Trapped Anger
with your meth lab soul,
and your rusted down
single wide trailer feet,
prodigal, where will you go now?
your mother's tears,
her cigarette burnt quilt...
your daddy's hand tools pawned
for pills and diapers.
pictures piled in a box,
wrapped in American nightmare...
you hold your baby close,
staring at a blank screen.
high school hero, college dropout,
deserter, small time criminal...
you can still smell the sunlight,
cant see past the rain.
the song of America
played on tin roofs, in hollows...
haunted by trapped anger
that has no name!

The Walking Poor
the walking poor,
from the housing projects,
and the trailer parks...
month to month,
till the checks run out...
food stamp cards,
small items stolen and pawned,
trading pills, or meth for
day to day...
the walking poor,
a multi-colored sea,
lapping at the shore of prosperity
like a bastard dog....
salvation army dressed,
often mission fed,
preyed on by the holy
bent on their salvation!
unemployment lines,
struggling for GED's....
going to school just long enough,
to use the grants to survive!
joined by the elderly,
foreclosed, and beaten.
in chairs, on canes....
not enough for their med's,
not enough money to eat...
and now the factory ghosts,
their lives sold out;
their calloused hands idle,
dangerous with anger....
walking the streets,
staring in the windows
still open.....
with bricks in their minds,
small caliber handguns in their thoughts...
the walking poor....
beating a path
...to the capital!

The Haunted
I sleep, I wake, just same.
Haunted.
Tears don't work.
Pain won't go.
Haunted.
Maybe its here to stay.
My bag of rocks.
Haunted.
No great purpose.
Just be my load.
Haunted.
To hold me back.
This heavy sack.
Haunted.
I wake today. Maybe time to pray.
Haunted.
This curse must go.
Hit lowest low.
Haunted.
Nightmare of my soul.
My mind. My heart
My entire being.
Haunted.
Haunted. Haunted. Haunted.
I am
The walking. The crawling. The waiting. The moving. The wailing.
The death defying.
I am
The Haunted.

Soul Standing By
Oo, babe.
Oh moon light, cool angel, be on us tonight.
Oh baby, pretty baby, Im wild for you alright.
You want sunlight, you get moonlight.
Splendor in the past.
Kiss of lip, oh baby, conceive a passion,
Oo, born to us tonight, oh.
Hold me tight, babe, treat me right, babe,
So deep and hot tonight, yeah.
Oh baby, pretty baby, Ill make it last all night.
Soul standing by.

Things I Forgot To Say
things i forgot to say...
smell like your hair on my fingers,
like the last glint of sunlight
trapped in evening trees.
taste like the charred flesh
of the family killed by war;
like the baby's mouth,
and the mother's nipple.
feel like poverty's prodigal children...
the heavy breathing of the old man
who works too much for too little.
hurt like the addicts eyes
staring through the empty window;
like the still a child
turned street whore,
who cannot turn away.
die like the noose around
the bullied boy's neck;
the harsh words of fear,
the trembling hand that holds the gun...
things i forgot to say...
like, 'i love you! '

I Am (Unraveled)
i am, become...
i am the fallen tree,
the broken lamp, the axe,
the message never received.
i am the flag draped
over the casket in the silent room.
i am second hand clothes,
and hand-me-down hearts...
i am your grandmother's quilt,
and your son's grave...
i am the song of the whipporwill,
and the porcupine's quill.
i am the child dreaming of a grownup world.
i am the last letter written
by the soldier far from home...
i am your father's pipe,
and your mother's favorite pot...
i am memory and woodgrain,
the fire and the hollow.
i am the smell of Jesus
in the Sunday morning sun...
i am Kentucky whiskey,
and charcoal on the grill.
i am a Chevy, a Ford, a Dodge,
and an old Rambler....
i am a fishing pole,
laying out of school...
i am the sap of America
on the very last pine.
sap, and memory,
i am America unraveled,
i am, become...

I thought our song was this..
A picture frame Hangs on a wall And I'm surprised I even noticed it at all The years have warped the frame A crack runs through the paint It’s begun to fade But the pictures still the same If you look close enough you’ll know
Sing me your song I’ll sing my song You had to go You know you’re my hero Time keeps marching on This is our song
Now I stare At an empty room But memories Give my soul a different view Of all the lives you touched You taught me so much Now angles lift you up To a place you loved so much And you’ll be welcome there
I know
Sing me your song I’ll sing my song You had to go You know you’re my hero Time keeps marching on This is our song
This is our sad goodbye (this is our sad goodbye) But it’s not a bad goodbye
Well I don’t know What I believe All I knowsoul a different view Of all the lives you touched You taught me so much Now angles lift you up To a place you loved so much And you’ll be welcome there
I know
Sing me your song I’ll sing my song You had to go You know you’re my hero Time keeps marching on This is our song
This is our sad goodbye (this is our sad goodbye) But it’s not a bad goodbye
Well I don’t know What I believe All I know Is that there more to it than me Its time for you to go To say goodbye I know I cross my T’s real slow I close my eyes If you look close enough you’ll know
Sing me your song I’ll sing my song You had to go You know you’re my hero Time keeps marching on This is our song
This is our sad goodbye (this is our sad goodbye) But it’s not a bad goodbye This is our sad goodbye (this is our sad goodbye) But it’s not a bad goodbye
This is the lyrics to Our Song By Goodnight Nurse.
I thought this could be our song, But you lied to me hurt me in everyway
why didnt you tell me you said you didnt want to loose me but you
wouldnt of. Do you think I'm that easy to get ride of? Babe I love you
but you need more trust in me. The thought of you with another girl kills
me you think its funny when you talk to me about them or I see you
look. Tell me could this be are song or my orst nightmare?
I thought this could be our song, But you lied to me hurt me in everyway

Back In The Days
When I was in high school, [1]
When I was in high school, [2]
I was very loud. [1]
I was very shy. [2]
I had a lot of friends, [1]
I had little friends, [2]
my parents were proud, [1]
my parents lived a lie. [2]
When I was in high school, [1]
When I was in high school, [2]
prom was coming next week. [1]
prom was soon coming up. [2]
Daddy bought me a dress, [1]
Momma took me to a shop, [2]
So nervous I couldn't breathe. [1]
bought me a black tux. [2]
When I was in high school, [1]
When I was in high school, [2]
I was the prettiest of them all. [1]
I wasn't noticed well. [2]
There's this boy I barely noticed, [1]
The prettiest girl in school... [2]
is so handsome and so tall. [1]
so pretty and so swell. [2]
When I was in high school, [1]
When I was in high school, [2]
he reached to hold my hand. [1]
I reached for her hand. [2]
As nervous as he was, [1]
My heart shook; my voice was weak, [2]
he asked me to the dance. [1]
I asked her to the dance. [2]
When I was in high school, [1]
When I was in high school, [2]
after the prom I got the news. [1]
I'm to go to war next week. [2]
He was drafted in the army, [1]
I wish there was a way, [2]
and to be sent off too soon. [1]
all I could do was pray. [2]
When I was in high school, [1]
When I was in high school, [2]
I watched him be taken away. [1]
I told her, 'I love you.' [2]
That tall and handsome man, [1]
Tears fell down her cheeks, [2]
is still in my heart to this day. [1]
her hand in marriage; can't take me away. [2]

Trapped Again
Here I am baby, right where you found me
Trying to break these chains that surround me
If I look a little different, its because Ive changed
Half-painted pictures are all that remains
I cant let my past mistakes
Let em bring me down
I aint waitin on no angel of mercy
Ive tried my best and I cant help myself
And Im trapped again
And I cant get out without losing you
And Im trapped again
Why cant you feel what Im going through
Im trapped again
I need an answer girl, cant you see
Im trapped again
Come and rescue me
Monday morning came so fast
What a fool to think that dreams would last
Close my eyes and its still so clear
Remember the night girl, the world disappeared
Cant let the hand of fate
Let it drag me down
I cant get no angel of mercy
I cam to stay but I got swept away
And Im trapped again
And I cant get out without losing you
And Im trapped again
Why cant you feel what Im going through
Im trapped again
I need an answer girl, cant you see
Im trapped again
Come and rescue me
Cant let the hand of fate
Let it drag me down
I cant get no angel of mercy
I cam to stay but I got swept away
And Im trapped again
And I cant get out without losing you
And Im trapped again
Why cant you feel what Im going through
Im trapped again
I need an answer girl, cant you see
Im trapped again
Come and rescue me
And Im trapped again
And I cant get out without losing you
And Im trapped again
Why cant you feel what Im going through
Im trapped again

Luminous Times (Hold On To Love)
Hey sister love
Hey sister soul
Hey, only love
Can turn me 'round tonight.
Hey sister love
Save my soul
Save my soul
Hold on to love
Hold on to love
Love won't let you go
Love won't let you go.
Hold onto love
See the sunshine in her song.
Hey sister love, hey sweet surrender
She comes like carnival
She is the big wheel
She turned my head around
She turned my head around
She is the speedway
She is the slipstream
She is coming 'round.
Hold on to love, hold on to love
Love won't let you go
Hold on to love, hold on to love
See the sunlight in her song
See the sunlight in her song.
She is the gun fire
She is the car crash
She is the avalanche
She is the thunder
She is the waves
And she pulls me under.
I love you 'cause I need to
Not because I need you
I love you 'cause I understand
That God has given me your hand
It holds me in a tiny fist
And still I need your kiss.
Hold on to love
Oh, see the sunlight in her song.
See the sunlight in her song, yeah!

After The Rain
I try to write a song
But I don't find any word to chant
It's been a long night
And the cold starts to numb my heart
You hold me like shadow
Clouding my mind in silence
And no one there's to help
In the dark I slowly fall
After the rain
What's left remain
For me to care
After the storm
Showed its anger
Will you still stay?
After the rain
Can I see the sun
Tomorrow
After the tears
Of sorrow
Will I grow stronger?
Tell me not to fear thunder
That roars loud shaking the soul
And I will fight it till the end
Though frail hope I've only got
After the rain
Can I stop
This agony pain
After the flood
Will mud restrain
Me to move on
After the rain
Will something be
Finally changed
After the game
Was played
Will we learn to love again?
I want to give you smile
Before it's hidden by another rain
Together we'll stand close
Or is it time for us to say goodbye?

Bottles And Diapers
Bottles and diapers soon I will have to have
When this baby will come
It will be a necessity for this baby
I will have to have plenty of bottles and diapers around
Because they run out fast specially the diapers
I don’t want to run out of the diapers when the baby is around
Bottles and diapers have to be around where I can reach
Bottles and diapers the baby will use it every day
Until he is a child
And when he gets to be a child
I won’t have to worry about bottles and diapers again

Trapped In A Box
Trapped in a box of tremendous size
It distorts my vision, it closes my eyes
Attracts filthy flies and pollutes in the skies
Sucks up our lives and proliferates lies
Trapped in a box
Trapped in a box, four walls as sky
Got a screen for a window about two feet wide
My mind rides and slides as my circuits are fried
No room for thought, use the box as my guide
Trapped in a box
Trapped in a box
Watch the world as it flocks
To lifes paradox
Were all trapped in a box
Trapped in a box Im not alone
I know of others with a box as their home
Light only enters from a crack or a hole
This is not enough for a human to grow
Trapped in a box
Chorus: always wanting a different view
Instant gratification for you
Reality gone in a single click
Just hope that that switch wont stick
Trapped in a box my life becomes void
All I thought for myself is now destroyed
Controlling my mind, what to eat, what to buy
Sublinal rules: how to live, how to die
Trapped in a box

daddy Would Come To Rock Your Cradle..
Mother said, 'Sleep baby sleep, daddy would come to rock your cradle..'
But Daddy you never came...
I waited for you in the lonely nights but you never came...
Mother said, 'Sleep baby sleep, daddy would come to rock your cradle..'
It was a moonlit night I found myself talking to the stars..'when would daddy come to tell me a story..' Now that I don't sleep in the cradle..
The wind whispered in my ear, 'Sleep baby sleep, Daddy would come when you'd blow your b'day candle..'
I remember what my Mother said..'Sleep baby sleep.....
It was my B'day..I din't blow a candle but I closed my eyes to make a wish..and I found myself saying 'Daddy you never came, please come & make me blow a candle.'
But Daddy you never came & things are not the same....
They don't love me anymore & I am waiting for you...one day you will knock the door...
Its been so many years & I'm learning how to survive..I'm lonely, my fears don't let me trust anyone..
The light of love never shines on me...
The baby inside me is so scared to open up...It still yearns for love & protection, which never rained on me...
Wish all my tears become a wish & then I then I won't cry because of the fear of loosing a wish which time could never erase...
I wish to become a baby once again, I won't sleep b'cos I want to see mommy & daddy together...
I want to relive all those moments which I spent without you...
I want to ask so many questions daddy...
Why din't you wipe my tears when I was surrounded by unknown fears..?
Did you sleep at night when I was fighting with my demons..?
Would you love me, would you hug me one day..?
I promise I'll try to forgive you.....
But I know you will never come, b'cos..you never cared for us..you are happy in your world...
I know we've come a long way & it doesn't hurt anymore...
Things will change for good..I am sure..
Oh...but it still hurts when I hear some mother singing this song once again..
''Sleep baby sleep, daddy would come to rock your cradle....'

The End of the Song
I wish I could have met you
all over again,
Then we could re-live it
all over again
The end of the song,
floods so many tears...
...so many tears
After all these lonely years
I know where your heart is
And who holds you late at night
I try endlessly to forget,
with all my might
At the end of the song
It breaks me in two
but did I really have a clue
How much I really needed you
So, when the last note is played
I know that I should have stayed
At least until the end of the song
But by this time, I knew you'd gone
The lyrics spoke to me over time
Saying I loved you and that you were mine
But at the end of the song
It all just went suddenly wrong
And the melody kept me in line
When I knew you were mine
And we used to walk through the rain
When it was your heart I tried to claim
Can I hold you once more
Before you close that door?
I won't be here, at the end of the song
I'll do my best, to play along
Now that you're gone…

Like Father Like Son!
My daddy has been busy all the while,
Holding the laptop on his dispel,
Sucking the milk bottle, I looked at him,
He smiled, smiled and smiled.
Daddy bought for me PS1,
I played with the joystick with fun,
Then came PS3, I fought not to sleep,
Daddy at his screen, still smiling.
Daddy bought for me a laptop,
To do the assignment of all sorts,
Then click certain icon,
My mouth opens wide and wide,
I have started to smile in shock.

They Call This America, Dont They?
the cum stained prayers
written on tenement walls,
where brown eyed girls, head held high...
wear poverty's drench,
backs strong and straight,
amid the pale cries of babies birthing.
roaches scatter, bare feet skim the floors,
empty cupboards whispering moan.
food stamp dreams, two days away,
they call this America, dont they?
the trailer wrecked, paper thin walls,
duct taped tile by molded tubs.
the broke down truck, the mailbox spills,
unemployed and out of time.
box fans on stolen power,
dirt faced children, starving dogs.
an American flag, a worn out Bible...
they call this America, dont they?
the old couple melting, tiny apartment,
before a black and white tv.
half filled pills, empty Alpo cans,
yellow tinged pictures on the table.
a phone that didnt ring,
before it couldnt ring...
the sound of bones grinding to dust!
dont make much noise,
who gives a damn?
they call this America, dont they?

Nobody Has A Name!
down in the poverty south,
dead body by the tracks.
another football hero,
bathtub meth and anger.
dark shadowed mother weeping,
waiting on the preacher.
while the unemployed old man,
scratches up pennies for smokes.
baptism remembered,
before erections and gunpowder.
neath the picture of his cousin,
who died in Iraq...
the old factory building collapses,
empty on empty...
Jesus died for your sins,
even He cant get a job!
sister hot and pregnant,
turns the fan on high.
the last beans have been canned,
and the rent's past due...
everything tastes like ashes,
the sky filled with angry clouds.
the old dog barks at nothing,
and lays back down to sleep.
rain mixed with hail,
pelts the tin roof with fury.
and nobody has a name,
a past, or a future!

Abu Ghraib Prison
Pictures flit across the screen,
Vile pictures ~ Truly obscene,
Bodies entangled and wound so tight,
Multiple bodies stacked for height,
Some of the subjects wore bags as masks,
One wore undies and was displayed to bask,
In the pictures were soldiers that smiled,
Proud of the art that they styled,
Laughing at the tormented men,
Slapping and smacking ~ Discipline,
American soldiers ~ Prison guards,
Sent to protect Iraq’s yards,
Protect and fight for Iraq to be free,
Sent to do good ~ Not to impede,
America proud to extend her hand,
To this country in the desert sand,
Seeing what Saddam had done,
To his people and their sons,
Murder happened everyday,
The lost were found in mass graves,
America truly wanted to give,
A better future ~ Her only motive,
Then these pictures hit the press,
American soldiers no one could dismiss,
Horror swept through this land,
This isn’t what America planned,
These pictures smacked America’s face,
And left a stain ~ A stain of disgrace,
Freedom will now live in the news,
Listen to the different views,
Democracy lives as the system weaves,
This is your chance ~ Open your eyes ~ Believe.
