Pillbox

Just see what’s happening Worley! Worley rose
And round the angled doorway thrust his nose
And serjeant Hyde went too to snuff the air. . . .
Then war brought down his fist, and missed the pair!
Yet Hyde was hit by a splinter, the blood came,
And out sprang terrors that he’d striven to tame,
A good man, Hyde, for weeks. I'm blown to bits,
He screams, he screams. Come Bluffer, where’s your wits,
Says Worley, Bluffer, you’ve a blighty, man!
All in the pillbox urged him, here began
His freedom: Think of Eastbourne and your dad,
The poor man lay at length and brief and mad
Flung out his cry of doom; soon ebbed and dumb
He yielded. Worley with a tot of rum
And shouting in his face could not restore him,
The ship of Charon over channel bore him,
All marvelled even on that most deadly day
To see this soul so spirited away.

Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde

Hyde, Hyde.
Hyde, hyde.
Someone is spending my money for me,
Someone is spending my money for me,
The money I earn I never see,
The money i earn i never see,
In all things I do he interferes,
In all things i do he interferes,
All I know is trouble as soon as he appears.
All i know is trouble as soon as he appears.
Mister Hyde, Mister Hyde, Mister Hyde, Mister Hyde, Hyde.
Mister hyde, mister hyde, mister hyde, mister hyde, hyde.
When I drink my potion my character changes,
When i drink my potion my character changes,
My whole mind and body rearranges,
My whole mind and body rearranges,
This strange transformation takes place in me,
This strange transformation takes place in me,
Instead of myself everybody can see...
Instead of myself everybody can see...
Mister Hyde, Mister Hyde, Mister Hyde, Mister Hyde, Hyde.
Mister hyde, mister hyde, mister hyde, mister hyde, hyde.
Whenever you're with me make sure it's still me,
Whenever you're with me make sure it's still me,
I've got to the stage I can't tell which I'll be,
I've got to the stage i can't tell which i'll be,
The loveable fellow who'll buy you a drink,
The loveable fellow who'll buy you a drink,
Then when he's drunk his he'll change in a wink into...
Then when he's drunk his he'll change in a wink into...
Hyde, Mister Hyde, Mister Hyde, Mister Hyde, Hyde.
Hyde, mister hyde, mister hyde, mister hyde, hyde.

Confrontation

Dr. Jekyll in lower case

Mr. Hyde caps.

Lost in the darkness
Silence surrounds you
Once there was morning
Now endless night
I will find the answer
I'll never desert you
I promise you this
Til the day that I...

DO YOU REALLY THINK
THAT I WOULD EVER LET YOU GO
DO YOU THINK ID EVER SET YOU FREE
IF YOU DO IM SAD TO SAY
IT SIMPLY ISN'T SO
YOU WILL NEVER GET AWAY FROM ME

all that you are is a face in the mirror
I close my eyes and you disappear

IM WHAT YOU FACE WHEN YOU FACE IN THE MIRROR
LONG AS YOU LIVE I WILL STILL BE HERE

all that you are is an end of a nightmare
all that you are is a dieing scream
after tonight I shall end this demon dream

THIS IS NOT A DREAM MY FRIEND
AND IT WILL NEVER END
THIS ONE IS THE NIGHTMARE THAT GOES ON
HYDE IS HERE TO STAY
NO MATTER WHAT YOU MAY PRETEND
AND HE'LL FLOURISH LONG AFTER YOUR GONE

soon you will die and my silence will hide you
you cannot choose and you'll lose control

YOU CANT CONTROL ME
I LIVE DEEP INSIDE YOU
EACH DAY YOU FEEL ME DEVOUR YOUR SOUL

i dont need you to survive like you need me
i become whole as you dance with Death
and I will rejoice as you breathe your final breath

FOR I LIVE INSIDE YOU FOREVER
WITH SATAN HIMSELF BY MY SIDE
AND NOW KNOW THAT NOW AND FOREVER
YOU'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO SEPARATE
JEKYLL FROM HYDE

cant you see
its over now
its time to die

NO NOT I
ONLY YOU

if i die
you die to

YOU'LL DIE IN ME
I'LL BE YOU

damn you Hyde
set me free

CANT YOU SEE
YOU ARE ME

no deep inside
I AM YOU
YOU ARE HYDE

no never

YES FOREVER

Dr.Jekyll And Mr. Hyde

Yes, man I got! you
are Mr.Jekyll at day time
and Mr.Hyde at night!
Your good self is a
nice doctor, and the
shadowed a mischievous one!
Your tongue plays the
twisted slang in darkness....
But, you nurse your country
in the bright day light.
You make a garden of rose,
with the air, light, water
in the presence of the sun...
When the evening in
your mind approaches,
you start to burn.
your soul goes to
the domain of hell, in
The fire of ever-burning lust.
Mr.Hyde occupies you,
Increasing your hateful thirst!

The Rose of England

'Twas a most solemn day
Of that most the world would say.
The Rose of England would pass
Her still form in a gun carriage alas.

Many called it the event of the years
As the cortege the Royal Standard bears.
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on history the Princess leaves her mark.

John Bull's joie de vivre now diminished
It seemed to many that an era had finished.
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on history the Princess leaves her mark.

Yet, even in dying she still lives on
In the heart of many, a love already born.
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark.

They'd come from near and far
This massive crowd there'd been no par.
Bless you.Bless you.They cried
For the Queen of their hearts had died.

Many a funeral there had been
But nothing like this the world had seen.
The multitude weepingly lined the way
There was hardly anything you can say.

Two young princes with solemn look
Their precious mother the angels took.
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark.

A day one could almost feel wintry's cold
Merry ole England had lost her gold.
Now the winsome princess to be seen no more
Her loving fans no more could adore!

The Queen, Her Majesty, stood at her Palace gate
Had her compassion and caring come too late?
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark!

And the bell at the abbey tolls
As the cortege bearing the fallen Rose rolls.
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark!

'Twas a day of saddened faces
It seemed the Princess had held all aces.
A flood of tears from the river Thames;
'Twas a time of gloom for the Court of St James.

Do you hear the clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark?
Yes! I hear the clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark!

Still Falls The Rain

(ferry/manzanera)
Dear hyde -
No more can i
Explain, ive tried
With words in vain
They pass you by
Like falling rain
From perfect skies
Still falls the rain
Inside
Hey brother dont be square
Here it is not over there
Im your man - ive got it made
You need my fire you need my shade
Youre here hyde -
Once more inspire
This strangely tied
Uncertain frame
So torn inside
Still falls the rain
Two minds, one vein
Still falls the rain
Inside
Hey doctor dont be scared
Its you and me so wheres my share?
Im the man just move aside
Call me mister call me hyde
Hey lover dont be shy
Im a single minded guy
Better watch me - boy im rough
Half a man aint strong enough
Hey brother dont be square
Here it is not over there
Im your man - ive got it made
You feed my fire you need my shade

Duel Personality

Many lovers’ kiss faded from my lips
Like summers early morning mist that dries
When timely sunrise first arrives outside
My windowpane. Can I rewrite the script
Of providence that’s handed me? Eclipse
Another, hardly. The Jekyll and Hyde
Reside in me: the good and bad divide
At first but then the worst bestirs and shifts.
A lover kisses Jekyll’s lips of wine
But soon the lovers tasting vinegar
When Hyde emerges every single time
To spoil the sweet-taste of love. Au revoir!
The final parting words that draws the line
When love dies never knowing who you are.

Franklin Hyde

Who caroused in the Dirt and was corrected by His Uncle.

His Uncle came upon Franklin Hyde
Carousing in the Dirt.
He Shook him hard from Side to Side
And Hit him till it Hurt,

Exclaiming, with a Final Thud,
"Take that! Abandoned boy!
For Playing with Disgusting Mud
As though it were a Toy!"

Moral:
From Franklin Hyde's adventure, learn
To pass your Leisure Time
In Cleanly Merriment, and turn
From Mud and Ooze and Slime
And every form of Nastiness-
But, on the other Hand,
Children in ordinary Dress
May always play with Sand.

My Grief on the Sea

MY grief on the sea,
How the waves of it roll!
For they heave between me
And the love of my soul!

Abandon'd, forsaken,
To grief and to care,
Will the sea ever waken
Relief from despair?

My grief and my trouble!
Would he and I were,
In the province of Leinster,
Or County of Clare!

Were I and my darling--
O heart-bitter wound!--
On board of the ship
For America bound.

On a green bed of rushes
All last night I lay,
And I flung it abroad
With the heat of the day.

And my Love came behind me,
He came from the South;
His breast to my bosom,
His mouth to my mouth.

She Screams

She screams in pain,
She screams out your name,
Watch her suffer,
Suffer into the darkness,
Tomorrow will bring another day,
A day of freedom,
She once thought,
She screams for help,
No one hears her,
A dead silence,
Watch as her friends turn their back on her,
Watch as she bleeds for them,
She hears the howling of the wind,
Knowing that no one can't hear her crying,
She screams,
Screams in agony,
Does anyone hear her,
Does anyone care,
She screams for you,
She screams one last time hoping that someone would hear her,
What will become of her,
Is this girl me or someone else.

Jekyll And Hyde

JEKYL AND HYDE

He is my friend! An old friend!
With a different kind of mind
For dinner, I invited him
He laughed, “Only Sunday for a chum”
“You know? I’m a busy man”

Yeah! He is busy! Very busy! !
Always in a bureaucratic frenzy
Throwing files and
Scowling at menials
Wielding power and
Shielding misdemeanor
Making rulings and
Raking under the table dealings
Drooling and squealing
Like a swine in sewer stinking

For him it is the Elysium
A corrupted mind’s addictive opium
Honesty’s grand mausoleum
I said with concern, “Yes Mr. Hyde
I wait for Jekyll, till week end”

This Self Examination 'Thing

Could you survive,
Without a back to ride on?
No.
I don't think so.

I've never seen you sacrifice.

But you are quick,
To criticize those on your side.
Those who go out of their way,
To make sure you're okay.

And you are never satisfied,
By those things done.
Your Jekyll is in need of therapy.
And your Hyde most times,
Isn't welcomed by anyone.

And those who wish you well,
Wanting more to have you...
On a smooth path.
You first respond with anger.
Then you proceed to laugh.

Something in your head,
Is not screwed too tight.
Something in your mind,
Is-just-not-right!

'How do you feel now? '

Tremendous.
A whole lot better.
How long have you been doing,
This 'self examination' thing?

'I just started.
I do it twice a day.

I was looking in the mirror
The other day in the restroom.
And all of a sudden my boss comes in!
On the line...
'Your Jekyll is in need of therapy.
And your Hyde most times,
Isn't welcomed by anyone.'

Yeah?
What happened?
What did he do?

'He called me into the office.
Asked me if I needed Friday off...
With pay! '

No way?

'YES!
I'm telling you it works.'

Barney works down at the a&p
He drives a baby blue a.m.c.
Aint missed of day of work in 13 years
Hes a fire department volunteer
Hes got a yard thats always just been mowed
Collected stamps since he was 10 years old
Youve never seen a more regular guy
But when the sun goes down on friday night
Chorus
Slaps on his hai karate after shave
Puts on his elvis jacket custom-made
Gets in his patent leather zebra boots
Fires up his super sport malibu
He burns the rubber cross the county line
A honky tonkin fool till closing time
You ought to see him metamorphosize
From barney jekyll into bubba hyde
Monday morning its a suit and tie
Attention shoppers theres a two-for-one buy
Tuesday afternoon he mans the wheel
Makes his round in the bookmobile
Hes got a wednesday night canasta game
Thursdays the tourney at the bowling lanes
His friends would freak out if they only knew
The party animal he turns into
Chorus
You oughta see him metamorphosize
From barney jekyll into bubba hyde

Screaming pain

The silent screams inside
Nobody does hear
But me.

The screams of fear.
The screams of pain.
The screams of past pain endured.
No body knows.

The screams of hurt.
The screams that huant.
The screams of despair.
The screams of loneliness.
The screams of death.

Im screaming inside out.
With nobody to hear
Im screaming with pain.

Im screaming and screaming
Let me forget

Roger Heston

Oh many times did Ernest Hyde and I
Argue about the freedom of the will.
My favorite metaphor was Prickett's cow
Roped out to grass, and free you know as far
As the length of the rope.
One day while arguing so, watching the cow
Pull at the rope to get beyond the circle
Which she had eaten bare,
Out came the stake, and tossing up her head,
She ran for us.
"What's that, free-will or what?" said Ernest, running.
I fell just as she gored me to my death.

Rally round The Flag

(traditional)
Yes, well rally round the flag, boys
Well rally round again
Shouting the battle cry of freedom
We will rally from the hillside
Well gather from the plain
Shouting the battle cry of freedom
The union forever, hurrah boys, hurrah
Down with the traitor, up with the star
While we rally round the flag, boys
Rally once again
Shouting the battle cry of freedom
We will welcome to our numbers
The loyal, true and brave
Shouting the battle cry of freedom
And although he may be poor
Not a man shall be a slave
Shouting the battle cry of freedom
So were springing to the call
From the east and from the west
Shouting the battle cry of freedom
And well prove a loyal crew
To the land we love the best
Shouting the battle cry of freedom

Jekyll and Hyde

JEKYLL AND HYDE

Nature in her wisdom has created
a set of twins that wars within one mind.
Here, surface grace, there peerless smile some find,
yet never poet those charms celebrated.
Superficial gloss deceives. As stated,
above, fair features mask Hyde hid behind,
foiling heart, whose coils seem serpentined,
motives murky, joy soon dissipated.
Reflect on shine whose light seems calculated
to serve as shield behind an iron blind,
unsated floe on salt sea floats unkind.
Drawn is this portrait, equal loved and hated.
Captivated, some serve both, but why
are some men, pawns, ensnared by mirage eye?

Jekyll and Hyde

Nature in her wisdom has created
a set of twins whcih war within one mind: -
there, tender beauty, peerless smile some find,
yet never poet those charms celebrated.
Surface sweetness can deceive. As stated
above, here, features mask Hyde hid behind,
who, fooling often heart, plays rôles unkind,
nor cares a tinker’s curse for joys abated.
Despite the shine, the light seems calculated
to better shield behind an iron blind,
or iceberg, - all once seemed so gentle, kind.
Such is the tableau, equal loved and hated.
However, captive, both some serve, yet why
are some ensnared by mirage twinkle eye?
