A Paean for my country

Let freedom and victory get a own song
from the fields of blood and gore
while perished the men that were young
lie in silence forevermore.

At last, at last the darkness has passed
and over us, our country a new day breaks
that is in its glory unsurpassed
while as if coming from death we are awake.

Away our doubts and fears are swept
while for too many years
sacrifices we have made, our widows have wept
tears of pain and their tears

are now of sheer happiness
a feeling without any kind of pain,
as if a kind of holiness
descends upon the land to remain

while every man and women is free
and all hostility is swept away
as men and women live in fraternity,
are kin and neighbours at the brake of day.

l’Envoi

This paean might only still be just a dream
where at times still some blood do spill
and I wish people from hatred to redeem;
that no one wishes another ill.

Awake, arise and wait my fatherland
for true changes to come to every heart and mind,
for God to stretch out His delivering hand
and us to stop to be severally blind.

Paean

NOW, joy and thanks forevermore!
The dreary night has wellnigh passed,
The slumbers of the North are o'er,
The Giant stands erect at last!
More than we hoped in that dark time
When, faint with watching, few and worn,
We saw no welcome day-star climb
The cold gray pathway of the morn!
O weary hours! O night of years!
What storms our darkling pathway swept,
Where, beating back our thronging fears,
By Faith alone our march we kept.
How jeered the scoffing crowd behind,
How mocked before the tyrant train,
As, one by one, the true and kind
Fell fainting in our path of pain!
They died, their brave hearts breaking slow,
But, self-forgetful to the last,
In words of cheer and bugle blow
Their breath upon the darkness passed.
A mighty host, on either hand,
Stood waiting for the dawn of day
To crush like reeds our feeble band;
The morn has come, and where are they?
Troop after troop their line forsakes;
With peace-white banners waving free,
And from our own the glad shout breaks,
Of Freedom and Fraternity!
Like mist before the growing light,
The hostile cohorts melt away;
Our frowning foemen of the night
Are brothers at the dawn of day!
As unto these repentant ones
We open wide our toil-worn ranks,
Along our line a murmur runs
Of song, and praise, and grateful thanks.
Sound for the onset! Blast on blast!
Till Slavery's minious cower and quail;
One charge of fire shall drive them fast
Like chaff before our Northern gale!
O prisoners in your house of pain
Dumb, toiling millions, bound and sold,
Look! stretched o'er Southern vale and plain,
The Lord's delivering hand behold!
Above the tyrant's pride of power,
His iron gates and guarded wall,
The bolts which shattered Shinar's tower
Hang, smoking, for a fiercer fall.
Awake! awake! my Fatherland!
It is thy Northern light that shines;
This stirring march of Freedom's band
The storm-song of thy mountain pines.
Wake, dwellers where the day expires!
And hear, in winds that sweep your lakes
And fan your prairies' roaring fires,
The signal-call that Freedom makes!

The Dawning

Awake, sad heart, whom sorrow ever drowns ;
Take up thine eyes, which feed on earth ;
Unfold thy forehead, gathered into frowns ;
Thy Saviour comes, and with Him mirth :
Awake, awake,
And with a thankful heart His comforts take.
But thou dost still lament, and pine, and cry,
And feel His death, but not His victory.

Arise, sad heart ; if thou dost not withstand,
Christ's resurrection thine may be ;
Do not by hanging down break from the hand
Which, as it riseth, raiseth thee :
Arise, Arise;
And with His burial linen drie thine eyes.
Christ left His grave-clothes, that we might, when grief
Draws tears or blood, not want a handkerchief.

Touch Me Not

lock me in the dominion of your command, transgress my
spirit that is gone, limit my voice to shout the truth and leave
drops of tears to my Fatherland, let my strength drags my
immortal soul for through eternity i will free the nation from
the bondage of cruelty

the light has not stop in the whisper of the wind, the
minute leave to say for the waiting death has its prey, in the
road to step the heaven is always open for me, of where my
vacuum soul is waiting to be free, swallowed like a lion in the
dungeon that cave my heart through out the day

hold my hand my dear brother, the dawning wave capture
the sand and as the bird fly my blooming eye flies; in the
wings of an eagle, the moment of a day reach my rendition,
and ever shall i go in the end it is my way, tears cupped my
emotion, bucket my blood in the country i love

only i found the tore of my tears, swings the luminous flag
in every sun it comes, always forward and never surrender
in the soil the race will live, and in the beacon of our hearts
the nation will stand, bring the tambourine that rejoice and
the cymbals that dance in the celebration of jubilation, the
land return, nay! my days were gone leave no pain, thy
heaven best my soul refresh

i am gone, in every moment i depart, yet! in each day
you'll be laughed in the heart i remain to stay for death i live,
leaves no regret in the flag i hold, my country fears no unfold
and let every breathe fly in each spirit the nation will lives
Forever be Free..............

Tears That Fall Like Rain

Tears of joy and happiness
Trace cross one's cheek
When love fills one's heart

But the other kind
Can sting and blind
When love breaks it apart

The other kind
is kin to naught
but sorrow and of pain

Gives only rise
to red-rimmed eyes
And tears that fall like rain

Drowning In Rage

My heart bleeds tears,
tears of pain and self-hatred
The overwhelming feeling...
the feeling engulfs me,
the tears continue
falling like rain
my soul and mind are full
and the feeling of rage and anger is overwhelming
(And all) I see is red...
Blood red anger, and pain
I scream, but sound is gone
An overwhelming urge to escape
runs through my viens
I want to rip my chest open
and escape this omnipresent martyrdom
and breathe

To Aly; I'm very sorry...

Dark Light Dark

Living nightmare awake
Solitude unyielding
Forsaken forgotten
Cannot sleep
Cannot dream
Reprieve darkness

Praying sleep
Praying dream
Awake prisoned darkness
Time passes never light
Darkness consuming
Broken lost
Waiting sleep
Waiting dream
Light draws near

Light appears
Shineth deliverance
Warm glimmer hope
Darkness retreats
Happiness surfaces
Thorns gone
Pain fades
Shelter amidst light
Dream envelopes cherish

Dream breaks shattered
Awaken again darkness
Scream pain again
Darkness spinning ruling
Light blackened

One Question One Answer

What is happiness?
Is it a feeling
And if so does it have purpose
Does it have meaning
If you do not have happiness
this feeling
How does one find it
How do you find an emotion, a feeling
is it at a certain destination,
Do you have a map
Now is happiness classified under emotion
if so is it fleeting
passing through your body like tears from crying
anger, sadness
All of which no one wishes to hold in their possesion
Is happiness a tangible jewel a present
We all wish to be happy in some way
You cant look for happiness you cant question its glory
Life wasnt scripted like a musical play
We know where there are tears and no anger or sadnesss
then those are tears of joy
Happiness
We know when we can breath and exhale the weight in our chest and dispel the anger and sorrow
You can smile and breath let go of the pain
In that is happiness that gives hope for tomorrow
Each day hard with trials that can be overcome
That cannot overtake you dont give them room too
Deal with each of them one by one
Everyone can hold, feel, find or achieve this emotion called happiness
only by knowing that life would not be life
without tears, sorrow, pain, or anger
The point is not to wallow in them but wade
Until eventually the tide descends and your making knew footprints
feeling happier

Women Seem

Written by John Mellencamp
Women seem to like me
They seem to like what I have to say
When they see me out in public
Women seem to look my way
Women seem to treat me so gracious
They sing me to sleep with a song
But there always seems to be a problem
Women don't seem to like me long
Yeah Yeah Yeah
Women seem to want me
To stay with them all night
We have so much in common
Our futures really do seem bright
Women seem to forgive me
They seem to become my very good friends
But when it comes time for a commitment
The romance always seems to end
They tell me all their stories
We lay awake and talk all night
Maybe it's me I don't know
But in the morning there always seems to be some kind of fight
La La La La La
Well women seem to be so clever
I love all the jokes that they tell
Like my last boyfriend really hurt me in bed
Hey but you seem to fit so well
Women sure can hurt your feelings
They can burn you down and not make a sound
And then they call me up and say hey come over
My husband has just left town
They tell me all their stories
We lay awake and laugh all night
Maybe it's me I don't know
But in the morning there always seems to be some kind of fight
Women seem to love houses
I've bought a couple for one or two
Women seem to think all men are louses
And I guess I think so too
Women seem so much smarter
Than your average Joe
Women seem to be a little more intuitive
And when they lie nobody knows
Well women seem to know how to keep a secret
They don't blabbermouth just for show
Fifty percent of their charm is illusion
And that is a good thing to know

Versus (vs.)

I was ok when I was happy
I can't remember feeling alive
I remember the pain, the tears, the blood
The knives

The innocence
The tears
The love
The fears

The want of blood
The want of fun
The want of tomorrow
The want of it all to be done

I wanted friends
I should have known
Nothing's real
I'm all alone

I've always been alone
You are born alone
You live alone
You die alone

Byron

In The Valley Of The Waters

In the valley of the waters we wept o'er the day
When the host of the stranger made Salem his prey,
And our heads on our bosoms all droopingly lay,
And our hearts were so full of the land far away.

The song they demanded in vain--it lay still
In our souls as the wind that died on the hill;
They called for the harp--but our blood they shall spill
Ere our right hand shall teach them one tone of our skill.

All stringlessly hung on the willow's sad tree,
As dead as her dead leaf those mute harps must be;
Our hands may be fetter'd--our tears still are free,
For our God and our glory--and, Sion!--Oh, thee.

Awake

Awake my sleeping heart
find a love for me.
Someone I can hold
and set me free.
You have slept far too long
and let so many pass by.

Awake my sleeping heart
find me someone
to care for, as I grow old.
To be there at my side
in times of happiness,
and in times of woe.

Awake; awake
my sleeping heart
before it is too late.
Awake, awake
I beg of thee.
Awake my love
and set me free.

Drug Induced Blood, Sweat And Tears

Blood
I bled for you
lies I said for you
Truth I force fed to you
Red leaves stains

Language I took from you
Money I shock from you
white dust had hold of you
Little remains

Sweat
I'm ringing wet
Things that you forget
Now you have regrets
White ringed tides

Kind I cannot be
Cruel will set you free
Son, please stop and see
My love abides

Tears
That I have wept
Nights I haven't slept
Mornings when you crept
Home again

I've done all I can
You are your own man
Need me, here I am
Heal your pain

Tears, sweet, blood will pour
I will mop the floor
You're worth fighting for
Please come back

Be the son I knew
Back with worries few
Where only hope once grew
Before the 'Crack'

Enigma

Some men are born to gather women's tears,
To give a harbour to their timorous fears,
To take them as the dry earth takes the rain,
As the dark wood the warm wind from the plain;
Yet their own tears remain unshed,
Their own tumultuous fears unsaid,
And, seeming steadfast as the forest and the earth
Shaken are they with pain.
They cry for voice as earth might cry for the sea
Or the wood for consuming fire;
Unanswered they remain
Subject to the sorrows of women utterly -
Heart and mind,
Subject as the dry earth to the rain
Or the dark wood to the wind.

Ordinary Pain

When by the phone
In vain you sit
You very soon in your mind realize that its not just
An ordinary pain in your heart
When you by chance
Go knock on her door
Walkin away youre convinced that its much more
Than just an ordinary pain in your heart
Its more than just
An ordinary pain in your heart
When you catch up
But she says goodbye
Hold back your tears and before you start to cry
Say you feel unnecessary pain in your heart
Tell her youre glad
Its over in fact
Can she take with her the pain she brought you back
Takin that ordinary pain from your heart
Its more than just
An ordinary pain from your heart
Dont fool yourself
But tell no one else
That its more than just
An ordinary pain
In your heart
In your heart
In your heart
Part ii
Youre just a masachistic fool
Because you knew my love was cruel
You never listened when they said
Dont let that girl go to your head
But like a play boy you said no
Or*di*nary pain
This little girl mind you will blow
Or*di*nary pain
But then I blew you out the box
Or*di*nary pain
When I put my stuff on key and lock
Or*di*nary pain
It makes me feel kind of sick
Or*di*nary pain
To know love put you in a trick
Or*di*nary pain
I knew our love would have to end
Or*di*nary pain
The day I made it with your friend
Or*di*nary pain
Giving your love to one unreal
Or*di*nary pain
Like a big fool I know you feel
Or*di*nary pain
But in this lovie-dovie game
Or*di*nary pain
With all its joy there must be pain
Or*di*nary pain
But now the time has surely come
Or*di*nary pain
This game dont seem like so much fun
Or*di*nary pain
Youre cryin big corcodile tears
Or*di*nary pain
Dont match the ones Ive cried for years
Or*di*nary pain
When I was home wainting for you
Or*di*nary pain
You were out somewhere doing the do
Or*di*nary pain
You know Id really like to stay
Or*di*nary pain
But like you did Ive go to play
Or*di*nary pain
Youre dumb to think Id let you be
Or*di*nary pain
Scott free without some pain from me
Or*di*nary pain
I heard your song and took a chance
Or*di*nary pain
But to your music I cant dance
Or*di*nary pain
Go tell your story sob-sad
Or*di*nary pain
About you blowin what you had
Or*di*nary pain
Since one aint good enough for you
Or*di*nary pain
Then do yourself see how you do
Or*di*nary pain
Or*di*nary pain
Or*di*nary pain
Or*di*nary pain
Or*di*nary pain
Or*di*nary pain

When together we do awake to another bright day (English sonnet)

When together we do awake to another bright day
there is something special to the morning
while outside the dogs do barking play,
the train in the distance hoots out its warning

and I wonder if this kind of sheer bliss
that away our breaths for moments do take,
that we find in every kiss, is the way it is,
to every other couple that do awake

and our love does constantly something more seek,
as daily into the busyness of life we do embark
and something of it is present in every day and week
as it remains constant like a set mark

and in times of heartache and pain it does remain
as more depth, compassion and power it does gain.

Definition of Pain

Life so precious yet so easily taken away

happiness what everyone wants yet there filled with pain

People causing pain to others for their amusement

Which causes hatred from their victims in turn it creates their murder

What has life come to hatred, anger, pain, death instead of happiness, joy, love, life

how can I live with life

for if i'm happy others will give me pain

if i'm in pain others will fill me with hatred

which will have me taking their so precious lives

So how can I feel happiness once again

when in order to do so I have to create all those things I despise

So doesn't a victim create their own murder in turn creates the death of the murder

if all of this is true isn't life a cycle of happiness to pain then unto death.

My Freedom

Midnight is arriving,
Sun is fading away,
Cloud by day,
Fire by night,
My emotions, gone,
My urge burning,
Burning ready for your presence.

I was once blinded from what
you were revealing to me.
Ignoring you of what you are
giving upon me.
But you gave me mercy.
I repented, gave you my life.
You took hold, made something out of it.
Gave me a reason, told me I have
a reason to live for.

You gave me my freedom!
My freedom...
You broke the chains,
Shakles and cuffs demolished,
Tears and pain deminished!
Tore down the strongholds.
Cast down the demons.
MY FREEDOM! ! ! !
I could just scream it!
You saved my life! ! ! !
How do I repay you?
FREEDOM! ! ! ! ! !

You gave me life, love,
peace, joy, strength, happiness,
possibilaties...
When the prince gave me hate, sorrow,
pain, fears, tears, searing screaches,
mind boteling screams...

FREEDOM! ! !
FREEDOM! ! !
FREEDOM! ! !
You gave me my freedom! ! !
Im set free!
Relieved, rescued, SAVED! ! !
You gave me freedom,
Freedom to live, love, worship,
power...
Freedom.....
