Ambulances
With screaming sirens
and flashing red lights
they cut right through traffic
and the white vehicles,
appear and disappear
at any time of day.
Where life flows away
with the passage of age
and time,
where destiny strikes
and robbers leave their mark,
cars join together in force
or illness impart
its impact on humanity
they rush
to bring a sense
of caring and hope.
White doors open and close
and some are helped
and in time
grow well again
and for others,
grey blankets are drawn
right over them
and in time coffin lids
are hammered shut.

Reverse the Sands of Time
If I could reverse the sands of time I wouldn't change anything
If I reverse the hands of time I wouldn't know what my heartbreak bring
Time is the reason why I know how much you mean to me
Time is the reason why my eyes are open wide so now I can see
I wouldn't change time I would learn & embrace what's forthcoming
Time make me evolve it make me grow It keep me always running
Sometime it's forms into the wind & hit me in every direction
Time is a force it's like a hurricane it's a volcano eruption
To reverse the sands of time I wouldn't know the joys of life
The time we share to see our kids grow hold you tight my wife
See the sun rise hold each and wait for its set
To be there sharing the grandchildren we haven't had yet
Regret my life? Would I reverse the sands of time?
Never because those time we share will always be mind

No Time To Think
No time to think, no time for dreams
No time for anything it seems.
No time to stop, no time to waste,
No time for anything but haste.
No time to wonder at the snow,
No time to watch our children grow.
But time enough to race about
And time enough to scream and shout.
And time enough to rush, rush, rush,
And time enough to push, push, push.
But no time to care or to smile,
No time to ramble for a while.
No time to sit, no time time to stand,
No time to shake you by the hand.
No time to stop, no time to blink
But most of all no time to think

Feel Flows
Unfolding enveloping missiles of soul
Recall senses sadly
Mirage like soft blue like lanterns below
To light the way gladly
Whether whistling heavens clouds disappear
Where the wind withers memory
Whether whiteness whisks soft shadows away
Feel flows (white hot glistening shadowy flows)
Feel goes (black hot glistening shadowy flows)
Unbending never ending tablets of time
Record all the yearning
Unfearing all appearing message divine
Eases the burning
Whether willing witness waits at my mind
Whether hope dampens memory
Whether wondrous will stands tall at my side
Feel flows (white hot glistening shadowy flows)
Feel goes (black hot glistening shadowy flows)
Encasing all embracing wreath of repose
Engulfs all the senses
Imposing, unclosing thoughts that compose
Retire the fences
Whether wholly heartened life fades away
Whether harps heal the memory
Whether wholly heartened life fades away
Whether wondrous will stands tall at my side
Whether whiteness whisks soft shadows away
Feel goes (white hot glistening shadowy flows)
Feel flows (black hot glistening shadowy flows)
Feel goes (white hot glistening shadowy flows)
Feelings to grow (white hot glistening shadowy flows)
White hot glistening shadowy flows
White hot glistening shadowy flows
White hot glistening shadowy flows

Night was coming
Night was coming
with a piercing huge orange sun
breaking through
white and black clouds
in the west.
It found a gap
and the sun was hanging
like a orange ball
above the street
and it was blinding.
Cars passed barely visible
above the orange glare
and some had already
turned their lights on.
The sun dipped down
below some trees
and for a time
it glowed behind them
and soon it would be dark
and the first stars
were already appearing
and a full yellow moon
was rising,
but below bright lights
was already burning
right across the city
in colours of amber
streetlights
green, yellow and red
traffic lights,
blue lights flashing
on police cars
and almost every bright colour
caught on neon signs
while people came and went
to different destinations
some smiling and relaxed,
others in a hurry
and some others
locked in a world of their own.

Time flows
Time, time just flows
Fills your heart with, highes and lows
Time, time just flows
Shows you birds, the dogs and the crows
You try to stop it
Try to block it
But you can't go
You try to turn it
Try to burn it
But you can not go
Time, time just flows
Takes your name and makes you history heroes
Time, time just flows
Pulls you around, streaches and throws with blows
You try to harm it
Try to charm it
But you can't go
You try to kill it
Try to fill it
But you can not go
This is the time you go around
This is the time you hear the sound
This is the time you run and win
This is the time you find your kin
Just go
Oh! just go
Time it just flows

Time in Hell
I float in time with open mind...
A quest; a chance of riddled thought:
Infinity squared, then seek to find
An answer; pained and overwrought,
I dodder with an addled head;
Befuddled, merging with a haze of
Mysticism, then to tread
A metaphoric swamp – a maze
Of existentialism…
But now for time to tick in rhyme
With ‘tock’ – a clock to tell thro’ chime
Precisely on the knell
That as I dared to understand,
I must be deep in Hell…

Time
Time, time
Time, time, time, time
Ticking time, timing time
Time and time and time in time is time
for time in Hell is time and time for time, is time
Oh time is time, time, time, ticking time in Hell
Ticking time, timing time
Time, time, time, time
Time time

Starry Skies
Winter nights are cold,
And you're feeling old,
Stuck under the overpass,
You just can't get past,
Life wastes away,
As you go grey,
Future looking bleak,
As you try to stay meek,
What is the point of all this,
You should try to find your bliss!
You're stuck in your cars,
While I'm looking at the stars,
You're in a traffic jam,
While I'm being a man,
Too alive to contrive,
The lie that you're alive,
Wake up and breathe,
It's almost time to leave,
What should you seek?
Is there time for us to meet?
What could I say to you?
If only my heart knew!
Sitting in a distant land,
Trying to look grand,
Feeling real sad,
Sometimes I make you mad!
Stuck in your cars, I'm looking at the stars,
In a traffic jam while I'm being a man,
Too alive to contrive, the lie that you're alive,
Wake up and breathe, it's time to leave,
Taillights blink and you turn to drink,
Future is escaping as quick as a wink,
Living to fight another day,
I don't like to see you this way,
Don't want to leave things like this,
It is you that I will always miss,
Time to be alive and love each other,
Wish we could be friends again, brother,
So it is peace that I wish for you that struggle,
Trying so hard to keep it together,
Maybe we are meant to find our own path,
What will we find in the aftermath?
On your chest they will leave a scar,
Then I'll see you on a distant star!

Stop Your Complaining
Come here and listen!
You can pretend to ignore.
But leave your ears open.
Close your mouth.
Those eyes?
You can roll them as before.
It 'may' look as if doors are being shut.
But they aren't,
Not at all!
Those opportunities,
That once knocked at them?
Are in your mind...
Where you have kept them stored!
That's where they have always been.
You were the one to let them out!
And you will bring them back in,
Again!
So don't believe what is being locked out,
Means for your tears to descend.
Those doors needed to close on you,
Anyway!
To allow greater things for you to happen!
Now is the time to test your faith!
Not to wallow in despair,
And welcome heartbreak!
Snap out of limitations.
Explore new avenues you can take!
At least stop your complaining.
A difference only you can make!

A Long Time Ago
Sitting here , all alone
Wondering what to do
Life went faster than the time
I had to achieve the things I had in mind
Their disguise , I see with my eyes
Many things I should have realized
A long time ago , long long time ago
Never changing , ever aging
It drags from day to day
I wish that I had found myself
Before it robbed me of the time
Oh no , oh no
I should have realized
A long long time ago
A long time ago
A long time ago
(break)
Seeing things , open doors
People invited me into
Oh they were so good to me
And always helped me on my way
Then I woke from this dream
Known that I should have realized
A long time ago
Long long time ago
Another day , another way
I dont care what people say
No , I realize that theres no other way for me
Suppose Ill just have to live from day to day
Oh no , oh no
I should have realized
A long long time ago
A long time ago
A long time ago

Same Place, Same Time
Same place, same time
Same place, same time
Same place, same time
Same place, same time
The coffee’s hot
And the company is good
Conversation flows, as it should
A joke or two
And when all is said and done
We’re right back to where we begun
Same place, same time
Same place, same time
Same place, same time
Same place, same time
These crowded streets
I balance tight roped on the curb
Car screeches past, a scream is heard
De ja vu
Yes I’ve been here before
Time moves slowly as traffic stalls
Same place, same time
Same place, same time
Same place, same time
Same place, same time
Break
It was good
You were sublime
I’m so glad that we spent the time
Time is short
What we have is rare
Love is oxygen with you there
Same place, same time
Same place, same time
Same place, same time
Same place, same time

Hope against hope
Hope against all hope
That times will change
A word lingers
In time and place
Softly spoken
Memories bring joy
Memories bring tears
Hope against hope
That love will grow
From the embers
A single spark
Lights the fire again
Memories bring joy
Memories bring tears
Hope against hope
Time will soften
A hardened heart
A fractured mind
Bring peace to soul
Memories bring joy
Memories bring tears
Hope against hope
That this is a dream
I will wake soon
Covered in sweat
Breathing once again
Memories bring joy
Memories bring tears
Hope against hope
That tomorrow is different
Today didn't happen
But it did
Can't change today
Memories bring tears
The Underground Carpark
This place is the darkest of dark and the blackest of black
as I look all around after just reversing back.
I parked here because it’s usually a secure well lit car park,
but the lights are off and I’m in the dark.
I’ll switch off my lights I don’t want to cause undue attention down here,
and I’ll just sit back and wait for the ceiling lights to reappear.
I’ve been waiting for a good fifteen minutes and still there’s no light,
isn’t it odd how these things always happen at night.
With my window half open I can hear unusual noises that I haven’t heard before.
Now I can hear something heavy being dragged along the floor.
How can the makers of these noises see what they are doing in the dark?
It’s certainly unnerving; I wish more vehicles would enter the car park,
I feel tempted to turn on all my car’s lights and the main beam,
but that would show my whereabouts, and allow me to be seen.
I think that I had better shut my window and secure all the doors
I don’t want to end up being dragged across the floor.
I’ll just try and stay calm by taking deep breaths, and closing my eyes.
What was that..? Something has rubbed against my cars near side.
It shook the whole of the car; oh why can’t I vanish and be elsewhere?
Something else has just passed through my car as I was sitting here.
It’s time to get out of here fast, I’ve had enough of this dark,
but my lights won’t come on and my engine won’t start.
God, I’m stuck with no apparent way of getting out of here,
it’s gone quiet and still, and perhaps there’s nothing to fear.
The car has shook and I think someone or something’s on the roof,
no one would believe this; they just wouldn’t believe the truth.
I can’t believe that this sort of thing could actually happen,
it’s straight out of a movie set of New York and Manhattan.
The car is still and what was on the roof seems to have gone,
again I’ve tried my ignition and lights, but they won’t come on.
I’ve never before been in a dark space for this amount of time
and I’m seeing shades of black as though I’m not quite blind.
I swear a greyish figure flashed by in front of my car,
but I can’t be sure, it’s impossible to see that far.
There was definitely something there, it flashed by again
and one passed in the rear view mirror exactly the same.
What a time for my lights to fail and the engine not to start?
This is supernatural and definitely a world apart.
Despite everything I’ve got to stay calm and do nothing untoward,
so I’ll slowly remove the flashlight from the car’s dashboard.
As I switch on the flashlight I scanned around the other parked cars
and inside them are ghostly white figures covered with scars.
When I shine the light into their faces they turn and point at me,
as if they were giving me a warning of how things will be.
I immediately tried to turn on my engine and lights once more,
then the car park lights came on, and lit up the roof and floor.
The ghostly images all vanished from the cars and from sight,
and I decided I no longer wanted to park here tonight.

Where’s Grandad
The hearse had been booked at the Co-op
for the Friday before the Goose Fair.
We paid for a top notch send off,
with a carriage and six to bear.
The hearse was well behind schedule
on the morning we were burying grandad.
The wind was howling and the sky was dark,
and it began to rain quite bad.
The coffin lay on the front room table
with the flag and white lilies on top.
My dad was anxiously twitching the curtains
until he saw the carriage and horses stop.
It had finally arrived to take grandad
to his resting place in the ground.
Six solemn bearers came into the house
and they never made a sound.
In the hearse they carefully placed the coffin,
then returned to their seating places.
But then they galloped off down the street
leaving us with rain soaked faces.
We ran to our cars and tried to catch up,
but the traffic lights didn’t go our way.
The next time we saw the shiny oak coffin
was by the grave, with the vicar about to pray.
Under umbrellas we gathered and watched
as the coffin was slowly lowered down.
Well after all that it didn’t turn out so bad,
except that we were at the burial of a Mrs Brown.

There Is No Time
This is no time for celebration
This is no time for shaking heads
This is no time for backslapping
This is no time for marching bands
This is no time for optimism
This is no time for endless thought
This is no time for my country right or wrong
Remember what that brought
There is no time
There is no time
There is no time
There is no time
This is no time for congratulations
This is no time to turn your back
This is no time for circumlocution
This is no time for learned speech
This is no time to count your blessings
This is no time for private gain
This is no time to put up or shut up
It wont no time to come back this way again
There is no time
There is no time
There is no time
There is no time
This is no time to swallow anger
This is no time to ignore hate
This is no time to be acting frivolous
Because the time is getting late
This is no time for private vendettas
This is no time to not know who you are
Self knowledge is a dangerous thing
The freedom of who you are
This is no time to ignore warnings
This is no time to clear the plate
Lets not be sorry after the fact
And let the past become out fate
There is no time
There is no time
There is no time
There is no time
This is no time to turn away and drink
Or smoke some vials of crack
This is a time to gather force
And take dead aim and attack
This is no time for celebration
This is no time for saluting flags
This is no time for inner searchings
The future is at head
This is no time for phony rhetoric
This is no time for political speech
This is a time for action
Because the futures within reach
This is the time
This is the time
This is the time
Because there is no time
There is no time
There is no time
There is no time
There is no time

Coffin Car
Coffin car, shes riding a coffin car.
People watching her with tender eyes,
Friends whispering in kindly words,
Children running, waving hands,
Telling each other, how pretty she is.
Coffin car, she likes to ride a coffin car.
Friends making ways for the first time,
People throwing kisses for the first time,
Showering flowers, ringing bells,
Telling each other, how nice she is.
Coffin car, shes riding a coffin car.
Wives showing tears for the first time,
Husband taking their hats off for the first time,
Crushing their handkerchiefs, rubbing their nose,
Telling each other, how good she is.
Half the world is dead anyway,
The other half is asleep.
And life is killing her,
Telling her to join the dead.
So evry day, she likes to ride a coffin car,
A flower covered coffin car,
Pretending she was dead.

Me-Time Continuum
I watch the clock ticking out its time.
I hear the gears tocking 'till the chime…
I hold my stare acutely
And focus ears astutely.
The whole gestalt of this assault by me on clock
Collapses in to hence become
A new me-time continuum,
This clock and I a vacuum;
Dial and me, we've come to be
A synergistic, fatalistic victim,
Hmm…
When it ticks, I then tock:
I am me as well as clock.
When it tocks, I then tick.
We burn together down the wick
In candle wax, both cold and warm,
Together now in molten form.
We jump the side but soon to stall,
Only to solidify
Until the active plateau
Chases…
Down…
Sinking…
To melt again the bit that ran (us) –
All in a time storm
With timeless plan.

Have-a-go Merchant
Have a go
When the pubs all close
And have a go when they open
Then have a go by the traffic lights
Cut up or shut up, youre alright !
And as always Im here right behind you
And as always theres time, so have another go
Oh ...
A small baby girl cradled in your arms
Your one big contribution
Well never know
Well never know
Well never know
Well never know
Ah, yes
Ah, yes
Oh ...
Ha ha, ha ha, ha ha
Ah, ah, ha ha
A small girl runs crying, through the park
So freely her daddy berates her
Right now, so for the rest of her life
She is convinced that her daddy hates her
Oh ...
Ha ha, ha ha, ha ha
Oh, oh, ha ha
Oh ...
Ha ha, ha ha, ha ha
Oh, oh, ha ha

Time for everything
All things that happens in the world, happens at the time God chooses..The is a time of love, and a time of hate! The is a time of sorrows, and a time of joy! The is a time of war, and a time of peace! The is a time of birth, and a time of death! The is a of planting, and a time of pulling out! The is a time to succeed, and a time to fail! The is a time of finding, and a time of loosing! The is a time of smoothness, and a time of rudeness! The is a time to be fast, and a time to be slow! Everything has its own time to happen dont rush, wait for the time to come! BY K.r mafojane
