Empath
For a clear home,
Check out first the toilets and the kitchen before any other places;
Because theseplaces will tell you the mentality of the people around.
Empath, come into my realm and let me teach you,
And do not be like a funny tasted drink in the mouth;
You may ask: 'Why is the world like this? '
But it is also like the 'Buffalo Soilder'! .....'Dreadlock Rasta';
With bombs everywhere to kill many.
The very gorvernment is you and i,
And it starts from the grass roots;
So if the bases of the grass roots are totally weak,
There will be no rule of law at the top.

THE FOURTH EYE
of
A post-conceptual poet.
My brother the soilder
My brother the soilder
my brother the soilder loves his country.
my brother the soilder is dedicated to protect it.
my brother the soilder is a hero in my eyes.
my brother the soilder loves me.
my brother the soilder cares.
my brother the soilder looks out for me.
my brother the soilder would give anything for me.
my brother the soilder cheers me up when i'm down.
my brother the soilder can turn my frown upside down.
But why does my brother,
have to risk his life,
just to save those who are scared to fight?
Why does he have to be a hero?
Why does can't everyone be a hero in this world?
Why can't everyone give a little to protect themselves and others?
Why can't we all work together, just like the soilders have to do,
otherwise we all die
Buffalo Grass
Saw you once and you looked so sweet
Saw you twice and I felt complete
Three times thought Id get some peace
Dozen times and theres no release
And I was already gone
And life goes on in white and black
Cloaking the stealth of your attack
The tendrils creep through every crack
And every time I cut you off
You grow right back
Like buffalo grass
You crawled across my heart
Oh like buffalo grass
Wrapped yourself around my heart
Day goes by and I think I feel clean
Week goes by and I feel serene
Month goes by like youre just a dream
Year goes by Im back on my knees
When I was already gone
But since you first infected me
Weve been connected karmically
Should I escape your gravity
In every other solar system
There youll be
Like buffalo grass
You crawled across my heart
Oh like buffalo grass
Wrapped yourself around my heart
Like buffalo grass
You crawled across my heart
Oh like hele hele
Cat claw across my heart
Empires fall and the roach will rule
Lifetimes pass and Im still your fool
Universe collapses in a silvery pool
Watering the root that connects me to you

Uprising Roots
Uprising roots,
Blue grass in the sky;
Uprising roots,
Love under the sea;
Uprising roots,
In the deep!
White in white and,
Black in black;
But, underrated by your love.
Seven years of hope!
On the blue mountains;
And to take up a trip to let it show,
But, life is like a journey to us all.
The roots of life,
To put the stereo on!
But, i have a long way to go.

I'm A Water Grass
Deep down, my roots
Penetrate the river belly
Water I brave, in vicious floods
I flex, smart and steady
I wouldn't loose roots
I'm a water grass, here to stay.

Cry for the severe drought like a rain
What is the use of throwing an ice cream when the boy says 'Hungry'?
Please do not shut his mouth when the boy cries.
Let him sing to the World of the hungry song
The voice of voiceless,
If it's plausible to remove the wax of their precious ears.?
[When Fr.Victor OMF(MD) accepted God's call to Guinea Bissau, Africa, he soon discovered, that one in three people there suffer from hunger. Some people actually eat roots, grass and mud cakes trying to stay alive.]

Kindness
Things are destined to be lost
To be broken
The leaves fall and rot
At the foot of the tree
The roots soon shrink
And become part
Of the indifference of the
Rocks and the soil
Things move out
And up
Like vapor and then
Change their forms to air
But there are those that weep
And keep
Whatever was lost and destroyed
The leaves they take with their hands
And the roots
They stroke with the toes of their feet
Caress and
Kindness their virtues
That humanity has soon discarded
They grow the seeds in their hearts
They keep the fire of love
Burning
And the earth and the sun and stars
All smile at them
They too grow and scatter and travel
To all the places of this earth
Their forms too many
The gods know
They too must grow and get the world
Of the grass of sorrow

How To Deal With A Very Beautiful Disciple
she comes like a princess from the
a castle high up there on those blue clouds
descending from the sun
down to the mountains
and the rivers
and to this
pond
i am the grass, and she wants to lie down with me
so i can teach her about what, i ask, about poetry she says,
no there is no poetry with me for
i am the grass, and you signal the wind so you may leave at once
and be back to the arms of the heavens
but i think a while and change my mind for i am the grass
and i am a teacher of all mankind, those who want to die and be
covered with my hands, and those who want to stay and be
with my greeness, my softness and i in humility whispers to her
my princess, stay with me for a while, lie with me, and sleep with me
under the moon, the darkness of the night shall be our blanket,
my thick leaves of grass, your pillow,
i am the grass, i may not teach you what poetry is,
what i have is to spread
love and togetherness, and intimacy that i have with the soil
my secrets with the worms, my eternity
with what death has concealed from the eyes of your world.

Roots
Roots natty roots
Dread binghi dread
I and I are the roots
Some are the dry wood
Fe catch up the fire
Whoa, lo ok at that
They need some dry wood
To cook up the raw food
Whoa, look at that
I got to survive
Inna dis man maniac downpression
Got to survive
In iration, yeah
Roots natty roots
Dread binghi dread
Remember that I and I are the roots
Some are wolf
Inna sheeps clothing
Whoa, look at that
Many are called
But only a few are chosen
Whoa, look at that
Nothing that dividers can do
Cant seperate us from our father
Whoa, look at that
You see, blood is thicker than water
Whoa, look at that
Got to survive
Inna disyah ghetto, yeah
Roots natty roots
Dread binghi dread
Remember that I and I are the roots
Roots natty roots
Dread binghi dread
Whoa, I and I are the roots
Some are leaves
While some are branches
But remember I and I are the roots
Some are dry wood
Fe catch up the fire
Whoa, look at that
Got to survive
Inna dis man maniac downpression
Got to survive
In iration
Roots natty roots
Dread binghi dread
Hey, I and I are the roots
Ooh we, roots natty roots
Dread binghi dread
Oh yeah, I and I are the roots

Through the field I See
A field of green grass awaits me.
I have been on this grass before and it brought suffering and
anguish.
I wait for the pure colors of pink and red to cover all of the
envious grass.
In this field of colors I have not experienced.
Many a people, hand in hand, take this path of red and pink.
Through many a people take the field of grass choosing the
poison of which they will drink.

Kill Me Now
tears of blood run down my face
as thorns rip through my skin
this underworld realm i tear into
the hollow walls sheet thin
i'm a bestial nature scout
black lace im shielded in
down for this coffin ride adventure
sign the blank as satan for next of kin
my hands claw in putrid dirt for the devil
mouth parched in thirst for him
i rip up the roots of hell
and drink their blood to feel his grin
kill me now i'm ready
i wait at the gates of the darkness inn
ready to be eaten from the inside out
to dance with the demons in sin

Survival Kit
the grass accepts death
of all it has, leaves and roots
its color blends with
the dust and parched mud
cracking surfaces
it also knows to preserve
its species
burying resilient seeds on
the cracks
and when it rains it begins
to grow buds
roots and all and the whole
ground is green again
meanwhile on cracked grounds
where once the pond was
the whiskers of the catfish begin
to wriggle
shedding off mud around its skin
the fish begins to swim

Hidden Roots
In Memory Of My Late Brother
William Verdun Harris
1941 - 2003
Today my mind seemed everywhere,
but on the job, I was doing.
It started in my childhood
and moved into my teenage years
and finally into my adulthood.
Along the way examining the roots
I had laid down all those years ago.
Unfortunately, they were not firm roots
and I drifted from here to there,
my heart never settling in any place I wanted as a home.
Within me, there was a struggle
and I knew not why, then it surfaced
in between the pages of a letter that came from far away.
It told me something
that at first I could not believe,
of how part of my past had been closeted from me.
I knew then where my roots lay
in a land far across the sea.
I travelled to meet my past,
but sadly, before I could cement those hidden roots
they were gone and part of me was taken away.
Now I often wonder what might happen years before
if I had known about those hidden roots.
How different would my life have been?
There is no way of telling
as I learned to late about those roots
and time has now run out.

Bombay
'Bomb-Bay'!
Of the bomb attacks on the Hotels in Bombay like 'Bomb-Bay';
But, why should some people kill others?
Our body needs fuel than bombs,
This life needs peace than bombs,
So try to be a role model to others than killing them.
Don't force them to eat what they don't want to,
And don't throw bombs around to kill the people around you;
For, why should i congratulate you of your bomb attacks? ! !
Life is very peacefully so,
Live and let us live too!
And, why throw the bombs against others to kill them?
Bombs in Bombay,
Why should the sweet fragrance of your love be destroyed always?
Why should the negative people around us always carry along bombs?
For words cannot express my sorrow and,
I will never forget this day.

Roots
(j.p. maunick)
Living in a world, where everything demands understanding
We try and find a way, through the places and spaces in the game
We spend a long time running from ourselves
Before we can discover who we are
Chorus:
Talkin bout roots
Ah yah, yah
Back to a way of life
Roots
Ah yah, yah
Talkin bout roots, back to a way of life
Roots
Ah yah, yah
Back to a way of life
Take a step inside, your cultural desires await you
We owe it to ourselves to seek the primal spark that caused the flame
We spend a long time running from ourselves
Before we can discover who we are
Chorus
Water is not stronger than the blood
Chorus
Repeat (fade)
