On The Hunt (Abcedarian)
A big cat darts energetically forward,
growls hungry, ignores juicy kangaroos,
lengthens mighty necessary obscure paces,
quietly rushes sneaking towards uncommon,
velvet, whinnying, zealous, yawning zebras.

The Panther
His vision, from the constantly passing bars,
has grown so weary that it cannot hold
anything else. It seems to him there are
a thousand bars; and behind the bars, no world.
As he paces in cramped circles, over and over,
the movement of his powerful soft strides
is like a ritual dance around a center
in which a mighty will stands paralyzed.
Only at times, the curtain of the pupils
lifts, quietly--. An image enters in,
rushes down through the tensed, arrested muscles,
plunges into the heart and is gone.

The Cheetah [2]
In the veldt were impalas, some oribi
and kudus roam around wild
a cheetah sneaks forward merciless
without even the zebras noticing
and when they rush away bewildered at speed,
when a cloud of dust rise in their mad run
it's as if his feet get wings
as if he rushes forward much faster
and suddenly catches up with a animal that he has chosen,
drags it down to the ground
and then the jaws of the hunter close like steel
while the other game mill around in a hundred fold.

When we are sick, we want an uncommon doctor; when we have a construction job to do, we want an uncommon engineer, and when we are at war, we want an uncommon general. It is only when we get into politics that we are satisfied with the common man.

It is a curious fact that when we get sick we want an uncommon doctor... When we get into a war, we dreadfully want an uncommon admiral and an uncommon general. Only when we get into politics are we content with the common man.

Avoid The Light
growls
Modern day plague
Stronger than any and every
Virus, disease, or sickness
/growls
For a glimpse of ideology.
Anti-christian and eternally alive
growls undead /sings
Buried underneath two thousand years
growls Of histories /growls
Yet able to rise,
Instinctively arise
half growl
Avoid the light, the suns in sight
The undead should be sleeping
Avoid the light, and cross upright
My fledgling's dropping, weeping
Avoid the light, avert your sight
Go underground discretely
(x4) Avoid the light
/half growl
growls
True and purely horror
Man's ultimate enemy and predator
wrapped into one
/growls
Spread black wings of damnation
Then folding into shape a mortal men
growls not slaved /growls
Plasmicumber will over-ride
growls the true emotion /growls
That peering virgin to guard my callused grave
half growl
Avoid the light, the suns in sight
The undead should be sleeping
Avoid the light, and cross upright
My fledgling's dropping, weeping
Avoid the light, avert your sight
Go underground discretely
Alone, unseen, reborn, received
/half growl
It's a battle of wills
Ingloriously killed
growls we shall devour /growls
half growl
Avoid the light, the suns in sight
The undead should be sleeping
Avoid the light, and cross upright
My fledgling's dropping, weeping
Avoid the light, avert your sight
Go underground discretely

Obscure
How obscure
To heal a heart full of hatred
Through the light of forgiveness...
How obscure
To cure blindness
Through the light of open-mindedness...
How obscure
To cure deafness
Through the light of consciousness...
How obscure
To cure dumbness
Through the light of intelligence...
How obscure...
To heal a hand of hostility
Through the light of kindness...
How obscure
To cure a paralytic
Through the light of liberty...
How obscure
To cure sickness
Through the light of benevolence...
How obscure to understand
To heal physicality
Through the presence of spirituality

Velvet Elvis
My life, it used to be incomplete
till I saw what I was looking for at a drive-in swap meet
My life it wont be the same again
Now Im proud to say the king lives on inside my den
Oh, its all I live for, its all I need
My velvet elvis
My velvet elvis
My velvet elvis means the world to me
Although he may not be worth much dough
He means much more to me than some old rembrandt or van gogh
Check out those sideburns, theres nothing greater
You can tell that hes no velvet elvis imitator
Oh, its all I live for, its all I need
My velvet elvis
My velvet elvis
My velvet elvis
Oh, now you cant you see
My velvet elvis
My velvet elvis
My velvet elvis means the world to me
In my own private graceland
In my own little shrine to the king
I dont want nothin else
No, I dont need anything
Dont need no lava lamp
Dont need no soap on a rope
No pictures of mexican kids with those really big eyes
Or dogs playing poker
When Im at home watching my tv
I know the king is always looking down on me
He looks so handsome, he stands so tall
So glad hes big enough to cover up that hole in the wall
(velvet elvis) hes so fuzzy
(velvet elvis) hes so great
(velvet elvis) never ages
(velvet elvis) never puts on weight
(velvet elvis) look at those rhinestones
(velvet elvis) hes just so fine
(velvet elvis) you can look but dont touch now
(velvet elvis) cause hes mine all mine

The Red Bird Lives
A red bird lands to rest
Upon a tree branch.
The red bird chirps
For his sibling,
The cat takes notice, quietly
It watches his prey,
The cat figure it had his
Dinner..
Slowly the cat takes aim
And leaps for the red bird.
The red bird takes flight to
To join his sibling.
The cats loses,
But the red bird lives to chirp
Chirp another day..
The cat meow while his stomach
Growls,
The cat watches for another
Chance to feed his hungry
Stomach..
So, the cat meows hoping
For a meal,
To cure his empty stomach..

The Lions Share
[ music: natalie merchant & dennis drew/words: natalie merchant ]
Can I be unhappy?
Look at what I see: a beast in furs and crowned in luxury.
Hes a wealthy man in the poorest land, a self-appointed king,
And theres no complaining while hes reigning.
The lambs are bare of fleece and cold; the lion has stolen that, Im told.
There must be some creature mighty as you are.
The lambs go hungry (not fair), the biggest portion is the lions share.
There must be some creature mighty as you are.
Can I be unhappy?
Listen and agree, no words can shame him or tame him.
The lambs are bare of fleece and cold; the lion has stolen that, Im told.
There must be some creature mighty as you are.
The lambs go hungry (not fair), the biggest portion is the lions share.
There must be some creature mighty as you are, as you are.
Razor claws in velvet paws, you dunce in your guarded home,
til a stronger beast will call on you and pounce upon your throne.
Do we pay? dearly, for the lion takes so greedily
And he knows that what hes taken, it is ours.
Thats how the wealths divided among the lambs and king of the beasts, it is so one-sided.
Until the lamb is king of the beasts we live so one-sided.

I am an old Turkey bird
Month of November yawning
And wait for the thanksgiving
An expression of gratitude!
God knows that I am good for nothing
Even the twitcher ignores this godforsaken.
And I have a small request from partakers,
If you don't cook at least keep me under the table
As a partner then I can tell my friends that I have already participated!

Animals In People
Children in the playground playing on the swings being like a monkey. As the monkey is swinging in and out of the trees as the wind pass him by.
Baby in the pram sleeping quietly a bit like a mouse. As the mouse is sneaking quietly past the hopeful looking cat that is looking on for coming mice.
Adult sat down talking very loud a bit like a hyena. The hyena has catches it prey and is laughing very loud at it pry trying to any thing to get out.
Teenager sat down quietly keeping their eye on the little ones a bit like a bird. The bird is watching for any trouble that might come passed.
As the world turns people change. People grow up. Deep in side of us we have an animal that grow with our feelings or what we could do. What kind of animal do you think you are today?

August 1968
It’s spring and people
are dancing in the streets in Czechoslovakia
and in Prague people are free.
Until the gigantic Russian bear growls
and beats its chest
and rushes in for the kill
and gobbles up
everything and everyone
that it find in its way
and still stays a monster,
without any sense
of being more
than an ignorant bloodthirsty beast.

She'd Love To Live In Africa
She'd love to live in Africa in the land of the Maasai
And with the tribal people dance under the moonlit sky
The rhythmic drummer beats his drum and the dancers rock and sway
She'd love to live in Africa twelve thousand miles away.
The hungry male lions cough and roar in the African night
And the sounds of galloping hooves and zebras whinnying in fright
And the elephants are trumpeting and the the wild hyaenas
scream
And to live in distant Africa has always been her dream.
She's never been to Africa but she can visualize
The fish eagles are circling o'er the lake she hear their cries
And a flock of beautiful flamingos of ten thousands birds or more
Are feeding in the shallows just in from the lake shore.
All documentaries on Africa she watches on T.V.
And she'd love to live in that great Land amongst the wild and free
But time is running out on her she now is sixty two
And her dream of life in Africa for her may not come true.
Her brain urge her to walk and jog but her legs will not obey
And she won't be going to Africa twelve thousand miles away
A long time paraplegic she sits in her wheel chair
And she dreams of distant Africa 'doesn't life seem so unfair'.

Curtain Of Dreams
Curtains closed
but light sneaking through
shining it's thoughts
all over you
A new day is dawning
a new baby is yawning
your own thoughts
are calling
Listen to what they say
don't sit like this everyday
listen to your thoughts
they'll make your dreams
come true

Love On Top Of Love
Yeah!!
If I had two lips,
I could give you that killer kiss,
And make a smack on your leg,
Make you forget about everything else,
But I dont need no extra help,
Im already too much for one man,
In love, you love, and love,
Love to be loved over and over again.
Ill give you soothe cooling action,
Juicy lipped passion,
Im what you want,
Im what you need,
That sexy looking mouth is me,
If you want to give a kiss,
Come and get it, come get my love on top of love,
Ive got what you need and more,
More than you bargained for ,
Come get my love on top of love,
Yeah! uh huh, love.
Its ten oclock,
Time for the second shift,
Another man, another love, another kiss,
Im talking about jungle love,
Tastes like cherries (after) paradise,
Im mean a cooler passion,
My killer kiss, hot as ice,
The green-eyed stranger, time for a wager,
Im what you want, Im what you need,
That sexy looking pout is me.
If you want to give a kiss, come and get it,
Come get my love on top of love,
Ive got what need and more,
More than you bargained for
Come get my love on top of love!
Yeah! (10x -at intervals).
Soothe cooling action,
Juicy lipped passion,
Im what you want, Im what you need,
That juicy looking mouth is me,
Im what you want, Im what you need ,
That juicy looking mouth is me.
Soothe cooling action,
Juicy lipped passion,
Im what you, Im what you need,
That juicy looking mouth is me,
Im what you want, Im what you need,
That juicy sexy mouth is me,
If you want to give a kiss, come and get it,
Come get my love on top of love.
More!...yeah!...on top of love...come and get it,
Come get it juicy lips,( me -x5),
Juicy, cat love, lips, me, me,
Juicy,lips, me, me, love,a kiss,
A juicy ,lips, love a kiss, juicy...

I Need Not More!
i was born
of the wind and rain,
conceived by storm,
nursed by its path.
i hear the flute
that time ignores.
i dance in the smallness
of the tiny bud.
i pray like thunder
to a god that growls.
i wait in the silence
of the aftermath.
filled with the joy of survival,
and the weeping
of the mortal lost!
i am alive!
i celebrate the living.
i console the dead
with remembered moments.
i am nothing,
neither claim nor grasp.
born of the wind and rain,
i need not more!

The uncommon to be common
There are exceptions to rules.
When exceptions exceeds in use,
Rules relegate to exceptions
And exceptions stay as rules.
The uncommon one frequenting,
The common one is replaced
By the uncommon to be common.
Marriage is soon to be uncommon.

Another Piece of Juicy Meat to Satisfy Me!
Don't fiddle with my love,
Or heartstrings.
To pluck them to get heated.
Then to walk out on a chemistry...
Just to get some empathy.
If you leave me with a final sting...
I could not forgive or forget,
Who did the giving.
And who will not be getting it!
I'm about to make up my mind...
I can get another to appreciate me!
I'm about to go out and find...
Another piece of juicy meat I know I'll love to eat!
A piece of juicy meat that's not a big tease.
Don't fiddle with my love,
Or heartstrings.
To pluck them to get heated.
Then to walk out on a chemistry!
Don't fiddle with my love,
Or heartstrings.
Just to get some empathy.
You wont get that not from me!
If you leave me with a final sting...
I could not forgive or forget,
Who did the giving.
And who will not be getting it!
I'm about to make up my mind...
I can get another to appreciate me!
I'm about to go and find...
Another piece of juicy meat to please all my needs!
Another piece of juicy meat to please all my needs!
Another piece of juicy meat to satisfy me!
Don'tcha know,
I'm about to make up my mind...
I can get another to appreciate me!
I'm about to go and find...
Another piece of juicy meat to please all my needs!
Another piece of juicy meat to please all my needs!
Another piece of juicy meat to satisfy me!
I'm about to make up my mind...
I can get another knowing,
What appreciation means!
I'm about to make up my mind...
I can get another to appreciate me!
Another piece of juicy meat to please all my needs!
Another piece of juicy meat to please all my needs!
Another piece of juicy meat to satisfy me!
Another piece of juicy meat to give up my seed.
