Four oclock in the afternoon
And I didnt feel like very much.
I said to myself, where are you golden boy,
Where is your famous golden touch?
I thought you knew where
All of the elephants lie down,
I thought you were the crown prince
Of all the wheels in ivory town.
Just take a look at your body now,
Theres nothing much to save
And a bitter voice in the mirror cries,
Hey, prince, you need a shave.
Now if you can manage to get
Your trembling fingers to behave,
Why dont you try unwrapping
A stainless steel razor blade?

You'd go in, read the script once for timing and then you would sit around and play games. The sound effects people would come in and we would do a dress rehearsal so they could get the effects and the music cues in place. Then you would wait until you went on the air.
I don't rehearse films as much as opera or theatre. When I began directing films I thought a long rehearsal was a good idea. Experience showed me that the best performance was often left in a rehearsal room.

Only Truth Can Prevail With Consistency
Whomever believes this life God has given us,
Should be made easier...
Does not pray enough.
Not in constant daily prayer.

Sometimes she walks through the village in her
little red dress
all absorbed in restraining herself,
and yet, despite herself, she seems to move
according to the rhythm of her life to come.
