Overcome Evil
Overcome evil with righteousness,
And set your understanding on things up high.
Do not lie to one another but,
Speak the truth always;
Let your speech always be with love,
And let it be seasoned with salt.
Like the labour of love and the patience of hope,
Like the new man and the new woman,
This world is full of strange things to see.

Love
Although i speak in tongues
Of men and angels
I'm just sounding brass
And tinkling cymbals without love--
Love suffers long--
Love is kind!--
Enduring all things--
Love has no evil in mind
If i had the gift of prophecy--
And all the knowledge--
And the faith to move the mountains
Even if i understood all of the mysteries--
If i didn't have love
I'd be nothing
Love--never looks for love--
Love's not puffed up--
Or envious--
Or touchy--
Because it rejoices in the truth
Not in iniquity
Love sees like a child sees
As a child i spoke as a child--
I thought and i understood as a child--
But when i became a woman--
I put away childish things
And began to see through a glass darkly
Where, as a child, i saw it face to face
Now, i only know it in part
Fractions in me
Of faith and hope and love
And of these great three
Love's the greatest beauty

Strange Things
I was on top of the world
It was right in my pocket
I was livin' the life
Things were just the way they should be
When from out of the sky like a bomb comes some little punk in a rocket
Now all of a sudden some strange things are happenin' to me
I had friends,
I had lots of friends
Now all my friends are gone
And I'm doin' the best I can to carry on
I had power (power)
I was respected (respect)
But not any more
And I've lost the love to the one whom I adored
Let me tell you about the strange things are happenin' to me
Strange things
Strange things are happenin' to me...
Ain't no doubt about it
You got someone you think you know well
It turns out a stranger
The minute you turn your back
You're in it all by yourself
They laugh at your jokes
You think you're doin' well
But you're in danger, boy
You end up alone, forgotten, way up on the shelf
Strange things are happenin' to me
Strange things
Strange things are happenin' to me
Ain't no doubt about it
Strange things are happenin' to me
Strange things
Strange things are happenin' to me
Strange things

Prove All Things
You implored me and i loved you,
And like the heathen and the publicans;
But prove all things and hold on to the truth always!
For the truth is always the truth.
Abstain yourself from every appearance of evil and,
Come to the full knowledge of the truth and learn to love one another;
For the earth is our learning place and,
We need peace and love to put things right.

Saint Bernard in the fields at Clairvaux. For Hilary.
That day as the sun set,
its afterglow flooded the world with light
like the meeting of heaven and earth; then
the great bell of the abbey tolled the vesper;
the workers in the fields lowered their scythes
and bowed their heads or knelt on the sharp stubble;
a grasshopper rested on the rough hem of my robe;
nature held its breath and knew eternity
I listened as the echo of the bell
took all my listening, and then
was heard no more; but listening remained;
the silence became full of all things, and
all things were praise and
all things were love and
all things were understanding:
there I heard no other;
there I saw no other;
there I understood no other;
but was infinity itself
love itself is understanding;
understanding is itself all love.

Bible in Poetry: 1 John 5
All who believe Jesus is Christ,
Is born of Father and love Him,
And love His child as well, in truth;
We know we love children of God,
By love and obeying commands,
Which are not burdensome at all.
God-born, all overcome the world-
The victory of our faith and world;
He who believes Jesus as Christ,
God’s Son, has overcome the world.
He came by water and of blood;
He did not come by water just,
But by both and spirit proves that;
Because the spirit is the truth,
It testifies about Jesus, .
For, there are three that testify:
The Spirit, water and the blood;
And the three are in agreement.
We accept man’s testimony;
God’s testimony is greater,
For, it is about His own Son!
He has given eternal life;
And this life is in Jesus Christ,
His only begotten Son, Lord;
Whoever has the Son has life;
He who doesn’t, does not have the life!
Concluding Remarks:
I write these things to you who know,
And do believe in Son of God,
And know you have eternal life;
This is the confidence we have
When approaching God for something,
If according to His will, then,
It will be heard and granted too.
If you see your brother in sin,
That does not lead to death, then pray,
That God give him eternal life.
This is when sin doesn’t lead to death;
There is a sin that leads to death;
I don’t say he should pray for that;
All kinds of wrong-doings are sin.
One born of God will not sin on,
And so, he keeps himself quite safe;
The evil one cannot harm him;
We know we are children of God.
The evil one controls the world;
We know the Son of God has come,
And given us understanding,
So that, we know Him who is true.
We are in Him who is the truth,
And in His Son, Jesus Christ;
He’s true God, and eternal Life!
Keep away from idols, children.

Don't Say You Love Me
(Don't say you love me)
(Strange things that make me die)
(Don't say you love me)
(Strange things that make me die)
I don't belong I'm still around won't steal you like a radio
I'm still around I won't be long gonna treat you like an angel
But don't say you love me
Strange things that make me die
Dance 'till we're high you're shy
Don't say you'll cry
I told you lies I'm still around won't steal your act my angel
I won't be long it's still your round or serialize the radio
But don't say you love me
Strange things that make me die
Dance 'till we're high you're shy
Don't say (don't say) you'll cry
(What do you say?)
(What do you say?)
Don't go on I see your eyes I screw you around my angel
You're still my love it's in your eyes our song is on the radio
But don't say you love me (what do you say?)
Strange things that make me die
Dance 'till we're high you're shy
Don't say you'll cry
Don't say you love me
Don't say you'll cry I'm high
Don't say you'll cry

What brings understanding is love. When your heart is full, then you will listen to the teacher, to the beggar, to the laughter of children, to the rainbow, and to the sorrow of man. Under every stone and leaf, that which is eternal exists. But we do not know how to look for it. Our minds and hearts are filled with other things than understanding of "what is". Love and mercy, kindliness and generosity do not cause enmity. When you love, you are very near truth. For, love makes for sensitivity, for vulnerability. That which is sensitive is capable of renewal. Then truth will come into being. It cannot come if your mind and heart are burdened, heavy with ignorance and animosity.

Bible in Poetry: Gospel of St. John 2 (Chapter 1)
The elder to lady, children,
Who love the truth and know it long;
For sake of truth that dwells in us,
And shall be with us forever.
The grace and mercy, peace of God
The Father, and the Son, Jesus
Christ’s truth and love too be with you!
I found thy children walk in truth,
And I rejoice greatly therefore,
As we’ve received the commandments,
From Father, Almighty, Lord, God.
And now, I beseech thee, lady!
I’ve written not a new command,
But that we had from beginning,
That said we love one another.
To love is commandment greatest,
And when we walk in His commands,
It is all love that’s pure, divine,
And hence, we must do from the start.
The deceiver who enters the world,
And says that Jesus was ne’er flesh,
Is deceiver and antichrist!
Take care that we do not then lose,
Those things that we have wrought with toil,
And that we get our full reward.
Whoever transgresses this then,
And doesn’t abide in Christ’s doctrine,
Loses the God of love in him;
He who abides in Christ’s doctrine,
Has Father and the Son as well.
If anyone should come to you,
Without the doctrine of Jesus,
Receive him not into your house,
And neither bid him then, God speed,
For, if you so bid him, then you,
Partake of his evil deeds too.
I have so many things to write,
But I will not with paper, ink;
But want to see you, face to face,
And speak, so that our joy is full!
The children of elect sister,
Greet thee, Amen.

To Love A Woman
(ian hunter)
To love a woman
Lost and lonely through the night
My baby doesnt hear me right
Cross my heart and hope to die
The words wont come although I try
Its there beneath me deep and strong
And when I speak it sounds so wrong
Oh cross my heart and hope to die
Ill never know the reason why
You and I were so in love
And if the sun wont shine
Ill be warm enough for the both of us
To love a woman
To love a woman
To love a woman
To love a woman
Sometimes when Im away from you
I love you more you know its true
Oh cross my heart and hope to die
This loneliness is good sometimes
And youll return smile over me
And I still cant say whats plain to see
But cross my heart and hope to die
Youll never know how hard I try
You and I we fell in love
And if the sun wont shine
Ill be warm enough for the both of us
To love a woman
To love a woman
To love a woman
To love a woman
To love a woman
To love a woman
To love a woman
To love a woman
Loving a woman like you aint hard to do
You know it happens all the time
To love a woman another woman
To love a woman aint never been hard
(cross my heart and hope to die)
To love a woman
To love a woman
To love a woman
To love a woman
To love a woman
To love a woman
To love a woman
So Ill go on through this night
Wishing the words to come out right
Cross my heart and hope to die
This stubborn tongues gonna make me cry
Just accept me as I am
Understand Im a quiet man
Cross my heart and hope to die
I dread the day you say goodbye
You and I we fell in love
And if the sun wont shine
Ill be warm enough for the both of us
To love a woman
To love a woman
To love a woman
To love a woman
To love a woman

In God’s Mighty Hand
In light of God’s Truth and Grace, man can find no better place,
Than The Hand of Mighty God, Who maintains Love and a Rod;
His Rod of Judgment will extend, to a world that is condemned,
So indifferent to The Lord above, that they cannot see His love.
The love that men refuse to see, is Hope that sustains humanity,
One holds together everything, Christ our Lord and Eternal King,
The Blessed Hope of ages past, Hope, that for this age will last,
When at the end of this age, God will stop man’s darkened rage.
Today, God’s Hope extends to all, every nation, great and small,
Hope, that for believers endured, even as Judgment was poured,
On man’s rebellious wickedness, opposing God’s righteousness,
A battle for us, today that’s won, through the Love of God’s Son.
The Lord God today waits patiently, for men that have yet to see,
The love of Christ, many cherish, so that they too, will not perish,
But, come to repentance, in Him, Who, came to save all from sin,
And accept from God, eternal life, through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Even as evil powers, today assail, His Righteousness will prevail,
The evil, who God, they ignore, will see the wrath, He has in store,
While in Jesus Christ I will stand, protected in God’s Mighty Hand,
Saved from His wrath by salvation, that will come on every nation.

should I know
what I'm missing
what's to stop
look and listen
feel love
to be in love
around
anyone can hold a promise
not everyone can feel honored
to be in love
to feel love around
suddenly I'm
giving speech
let me be
what I need
if you're enough
for me
many times
while you sleep
I'm dreaming of
what to keep
you know your wish
hold it true
to slay the things
that trouble you
suddenly I'm
out of reach
listen here
feel me
just believe
just believe
you'll see
to feel love
to be in love
all around
hold the truth
if you want it
if you don't
I will flaunt it
to feel love
to be in love
all around
when you're young
you can promise
anything that you wanted
to be in love
to feel love
around
suddenly I'm
learn to speak
from my heart
I will see
bring happiness
just happiness
for you and me
to feel love
to be in love
around
to be in love
to feel love
around
to feel love
to be in love
around
to be in love
to feel love
around
I know your wish
I hold it true
(feel love all around)
to hide the things
that trouble you
(feel love all around)
suddenly I'm
out of reach
(feel love all around)
let me speak
of my peace
(feel love all around)
[draw from me / dropping me?]
what you need
(feel love all around)
you'll never hate
or hurry me
(feel love all around)
(to feel love)
(to be in love)
(around)
(to be in love)
(to feel love)
(around)
(to feel love)
(to be in love)

I Want To

I want to hold you in my arms till you say turn me loose
I want to do little things to you till you say it ain't no use
I want to wake you every morning with a good morning kiss
I want to kiss you to sleep the same way cause i, i know you like this
I want to do everything for you
Cause that's all that a man can do
When he loves a woman like i love you
And i love ya, love ya, love ya
I want to say sweet things to you till you say i've said enough
I want to stand right by your side when the goin' gets tough
I want to mend your broken heart till you say the hurt is gone
I want tostay with you always so that you won't be alone
I want to do everything for you
Cause that's all that a man can do
When he loves a woman like i love you
And i love ya, love ya, love ya
I want to work for you every day till you say come home and rest
I want to buy you pretty little things so you can look your best
I want to take you every where so the world can see what i got
I want to treat you with tender love till you say i've got to stop
I want to do everything for you

For The Love Of Money
Money money money, money
Some people really need it (oh, well)
Some people got to have it (in vain)
Listen here yall, do things, do things, do bad things with it
So you will do things, do things, do good things with it
Talk about cash money, no help at all
For the love of money
People will steal from their mother
For the love of money
People will rob their own brother
For the love of money
People cant even walk the street
Because they never know who in the world they gotta beat
For that lean, mean, mean green
For the love of money
People will lie, lord, they will cheat
For the love of money
People dont care who they hurt or beat
For the love of money
A woman will sell her precious body
For a small piece of paper it carries a lot of weight
Call it lean, mean, mean green
Almighty dollar
I know money is the root of all evil
Do funny things to some people
Give me a nickel, brother can you spare a dime
Money can drive some people out of their minds
Got to have it, I really need it
How many things have I heard you say
Some people really need it
How many things have I heard you say
Got to have it, I really need it
How many things have I heard you say
Lay down, lay down, a woman will lay down
For the love of money
All for the love of money
Dont let, dont let, dont let money rule you
For the love of money
Money can change people sometimes
Dont let, dont let, dont let money fool you
Money can fool people sometimes

Understanding and Knowledge
Those who know don’t talk;
Those who talk don’t know;
Those who speak don’t write;
Those who write don’t speak.
Those who think don’t actions;
Those who actions don’t think;
Those who think don’t judge;
Those who judge don’t do.
Small understanding is no match for great understanding;
Small knowledge cannot understand great knowledge knows.
Great wisdom has great understanding;
Great knowledge has wise sayings.
Great knowledge and understanding is wide and vast;
Small knowledge and understanding is trivial and cramped.
Great speech blaze forth as a huge fire;
Small speech is empty and trivial.
We understand what is appropriate;
Because of what we understand to be inappropriate.
We understand right;
Because of our understanding of wrong.
Use the light of wisdom to see,
Beyond the world of right and wrong.
One can only really understand things,
By understanding one’s true self.

Aigis
The day of small things and the day of big things,
Like the plume in the hand of Zerubbabel;
But, i am a sower of righteousness in Babylon.
The day of beautiful things and the day of handsome things,
Like a man clothed in linen;
But my hands are towards heaven with love,
And i will love you like the Queen's Valley.
Aigis my love,
Of such luminaries around us;
But do have one voice on this love.

Unstable
A world war is in progress and,
The end of the world is at hand;
But like the ox that eats grass,
Let your life show others the way.
To be known and to be repected,
To learn and to share with others;
I will come to you like a thief in the night,
So be ready to receive your reward as well.
Love to the brotherhood,
Love to the sisterhood,
Love to the fatherhood,
Love to the motherhood,
And by the way of remembrance;
But those who are unclean and unstable will twist the law.
This is my first letter to you and you have to learn,
This is my first love to you and you have to care,
For a dog always returns to its own vomit.
This is my second letter to you,
Like a washed snow in the field of love;
But the unstable will always twist the law.
This is my third letter to you,
For faith always goes with works;
And you have to do your best on this love.
Of the things which we have heard,
Of the things which we have to share,
Of the things which we have to read,
Of the things which we have to laern,
Of the things which we have to say,
Of the things which we have to write,
Of the things we have built,
And of the things we have seen;
Do not allow that which is evil to be your friend.
