Sushi
Love not too much by many,
Edible flavor found in Sushi,
Press into ball shape Varity,
Smelled raw like the sea.
Etiquette cuisine as distinct as nature,
We look away leaning across the table,
And see scattered rice and Nori,
Lay bare and feeble.
We are very tired when we are hungry,
Many fingers to this palate would drop,
Eating Sushi rolls to make merry,
Even if given bucketful of gold.
Rather eat an apple or a pear,
Than fermented fish evolved as it descend,
From the mouth to later appear,
Where the wind comes cold.
Wash with the morning vapor,
Separate thoughts wept and crept,
To ease the accentuated flavor,
Wrapped floundering in secret.

We were very tired, we were very merry --
We had gone back and forth all night upon the ferry.
It was bare and bright, and smelled like a stable --
But we looked into a fire, we leaned across a table,
We lay on the hill-top underneath the moon;
And the whistles kept blowing, and the dawn came soon.
We were very tired, we were very merry --
We had gone back and forth all night on the ferry;
And you ate an apple, and I ate a pear,
From a dozen of each we had bought somewhere;
And the sky went wan, and the wind came cold,
And the sun rose dripping, a bucketful of gold.
We were very tired, we were very merry,
We had gone back and forth all night on the ferry.
We hailed, "Good morrow, mother!" to a shawl-covered head,
And bought a morning paper, which neither of us read;
And she wept, "God bless you!" for the apples and the pears,
And we gave her all our money but our subway fares.

--EDNA ST. VINCENT MILLAY, in Poetry.
I was very sad, I was very solemn--
I had worked all day grinding out a column.
I came back from dinner at half-past seven,
And I couldn't think of anything till quarter to eleven;
And then I red "Recuerdo," by Miss Millay,
And I said, "I'll bet a nickel I can write that way."
I was very sad, I was very solemn--
I had worked all day whittling out a column.
I said, "I'll bet a nickel I can chirp such a chant,"
And Mr. Geoffrey Parsons said, "I'll bet you can't."
I bit a chunk of chocolate and found it sweet,
And I listened to the trucking on Frankfort Street.
I was very sad, I was very solemn--
I had worked all day fooling with a column.
I got as far as this and took my verses in
To Mr. Geoffrey Parsons, who said, "Kid, you win."
And--not not that I imagine that anyone'll care--
I blew that jitney on a subway fare.

You're My Flavor
The way you love me
Is like a needle in my vein
When you're not around me
You know it just don't feel the same
And I've waited a long time
Just to feel the way I do
Just give me the reason
And I will be all over you
'Cause you're my flavor of love
You're my flavor I'm dreaming of
You're my flavor of love
You're my flavor I'm dreaming of
The way you touch me
Somehow it takes away the pain
And now I'm a junkie
I'm running around without a brain
I got the jones deep inside me
And you are what I wanna do
You give me this feeling
You always make me feel brand new
'Cause you're my flavor of love
You're my flavor I'm dreaming of
You're my flavor of love
You're my flavor I'm dreaming of
Flavor... Ouh come on
'Cause you're my flavor I'm dreaming of
You're my flavor of love
You're my flavor I'm dreaming of
'Cause you're my flavor
You're my flavor I'm dreaming of
Yeah yeah yeah
You're my flavor

Take The Lid Off The Pot
Just take the lid off the pot
Savor all the flavor
Take the lid off the pot
Savor all the flavor
Take the lid off the pot
And savor all the flavor
That's inside of the pot
To then taste what that pot has got
It's been long in simming
With select ingredients
Mouths drool and this is seen
With a stirring up the scent
Eyes are watering with dreams
Now's the time to dip in and get eating
To stop the teasing that was meant
Take the lid off the pot
Savor all the flavor
Take the lid off the pot
Savor all the flavor
Take the lid off the pot
And savor all the flavor
That's inside of the pot.
To then taste what that pot has got
Delicious is the stew
To satisfy those licking lips
Deliciously it soothes
For those who sit and wish
With a wanting more of it!
Just take that lid off the pot
To savor all the flavor
Take the lid off the pot
Savor all the flavor
Take that lid off the pot
And savor all the flavor
That's inside of the pot
To then taste what that pot has got.
'What's the matter? '
There's none left!
'What are you saying?
What do you mean? '
It's gone
All of it
So
Take those memories you've got
And reminisce those wishes
That was inside that pot
There is not even a drop!

Imperialism: Happy Imperialistic FBI Valentine To A Sushi Agents
Do not look at me in the eyes...
FBI
sushi agent
cause,
you look a minimum
wage FBI sushi-chess-or cheese burger
No GDE,
No Connection, and
No emotional secure ground....So stop there
and happy valentine
to you...and all the FBI sushi minimum wage like you....and I still admire
the butt
dwelling free butt....unwatched....un-hijacked....nobody noticed it..shame
on the FBI...SUSHI BOSS....
if you are a PHD
Affiliated with FBI...
happy valentine too...
but, what your butt is doing
there watching out for the FBI....
with a PHD....are you....
a flip flap
double agent
double love
burned from the first round....with a russian in a russian roulette...
if so you are KJB....Puttin...and put it this way....this is
a crime against the nation....
and the valentine law....
to be double PHD
DOUBLE LIPS
DOUBLE BUTT
DOUBLE EVERYTHING
AND ON TOP
WHEN I AM ON TOP
OF MY HEAD
OR ON TOP OF YOU....
YOU WANT ME
TO CHOOSE....ONE OF YOUR NIPPLE
I MEAN DOUBLE IDENTITY NIPPLE....
AK you in valentine day....with a red American heart neck
filled with russian blue vodka...
if you are the boss.
i mean the boss...of the FBI....inch square by inch square and
all the undeclared possessions....
i hope
like obama
in this valentine day
that you are a
sushi
young
sushi
sissi
loussi...

i and i will
speak
to the valentine
public
from your red
sushi butt....
If you are busheeze,
-and i said in advance
it is for a sushi ShO-SO
soso
agents...-
never mind.....dropp it, ...and dropp the case...
happy valentine....and play with it.....when you free...or whenever you are free....I mean the valentine gift...

John Lee Supertaster
Flans: When I was 39 years old, I heard a story. I found out that there [are] people walking among us who have superpowers. These people are called Supertasters. To a Supertaster, bitter fruits taste far more bitter, and sweets far more sweet. Then, just a few months ago, I had the chance to meet a real, live Supertaster named John Lee.
And this is his true story:
Nothing tastes the same (nothing tastes the same)
To a Supertaster (Supertaster)
When he tastes a pear (tastes a pear)
It's like a hundred pears (it's like a million pears)
He's got superpowers (superpowers)
He is a Supertaster (Supertaster)
Every flavor explodes (explodes and explodes)
Explodes and explodes
John Lee Supertaster
Tastes more than we do
Everything has a flavor
Some flavors are too much
Can't shut his mouth (can't shut his mouth)
'Cause he's a Supertaster (Supertaster)
Though he looks like a man (talks like a man)
He is a Supertaster (Supertaster)
Can't drink coffee or beer (coffee or beer)
'Cause he's a Supertaster (Supertaster)
Loves ice cream and pie (ice cream and pie)
He is a Supertaster
John Lee Supertaster
Tastes more than we know
Everything has a flavor
Some flavors must go

Pure Spanish Safflower
If all my memories had taste
mine would be strong,
chocolate
semi-sweet.
If your lips had flavor
they'd be honey dew.
.
Your skin's basil hinting
cinnamon
and a pinch of sensuous mint.
Your eyes have red pepper heat.
We've tasted each
other
our mutual cuisines
our secret
secrets;
our body-tastings.
You suck my fingers
make them tingle
in your warm mouth;
your tongue plays across each,
enticing them.
If all my memories had taste

chocolate
semi-sweet.
If your lips had flavor
they'd be honey dew.

and a pinch of sensuous mint.

our secret
secrets;
our body-tastings.
You suck my fingers
make them tingle
in your warm mouth;
your tongue plays across each,
enticing it.
Your mouth is relentless
travels all around
enough to make
my nail polish blush.
Your massages heal
your palm in the small of my back
remains the perfect fit.
You make my skin flowers bloom
rosette heavings
I lay down to be your banquet;
your nocturnal feast
And I am pure Spanish Safflower
for you my sweet
my lips
red and tingling
provide dessert
at this feast
upon Love's Cuisine.

Simplicity
before a table
a cup of rice and
few pieces of fish
you put your knee
near your mouth
as you mold
sticky white rice
with your bare hands
you open your mouth
and swallow what
you have inorder
to live.
(shall i say
poverty?)

You Got The Flavor
I don't really mean to lead you on
All I wanna do is take you home
You got that flavor
Baby, baby, you got the flavor,
Baby, baby you got the flavor,
You got that flavor
You got it and I want it
You got the flavor and I really really need it, girl
Let's not get fakin',
I want you to shake it
Pretty girl, I don't really wanna lead you on
I don't really mean to lead you on
All I wanna do is take you home
You got that flavor.
Chorus
Let's not get serious, just straight to business
Because your lovin'is all that I need.
My body's achin', don't feel like waitin', baby
Pretty girl, I don't really wanna lead you on
I don't really mean to lead you on,
All I wanna do is take you home
You got that flavor
Chorus
I really want it, I really need it
Baby you got the flavor
I don't really mean to lead you on,
All I wanna do is take you home
'Cause you got that flavor
Baby, you got it, baby, I need it
You got that flavor.
RAP:
Yo it's Donnie
Call me the player, ya dig
Like your style, trip with with a New Did
Said she didn't want to, changed her mind
Backseat in the jeep and then I went for mine
Gotta go low, real low, nice and slow
Can't miss one color on the rainbow
Don't front, girl, you know what is about
Take your chance, turn my taste buds out
I don't really mean to lead you on
(I really don't baby, I really don't baby)
All I wanna do is take you home
You got that flavor.
Baby you got it, when I need it
Just come a little closer, babe,
All I wanna say is:
You got the flavor, baby, yes you do
...and I wanna taste you each and every day.

The Bare Necessities
Look for the bare necessities
The simple bare necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife
I mean the bare necessities
Old Mother Nature's recipes
That brings the bare necessities of life
Wherever I wander, wherever I roam
I couldn't be fonder of my big home
The bees are buzzin' in the tree
To make some honey just for me
When you look under the rocks and plants
And take a glance at the fancy ants
Then maybe try a few
The bare necessities of life will come to you
They'll come to you!
Look for the bare necessities
The simple bare necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife
I mean the bare necessities
That's why a bear can rest at ease
With just the bare necessities of life
Now when you pick a pawpaw
Or a prickly pear
And you prick a raw paw
Next time beware
Don't pick the prickly pear by the paw
When you pick a pear
Try to use the claw
But you don't need to use the claw
When you pick a pear of the big pawpaw
Have I given you a clue ?
The bare necessities of life will come to you
They'll come to you!
So just try and relax, yeah cool it
Fall apart in my backyard
'Cause let me tell you something little britches
If you act like that bee acts, uh uh
You're working too hard
And don't spend your time lookin' around
For something you want that can't be found
When you find out you can live without it
And go along not thinkin' about it
I'll tell you something true
The bare necessities of life will come to you
Look for the bare necessities
The simple bare necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife
I mean the bare necessities
That's why a bear can rest at ease
With just the bare necessities of life
The bare necessities of life will come to you

Savor Da Flavor
She's got that flavor I love to savor
I'll lick your flavor baby, anytime
'Cause she's got raspberry, boysenberry, strawberry and lemon lime
I heard about the man that was eating his shoe
And the three-headed lady said how do you do
You brake to take, but it ain't no mistake
It just don't make no kinda sense to you
Just sitting there, won't you get control of yourself
It was the 3rd of May and now it's June the 12th
So stop you lop, I get the pick of the crop
Savor da flavor
Raspberry, boysenberry, strawberry and lemon lime
Her waves in motion, start a commotion
I'll take her potion any day or time
Like an illusion, spreading confusion
She know's she's using it and that's just fine
I could have been a rumor, but I like what I hear
So I took it one step further
Threw it out of the rear
Do you wait or hate or retaliate
And I take a little dance with the fear
Not a pretty lady trying to take it on me
But she's got a little sister, that's the place I'll be
In a line, she's fine and she's gonna be mine
Savor da flavor
Raspberry, boysenberry, strawberry and lemon lime
Savor da flavor
Raspberry, boysenberry, strawberry and lemon lime

Sashimi Loveliness
there is still something
raw in that relationship which
takes years to
grow
the tendrils of illusions
soft
it is like
salmon sashimi
sushi
bathed in wasabi cream
green hotness
which i leave softly still inside
my mouth
which my tongue savors
like
a pearl
a treasure of sesame
oil
with rice wine
and ginger
pleasure bathing longer
in the pool
of time
i love that raw peel
cold lemon juice
around my gum
that my teeth have long
readied
to take the
last bite
there is something delicious
in love that is raw
watery softness
hidden tenderness
unspoken
because the mouth is
closed
and full
so privately
uninviting

You Miss Flavor
In your mix,
You miss flavor.
With a leaving of your 'A' game.
In your mix,
You miss flavor.
You should have stayed there with it.
Half stepping gets you whipped,
Kissing dust.
From winds you stirred up.
But...
In your mix,
The taste of flavor is missing.
None there is offered,
As a wish to be nibbled.

Scent of cacao beans
Oh! This heart inside my chest
That bit faster when I get
Your presences, I imagine
You and I on my bed
I know the Swedish people
Like the coffee beans so much
But I’ve got a better bean
With Ecuadorian style
You tasted the flavor, smelled the scent
This Creole white chocolate
The sweethes cacao bean you’ve ever tasted
So come and kiss me on my lips
Taste this flavor of cacao beans
I’ve got this scent on my skin
Please make me your daily drink
Come and give me a drink of chocolate
To excited my hot skin
My body is scented by this cacao bean
And you are with the flavor of my skin
You’re my drink that taste like chocolate
That excited my hot skin
My body is scented by this cacao bean
And you are with the flavor of my skin
‘Cause my whole body is shaking
When I think about you
‘Cause I need my hot beverage
To calm this muse
I really need those kisses that you brought
I can’t forget them, that’s my thought
So come and kiss me on my lips
Taste these Creole cacao beans
My body is scented by this bean
And you are with the flavor of my skin
Come and give me drink of chocolate
To excited my hot skin
My body is scented by this cacao bean
And you are with the flavor of my skin

Crumbs Off The Table
(sherrie payne / ronald dunbar / edith wayne)
Ooh, hoo
Get up in the morning
bout a quarter to nine
Get home in the evenin
Too tired to make time
Give me the lovin
Ive been waiting for all day
Youre always a little too tired
To ever look my way
You got me hungry for your love
But you, you aint able
All you want to give me
Is the crumbs off the table
What you been doin?
Who you been wooin?
Tell me, tell me who you been doin?
I ache inside
With a lovin desire
But youre too tired, baby
To light my fire
I work in this house all day
And I get tired too
There aint a day goes by
I aint willing to make love to you
Im hungry for your love
But you, you aint able
All you want to give me
Is the crumbs off the table, ah
What you been doin?
Who you been wooin?
Tell me, tell me, tell me who you been doin?
Hey, sometimes in the middle of the day
I get lovin you on my mind
But as soon as you get home
You read the paper
Aint got the time
What you been doin?
Who you been wooin?
Tell me, tell me, who you been doin?
What you been doin?
Who you been wooin?
Tell me, tell me, tell me who you been doin?
I said Im hungry for your lovin
But you, you aint able

Hungry for your love
But you

Missing Song Number One
Tonight I have nothing to read except
Sherlock Holmes so terribly abridged
as to constitute a sin by the criminal
editors of Readers' Digest, they have
carefully removed all excitement to
make the final Conan Doyle dish so
bland it is like eating dry rice, raw fish
without sushi embellishments, drinking
luke-warm tea - in a word, as boring
as can be - they have an uncanny
ability to reduce every great tale to
nothingness
This is Friday night - which has always
been one of the most difficult times for
me - at school it was easy, I used to
learn music or geography - then spent
a wonderful hour in the magical cave
known as my brother's bedroom listening
to the week's Top Twenty Hits, delighted
to be amongst old radio and bicycle parts,
batteries, books and various tools, falling
asleep then stumbling back to my room
after missing Song Number One…

To have a feel of my food
To have the feel of my food not just the taste of it in my tongue
I use my bare hands, the rice I fold between my palms the fish
I touch with my fingers, and then my mouth opens to swallow and savor
Just like you tonight, I feel you with my bare hands I taste you
With my tongue because you are the food of my soul and my soul
Feeds on you as you also feed on mine
We are bare all over, not just our bare hands
We touch we feel we lick we breath with our noses
On our skins, we feed on our flesh, we go deeper
Into our souls, our eyes feast on the food we lay in front of us
The lights of our eyes open in our room the festivity to a beginning
We feed on ourselves we are hungry & greedy & we are never full

Writing In Thin Slices...
it is like a big tuna that lands in the shores of your mind,
you view it and it is too big for your keeping
you take a sharp knife then have a thin incision
you open the think slimy skin and slice but a very small and thin portion
of its raw flesh
less the blood
this is sushi poetry
your wasabe is the clear sea
your chopstick your skinny fingers
your long tongue savors the rawness
of this delicacy
in real life we do not take much of the fish body
only thin slices
and then we make conclusions
without causing much ruin
of what is big and unaccounted for
you set the big fish free
into the deep ocean
it has its own destiny
you have taken the sample of what it tastes
of what it is all about &
that is surely enough
then you go on with a stick in your hand
you scurry the sands
for those tiny diamonds
under the midday sun.
