Doll In A Carriage
She wants to be like her mommy
so she places her doll in a carriage.
She does not know that a mommy
should precede this event with marriage.
She covers the doll with a blanket
to keep her dolly warm.
She does not know that a mommy
is always in uniform.
White as a nurse for the babe that's sick,
an umbrella for the storm,
frazzeled, unkempt from nights awake,
worn out from lack of sleep.
Bedecked and proper for her husband
whose love she wants to keep.
She's unaware of all of this
but her innate mothering is there.
So she pushes her doll and is happy.
She has no mother's care.

Mommy Why?
**This poem is not about me...it just came out of my head**
Why did they rip your heart out, mommy?
Why did they hate you so much?
Mommy, why didn't they accept you
Mommy why?
Why are you dead mommy?
What did they do?
How did it happen?
Mommy, why did it have to happen to you?
Oh i need to know why
Mommy please come back
Mommy i'm sorry i called you a bitch
Mommy i really don't hate you
Mommy please come back, i need you

Mommy & Daddy
Ask your mommy and daddy, what happened to the indian?
How come theyre all living in places
With too much snow or too much sand?
Tell your mommy, I got a funny feeling deep inside of me
Ask your daddy, is it really as bad as people make it seem?
Wa ta tick it ta too too..
Ask your mommy why everybody swallows all those little pills
Ask your daddy why that soldier doesnt care who he kills
After theyve put you to sleep and tucked you safely down in your bed
Whisper, mommy and daddy would you rather that
I learned it from my friends, instead?
Do you think Im to young to know, to see, to feel, or hear
My questions need an answer or a vaccuum will appear
Dont be surprised if they turn and walk away
And tell your mommy and daddy that you love them anyway
That you love them anyway...
Give them a kiss
Love will set you free
Kings of emi
Mommy and daddy (alt.)
Ask your mommy and daddy, what happened to the indian?
Ask your mommy and daddy to tell you where you really came from
Then mommy and daddy will probably turn and quickly walk away
Then ask your mommy and daddy who really killed j.f.k
Wa ta tick it ta too too...
Ask your mommy if she really gets off on all her - all her pills
Ask your daddy, why doesnt that soldier care who he kills?
After theyve put you to sleep and tucked you safely down in your bed
Whisper mommy and daddy,
Would it matter if the bullet went through my head?
If it was my blood spilling on the kitchen floor
If it was my blood, mommy, would you care a little more?
Dont be surprised when they turn and start to cry
And tell your mommy and daddy, tell your mommy and daddy
Scream it to your mommy and daddy
Theyre living in a lie, a lie, a lie
Its all a lie, a lie, a lie
A lie, a lie...

Someone Is Going To Pay For This
'MOMMY? '
Why are you screaming like that?
You nearly scared me to death.
That look...
In your eyes.
What is wrong?
'Mommy?
The sky.
I saw the sky...
And it was blue.
No?
What did I tell you about lieing?
'It's true mommy.
It's true.
My friends and I just left the beach.
And it was covered with...'
Go on!
Don't cry.
Mother's here.
'Mommy?
It was covered with 'white' sand! '
LIES!
'And...
We saw people smiling.
At us.'
Where is my gun?
I want you to stay in this house.
Go to your room.
Don't go anywhere.
I'll be right back.
'Where are you going, mommy? '
Someone is trying to feed my child with delusions.
And I don't like it one bit.
We are here to trash this world.
Not respect it.
Do you understand that?
DO YOU?
'Yes, mommy! '
You go to your room.
I'll be right back.
Someone is going to pay for this.

Happiness is...(part two)
Kids do the cutest things...
I say to my daughter
'Daddy wants to sleep now'
The little one, of 22 months, says 'Not me! '
Shaking her head vigorously
My daughter wants to crawl under my covers
So I let her
She climbs on the bed
When Mommy enters, she says
'Come on, Daddy wants to sleep'
Her answer 'Ok, fine, I promise! '
Mommy laughs
And leaves
Just as she exits
My daughter exclaims 'Lights Mommy! '
So Mommy again laughs
Turns out the lights
Then after a minute or so
She gets up
Gives me a kiss
Climbs down the bed
And leaves me
And says 'Goodnight sweet dreams! '
Ask me what Happy is
This, This is Happy
Baby Doll
Girl of my dreams she dont love me
Always the way it seems to be
My baby doll
Light of my life she turns it on
Over my head not close enough
My baby doll
Baby doll
You look so good
Baby doll
You feel so big
Baby doll
You let me have it
Why did you do it baby doll
Quick-tempered queen knows what she wants
And what I got is what its not
My baby doll

I Wanna Be
when i was four years old
i used to say
mommy, i wanna be a teacher
mommy, i wanna be a superhero
when i was six years old
i used to say
mommy, i wanna be a president
mommy, i wanna be rich
when i was eight years old
i used to say
mommy, who do you wanna be? ?
she smiled at me and kiss my head '
when i was twelve years old
i used to say
mommy, i wanna a be a doctor
mommy, i wanna be an engineer
when i was fourteen years old
that's when i begin to understand the way of life
i used to say
mommy, why life is unfair
why it always want to hurt us
now i'm sixteen years old
i'd say
mom, i wanna be
i wanna who i am
i wanna be the person god wants me to be
i wanna follow my dream
i wanna listen to my own heart talking
that 's who
i wanna be

When Mommy's Sick (Children)
Mommy's sick in bed today.
Doctor says she has the flu.
Sissy's got a stuffy nose
and she might get it, too.
When Mommy's sick it makes us sad
she doesn't feel so good.
She's having juice and medicine
like the doctor said she should.
It's not the same when Mommy's sick,
our hugs are all sick, too,
and kisses for our boo-boo's
also have the flu.
Our sads are even sadder
so our happy's aren't as glad
and when we're being naughty,
that even feels more bad.
Let's get her better, Sissy!
Get some more juice in her
'cause I remember something else,
ewwww... Daddy's cooking dinner...
What Children Worry About
Mommy
Mommy, mommy
what’s going on in the world today?
Mommy am I going to be OK?
I heard some kids were wearing bombs
and blowing people up..
Mommy their world is very far away.
They can’t come here, right mommy?
Am I going to be OK.

Daddy
Daddy, daddy
I asked mommy some questions yesterday,
and tears were in her eyes.
She’s really scared daddy,
I know the reason why.
The kids with bombs,
might be here in our schools.
They won’t listen to the rules.
Mommy is really scared that one day,
you’ll both have no choice but to send me away

Mommy, Daddy
Mommy, Daddy, there’s no reason to fear
I figured it out late last night.
I said the words for God to hear.
I know He knows all things
and will do what’s right,
sooo… we say the words for God to hear,
everyday and every night.
Guess what Mommy, Daddy
everything will be alright.
Mommy, why are you still crying? ? ?

Lover Doll
(words & music by wayne - silver)
Lover doll, oh lover doll
Lover doll, lover doll
Youre the cutest lover doll
That I ever did ever see
Let me tell you lover doll
You were meant, just meant for me
On the first time that I saw you
How I fell for your cuddly charms
Lover doll Im crazy for you
Let me rock you in my arms
Im so glad I found you
Never thought dollies came full grown
Im gonna tie a ribbon around you
Wrap you up and take you home
I would never treat you badly
Like a cast away broken toy
Lover doll I love you madly
Let me be your lover boy
Im so glad I found you
Never thought dollies came full grown
Im gonna tie a ribbon around you
Wrap you up and take you home
I would never treat you badly
Like a cast away broken toy
Lover doll I love you madly
Let me be your lover boy
Lover doll, lover doll
Lover doll, lover doll
Lover doll, lover doll
Let me be your lover boy
Lover doll, lover doll
Lover doll, lover doll
Lover doll, lover doll
Let me be your lover boy
Let me be your lover boy
Let me be your lover boy

Dressing the Doll
THIS is the way we dress the Doll:—
You may make her a shepherdess, the Doll,
If you give her a crook with a pastoral hook,
But this is the way we dress the Doll.
Chorus
Bless the Doll, you may press the Doll,
But do not crumple and mess the Doll!
This is the way we dress the Doll.
First, you observe, her little chemise,
As white as milk, with ruches of silk;
And the little drawers that cover her knees,
As she sits or stands, with golden bands,
And lace in beautiful filagrees.
Chorus
Now these are the bodies: she has two,
One of pink, with rouches of blue,
And sweet white lace; be careful, do!
And one of green, with buttons of sheen,
Buttons and bands of gold, I mean,
With lace on the border in lovely order,
The most expensive we can afford her!
Chorus
Then, with black at the border, jacket
And this—and this—she will not lack it;
Skirts? Why, there are skirts, of course,
And shoes and stockings we shall enforce,
With a proper bodice, in the proper place,
(Stays that lace have had their days
And made their martyrs); likewise garters,
All entire. But our desire
Is to show you her night attire,
At least a part of it. Pray admire
This sweet white thing that she goes to bed in!
It ’s not the one that ’s made for her wedding:
That is special, a new design,
Made with a charm and a countersign,
Three times three and nine times nine:
These are only her usual clothes.
Look, there ’s a wardrobe! gracious knows
It ’s pretty enough, as far as it goes!
So you see the way we dress the Doll:
You might make her a shepherdess, the Doll,
If you gave her a crook with pastoral hook,
With sheep, and a shed, and a shallow brook,
And all that, out of the poetry-book.
Chorus
Bless the Doll, you may press the Doll,
But do not crumple and mess the Doll!
This is the way we dress the Doll;
If you had not seen, could you guess the Doll?

Shabby Doll
Giving you more of what for
Always worked for me before
Now Im a shabby doll
Whats going on behind the green elevator door
With just a shabby doll
Theres a hit man facing
A compromising situation
With just a shabby doll
And a very neat line in character assassination
Shes just a shabby doll
Shes just a shabby doll
Shes putting him off and putting you on
Shes just the shabby doll
Youre swearing upon you know in your heart
Shes gone you know in your heart
Shes just a shabby doll
Theres a girl in this dress
Theres always a girl in distress
Shes just a shabby doll
Shes so sure shes self-possessed
Then again shes half undressed
Shes just a shabby doll
The boy that I used to be
Showed no sign of sympathy
For just a shabby doll
I have betrayed you and me
And paid for my own bribery
With just a shabby doll
(chorus)
Hes the tired toy that everyone enjoyed
He wants to be a fancy man but hes nothing but a nancy boy
Hes all pride and no joy
And being what you might call a whore
Always worked for me before
Now Im a shabby doll
Untie the gag the cats out of the bag
But wont show his claws
Hes just a shabby doll
She said you must be joking
Some things are left unspoken
Youre just a shabby doll
Hes lying limp and soaking
He was openly broken
By just a shabby doll
(chorus)

Bedtime For Toys
Close your eyes, beddy bye tin soldier,
Mommy says that its time for sleep,
If my folks were wiser and older,
Theyd know kids and toys dont need sleep.
Dont be bad little cotton dolly,
See how nice mickey mouse sleeps now?
Even my brass drummer boy has stopped all his noise,
Cause he knows its past bedtime for toys.
(speaking)
Ya know, every christmas santa claus goes all over the world with his reindeer,
Sled, and a big bag of toys and hell come to your house this year too.
But sometimes, just sometimes, he doesnt have enough time to see every little boy and girl because the world is so big.
So maybe we should sing a song for all the children that santa didnt visit.
Bless the child who has no tin soldier,
No brass drummer boy to put to bed.
He will still grow wiser and older,
Loving one small rag doll instead.
He wont have a cotton dolly,
Mickey mouse wont come to his house.
Hold that rag doll to your heart, nothing can destroy
The beauty one shall find in one small toy

The Small Little Rag Doll
The small little rag doll
Made with love
Each stitch sown
By tender loving hands
Places under the tree
Wrapped in Xmas cheer
The little rag doll
A waits to be held
Small young hands
Rips wrappers apart
And smile with delight
At the little rag doll
The gingham dress
The Goldie lock hair
And sown on smile
Make a small child gasp
At a beautiful sight
Loving she holds
The little rag doll
And makes her a bed
In her make believe world
Her mother look’s on
With pride and Joy
That her little baby girl
Loves her little rag doll.

An Unborn Child's Poem
Today my life began, but some say I’m not a real person yet,
Yes they say only Mommy exist, because me they have not yet met.
But just like a small crumb of bread is yet truly a bread,
My Mommy is and so am I, so they once in the Bible have read.
Yes for even when I was made in secret,
God saw even the embryo of me,
In a fear-inspiring way, I am wonderfully made,
even now to be.
Just think in a year or so, I shall be laughing and later talking,
Mommy and Daddy will be the first to see me walking.
Only 20 days, but my heart is beating on its own,
Gently beating, whispers of a lovely tone.
I am to be a girl, with blond hair and blue eyes,
I am growing a bit every day, and becoming very wise.
I want to learn to sing and dance,
To giggle and love at every chance.
To make Mommy and Daddy very proud of me,
When I become a young lady to be.
When I graduate, I want to be an artist or maybe even a scientist,
I know Mommy would support me, even if I pick another one on my list.
Tup-tup, tup-tup, are you listening Mommy to the whispers of my heart,
Suddenly today I feel differently on my part.
I scream with silent tears, “No Mommy I’m not ready to come on out,
I wonder if she hears my little shout.
I love you Mommy, I need more time to be with you,
I love you Mommy, Do you love me too.
I want to get married, and have my own kids to love and to hold,
To treat you nice and take care of you when you and I grow old.
My hopes and dreams disappeared in a instant and suddenly without a thought,
Mommy did not stop to think how very hard for my life I did fought.
Yes today I took my last little breath, never to have a chance to see,
The possibilities that I can be, Because today was the day that my Mommy killed me!

I Miss My Mom
Mommy I miss you
Mommy I love you
Mommy you are everything for me
You are my best mom
You are my best friend
You are helping me more than I had seen
You always miss and care about me all the time
When every time I miss you
Sometime I cry
Sometime I feel like I want to die without you
Well, if someone read this they will think that I'm a weirdo
Because I act like a little kid that cry over a yo-yo
Yes. I agree I am if you give your love to other kid and not me
And yes. I am a jealous type of girl about my mom
Every year for mother day
I saw a lot of people buy gift for their mom with a smile on their face
But my eyes are watering and crying
I get jealous
I wish that my mom will be with me
I always think that if other people get sad or happy
Their mom will be the first one that they share
But for me I have no one
I get jealous when I saw someone mom really care about their child
Because why? Because I need a love from my mom
I mean she give me almost everything except she not here with me
Sorry mom, I really crying right now… I have nothing else to say beside I wanted to stay with you I hope my wish will come true…

Spinal Meningitis Got Me Down
Why they wanna see my spine mommy?
Why they wanna see my spine?
It's gonna hurt again mommy
Much worse than last time
Am I gonna see God, mommy?
Am I gonna die?

Am I gonna die?
Smile on mighty Jesus
Spinal meningitis got me down
I'm feelin' grasy mommy
Please don't let me die
Stinky vaseline mommy

Melodie's Song
because i'm the smallest of them all
i don't do things that are tall.
i have more magic per inch of stuffing
as you can see i'm not bluffing
bluffing when i say
i can make every child have a 'very happy birthday! '
oooh, oooh, how i really like being a smal doll!
oooh, oooh, how i like not being tall!
oooh, oooh, i am sooo happy, happy as can be!
i'm your intergalatic doll named melodie!
i like visit different places and look for birds in the trees.

An' Ma say so, 'most ever' day.
An' she's the _funniest_ Ma! 'Cause when
My Doll won't mind, an' I ist cry,
W'y, nen my Ma she sob an' sigh,
An' say, 'Dear _Good_ little girl, good-bye!--
_Bad_ little girl's comed here again!'
Last time 'at Ma act' thataway,
I cried all to myse'f awhile
Out on the steps, an' nen I smile,
An' git my Doll all fix' in style,
An' go in where Ma's at, an' say:

The Simple Prayer Of A Child
'missing in action'...
they didnt know...
dont get your hopes up,
we're doing all we can...
she lay on the bed
and wept uncontrollably...
the little boy sat in the darkness,
thinking...
he got down off his bed,
and down on his knees:
'God, if you're out there,
if you're real...
help my mommy, help me,
bring my daddy home! '
the room was still,
he could hear his own breathing...
suddenly light poured through
the window, and flooded his room.
the little boy got up
and ran to his mother's side.
'mommy, mommy, daddy's ok,
he's not lost...'
'what do you mean, honey?
what are you saying? '
'he's not lost, mommy...
remember what he said
before he left...
he's in our hearts! '
she took the little boy
in her arms and hugged him...
they fell asleep in the stillness.
the next morning the phone rang.
she answered, and listened,
her mouth agape...
'what is it mommy, what is it? '
she put down the phone...
'they found him, he's ok,
they said it was dumb luck...'
they hugged each other crying.
dumb luck, i think not...
the simple prayer of a child!
