I know that I have never have been as alone [2]
I know that I have
never have been as alone
as at the Strand
that December holiday.
People in love
smiled at each other
everywhere that I looked,
some walked hand in hand,
some sunbathed together,
some splashed into the sea
but there was no you and I
and on that day
my heart was breaking
and I sat on my own
gazing at the deep blue
when a shadow fell on my face.
The sun made her blonde hair gold
and the smile on her face
was innocent and pure
and somewhere in the blue of her eyes
I saw my own pain
and she sat down next to me wordless.
That same morning before I took
the train to the beach
I prayed for someone to understand
and felt so lost from life
and hopeless as if never again
I would make a impression
on somebody beautiful
and she said that tomorrow
will be another day
and that in time
the pain would go
and that girl was really sweet,
we shared some ice cream,
acted as though were in love
and somehow everything felt right
and I never saw that girl again.

Her Beautiful Face
' HER BEAUTIFUL FACE'
The first time that he saw her it was her beautiful face,
He fell in love at first glance though he was very young
He spoke to her and found out that she was beautiful within,
A friend he had made for life with that beautiful face,
So slim and innocent the girl with the beautiful face,
She gave him three wonderful children the girl with the beautiful face,
As years went on she became the sole love of his life,
A wonderful Mother was the girl with the beautiful face,
Grandchildren were so deserved for the girl with the beautiful face,
As he took his last few breaths in life, the last thing he saw was her oh so beautiful face.

Joy & Pain
Heaven aint your place girl , not now anyways
And in this hell yeah yeah , you cant erase
All of the pain , that youve been given
That aint the reason yeah , that youve been driven
Watch the hand as its movin ,
24 times around
Every seconds like a minute ,
Till youre back on the ground
Ive felt joy and Ive felt pain (girl Im sorry)
Ive felt joy and Ive felt pain (girl Im sorry)
Ive felt joy and Ive felt pain (girl Im sorry)
But I know Im gonna see you again
Girl we had our chances , we knew from the start
That we could take heaven yeah and tear it apart tear it apart
You gotta take a chance girl , you gotta lead me by the hand
And turn this wild one , into a family man..come on
Many miles been between us since I walked away
Girl Im sorry what I did to you , this time Im here to stay
Ive felt joy and Ive felt pain (girl Im sorry)
Ive felt joy and Ive felt pain (girl Im sorry)
Ive felt joy and Ive felt pain (girl Im sorry)
But I know baby Im gonna see you again
But I know yeah
Ive felt pain Ive felt joy yeah
Heaven aint your place girl , not now anyways
And in this hell yeah yeah , you cant erase
All of the pain , that youve been given
That aint the reason yeah , that youve been driven
Watch the hand as its movin ,
24 times around
Every seconds like a minute ,
Till youre back on the ground
Ive felt joy and Ive felt pain (and the girls say)
Ive felt joy and Ive felt pain (and the girls say)
Ive felt joy and Ive felt pain (girl Im sorry)
Ive felt joy and Ive felt pain (girl Im sorry [x3])
But I know Im gonna see you again

In The Swimming Pool In The Park
Your sister called her
the girl in the red beret
and there she was
in the outdoor
swimming pool
in the park
her gran sitting
in the stands knitting
and Janice saw you
and said
Fancy seeing you here
can you swim?
You stood
in the shallow end
of the pool
in your blue trunks
looking at her wet fair hair
clinging to her body
and her eyes bright
in the sun's afternoon light
No not so far
you replied
I can
she said shaking water
from her hair and head
I can swim the length
and back almost
you looked over
at Jimmy in the pool
talking to friends
she touched your hand
and said
I can show you
how to swim
and she smiled
and you felt her hand
on yours and hoped
Jimmy wasn't looking
seeing her touch you
Maybe another time
you said
pulling your hand away
and plunging it
into the water
I've got to go
you said
my friends
are waiting for me
and she looked at you
her eyes now sad
and she said softly
No stay with me
I like it
when you are near me
and she stood there
in her pink swimsuit
her hair sticking
to her face
her eyes watery and blue
and gazing hopefully
(the noise and laughter
from the pool
momentarily shut off)
at seven year old you.

Oklahoma-Texas Line
Got an old dog, it don't like me much
That thing starts to bark his head off every time we touch
Sittin' on the porch listenin' to the radio
We sing every single song we know
Even the ones we don't
When she moves a little closer
She puts her hand in mine
Oh what I wouldn't give to stop the hands of time
She's got long blonde hair and deep blue eyes
I got all I ever need when at girl is by my side
Everything I love is there inside
A little brick house on the Oklahoma-Texas Line
She's got a part time job at the Tastee-freeze
She took the weekend off to spend a little bit of time with me
I got an old car we drove to the edge of town
We stopped by Old Man Millers' farm
Just to watch the world spin around
And she moves a little closer
She puts her lips to mine
Ain't funny how the good Lord out does himself sometimes
She's got long blonde hair and deep blue eyes
I got all I ever need when at girl is by my side
Everything I love is there inside
A little brick house on the Oklahoma-Texas Line
Everything I love is there inside
A little brick house with a black top drive
Big oak tree with our names carved on the side
She's got long blonde hair and deep blue eyes
I got all I ever need when at girl is by my side
Everything I love is there inside
A little brick house, little brick house on the Oklahoma-Texas Line
Oh here they come
Long blonde hair and deep blue eyes
Everything I love...

Finding Ashley
There was a girl that I knew well,
And where she went I can not tell,
A bright face and humor great,
I loved her every trait,
Though I paid her no attention,
I’d buy her back at any pention,
I’ve looked for her everywhere,
That eight year old without a care,
Now I’m lonely and going astray,
I guess she felt hated and just ran away,
Someone said they saw her grin, from
Somewhere deep within,
Then I new,
What I had to do,
And through my tears and all of my fears,
I stood the storm of life,
Even through the pain and strife,
And when I looked at my reflection,
I saw that girl and her effection,
It was hard but now I see,
That blond haired blue eyed girl was me,
Spirit Broken but not gone,
I had another chance to make her strong,
Even if the journey is long,
We are friends until the end,
And she is not the same,
Now I’ve given her a name,
Still a girl shining like a pearl,
I love her,
And she loves me,
And together we make Ashley

Good Morning Girl
Good morning girl, how you been?
Good morning girl, is love within?
I see your face every where.
I see your smile your golden hair.
I see your eyes shinin through.
Those gentle eyes silver blue.
Good morning girl, how you been?
Good morning girl, is love within?
Good morning girl, its been long.
Good morning girl, to you this song.
I sing it girl from the heart.
Ill sing it girl from the start.
Good morning girl, how you been?
Good morning girl is love within?

This Isn't Everything You Are
He walked into a drugstore that day
He took a bullet and saved a girl
Not for heroic reasons
But to end his journey
His mum held his feet and prayed
with a hundred teardrops
Two thousand hands of a thousand angels
Performed CPR and with four thousand teardrops
Warmed his frozen body
God sits, turns his face and sheds a dropp or two
He lies alone in pitch darkness
The going had been tough
And he chose to get going
He dug a hole, lay and covered himself
Grace felt fat and took a stroll that day
He walked and smiled
Stepping on a heap of sand, he felt pain
Stooped and moved the sand
Turned his face and stared the turned teary face
Face to face they stared
The angels keep at it and look to God and grace
'There's joy not far from here', the angels echoed
He'd strayed, mum prayed, angels stayed
God came, breathed in him
Whispered and said, 'this isn't everything you are'
His heart beat, his mum smiled
Angels cried, God tried
To show him, all he was made to be
He cried, angels smiled
You are more than what you've been through
You are more than what you are today
And hope, though not bankable
Is the thread of life
And if you ever feel like walking away from it all
Keep this in mind:
THIS ISN'T EVERYTHING YOU ARE.

Her Hand in Mine
She was a television star
And famed across the land.
Her beauty made me shout, 'Hoorah! ',
As most would understand.
I recognised her standing there,
Within that High Street store,
As if the answer to my prayer,
My dream girl, that's for sure...
Why she worked there, I couldn't say,
Perhaps her fortune changed...
Yet she looked happy in a way,
As she, some clothes arranged...
When I approached, confessing love,
At first, she merely smiled,
As if as gentle as a dove,
With me, her slave, beguiled...
'Please walk with me...' and she agreed.
We left there side-by-side,
Then suddenly I felt the need
That true love cannot hide...
'I want to hold your hand! ' I said,
To my new Valentine.
As if all shyness from her fled,
She raised her hand to mine.
It felt so warm, her arm did, too,
That's why I stroked her skin
And while it felt so strange to do,
She stood there with a grin...
It was as if she realised,
True love cannot conceal
Emotions if so highly prized,
So precious, new and real...
And so we walked, as if alone,
Nobody else in sight,
No longer walking on our own,
While love was at its height.
Of course, I woke, as morning came,
My dream girl to depart...
Yet I will never be the same,
Nor will my thankful heart...

When tommorow begins without me
When tomorrow begins the new day,
I will not be here for you to see.
Please dont let the sun rise
and see the tears you shed for me.
I don't want you to cry for me like you did today.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry.
The way you did today,
I know how much you loved me,
And I loved you all too.
And of corse I understand that you'll miss me.
I will miss you too but your all in my heart.
But now when tomorrow begins without me,
Please try to find it in your heart understand.
Gods angels called my name,
They reached out a hand to me and said it's time to go.
And So I took theire hand.
My place was ready in heaven above.
I cried tears as I lert you all behind.
But you'll be coming with me in my heart.
But as I turned to walk away a tear fell from my eye.
For all my lifeI wanted to the fight todie.
In the end I felt there wasn't much left for me.
And yet I wanted one more day.
I wanted to say my goodbyes but is the one thing I couldn't do.
But then I f realised this could never be.
For you would have stopped me even though my time had come.
And when I thought of you all left behind.
My heart was filled with guilt sorrow.
But as I walked through heaven's gates,
I felt peace and harmony.
When God looked at me and smiled at me,
He said Amy this is eternity.
Here you can start afresh.
I promise you no tomorrows only today.
Your life on earth is now your past.
Here you don't have to worry about your past.
God said to me Amy come take my hand.
And it was then I finally began to understand.
God had choosen my pain to end.
So when tomorrow begins without me,
Please know we are not apart,
We live on in each others hearts

Hear Me Out
Im sorry, baby. I didnt mean to do what I did.
I mean, it just happened so fast, you know?
I woke up out of the situation.
And I was like, mike, you dont even need to go out like this.
And thats why Im calling you, you know?
Just listen to me.
Hear me out, girl. hear me out, girl.
My apologies for breaking your heart.
Hear me out, girl. hear me out, girl.
My apologies for breaking your heart.
Ooh, at home all alone thinking to my self
What a fool I was for letting you go (letting you go).
If I could re-wind the hands of time,
Id take back every word that made you cry (dont cry).
I know I acted kind of crazy (I know I acted kind of crazy).
I need you now to understand me (please understand me).
Hear me out, girl. hear me out, girl.
My apologies for breaking your heart.
Hear me out, girl. hear me out, girl.
My apologies for breaking your heart.
Well, now is the time for us to realize how much we mean to each other, girl (to each other, girl).
Just dont walk away. thats much too easy.
Im begging you to stay (stay).
I know I acted kind of crazy (I know I acted kind of crazy).
I need you now to understand me (please understand me).
Hear me out, girl. hear me out, girl.
My apologies for breaking your heart. (you know Ill get down on my knees and say...)
Hear me out, girl. hear me out, girl.
My apologies for breaking your heart...

Visualize
Q.t.s solo
Written by michael cuccione & russell marsland
Sometimes we must live through darkness
In order to see the light,
We must visualize.
Chorus
Close your eyes.
Visualize.
The most beautiful girl there could be.
Just one sign.
Mesmorize.
Its like gazing right into the sea.*
Floating down the street
She stands out like a candlelight.
When I look in her eyes,
I know not having sight**
Couldnt change this feelin
So I walked towards her
With this vision in my mind**{? }
With a hand on my face
And a smile on hers
I softly say goodnight.
Chorus
I never dreamt of one who possessed
This gift of gold (gift of gold)
She sees beyond through the darkest clouds
She knows my soul
Will she be my girl
Is she of this world?
Will I ever know?
When the time is right
She will be my light**
She is my angel
Chorus
With a touch of the sand
From a far away land
Gazing at perfection
In the palm of my hand
A touch from her face
That far away place
Theres no one above her,
Her spirit and grace.
Repeat chorus until end
**
Yeah Im walking through the misty air.
In my mind, my baby is there.
Having you in my life is my only care.
So beautiful that we can dream.

Beautiful Girl
Beautiful girl
You're not like this world
There's no pain or loss
To be found in your eyes
Chorus:
Beautiful girl
So innocent and naive
You're not aware
That you shouldn't always believe
Beautiful girl
You're like a little, lost pearl
So precious and pure
And so very rare
Chorus:
Beautiful girl
So innocent and naive
You're not aware
That you shouldn't always believe
Beautiful girl
You're trying to find your place in this world
You don't think you ever will
But I believe in you
Chorus:
Beautiful girl
So innocent and naive
You're not aware
That you shouldn't always believe
Bridge:
Beautiful girl
You're now in a whirl
You tried all the things
That you were told to
And you've realized
That they were all lies
It didn't make you feel good
Like they promised it would
Alt. Chorus
Beautiful girl
You're no longer innocent or naive
You've given up on everyone
Cause you don't know who to believe
Beautiful girl
You've got so much potential
Don't let those mistakes get you down
You're better than that
I know it for a fact
Beautiful girl
You no longer want to be a part of that world
You gave your heart away to it
And now you have to try to get it back bit by bit

Supergirl, Remember Me?
The first time we met, she stood before me,
She spoke just as I was looking,
Not knowing her before that time.
She was suddenly so close to me,
There and merely a few feet from me,
Her face deserving more fascination,
As my mind took in her every word.
I hadn't heard the first words at all,
My eyes taking in her super beauty...
The twisting curling waterfalls,
Her precious cascading golden hair...
Her blue eyes looking straight at me,
As if I held some importance to her...
Her sweet lips moved quite quickly,
Her words bombarded my ears,
Suddenly my mind understood...
And I asked her, 'Please start over...'
She looked confused at that request,
But I explained how she affected me,
She smiled at my honest compliment,
Yet she needed some information...
How strange that my answer was so easy,
I could have told her in seconds,
But then she'd say farewell and be gone,
Thus not fitting love's purpose...
I asked if I told her, would I see her again?
Would she soon return to talk once more?
Or would she never return, leaving me,
Forever like this, being affected by her...
'Tell me what I need to know...' she said,
'I will return to you soon, right here...
We can talk! ' she promised, with a smile,
A smile that took my breath away...
In seconds, being told, she left me, lonely...
I waited there as the hours passed...
Returning each day with a rose bouquet
Of red, yellow and blue roses for her.
Days passed, then I saw her flying overhead.
'Supergirl, remember me? ' I shouted to her...
In a heartbeat, she stood beside me...
She kissed my lips, said, 'TOMORROW! '
Then she and the roses were gone...
Today has come... her promise kept...
She kissed me again, lifting me high...
Then clear across the pure blue sky...
Landing together, some private place...
Walking hand-in-hand upon that beach,
With me thinking it but a dream,
Yet too beautiful for a dream to be,
Because that's how it felt to me...
Love all consuming, engulfing,
Surrounding, swirling, revolving,
Involving every heightened sense,
Controlling every heartfelt hope...
I wondered if she felt that way
Upon this brilliant sunshine day,
That Supergirl could like me, too,
Maybe someday say, 'I love you! '
Undeserving of this Supergirl,
Yet somehow love returned...
What luck is this in all the world,
This joy I haven't earned?
She speaks of Krypton far away,
A distant world so grand...
Yet there she stands upon my left,
As we walk hand-in-hand...

Three Shadows
I LOOKED and saw your eyes
In the shadow of your hair,
As a traveller sees the stream
In the shadow of the wood;
And I said, “My faint heart sighs,
Ah me! to linger there,
To drink deep and to dream
In that sweet solitude.”
I looked and saw your heart
In the shadow of your eyes,
As a seeker sees the gold
In the shadow of the stream;
And I said, “Ah me! what art
Should win the immortal prize,
Whose want must make life cold
And Heaven a hollow dream?”
I looked and saw your love
In the shadow of your heart,
As a diver sees the pearl
In the shadow of the sea;
And I murmured, not above
My breath, but all apart,—
“Ah! you can love, true girl,
And is your love for me?”

Should I? Should I not?
Should I?
Should I not?
Kept me in lurch
I could not
Express
My love for her
Causing
Pain in my heart
I could not eat
I could no sleep
My life had changed
Face looked pale
My friends
Sensed some wrong
requested me
To share my grief
I revealed the truth
They insisted
I ask the question to
The girl I like
With all courage
Ultimately
I expressed
My love to her
She was overjoyed
Smile on lips
Shyness in eyes
She came near me
Took my hand
In her hands
With tears
In her blue eyes
Asked me
Why you kept me
Waiting so long?
All the time
I too kept on thinking
Should I?
Should I not?

Love Working On You
(jim collins/craig wiseman)
You woke up this morning
Changes were taking place
You looked in the mirror
A smile was all over your face
cause out of nowhere
Someone was there
Who dared to climb
Those walls you made
Its exciting, a little frightening
But girl dont you be afraid
Thats just the love working
Love working on you
Thats just the love working
Working on pulling you through
Cant even remember
All the sorrow that you left behind
Its a brand new day
Theres a bright new way
And your tears have turned into wine
You never forget
When your eyes met
Or just how clearly you could see
Where the turns are deep in your heart
That lead you to believe
Thats just the love working
Love working on you
Thats just the love working
Working on pulling you through
All of the while you felt forsaken
And all of the while
Loves been waiting, waiting
Suddenly you see how it could be
If we all only felt this way
And for a while girl you can see this world
Looking through the eyes of fate
Thats just the love working
Love working on you
Thats just the love working
Working on pulling you through
Thats just the love working
Love working on you
Thats just the love working
Working on pulling you through
Thats just the love working on you
Thats just the love working
Working on pulling you through

Girl Of Mine
(words & music by l. reed - b. mason)
When your asleep beside me, I watch you lying there
Your hand upon the pillow and moonlight in your hair
I get the warmest feeling, so good I almost cry
I kiss your sleeping lips and say Ill love you till I die
Oh girl of mine you make my day
One sunny smile and all the clouds just roll away
Eyes deep as the sea seem to say to me
Our love will always be
So girl of mine turn out the light
And in my arms together well make sweet love tonight
Down lifes golden road and youll always know
I love you ... girl of mine
Sometimes I know I hurt you when things aint goin right
I walk away and leave you to face the lonely night
I wouldnt blame you darlin if you walked out on me
But I return to find you there still waiting patiently
Oh girl of mine you make my day
One sunny smile and all the clouds just roll away
Eyes deep as the sea seem to say to me
Our love will always be
So girl of mine turn out the light
And in my arms together well make sweet love tonight
Down lifes golden road and youll always know
I love you ... girl of mine

Train Man
And over in the teacher's home she waited by the phone
For calls which never rang, and people who never sang
Train man rambled dusty into town and made his daily round
Train man and he comes in the night
brings her no love but he's right
Yes he's right
Through fog and misty morning dew, she'd seen his oily face
and he had touched her heart, taken it apart
Though he never stopped to speak a word his voice was all she heard
Train man and he comes in the night
brings her no love but he's right
Yes he's right
Little girl you're a pretty little girl
Won't you come with me a while
Little girl in your frilly little world
Won't you give me your sweet smile
(first solo)
If you come tonight bring someone
If you come tonight bring someone
Don't come alone
If you come alone don't come
Don't come
Don't come
(solo)
Yes i know he's right
Yes i know he's right
oh I know he's right
fade...
She held his hand and whispered soft
I love you train man
He just grumbled like engine as it rumbles
And said someday
Train man and he knows something's wrong and he's right
Oh yes he's right

The Summer Recess of 62.
It was the second day
of the summer recess
and Judith and you
walked through the field
behind her house
and sat down on the grass
the sky above blue
like an upside-down ocean
with the white clouds
like small fluffy islands
and she said
Mother doesn't trust you
why not?
you asked
she doesn't trust any male
she says they're all after
the one thing
you looked at her
sitting there beside you
her hair brown and curly
and her eyes blue
and bright
and you said
not all males
are the same
she looked up
at the sky
and said
I know but that's
how she sees things
my mother likes you
you said
she says you're good for me
keep me focused
she smiled
and lay back
on the grass
and you lay
beside her
and turned
to look at her there
taking in her profile
and she turned
to face you
and she said
does your mother
trust us to be together?
sure she does
you said
an airplane
went over the sky
a sparrow hawk
hovered above
its eyes watching
and waiting
you put your hand
on her hip
and she placed
her hand on yours
you felt her hipbone
beneath her green skirt
moved your palm
gently over and over
she moved your hand
off of her hip
and said
just in case
mother's looking at us
from the upstairs window
would she?
you asked
of course
she said
she held your hand
and took it
and laid it
on her breast
her heart
somewhere beating
your hand sensing
the softness beneath
the white blouse
and she said
just as well
she never saw us
last Christmas
and you smiled
and remembered
and the sparrow hawk
flew off through the sky
and the sound
of a distant train
and your heart thumping
like the downpour of rain.
