So Far Across The Sea

Africans at home and abroad!
Physical,
Spiritual,
Culture and heritage,
Uprising roots,
Recorded;
Destination,
But, everything occuring now is part os prophecy.
Love is that thing,
To check-in and to check-out!
Summer time,
Winter time,
African stars! !
Legends,
Living legends;
For, there is a land so far across the sea.

Check It Out

Million young poets
Screamin?out their words
To a world full of people
Just livin?to be heard
Future generations
Ridinon the highways that we built
I hope, that they have better understanding
Check it out
Goin to work on monday
Check it out
Got yourself a family
Check it out
All utility bills have been paid
You cant tell your best buddy
That you love him
So check it out
Where does our time go
Check it out
Got a brand new house in escrow
Check it out
Sleepin?with your back
To your loved one
This is all, we have learned
About happiness
Check it out,
Forgot to say hello to my neighbours
Check it out
Sometimes i question my own behavior
Check it out
Talkin?about the girls, weve
Seen on the sly
Just to tell our souls
Were still the young lions
So check it out
Gettin?too drunk on saturdays
Check it out
Playin?football with the kids
On sundays
Check it out
Soaring with the eagles all week long
And this is all, we have learned
About living
This is all, we have learned
About living
A million young poets
Screamin?out their words
Maybe someday
Those words will be heard
By future generations
Ridin?on the highways that we built
Maybe theyll have a better understanding
Check it out
Maybe theyll have a better understanding
Check it out
Maybe theyll have a better understanding
Check it out
Maybe theyll have a better understanding
Check it out
Hope theyll have a better understanding
Check it out ...

Will You? for friend Thad

The singing spring, a sacred well.
Is heard to sing so legends tell.
At midnight when the moon is full.
They say the singing’s wonderful.

So beautiful you are entranced
until the sunrise sets you free.
You basic nature is enhanced.
So you are changed; permanently.

The good become even better.
The wicked ones grow much worse.
These rules are followed to the letter.
Bring changes which you can’t reverse.

I was advised to stay indoors
on evenings when the moon was full
I disregarded this of course.
When you are young you play the fool

I did not believe the tales were true
So I resolved to check it out
a very foolish thing to do
But Now I know I have no doubt.

I was a young and headstrong fool
Although that does not change a thing.
I went there when the moon was full
And heard the singing of the spring.

That’s why I sit here on death row.
I grew to enjoy violence.
I killed a man with just one blow.
Although I pleaded self defence.

The jury found I was guilty.
I know I didn’t mean to kill.
The evidence convicted me.
It seemed to be an act of will.

It seems I can’t escape the fate
The sacred well foresaw for me
I know now when it is too late
I must fulfil the prophecy.

I can’t complain I made the choice
I should listened carefully
But no I had to hear the voice
I went there unbelievingly.

I should have known but I did not
Old legends are based on some truth.
That’s why the legends aren’t forgot.
Except by disbelieving youth.

I must accept the penalty
There is nothing I can do.
One morning they will come for me.
Not pleasant to look forward to.

So heed my words and heed them well.
Do not ignore the legends that you hear
The strange tales that the old wives tell.
Although their meanings are not clear.

It won’t harm you stay indoors
on evenings when the moon is full.
It is by far the wisest course.
It never hurts to be careful.

Although you are a modernist
and can’t believe the tales are true
The ancient legends still persist.
The question is my friend Will you?

Legends

A legend has emerged from the deep,
Instilling hatred for the time being,
The destruction of the times we call the floods
Carried new legends, for the old legends were dead.
The acts of a past guarantee success, fullness,
Words mean a noise of obvious strength.
The old legends speak authority,
But new have effects of the backbone
For the structure of society is never weak.
The depth of the myths surrounding this walk
Is the whole society, the entire humankind.

The Home Of The Irish

The Land where the famous stout Guinness is made
And that Imperialist Armies often did invade
And that has suffered in the political and religious divide
A problem that now seems to be Worldwide.

It's history seems complex and hard to understand
It's Patron Saint Patrick is of another Land
He did come from Scotia as we have been told
That's going back in time to a history that's old.

Myths and legends through the centuries about it have grown
By names such as Tir Na Nog and Hibernia it once has been known
Tribes such as the Laiginian, Milesians, Fir Bolg and De Danaan lived there before the Celts arrived
Though mostly only oral history of their existence 'twould seem has survived.

A Land in the North Atlantic that always looks green
Of legends such as Fionn MacCumaill, Kathleen Ni Houlihan and Dark Rosaleen
A Country that does have many claims to fame
The home of the Irish and Ireland it's name.

Disengaged Warriors

Wearing darkness
With an empty smile
Conformed crowd
Safety in numbers
Gleefully mount
Their moral towers
Fruitless, lipservice
Scatters words
Wise in their own eyes
Deaf-blind to others
Campaign addicts
House – check
Green wellies - check
Holidays – check
Sat-Nav – Check
Cause for the day is…
Dib, dib, dib…O yes!
Badge, wristband – check
Like yes… really…ok….
Car – check
Causes – check
Opinion – unchecked.
Tirelessly they bore to death
Disengaged warriors for change
Pour lipservice onto wounds
Change for you, change for me,
No change for them – change – check.
Brown rice brigade - check
Disengaged – check!

So Good So Right

This one is special for all the ladies
You never know I was that type of man
So good so right so good so, so good so
right so good so
So good so right so good so, so good so
right so good so
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
But you keep on watching the time,
Wondering what's on my mind
So you say you can't stay too long, cause
You know what I'm all a...
What I'm all about, what I'm all about
I don't have to sing and shout, what I'm
All about
You know what I'm all about
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Yes it's the truth it's the fact, I'm coming
To you straight from
The back in a mastering room style
Don't be shy, don't you lie, look into my
Eye
I'll tell you why, I'll teach you about
Feeling high
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Never before have you seen this, so I say
This feeling sink within my head, oh yea,
Oh yea
Never before have you believe it, so I mean
What I say
You just got to be yourself
Feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
Yea, feel so good about something so
Right could it last another night
A feel so good about something so right
A feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
So good so right so good so, so good so
Right so good so
So good so right so good s, so good so
Right so good so
Yes it is the strife of my life, to explain
What's in my brain
If you believe what I say, baby, baby
A check in, check in, check check, check in
Check in
Check in, check in, check in, a check in,
Check in, check into my hotel
A feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
A feel so good about something so right
Could it last another night
So good, so right, so good, so right, so
Good, so right
So right, I feel so good could it last
Another night
A feel so right could it last another
Night
A feel so good something so right, so
Good
Lord, I said I feel so right
A feel so good, oh could it last another
Night
A feel so right, oh could it last another
Night
A feel so good oh could it last another
Night
A feel so right oh could it last another
Night
So good, o right, so good, so right, so
Good, so good, so right

Check It

Something isnt right
I get the feeling Im not driving
Something hasnt quite
Taken over but its trying
Check it, check it
The question now is time
The hours pass so slowly
I know were moving out of line
But thats the risk youre taking with me
I flicker like an old film - black white
Im losing track of whats real - I know
My sense of timings not quite - ok
Maybe Ill stay tonight - so so
Fadeout, as in lose
My character is shrapnel
Broken by the views
Of men who claim to know all
(there is to know)
Something isnt right
I get the feeling I am no-one
Something hasnt quite
Stopped me from being someone
Nothing in the mirror - check it
No photo by my bedside - check it
My self control is missing - check it
Ill leave with your permission - check it

Maps & Legends

Hes not to be reached, hes to be reached.
Hes not to be reached, hes to be reached.
Called the fool and the company,
On his own where hed rather be.
Where he ought to be, he sees what you cant see,
Cant you see that?
Maybe hes caught in the legend,
Maybe hes caught in the mood.
Maybe these maps and legends
Have been misunderstood.
Down the way the roads divided,
Paint me the places you have seen.
Those who know what I dont know
Refer to the yellow, red and green
Maybe hes caught in the legend,
Maybe hes caught in the mood.
Maybe these maps and legends
Have been misunderstood.
Hes not to be reached, hes to be reached. (4 times)
The map that you painted didnt seem real.
He just sings whatever hes seen
Point to the legend, point to the east,
Point to the yellow, red and green
Maybe hes caught in the legend,
Maybe hes caught in the mood.
Maybe these maps and legends
Have been misunderstood, been misunderstood.
(maps and legends)
(maps and legends) is he to be reached?
Hes not to be reached.
(maps and legends) is he to be reached?
Hes not to be reached.
(maps and legends) is he to be reached?
Hes not to be reached anymore.

Uprising Roots

Uprising roots,
Blue grass in the sky;
Uprising roots,
Love under the sea;
Uprising roots,
In the deep!
White in white and,
Black in black;
But, underrated by your love.
Seven years of hope!
On the blue mountains;
And to take up a trip to let it show,
But, life is like a journey to us all.
The roots of life,
To put the stereo on!
But, i have a long way to go.

Chemical Love

People goin round
Tellin others they are square
Around and round in circles
Is a ride that goes somewhere
All you need to fly
Is a heart dying to try
A chemical love
Its a chemical love
Aint nothin to it
Gettin cash when you are broke
Doin lots of time
Is worth a little snort of coke
Infected needles
Can aid you in no time
Through chemical love
Youve got a chemical love
Some people crave for physical love
Some people crave material love
Yet fewer crave for spiritual love
Youve got a chemical jones
Youve got a chemical love
Yeah, a chemical love
Youve got chemical love
Some people find themselves hooked on the
Weirdest things
That have nothing to do with living
Gods gift to us is our life whats ours to him
If its not our love, then nothings given, given
Some people crave for physical love
Some people crave material love
Yet fewer crave for spiritual love
Youve got a chemical jones
For a chemical love
Yes its true
The best things in life are free
Not material
Chemical or physically
Try it for yourself
Youll get a guaranteed high
From spiritual love, natural miracle drug
Some people crave for physical love
Some people crave material love
Yet fewer crave for spiritual love
Youve got a chemical jones
Youve got a chemical love
Youve got a chemical love
For a chemical drug
Some people crave for physical love
Some people crave material love
Yet fewer crave for spiritual love
You need a spiritual jones
For that spiritual love
Im talking to you
We all could do with spiritual jones
For some spiritual love

Somethings Missing

Im not alone, I wish I was
cause than Id know, Im down because,
I couldnt find, a friend around
To love me like, they do right now.
They do right now.
A desert frown, the shopping malls
I search for joy, then plot it out.
And all is well, I cant complain.
It is just a game, its just a phase.
And I cant tell you just whats keeping me down.
Somethings missing,
And I dont know how to fix it.
Somethings missing,
And I dont know what it is, no I dont know what it is
I dont.
And autumn comes, it doesnt last.
It just walks in, with a bat to lash.
And you never know, when it starts
Until theres fog inside the glass around your summer heart
I cant put my finger on whats keeping me down.
Somethings missing,
And I dont know how to fix it.
Somethings missing,
And I dont know what it is, no I dont know what it is now.
I cant be sure that this state of mine, is not of my own desire
I wish there was an over the counter test, for loneliness.
For loneliness like this.
Somethings missing,
And I dont know how to fix it.
Somethings missing,
And I dont know what it is, no I dont know what it is.
Friends, check. money, check.
Guitar, check. happy home, check. microphone, check.
And I dont know what it is, no I dont know what it is
At all

Vampires

Few creatures of the night have captured our imagination like vampires.
What explains our enduring fascination with vampires?
What is it about the vampire myth that explains our interest?
Is it the overtone of sexual lust, power and control?
Or is it a fascination with the immortality of the undead?
And what dark and hidden parts of our psyche are aroused and captivated
by the legends of the undead, by the legends of the undead,
by the legends of the undead.
The mystery of the undead will continue to fascinate the living.
Few creatures of the night have captured our imagination like vampires.
What explains our enduring fascination with vampires?
And what dark and hidden parts of our psyche are aroused and captivated
by the legends of the undead, by the legends of the undead?

Africa United

Long time mi waiting ole long, waiting waiting ole long
AFRICA united, is part of my plan
Taking charge of the resource to get back the land
Time again, time is now, time is right, Time for God

Look how long I been waiting, look how long I’ve been waiting
AFRICA united, is part of my plan
Taking charge of the resource to getting back our land
Time again, time is now, time is right, use God as your might

I’m African; we are standing here holding on
No deals daag, it either everything or none
I’m African, and so is everyone who comes from Africa
You can not denied your super sub natural complexion

We are powerful, we are black we are black

Mother land, creation, thru the father God
Free the land and bring liberty in our hands
On to the day is can feel the disposition of the wrongs
Free the mother land, free Africa is the ultimate plan
Feel excitement, joy, in the hearts of the land
To see the children moving about and smiling
And to cater to ones that are sad and crying
Time to sacrifice our time our last dime
For the land, for the land, for the land, for the land

Don’t let anyone break the spiritual down
Never give up a fight, never them dem your frown
We go, stop on the top, top of this Game is right
Open up to God, He is the ultimate might

Once again, we have the plan,
Driving you wild, as good as we can!
Dont stop us now, were gonna make you move,
Raving outside to the passionate groove...
So I wanna check the microphone, I wanna check the microphone, I wanna check! I wanna check!
The rick, the ferris, and mc h.p... scooter! back in the uk!

Somewhere in england, banging the bass!
Join our trip, to this weird place!
Back to nature, where we can be...faster and harder, louder and free!
So I wanna check the microphone, I wanna check the microphone, I wanna check! I wanna check!
The rick, the ferris, and mc h.p...scooter! back in the uk!

We started in 1994!
In 1996, were still on the case!
Hold tight crew!!!
Together...no one can stop us now!!!
So I wanna check the microphone, I wanna check the microphone, I wanna check! I wanna check!
The birds, the trees, the clouds, the sea ...the rick, the ferris, and mc h.p!!

Many Selves, Many Places

If you consider no physical time
you would think the soul could be
anywhere on a dime.
In fact your spiritual selves are out there in the stars
you are living multiple lives, maybe one on old Mars.
Looking at a star is looking into the past
light years away is where you are at
—but not a proven scientific fact.
For only the angels, seers and watchers know
all of the interdimensional secrets that do not show.
So I pose a question you could ponder-
use your imagination and let your mind wander-
The Physical universe is parallel to the spiritual universe.
is it not?
If so—can your soul be in different realms and different
Physical places without your own Earthly thoughts?

Today

Yesterday, just a dream i don't remember
Tomorrow, still a hope i've yet to endure
I'm out of time
I'm out of rhyme
I'm out of reason
Season's change and leave me out in the cold
The story's old
The tale been told by many scholars
Got a fistful of dollar
And a pocketful of love
God above if you hear me cryin'
I've tried to sell my soul
But no one's buyin'
Lord, strike me down now if i'm lyin'
It's gettin' cold
It's time for dyin.
Chorus
Come on and watch me shine
Like the world is mine (check it out) today
Come on and watch me shine (check it out)
Like the world is mine today
Watch me shine (check it out)
Let the man who's free from sin
Cast the first stone and begin the violence
Let the man whose words ring true
Speak on up till his voice breaks through the silence
Let the ones who lose their way
Live to see just one more day in the sunshine
Let the ones who choose to stray
Recognize the price they'll pay
In their lifetime
Chorus
Come on and watch me shine
Like the world is mine (check it out) today
Come on and watch me shine (check it out)
Like the world is mine today
Watch me shine (check it out)
Sittin here waitin' for my roads to cross
You nail me down and you watch me bleed
So lay my head against the earth
Plant my body like a seed
You can't always get the things you want, love (check it out)
You get what you deserve
Or maybe what you need
So fill my hole with precious dirt, love
Till the soil and plant the weed
Chorus
Come on and watch me shine
Like the world is mine (check it out) today
Come on and watch me shine (check it out)
Like the world is mine today
Watch me shine (check it out)

On The Same Page

Some of you have questioned the necessity,
Of this morning's meeting.
And as C.E.O. of Rapid Mess Industries...
I felt it my duty and extreme importance,
That we all are on the same page as we move forward...
With our set agenda.

Now,
Before we begin...
Are there any questions?
No questions?
Great.
Lonnie?
'Yes, Mister Duke? '
Lonnie, I am going to list our accomplishments,
And you concur.
Understood?
'Yes, Mister Duke.'

Creation of environmental hazards?
'Check! '
Successful depletion of the middle class?
'Check! '
Ignoring the infrastructure?
'Check! '
The marketing of expicit decadence?
'Check! '
Creation of conflicts wherever they can be created?
'Check! '
Ruining the economy?
'Check! '
Devastation of race relations?
'Check! '
Imprisoning our citizens at alarming rates?
'Check! '
AND...
Last but not least,
Promoting our arrogance globally...
To ensure our policies are understood?
'And...
Check! '

'Oh...
Mister Duke?
There is one more thing not mentioned.'

And what would that be, Lonnie?

'Propaganda!
You did not mention any of it! '

No Lonnie.
It has been determined,
Our successes speak for themselves!

Africans

Africans at this hour of the day deserve an atonement,
And in the name of the looted wealth during Slavery Days;
But, do think very well before you tread on this issue.

Blind justice,
But it is time to push harder and harder! !
And to create the atmosphere of blameless error,
For there are more stories to say about the Slavery.

Physical death doesn't separate a man from a woman,
Because in the way of Yahweh they are always united forever!
But, i am only writing to the one who knows the law.

Africans need atonement in many ways,
For our past stories are still recorded in our minds;
And peace is right here at our fingertips.
