Marc and me are free
1973. Your bright spring of fame already on the wane
Careless descent into the dull machine begun
Accidental death beside your child's mother to come
But I was still young. I ventured out Saturdays in platform shoes
Tight red tank top, cheeks glistening in the summer night
My corkscrew curls freed by your inspirations
Clawed from the years obscure, dwelling in bedsits
With Hobbit books and Elvish poems and Tooks,
Happy endurance, no doubt, until your season
Of discovery arrived, borne by a white swan's wings.
And all your rivers of melody and funk flowed easy
But for so short a time, the well dug shallow
And not easily refilled. How you strained
To find a bridge to bear another verse
And seemed to yield too easily, to the mirror,
To the tedium of fame, the moments of transcendence
Before the fatal crash. Barely registered by me
Or others you gave courage to be free.
Yes, you painted a star on the sky. Now fly high
Upon the dragon's back, you need be chained no more:
No longer bound by words or simple chords.

Fame

Fame, makes a man take things over.
Fame, let's him lose, hard to swallow.
Fame, puts you there where things are hollow.
Fame.
Fame,
It's not your brain, it's just a flame,
That burns your change to keep you insane.
Fame.
Fame, what you like is in the limo.
Fame, what you get is no tomorrow.
Fame, what you need you have to borrow.
Fame.
Fame,
Now it's mine, it's just his line
To bind your time it drives you to crime.
Fame.
Is it any wonder
I reject you first?
Fame, fame, fame, fame.
Is it any wonder
You are too cool to fool?

Bully for you,
Chilly for me,
Got to get a raincheck on pain.

Joyce
The poesy inspiration to her comes easily
The poetess from Sunderland by the Atlantic sea
Sharing with the universe her great gift of joy
She will live forever her sort never die.
In February in England the morning fields are gray
But her poems fresh and lovely as the first flowers of May
And though the flowers of Summer will be long gone by Fall
Joyce's poems will live on and verse lovers will recall
How she make many happy with her gift of song
Her verses light and breezy they just float along
Like a windblown feather in the Summer air
Floating in the heaven's free of any care.
She's one in a billion people like her rare
Joyce Hemsley from Sunderland her great gift of poetry share
With all lovers of poetry, she's known far and wide
Greatness of the lady cannot be denied.
She has written so much verse and all of her verse is good
Quite uncomplicated and easily understood
And to her inspiration comes quite easily
The poetess from Sunderland by the Atlantic sea.

Only Fun When Young
Only fun when young - sonnet
I miss the days when I was a young boy
Life then seemed easy and free of care
I miss playing in the sand with a joy
When I was young I use to hug my bear
So care free while having a lot of fun
Everything seemed to be so simple like
In Summer days I played under the sun
In Fall I felt joy as I flu my kite
Full with memories I want to have back
I wish to ride my bike with old buddies
Fun as a young child is something I lack
Now I am fed up with endless studies
Childhood is a time I would like to revive
Since I need to find a way to survive

Man In The Mirror
This is the story of a star
He gave up reality for fame
He's the man in the mirror
Money was his best friend
Lludadi dadida
Lights are off, the curtains closed
No one is here now
Ludadi dadida
To turn back the hands of time
Hes the man, in the dark
Trying to see the light again
Hes the man, in the dark
To fall is hard to understand
He's the man in the mirror
He was a hero, he was a superstar
He's the man in the mirror
Searching the spotlight, Searching a fame bizarre
He's the man in the mirror
Ludadi dadida
Hes living inside a nasty world
No one was honest
Ludadi dadida
Searching for the fame he lost
He's the man in the mirror
He was a hero, he was a superstar
He's the man in the mirror
Searching the spotlight, Searching the fame bizarre
The curtain is closed
The camera is off
The make up is washed away
Hes looking in the mirror
Trying to find his inner self
The real world is waiting
He's so afraid to be alone
Time is getting over
Ludadi dadida
The past is running through his hands
No one is waiting
Ludadi dadida
The show is over he's alone

Written Somewhere (Mini Biography)
My friends are strangers
My family is the world
At one time, I sought fame
Everyone to know my name
Praise for what I did
But as the years came around
No fame there was to be found
So I turned my back on it all
Feeling crushed and insignificantly small
Years folded into one another
And soon became a score
Still I had no wish to return
To find the fame that I so yearned
But fate had a hand for me to play
It said you still had something more to say
An old school friend from a different time
Was sent one day when I was down
To reconnect and turn my life around
At first it did not dawn on me
That our meeting was meant to be
And my life was to change so dramatically
We talked through emails
About the lives, we had both lead
Suzanne said she had a friend and told me her name
That I should read her poems online
That friend, Melvina Germain, would also become a friend of mine
And set me on a return road of an earlier time
I joined the site where her poems were
And in a few short months, I was overwhelmed
I had something I had always dreamed for
I had a family of the world
The fame I so dearly sought to find
Where friends came along and read the work of mine
It made my heart pump faster and put zest into my life again
I would never want for anything
I had all the friends and fame
I ever wanted and more

I shall not die for thee
FOR thee, I shall not die,
Woman of high fame and name;
Foolish men thou mayest slay
I and they are not the same.
Why should I expire
For the fire of an eye,
Slender waist or swan-like limb,
Is't for them that I should die?
The round breasts, the fresh skin,
Cheeks crimson, hair so long and rich;
Indeed, indeed, I shall not die,
Please God, not I, for any such.
The golden hair, the forehead thin,
The chaste mien, the gracious ease,
The rounded heel, the languid tone,—
Fools alone find death from these.
Thy sharp wit, thy perfect calm,
Thy thin palm like foam o' the sea;
Thy white neck, thy blue eye,
I shall not die for thee.
Woman, graceful as the swan,
A wise man did nurture me.
Little palm, white neck, bright eye,
I shall not die for ye.

Fame And Fortune
Sittin' in the back of a limousine, feelin' just like a king
All the girls come runnin' to you, you're the latest thing
Sittin' up there at the top of the charts, lookin' like Mr. Cool
You take all the money, steal their hearts, they'll come runnin' to you
Your fame and your fortune, look what it brought you
All your fame and your fortune, you better take a look around
With your fame and your fortune, careful who you talk to
Or the fame and your fortune, watch it all tumble down, yeah, oh listen now
Now you're lookin' for inspiration, somethin' to say
When you find that it don't come easy, you find them running away
You had it all in the palm of your hand, and let it slip away
You made it big, ooh so big, and then you threw it all away
All your fame and your fortune, look what it brought you
Fame and your fortune, hey you better take another look
At your fame and your fortune, it set you up, then it caught you
Fame and your fortune, surely gonna let you down, hey tell me now
(Solo)
All your fame and your fortune, look what it brought you
Take your fame and your fortune, wait and take a look around
For your fame and your fortune, who do you talk to
'Bout your fame and your fortune, as it all comes tumbling down
Fame and your fortune, fame and your fortune, yes all come tumbling down
Fame and your fortune, fame and your fortune, all comes tumbling down...

Back In The Day
Hook
You were just a boy
And I was just a girl in love
Cabangas was a toy
And the rubics cube made life seem tough
Truth or dare was a game
All your crew would dress the same to
School each day
I remember when oh do you remember when
Back in the day, back in the day.
Verse i
Life was so simple back then
Double dutch and talking junk
Was what we did
Hangin outside with my friends
Till the street lamp said
Its time to come in (sometimes I)
B-sec
Long for the days
No work and all play
Long for the times
Innocently blind
Verse ii
Life was so simple back then
Quarter waters when were thirsty
Gave the quench
We were so easy to please
Candy necklaces and rings
Were to us the finer things
Verse iii
Life was so simple it seemed
Rockin kangols w/adidas and lee jeans
Nameplates and 4 finger rings
Jelly sandals for your feet
Mr. softee made life sweet
How I long
Bridge
New edition sang to me
Ronnie, bobby, johnny, ricky and mike
(dont forget ralph)
Thats what I remember
Loving you came easily
First time we ever kissed goodnite
Do you remember?

A dream only
Dream within dream
The palace on sold structure of beam
Well founded and standing erect
Noble ideas in dream also to act
You dream nicely to fulfill the task
You feel shy and do not venture to ask
Anybody as to what you think about mission
What is your fault in making the admission?
It is perfect platform where you are judge and jury
You can free the prisoner or cause the injury
You have ample time and not in hurry
How much burden you intend to carry?
It reflects well in chains when you are at rest
You plead and seek the answer to the level best
It is not for your weakness or endurance test
You feel very much safe as if in the nest
You do not shy away from the crowd
You speak with great volumes and very loud
It heard with great care and attention
You are not running out of passion
You have suffered terrible absence
It has ruined you without her presence
You were not able to convince loyalty
You followed it with care and honesty
Your ultimate goal was not realized
She was surrounded by many and obliged
You had no means to reach her and plead
She was unable to grasp you and read
It is the case with many more
They fail to convince and explore
They hold in high esteem and adore
Still so much failure in store
It was lack of confidence and boldness
It was something short of frankness too
The love required dashing approach
You were needing help from the coach
Certain fields are above the preview
It needs close affinity and view
If one can see it minutely and observe
It can be made out easily for those who deserve
Entire gamut of exercise opens up in dream
They flow easily in the main stream
The ship carries only two of them
They are the main characters and only gems
All promises are taken and given
Simple mistakes are easily forgiven
Under the open sky and vast horizons
No feeling of religion or special zones
Words are easily found to express
Peace and happiness without any duress
Open and frank discussion for future plan
Cal surface on pond and easy swim for swan
Had there been no dreams at all?
There would have been suicides and fall
No one could have got any solution
Even with firm action and resolution

A Golden Memory
When I was a young child
about five to seven years of age.
I noticed the neighbour's trees
were dirty and sooty and black.
Black with smoke chimney coal dust.
The bark was ugly dirty and black
the leaves were ugly dirty and black.
And barely green if at all in most places,
except a little on the side facing the sun.
The sun I saw as a beautiful yellow light.
Next to my father's garage grew these trees.
They were really tall shrubs, but I was but still
a young child, with much to learn in this world,
ruled by mean men. Magic and the elfin language,
still danced like sparkling stardust in my eyes.
Next to my father's garage grew these trees.
They were so sad dull black lifeless and ugly.
I took a bright yellow lively house paint.
And painted the trees yellow bright golden yellow,
in all sad places I could short armed easily reach.
But I also got paint on my hands face clothes.
In my wonderful joy I got paint on my clothes.
My apparently best going to town best clothes.
My mother punished me for painting the trees.
And the leaves a bright joyous yellow colour.
For making a small part
of this dull adult world.
A golden magical shinning
bright fairy glade place.
For painting making a small part
of this dull adult fading world.
A golden orb magical shinning
bright mystical fairy glade place.
For trying to make the tired
world a better magical place.
Thus were childhood dreamers
often beaten into submission.
By those who failed to see
the divine presence in dreams.
By those who failed to see
the magical sparkle in dreams.

Poems of great poets
I used to read poems of great poets
They had great sense of humor but looked quiet
They were all in their late seventies
Full of experience and knowledge to influence young of twenties
I was not at all fascinated but greatly influenced
I looked with shame as some of words were not correctly pronounced
I was shocked in disbelief and it was quite disheartening
This all seemed to me as if end of career and its shortening
I used to wonder and watch at the sky
How easily the birds could roam and fly!
They had no restriction and could easily sing
They were armed with liberty and powerful wings
I used to hear great stories about the hard way and plight
How much great people were to struggle and fight?
Today I see them usher in great fame and in new era
This was made possible with additional effort or extra
It is good to have some literary test
It gives right way of means to prove best
The ideas can be expressed in best possible way
This also makes it possible for the tension and worries to keep away
I wondered what I would become or be able to write in future
It was just an anxiety but for something I was very sure
I would impress upon people and try to secure
The formidable position to attain and reassure
This was only dream and I was living in it
I was not at all near to it or able to fit
It was not such easy job and difficult to fulfill
All aspirations were to be realized but all in infancy stage still
It is child’s wish and may find it with good finish
It is life time desire before one is about to perish
It is not like having a desire of tasteful dish
It may remain all the way a simple but powerful wish
Most of us desire for great skill
But besieged with inferiority and zeal
Think of a poem that comes out with no feeling
Have then full thrust with will power of stealing
One may have very good zeal with poet's heart
With all concentration and dedication to start
That may improve upon with passing of phase
You will then with watching it with ease
Sincerity and skill can play a trick
One should be very simple and not strict
There should be simple and straight presentation
Even if you are unsuccessful still it will be a consolation

Somewhere there is a simple life
Somewhere there is a simple life and a world,
Transparent, warm and joyful. . .
There at evening a neighbor talks with a girl
Across the fence, and only the bees can hear
This most tender murmuring of all.
But we live ceremoniously and with difficulty
And we observe the rites of our bitter meetings,
When suddenly the reckless wind
Breaks off a sentence just begun -
But not for anything would we exchange this splendid
Granite city of fame and calamity,
The wide rivers of glistening ice,
The sunless, gloomy gardens,
And, barely audible, the Muse's voice.

The Praise of Pindar in Imitation of Horace His Second Ode, Book 4
Pindarum quisquis studet oemulari, &c.
I.
Pindar is imitable by none;
The phoenix Pindar is a vast species alone.
Whoe'er but Daedalus with waxen wings could fly
And neither sink too low nor soar too high?
What could he who followed claim
But of vain boldness the unhappy fame,
And by his fall a sea to name?
Pindar's unnavigable song,
Like a swollen flood from some steep mountain, pours along;
The ocean meets with such a voice
From his enlarged mouth as drowns the ocean's noise.
II.
So Pindar does new words and figures roll
Down his impetuous dithyrambic tide,
Which in no channel deigns to abide,
Which neither banks nor dikes control.
Whether the immortal gods he sings
In a no less immortal strain,
Or the great acts of god-descended kings,
Who in his numbers still survive and reign,
Each rich embroidered line,
Which their triumphant brows around
By his sacred hand is bound,
Does all their starry diadems outshine.
III.
Whether at Pisa's race he please
To carve in polished verse the conquerors' images,
Whether the swift, the skillful, or the strong
Be crowned in his nimble, artful, vigorous song,
Whether some brave young man's untimely fate
In words worth dying for he celebrate,
Such mournful and such pleasing words
As joy to his mother's and his mistress' grief affords,
He bids him live and grow in fame;
Among the stars he sticks his name;
The grave can but the dross of him devour,
So small is death's, so great the poet's power.
Lo, how the obsequious wind and swelling air
The Theban swan does upwards bear
Into the walks of clouds, where he does play,
And with extended wings opens his liquid way,
Whilst, alas, my timorous Muse
Unambitious tracks pursues;
Does, with weak, unballast wings,
About the mossy brooks and springs,
About the trees' new-blossomed heads,
About the gardens' painted beds,
About the fields and flowery meads,
And all inferior beauteous things,
Like the laborious bee,
For little drops of honey flee,
And there with humble sweets contents her industry.

Washington. On Huntington's picture of Washington crossing the Alleghany in early life
More proudly on thy winding course,
Dark Alleghany! flow;
The noblest burden thou couldst bear
Is on thy waters now.
But calm be every turbid wave,
And hushed be wind and storm:
There lies a Nation's destiny
Within that gallant form.
A spirit that shall stem a tide
More deep and dark than thine;
That on a night of War shall bid
The star of Victory shine.
A spirit that through coming time
Shall bear a hallowed name;
The glory of old conquerors
Shall pale before his fame.
And young Ambition on his course
Shall turn his eagle eye;
And men invoke his sainted shade
In threat'ning anarchy.
No baleful meteor shall he be,
To dazzle from afar;
But in the firmament of Fame
A fixed, a polar star!

All In All
All in all the wisdom call, you shall be young, you shall be free
Watching for the signals that some easily
Take it as a point of love, a reference place to where you are
Every step a step to set you free
All for the sake and the calling of light
Ask as you give, as you measure in time
All in all this will to give, this sacrament,
This need to live
Take it a step to bring love easily
All in all the wisdom call, you shall be young,
You shall be free
Waiting for the waiting to be free
Talk is the easy send, everyone heard
Ask as you seek the clear, ask and you can
This play is of a myriad of conscience sitting
This day is of a special way of love relating
This sight is in it, this way is in it, the dream is of the positive to make
You
Wonder
How did heaven begin?
This time is in it, this thought is in it, this light is in it,
When you see, you get it
All in all the wisdom call, you shall be young, you shall be free
Take it as it comes so easily
Well be there beside the sign, this wherewithal, this will to be,
Brining all the love thats meant to be
All in all we shall be young, we shall be free, we shall be there
All in all this time is meant to be
