry for love, Im hungry for love,
I cant get enough, I cant get enough, I cant get enough,
I cant get enough, I cant get enough, I cant get enough
Im hungry for love...

He Passed The Test!
When tempting the Lord Jesus Satan said
'Command all these stones to turn into bread.'
'Man shall not live by bread alone, ' Jesus said
'But by the words that come from God instead.'
Then he took Jesus to the temple height
saying 'Throw yourself down, you'll be alright.'
'For His angels will protect you from harm'
'So You have no cause for any alarm.'
Jesus answered him, for He knew what was best,
'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'
Then causing Jesus earths kingdoms to see
'I'll give you these if you bow down to me'
'Away from me Satan', Jesus then said,
'I will worship God and serve Him instead.'
Satan failed in what he attempted
to make Jesus sin when he was tempted.
The Lord withstood temptations greatest test.
Then angels ministered to help Him rest.
He was determined to complete God's plan
to bring eternal salvation to man.
Many doubts and fears come across our way
but with God's help we can still make headway.
By believing what it says in God's Word
and trusting the promises from the Lord.
For I am so often tempted to sin
and I am full of fears and doubts within.
But then back to the cross I can still go
and there God's forgiveness and cleansing know.
Hungry Heart
Got a wife and kids in baltimore jack
I went out for a ride and I never went back
Like a river that dont know where its flowing
I took a wrong turn and I just kept going
Everybodys got a hungry heart
Everybodys got a hungry heart
Lay down your money and you play your part
Everybodys got a hungry heart
I met her in a kingstown bar
We fell in love I knew it had to end
We took what we had and we ripped it apart
Now here I am down in kingstone again
Everybodys got a hungry heart...
Everybody needs a place to rest
Everybody wants to have a home
Dont make no difference what nobody says
Aint nobody like to be alone
Everybodys got a hungry heart...

Hungry Eyes
Hungry eyes
Ive been meaning to tell you
Ive got this feelin that wont subside
I look at you and I fantasize
You are mine tonight
Now Ive got you in my sights
With these hungry eyes
One look at you and I cant disguise
Ive got hungry eyes
I feel the magic between you and i
I want to hold you so hear me out
I want to show you what loves all about
Darlin tonight
Now Ive got you in my sights
With these hungry eyes
One look at you and I cant disguise
Ive got hungry eyes
I feel the magic between you
And Ive got hungry eyes
Now Ive got you in my sights
With these hungry eyes
Now did I take you by surprise
I need you to see
This love was meant to be
Ive got hungry eyes
One look at you and I cant disguise
Ive got hungry eyes
I feel the magic between you
And Ive got hungry eyes
Now Ive got you in my sights
With those hungry eyes
Did I take you by surprise

Pounding
pounding, pounding nails,
pounding heartbeats, pounding feet.
pounding voices, pounding anger,
pounding need, pounding greed.
hungry, hungry eyes,
hungry souls, hungry holes.
hungry children, hungry countries,
hungry hands, hungry man.
throbbing, throbbing blood,
throbbing dreams, throbbing schemes.
throbbing ideas, throbbing hatred,
throbbing inside, throbbing cant hide.
touching, touching hearts,
touching true, touching you.
touching forbidden, touching daring,
touching color, touching wonder.
pounding, pounding nails...

Why Can't I Be You
You're so gorgeous i'll do anything
I'll kiss you from your feet
To where your head begins
You're so perfect you're so right as rain
You make me
Make me hungry again
Everything you do is irresistable
Everything you do is simply kissable
Why can't i be you?
I'll run around in circles
Til i run out of breath
I'll eat you all up
Or i'll just hug you to death
You're so wonderful
Too good to be true
You make me
Make me hungry for you
Everything you do is simply delicate
Everything you do is quite angelicate
Why can't i be you?
You turn my head when you turn around
You turn the whole world upside down
I'm smitten i'm bitten i'm hooked i'm cooked
I'm stuck like glue
You make me
Make me hungry for you
Everything you do is simply dreamy
Everything you do is quite delicious
Why can't i be you?
Why can't i be you?
Why can't i be you?

Miracle Child (single B-side)
She got me to walk on water
I did what she said
She got me to steal the moonlight
Put it over her head
And after I moved the mountain
Which stood in the way
The answer was in the question
She asked me if I wanted to stay
All of my friends said it couldn't last
I'd be another there in her past
But I disagree 'cause
I can't say say no, no, no, no
Save me, she's so hungry
Make a man do anything
I know, she gets hungry
Gets away like an innocent child
Save me, she's so hungry
Has the appetite to everything
I know, she's just hungry
She's got the mind of a miracle child
And when I changed the seasons
And water to wine
I took all the wordly problems
And got the peace in our time
And after I built the temple
She wanted so bad
I took her to altar on Sunday
To look at everything that we had
I could say no, but I always do
Someone outside
Would be comin' through
And I can't stop her
I can't say no, no, no, no
She's so hungry
She gets hungry ...

Need to be sustained
By what Earth and its cultivators give

Gettin Hungry
I wake up in the mornin just to work all through the day
That sun can get so hot that you can sweat your strength away
And ooooohhhhhhhh come the night time
Gettin hungry
Hungry for my kind o woman
Im gettin hungry
Soon I gotta find me a woman
Im gettin hungry
Searchin for a pretty girl
But I still get up in the mornin
Though its so hard all day long
If it werent for the love of a woman
I dont think Id continue on
And oooohhhhh come the night time
Gettin hungry
Hungry for my kind o woman
Im gettin hungry
Soon I gotta find me a woman
Im gettin hungry
Searchin for a pretty girl
Im gettin hungry
Hungry for my kind of woman
Hungry
Hungry for my kind o woman
Im gettin hungry
Soon I gotta find me a woman
Im gettin hungry
Searchin for a pretty girl

I'm Not Going Hungry
I'm not going hungry anymore
Your sweet love's what I've been hungry for
But since we locked our hearts together now my table set forever
I'm not going hungry anymore.
Happiness is where you are and that's all I need to know
I'm gonna plant a tree of love and just sit back and watch it grow
I'm giving loving everything I've got I'm striking while the iron is hot
I'm not going hungry anymore.
I'm giving loving everything I've got I'm striking while the iron is hot
I'm not going hungry anymore
I'm not going hungry anymore.

I had been hungry all the years
I had been hungry all the years-
My noon had come, to dine-
I, trembling, drew the table near
And touched the curious wine.
'T was this on tables I had seen
When turning, hungry, lone,
I looked in windows, for the wealth
I could not hope to own.
I did not know the ample bread,
'T was so unlike the crumb
The birds and I had often shared
In Nature's dining-room.
The plenty hurt me, 't was so new,--
Myself felt ill and odd,
As berry of a mountain bush
Transplanted to the road.
Nor was I hungry; so I found
That hunger was a way
Of persons outside windows,
The entering takes away.
