At What Point....
the seasons of births and deaths go on....
waves come in to the shore,
yet then go out!
leaves fall from the tree,
while new buds wait...
stars explode into dust,
then new stars are born.
infinity changes shoes again and again,
yet the same feet walk the endless path.
are not bodies then just cups,
into which light is poured again and again?
and souls are just chapters
of an unending book....
what do we really know?
at what point do we shout hallelujah?

Seen in a Glass
Behind the tree, behind the house, behind the stars
In the presence that I cannot see
Otherwise than as house and stars and tree.
Tree, house and stars
Extend to infinity within themselves
Into the mystery of the world
Where whirl the wheels of power whose pulse beat
Out of nothing, out of night,
Leaves, stones and fires,
The living tree whose maypole dance
Of chromosome and nucleus
Traces the maze of boughs and leaves.
The standing house of stone that poured
In molten torrent when was hurled
Out of chaos this great world,
And suns whose kindling begins anew
Or ends the course that tree, house, world move through.
Upheld by being that I cannot know
In other form than stars and stones and trees
Assume in nature’s glass, in nature’s eyes.

An Imagination
intentionally i let my right hand hold my left hand
my left hand holds the branch of a tree that
holds some leaves,
my feet are on the trunk of a tree
beforehand i mentioned
there are clouds getting near us
fog that promise a cover
out there oceans sing
stars hang themselves upon a path of the horizon
all imaginary ceilings
where the moon behaves like one big chandelier
there are moment when stars and moon are simply themselves
as moon and stars without
self-imposed meanings and then all that we describe
is that it is the moon and they are the stars
no sauce for more words
nothing added nothing subtracted
faithful to the phenomenon of the stillness of what we see
to still this restlessness
we focus on what we have
a hand holding another hand
a head that looks upward to the heavens
a foot rooted like the roots of a tree
leaves falling like the wind

A Mumble....
how i wish to be just everything
a tree full of leaves where some stars hang out tonight
or just fireflies if there be no stars
that will suffice or if there are no fireflies at all
perhaps a candlelight
a lonely candle put upon one of its roots
or if there be none at all
no tree or leaf or ground
or worm
i still just wish that i be everything in that nothing
a space
an echo a dust a wind
i just want to dissipate in everything that comes my way
a memory of you in a minute
or just a crumpled paper
a dew that dries up in air
a mark on the leaf
a scratch of the stone
a left over moss
i just want to have an image of myself
something to think about
for the meantime that you are not here
i simply want to explode
scatter
till no one finds me here

Calculations
Space you measure in feet and inches
and shoes by where your big toe pinches;
seasons by cherry, rose and snow,
when may comes and swallows go:
empires by rise and fall of kings;
weather by rain and drought and flood;
dead trees by whether the dragon sings
flowers by when they seed and bud.
But how do you measure silence?
Or the space between two thoughts?
Or the point where forces balance?
Or the product of two noughts?
Or where the shadows fade to
when the sun sinks in the west?
Or how your deeds are weighed you
as your life drifts into rest?
Houses go from stone to dust.
The builder is himself undone.
The gate is broken and gone to rust.
Nothing survives from sun to sun.
What was there before the beginning
lingers when stars now born are dead;
in the absence of suns is ever shining;
when nothing is thought and nothing said.

Hallelujah
I heard there was a secret chord
That david played to pleased the lord
But you dont really care for music do you
It goes like this, the fourth the fifth
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing, hallelujah
Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you to a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
You say I took the name in vain
Well I dont even know the name
But if I did, well really, whats it to you
Theres a blaze of light in every word
It doesnt matter which you heard
The holy or the broken, hallelujah
Hallelujah...
I did my best, it wasnt much
I couldnt feel so I learned to touch
Ive told the truth, I didnt come to fool you
And even though it all went wrong
Ill stand before the lord of song
With nothing on my lips, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Well, maybe theres a God above
But all I ever learned from love
Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you
And its no complaint you hear tonight
Its not some pilgrim whos seen the light
Its a cold and broken hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah

Angels
The further you get, the better you see
Ooh yeah, it all goes on and on, infinitely
The closer you are, the better you see
Oh, within, within, there is infinity
worlds within worlds within worlds within worlds
Let your soul take you higher
There are no bounds
Let your soul take you higher
(chase your fire)
(out of love, with empty souls)
Oh look back from the stars and see we are dust
It all goes on and on and we are the dust
So why don't we laugh, and why-
why don't we sing...
in endless chords and harmonies
We're angels, dancing 'round
(repeat chorus to fade)

Your Book
Strangers came into the apartment
walked right to the bookshelf
to spill beer on your book.
Your book on a hook dangling off the roof
attracted a white horse to the door.
Your book emitted physical waves
into the air, drying my hair.
You climbed a tree to write
your book where you wouldn't be seen.
There was no tree there
until you made it.
The shimmering leaves seemed to be powered by light.
The tree shuffled this light onto strings.
The strings hung from the air.
The printers sewed your book together with them.

In Prison
I cried out for the pain of man,
I cried out for my bitter wrath
Against the hopeless life that ran
For ever in a circling path
From death to death since all began;
Till on a summer night
I lost my way in the pale starlight
And saw our planet, far and small,
Through endless depths of nothing fall
A lonely pin-prick spark of light,
Upon the wide, enfolding night,
With leagues on leagues of stars above it,
And powdered dust of stars below—
Dead things that neither hate nor love it
Not even their own loveliness can know,
Being but cosmic dust and dead.
And if some tears be shed,
Some evil God have power,
Some crown of sorrow sit
Upon a little world for a little hour—
Who shall remember? Who shall care for it?

We Are! We Are!
we are not bolts of lightning,
or even unexpected rain...
we are the work of chapters,
the forging of steel.
the spider's web empty for a month of nights,
the garden sowed again and again.
trees cut and stacked in firewood lengths,
babies born in cementaries,
atop unmarked graves.
maps lost, histories forgotten,
dull knives sharpened again and again.
footprints in sand,
that the waves wash away.
wise men following the star,
generation to generation.
brown hands picking fruit,
that never touches their lips.
we are a thousand deaths,
fires that raged and were spent.
stars formed from dust,
that return to the same.
all these things and more,
and often less...
we are the mortar between bricks,
from which life is made!
we are! we are!
and that is enough!

The Stars Look Down
Like the fly on the wheel, who says,
"What a lot of dust we're raising."
Are you under the illusion
That you're part of this scheme?
Seems like a lifetime ago
You could look with pride
On your world of dreams
What is the meaning of this'?
And the stars look down
What are you trying to do?
And the stars look down
Was it something I said
And the stars look down
Like the rat in a maze who says
"Watch me choose my own direction."
Are you under the illusion
The path is winding your way?
Are you surprised by confusion
When it leads you astray?
Have you lived a lifetime today -
Or do you feel like you just got carried away?
What is the meaning of this?
And the stars look down
What are you trying to do?
And the stars look down
Was it something I said?
And the stars look down
Something you'd like me to do?
And the stars look down

Stars Of Love
Show me the stars of love
Let me gaze upon their infinity
Where beauty sleeps in perfect light
Let me be guided by the brightest of all
Northern star to my heart shine on
Shine upon this sea to my soul
To what places I shall travel
I chart daily with a duty
This journey to you bright star
Light of the night sky in which I sleep
Watch down upon my dreams
Show me the stars above
Offer to me the heavens themselves
In all the endless depths of romance
A star lit guided heart speaks
To infinity I shall follow
To the bright star I offer my heart
Show me the stars of love
Show me their possibility

The stars connects the human hearts...
The stars connect the humans’ hearts,
their destinies are in the skies.
The Earths’ world is filled with sparks,
the souls light reflects in eyes.
And if an anger is in your heart,
the stars become so pale in soul.
The whole world becomes an art
when love and peace are as a whole.
Stars shine brightly with no fears,
even when it is crazy fall in August.
They fall on the Earth with angel tears
when saint feelings are turned to dust.
Our destiny gives a choice:
to live in harmony or wonder in the darkness.
So, please, my dears, listen to its voice!
You’ll come for sure to its brightness.

The Galaxies
the galaxies drift
the stars are swimming in the ocean
of space
it is dark but all the planets are feeling confident
there are laws to follow
there will be no collisions
the big bang was so terrible
some stars explode
on the other hand another galaxy is born
somewhere in space
all these
meteors and stars and earths
paradise
in random chaos
we must all know
is still the best poem
ever
you see? the stars over there
they are twinkling
they agree and do not question

If I Cannot Be...
if i cannot be
the stars in your blackest sky;
let me be the darkness itself,
as cupped hands,
holding the broth of light
for you to lap!
if i cannot be
the fire that warms;
let me be the howling cold,
and walk away.
if i cannot be
the flesh that enters your flesh;
let me be the absence,
and the hollow,
that only longing can fill.
if i cannot be
the dreams that lullaby;
let me be the wanting,
the needing, that leaves you
sleepless and turning.
if i cannot be
the path you walk;
let me be the soles of your shoes,
and the ground beneath.
if i cannot be,
the storm and the rain;
let me be the faint hint of lightning,
you thought you almost saw!

Graffiti; Not on Paradise wall
My wife counts the grain of sand on the shore
And I count the stars as usual in the sky.
Waves come and go and Ocean never says tired
Though we're wearied.
The path ahead complicated
But we walk towards the dawn
And I am sure Sun rises and sets again?

When Aloofness Crackle in Silence
When aloofness crackle in the silence
as if you are alone on this earth
and only have the stars, sun and moon
as your companions,
standing alone in the seasons of life,
with golden acorn leaves falling at your feet,
when the year starts to turn
with winter sneaking in silently
and later overwhelming,
always a new spring comes
with buds appearing astoundingly,
there is again the heat of summer
when that season comes to its fullness.

Sun And Moon
There is a sun and moon for every star in this sky,
Births of stars followed by deaths, comfort us faintly.
The stars in the atmosphere carry affection as they flash and blink,
Much like us in a way all.
There is a star in this galaxy too far away it hurts
My eyes when I look at it with pain as I lengthen my stare,
The gaze I wear is ancient, more like the star-gazers
And not the astronomers of our age.
More stars ensue, more are in horizon,
With hearts and hurts, full of love and life,
But we are endangered by them, their glare
And monuments defeat us in ways known to Man.

Winds Of Seasons With Hands Of Hope
i hear the wind
by the wind sound
talking to the waves
with a wind sound
mounted upon the leaves
on the ground
to wind through
and around the leaves proudly
as it runs through me so loudly
and mannered towards me so gladly
to sing a song
by the winds of seasons
as they change in seasons
and cheer in different joy
i feel the wind under me
i can see the sun shine over me
i can walk along the path to sober me
and sleep around the hands on me
to hold me with hands of hope
as all hands do matter
to hold each soul
with hope
today and the days ever
to let the hands of hope
touch my heart
and cleanse me for yet a season
in winds of seasons

Explode
Vera's face burnt as a memory of bedroom fun
With a lighter and some hairspray
Smoking in the girls' room
Not worse than Shelley's rape behind the McDonald's
By a man she thought was fine, didn't tell anybody
Or maybe back then we just thought that she was getting some
Now we look back and see that she didn't know how
We never thought that we'd get caught up
Stuck in the teenage waste
As we explode
As we explode
As we explode
As we explode
Then getting drunk in the bushes by the road outside the Kmart
Rolling around in them to see if you would get prickled
Slip the acid on your tongue rooftop mall parkade
We couldn't get enough
Then count the stars and the ten million woes
Just you and the universe judging each other
We never knew that we'd get caught up
Stuck in the teenage waste
As we explode
As we explode
As we explode
As we let go
It's a fight, it's a fight and you finally belong
Got a shiner now and it's more than a battle scar
More than a battle scar, such a good, good story to tell
At lunch break, lunch break, lunch break, lunch break
Such a good, good story to tell
You bully, you break, you bully, you break
You fake, you fake, you fake, you fake
You smoke, you toke, you want, you flaunt, you hit it and you're in it and it's spinning
And it's wild
We never thought that we'd get caught up
Stuck in the teenage waste
As we explode
As we explode
As we explode
As we let go
We're counting the stars
We're counting the stars
We're gonna go far, we're gonna go far
We're counting the stars, we're counting the stars
We're not very far, we're not very far
And it's you and me in the open air
It's truth or dare, we don't care
We're counting the stars, we're counting the stars, we're counting the stars, we're counting the stars

Waiting for you
Waiting for you
Waiting by the strand of the sea, the sand
cold and wet, the moon in silence guards my path,
the wait is tedious and long for I feel is not in vain,
the tide was rising in a rather slow motion, I could
smell the scent of the ocean, a scent I can't see.
Countless of stars in the sky each with a unique gallant,
the air fondly indulged my face, and a tranquil
feeling drew me to a state of peace, a cadence voice
singing like angels in the wind. A thousand years may
pass me by, counting the grains of sand, endless till
I fade away with them, I'll walk the shore with freezing
toes, with no hands to hold me warm. I'm still here near
the moon, near the waves that call your name,
they hear my heart, they keep the secret I pour in tears,
I wait here still and weary with my head up with a
little left of my happy heart…
