Highly Ambitious Dot

the lowly dot
learns that ambition is a virtue
and so one day
it rolls itself upon itself
until it becomes a line
and then it runs and struggles
and chases and rises and stretches
and curls and winds itself upon itself
until it becomes a shape
until it learns the best shape to be in
a circle that feeds upon its own shape
until it become a sphere
a ball
a rubber ball until it becomes
a bouncing ball
bouncing and bouncing until it masters
the tricks of being the most
important circle
the earth

where you live.

Keepin'-Th'Big-Ball Bouncin

Caught up in the nonsense.
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncing.

And waiting for some annoucement...
To stop that loud sound that pounds!

Caught up in the nonsense.
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncing.

Yet hypnotized to the aspect,
Folks stay ready to pounce.
But no one moves to unload the packs,
Stacked on their backs.
Mounting are their burdens,
And some like it like that!

Caught up in the nonsense.
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncing.

Bitten lips,
Bleeding blood.
Taking it.
With the moaning.

Sighing in their pain with pleas...
As if they seek someone to please.
And squeezing sweat from handkerchieves...
In fields they're proud to plow,
But gone!

Caught up in the nonsense.
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncing.

With a dragging of their feet...
To feed defeat on urban streets.
And reminiscing this so easy,
As if this beat succeeds.
And it does.

A nothingness achieved...
Like this does.

Caught up in the nonsense.
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncing.
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncing.
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncing.
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncing.
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncing.
And...
A nothingness achieved,
Like this does.

Ahhhh...bouncin'
Keepin'-th'big-b all bouncin'
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncin'
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncin'
Ahhhh...bouncin'
Keepin'-th'big-ba ll bouncin'
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncin'
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncin'
Ahhhh...bouncin'
Keepin'-th'big-ba ll bouncin'
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncin'
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncin'
Ahhhh...bouncin'
Keepin'-th'big-ba ll bouncin'
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncin'
Keepin'-th'big-ball bouncin'

And nothing gets achieved...

Intro

O-U-T-K-A-S-T
Live, from the center of the earth, 7 light-years below sea level we go,
welcome to Stankonia. The place from which all funky things come. Would you
like to come?
(girl moaning, lasts throughout intro)
Bounce baby. (We're bouncing)
Bounce.
Bounce. (We're bouncing)
2 times bounce bounce. (We're bouncing)
We bouncing. (We're bouncing)
BOUNCE... (We bouncing baby)
(We're bouncing!) C'mon, bounce.
(Bouncing! Bounce baby) Bounce!
Bounce bounce. (Baby!) Bounce bounce.
(Let's bounce) C'mon bounce. (Everybody let's bounce)
(Let's bounce) We bouncing now.
All that bouncing, niggaz be from the H-L. We got Bankhead right here,
southwest and 92 strong.
BREAK!! -clap-

Red Rubber Ball

I should have known you'd bid me farewell
There's a lesson to be learned from this and I've learned it very well
Now I know you're not the only starfish in the sea
If I never hear your name again, it's all the same to me
And I think it's gonna be all right
Yeah, the worst is over now
The morning sun is shining like a red rubber ball
You never care for secrets I confide
To you, I'm just an ornament, something for your pride
Always running, never caring, that's the life you live
Stolen minutes of your time were all you had to give
And I think it's gonna be all right
Yeah, the worst is over now
The morning sun is shining like a red rubber ball
The story's in the past with nothing to recall
I've got my life to live, and I don't need you at all
The roller coaster ride we took is nearly at an end
I bought my tickets with my tears, that's all I'm gonna spend
And I think it's gonna be all right
Yeah, the worst is over now
The morning sun is shining like a red rubber ball
And I think it's gonna be all right
Yeah, the worst is over now
The morning sun is shining like a red rubber ball
It's bouncing and it's shining like a red rubber ball

Bounce Bounce!

Waves calling and laughing
Waves ebb and flow
Waves rolling splashing
sandy remnants on the beach.

Bounce Bounce and bouncing
Bounce beats infectious
Bounce arms up and about
Its a dance re-energized

Ball on wall bouncing
Ball hits so hard on wall
Ball bounce taken with ease
Its to hearts sweet infection

Bounce bounce on waves
Bounce Bounce dance re-energized
Bounce like a ball on a wall
As hearts that yearn life is GOLD!

A Belief Of The Merry Go Round

it is another beginning
we do not know exactly where we shall mark it

this is a ring
a circle a sphere
turning and turning
round and round
in ecstasy
and pain

there is no end
we do not exactly know where we shall mark it

this is a ball
round and bouncing

this is the Ferris wheel
the May pole

this is another ride for another year
merry, merry, merry go round

how shall we feel it?
when we are too preoccupied
with what we are
and what shall we become?

this is the circle of love
and hate and love and hate
a plain of concern
and indifference

these are dances of many lifetimes
and cycles and repetitions

i see a face and make love with a body
i live in a house and walk on a path

who are you now? what place is this?
and why are we here?

Looking For Work

Infinite feints
for a lane
to go driving.

Still there's
no opening.
Jump shot

pumped from afar
spits in the net,
sole sound.

The bucket is made,
but the ball
the ball is still bouncing.

The Wheel

Free us from the sphere that surrounds us,
A shape that haunts us and decides our living.
We wanted freedom of a different sort,
A face is contorted by this freedom
And changes it to liberty, the extreme sort.
We calculate the life that begins to radiate beauty,
And inside the sphere is a circle that is perfect,
A hidden quality always worthy and special.
A circle is not a three-sided shape,
But a special line of fortune.
We can never be triangular,
It makes no sense, but the wheel is all we need
To walk in freedom all over this Earth.

Pinball

My own expectations threw the ball,
How concerted the effort became after the ball.
The contrary feelings bespoke and beamed on the lungs
That breathed and forsook the steady fluctuations of the ball.

A rolling ball receives the souls of learning
And the circle of knowledge arrives on time.
My machine is exact, bearing fruit of the life,
This is hereabouts, there is a circle of light so round.

Basketball

I was bouncing my ball
on a warm summer day
when he looked up
and he did say

shoot me through
that hoop up there
and let me fly
right through the air

shoot me through
that orange round rim
if you make it
we will win

but if you miss it
that's okay
cuz i'll still love you
anyway

I shot the ball
and i made the shot
the ball looked up and said
thanks, thanks alot

I knew you could do it
I knew you would
keep practicing now
just like you should

Following A Bouncing Ball

Why haven't I contacted you at all?
My priorities have completely changed.
I had to adopt another focus.
It became too difficult for me,
To continue following a bouncing ball.
Especially one I thought I could hold.
But that ball you bounce,
Is too much out of control!

And as for me,
I needed to keep a peace concrete...
Within my walls.
You had me feel they were closing in.
And climbing over walls,
To breathe fresh air...
Over and over and over again,
I will not accept as an agenda!
Activated to keep on call.
I came to realize,
That's just not me.

Why haven't I contacted you at all?
I threw that ball over my walls.
And not a regret left do I have!
None.
Not one in my mind there kept to stall.

Rubber Ball Man

========================
Abba - Rubber Ball Man
========================
(B.Andersson/B.Ulvaeus)
First release 1994 as part of Undeleted medley
The poster on the wall of a dear friend
I wish there was a way that I could show you how your songs set me free
The hero of them all
You're a legend
I guess I'll never get a chance to know you
Still you're close as can be
Make the band stand to a dreamland, Rubber Ball Man
Clapping your hands, let your feet dance, Rubber Ball Man
When you're jumping up and down, nobody's standing still
Some of us dreaming, some of us screaming
Look at your fans, how we love you, Rubber Ball Man!

The Ballad Of The Children Of The Czar

1

The children of the Czar
Played with a bouncing ball

In the May morning, in the Czar's garden,
Tossing it back and forth.

It fell among the flowerbeds
Or fled to the north gate.

A daylight moon hung up
In the Western sky, bald white.

Like Papa's face, said Sister,
Hurling the white ball forth.

2

While I ate a baked potato
Six thousand miles apart,

In Brooklyn, in 1916,
Aged two, irrational.

When Franklin D. Roosevelt
Was an Arrow Collar ad.

O Nicholas! Alas! Alas!
My grandfather coughed in your army,

Hid in a wine-stinking barrel,
For three days in Bucharest

Then left for America
To become a king himself.

3

I am my father's father,
You are your children's guilt.

In history's pity and terror
The child is Aeneas again;

Troy is in the nursery,
The rocking horse is on fire.

Child labor! The child must carry
His fathers on his back.

But seeing that so much is past
And that history has no ruth

For the individual,
Who drinks tea, who catches cold,

Let anger be general:
I hate an abstract thing.

4

Brother and sister bounced
The bounding, unbroken ball,

The shattering sun fell down
Like swords upon their play,

Moving eastward among the stars
Toward February and October.

But the Maywind brushed their cheeks
Like a mother watching sleep,

And if for a moment they fight
Over the bouncing ball

And sister pinches brother
And brother kicks her shins,

Well! The heart of man in known:
It is a cactus bloom.

5

The ground on which the ball bounces
Is another bouncing ball.

The wheeling, whirling world
Makes no will glad.

Spinning in its spotlight darkness,
It is too big for their hands.

A pitiless, purposeless Thing,
Arbitrary, and unspent,

Made for no play, for no children,
But chasing only itself.

The innocent are overtaken,
They are not innocent.

They are their father's fathers,
The past is inevitable.

6

Now, in another October
Of this tragic star,

I see my second year,
I eat my baked potato.

It is my buttered world,
But, poked by my unlearned hand,

It falls from the highchair down
And I begin to howl

And I see the ball roll under
The iron gate which is locked.

Sister is screaming, brother is howling,
The ball has evaded their will.

Even a bouncing ball
Is uncontrollable,

And is under the garden wall.
I am overtaken by terror

Thinking of my father's fathers,
And of my own will.

A Ball’s Flight

A ball involves the pain of flight,
Falling is always a fact, a bright future.
One calls the suffering for actions,
But no bouncing of weapons happened.
If a ball has bounced due to irritation,
Let the fall be witnessed by some who play.
The sport is proud of a day that delights,
Anybody who is an enemy is too much.
Balloons catch flight, but the bubbles float,
And the balls of big size reduce their size.

Do You Know?

A blue ball bouncing merrily
arrives upon a motorway.
A recipe for tragedy
when children carelessly at play.
Follow the ball on flying feet
then with an accident they meet.
The distraught driver’s not to blame
but he feels guilty just the same.
Do you know where your children play?
Do you know where they are today?
It’s your responsibility
to supervise them properly.
I must confess that I did not
now memories are all I’ve got.

Shape Me Like A Man

Spark my body into existence
Breath your life into me
Fill these eyes with temptation
Work your mystery
Make me in the image you desire
Raise me up from the earth
Let me be your creation
Women, give me birth
Take me in your hands
And shape me like a man
Shape me like a man
Put this broken body in motion
With a strong and natural drive
Fill my flesh with sensation
Women let me know Im alive
Take me in your hands
And shape me like a man
Shape me like a man
Like a man
Shape me like a man
Like a man
Shape me like a man
Like a man
Take me in your hands
And shape me like a man
Like a man
Shape me like a man

God Works in Circle

a ball lover
is our god
a soccer player
he is
the whole universe
his field
the planets,
the stars,
our earth
all shuttling
through space
like balls
shove from
one corner
to the other
our heads,
our eyes,
the balls
that the gods
give us
to play
all
the games
in his world
the moon
in its
lunar journey
round and round
good and bad
too come
in a circle
what goes around
comes around
kindness begets kindness
do bad and
it comes back
in a circle
cos our god
is a lover of
a ball game
start walking anywhere
in the universe
and you get back
to your own place
cos our god
loves the circle game
the circle game
the circle game

One Meat Ball

(l. singer-h.zaret)
The little man walked up and down
To find an eating place in town
He read the menu through and through
To see what fifteen cents could do
One meat ball, one meat ball
Well, he could afford but one meat ball
He told the waiter near at hand
A simple dinner he had planned
The guests were startled one and all to hear
That waiter loudly call
One meat ball, one meat ball
Well, this here gent wants one meat ball
Little man felt very bad
One meat ball was all he had
And in his dreams he hears that call
Ya gets no bread with one meat ball
One meat ball, one meat ball
Well, you get no bread with one meat ball
Well, he could afford but one meat ball
One meat ball, one meat ball
All he could afford was one meat ball
One meat ball

Pardon Me While I Laugh

Two girls in one week is that what it is?
You have a great track record going for you
Pardon me while I laugh about it
You drag yourself down just to get sympathy
Little do you know, you're not getting it from me
Why should I feel sorry for you?
One day you're asking about me
The next, you're wondering about someone else
Whatever helps you sleep at night
Whatever helps you get over her
It just won't be me helping you
I'll be the one with my back turned
While you're bouncing around like a rubber ball
Pardon me while I laugh
