Alley
Apply, apply
no reply.
I do not know
how to apply
what to apply
I do not know
whether I am
eligible to apply
I do not know
whether there is
age limit to apply
I do not know
what is the
last date to apply.
Apply, apply
no reply.
And you find a fly
in this alley.

A Hill
A hill is in the sky much too high,
Offering us a new scene too beautiful,
But when is the strength to apply?
We must shift and learn and amplify,
Leaving too much time that is abnormal,
A hill is in the sky much too high.
Kill the souls of the fathers that are by,
Watch for the elements of risks considerable,
But when is the strength to apply?
I shun from single mothers who fight and buy
A lesser man who burns the clothes all horrible,
A hill is in the sky much too high.
You must change your job like water, or die,
For to die is greater than to be immortal,
But when is the strength to apply?
Jostle in the sand for a gun or a plan to dissatisfy,
Finding one job is too plain and immoral,
But when is the strength to apply?
A hill is in the sky much too high.

Making an Effort
Our so-called limitations,believe,
apply to faculties we don't apply.
We don't discover what we can't achieve
until we make an effort not to try.
It is the duty of the Umpire to determine all questions submitted to him according to these laws, when they apply, and according to his best judgment when they do not apply.

I love rehearsing because in rehearsals there are no mistakes, nothing is wrong, some things apply or lead you to focus on the character and the things that don't apply are equally valuable because they lead you to towards what does.

Our Destiny Is In Our Own Hands
Our destiny is in our own hands some have been known to say
But circumstance in all of that must have some part to play
If you are born on no hope street and homeless in your youth
To you our destiny is in our own hands does not have a ring of truth.
Our destiny is in our own hands to some may well apply
It may apply to you and he and her as well as I
But not of course to everyone each day thousands of hunger die
Our destiny is in our own hands to the millions is a lie.
The innocents who die in war and acts of terrorism did not create their destiny
They would not wish it on themselves for to die so tragically
Their destiny was in others hands which often is the case
They just happened at the wrong time for to be in the wrong place.
That our destiny is in our own hands apply to some maybe
But ninety nine per cent of street kids will die in poverty
Due to their circumstances of birth they are condemned to fail
And some of them die of drug overdoses and some of them die in jail.

When we went to school we were told that we were governed by laws, not men. As a result of that, many people think there is no need to pay any attention to judicial candidates because judges merely apply the law by some mathematical formula and a good judge and a bad judge all apply the same kind of law. The fact is that the most important part of a judge's work is the exercise of judgment and that the law in a court is never better than the common sense judgment of the judge that is presiding.

A new concept of god: “something not very different from the sum total of the physical laws of the universe; that is, gravitation plus quantum mechanics plus grand unified field theories plus a few other things equaled god." And by that all they meant was that here were a set of exquisitely powerful physical principles that seemed to explain a great deal that was otherwise inexplicable about the universe. Laws of nature… that apply not just locally, not just in Glasgow, but far beyond: Edinburgh, Moscow… Mars… the center of the Milky Way, and out by the most distant quarters known. That the same laws of physics apply everywhere is quite remarkable. Certainly that represents a power greater than any of us.

Different Dreams
Do not judge me by your standards
Because they don’t apply to me
Your punishments and your rewards
Are of no consequence to me.
The principles which I live by.
Apply to me and me alone
I see no reason I should try
to change my ways; act differently
I do not seek the spotlights glare.
Fame is of no interest to me
I really do not think I’d care
to be some flash celebrity/
I am quite happy with my life
I do not need the extra stress,
the trials troubles and the strife
Which are the trappings of success.
Continue to pursue your dream
as you have every right to do
But things aren’t always what they seem
You’ll learn through time my words are true.
I find I am content to be
a simple ordinary man.
I jog along quite happily
and live the best way that I can.
I don’t judge you, so don’t judge me.
You have your life and I have mine
Can we agree to disagree
and part as friends amicably.

Get-That-Thing-On-The-Victim
Who cares which one is better suited...
Has more stage presence,
And is preferred to apply a much needed touniqet?
The victim has been sedated!
Medicated for years.
And has been in a failing state of delusion!
The blood once dripping.
From a scratch denied that was done...
Has begun to gush!
Life and the quality of it...
Slips from the unconscious lips,
Of this patient!
Who cares which one is better suited...
Has more stage presence,
And is preferred to apply a much needed touniqet?
Who gives a flippidy doo da dee...
Whether he is black with a Harvard degree!
Or she is white?
An ex-president's wife.
And might wear combat boots in her bedroom?
'Get-that-thing-on-the-victim'
Alr eady the smell and stench of it...
Has reached the streets!

The King's Summons
May I apply to you my damsel just this once?
I am Teutonicus king of the fearsome Huns.
We have installed a box for letters near the moat
may I be first to send you flowers and my vote
a written narrative would please me, do expand
I shall reply if you desire, on demand.

Testing Times For Sonnet Rhymes
Open instincts! Writ theme test who'll see?
Pressed, the mesh inset in style hides, shy.
Efforts knit span lines to link as I
Not on trite end - top levels mask text free.
Your summons seeks, a bubbly threaded key
On to straight end true, whose inner cry
Uses the prose, its music just, to tie.
Reread, prime the brain, gold runes there be
Haste. All nets art, stands meter ready,
Ever here rests precious. Test apply
A hidden cue where a verse pitch apply
Renders truth's initials to train thee.
Take these echos, guest, yet peruse them well,
Sharp telescopes help set score, context spell.

Knowing is not enough we must apply. Willing is not enough we must do.
Knowing is not enough we must apply. Willing is not enough we must do.
Knowing is not enough we must apply. Willing is not enough we must do.
To Go Off
To forget easily means worries to go off or let
Men should be in command when to remember and forget
What can be retained for good and preserved
And what can be taken care off alter or observed
It is nice quality to accord the priority
This can be adjusted according to utility
You can not remain occupied or things to happen years later
It can be nicely dumped and take will be n care of for better
It provides good excuse if you pretend of forgetful nature
You will gain enough of time to plan and think over
Immediate answer may sometimes lack convincing reply
The mind will not be at rest and fail to apply
So it now made know to all that you tend to forget
So they will take you for not granted and suitably assure
You will be utilized later when there is no other option
You can be even considered nothing for any of the adoption
Such is advantage of being ignorant
People may not bombard you instant
They know you may prove non-starter
There is no use to exchange with you or barter
Any how you flank is secured
Disease is completely cured
You have your own rules to apply
Enough time at disposal to reply
Pretend ignorance if there is no escape route
If rules are not applicable then flout
But well within limits so can be defended
Not to cause any damage or feel them offended
At least you will be spared
No one seemed to have dared
You are not avoided but cared
As they will make it doubly sure and compared

Rhythm Section Want Ad
In a world we call our home theres lots of room to roam
Plenty of time to turn mistakes into rhyme
Theres a place for those who love their poetry
Its just across from the sign that says, pros only
So if you like a band with a chick singer,
Say your cup of tea is a wall of trombones
If you dig menudo, or mdc we salute you the way we know
For every one with dollar signs in his eyes
There must be hundreds who look at you as if youre some kind of
Rhythm section want ad
No others need apply to the rhythm section want ad
Ill tell you why
Hats off to the new age hairstyle made of bones
Hats off to the use of hats as megaphones
Speak softly, drive a sherman tank
Laugh hard, its a long way to the bank
Do you sing like olive oyl on purpose
You guys must be into the eurythmics
For every one with dollar signs in his eyes
There must be hundreds who look at you as if youre some kind of
Rhythm section want ad
No others need apply to the rhythm section want ad
And heres the reason why
Hats off to the new age hairstyle made of bones
Hats off to the use of hats as megaphones
Speak softly, drive a sherman tank
Laugh hard, its a long way to the bank
Do you sing like olive oyl on purpose

Shirts & Gloves
When Im back from the road
And youre out on it
& Im tired of this distance
& I believe its over-rated.
And this phone tag game is endless
The novelty is wearing
Im hoping time will pass
Without any assistance
Or convincing.
Road rules apply
Theres so much action,
Youre getting busy.
Ill call your cellular phone
To tell you tv night was
Lonely without you
& so am i...
So am i.
It seems our day keeps falling on a leap year.
So many high points on this last leg.
I cant wait to recount them
It seems like nothings happened
Until Ive shared them with you.
The note that you had called
Says youre half a day away
& you are heading home
Just in time for me to leave.
Road rules apply
Theres so much action
Im getting busy.
So make sure that Im up to date
On tv night,
I hate to miss out.
I think I miss you most
On wednesdays
& saturdays.
It seems our day keeps falling on a leap year.
