The Rose of England
'Twas a most solemn day
Of that most the world would say.
The Rose of England would pass
Her still form in a gun carriage alas.
Many called it the event of the years
As the cortege the Royal Standard bears.
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on history the Princess leaves her mark.
John Bull's joie de vivre now diminished
It seemed to many that an era had finished.
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on history the Princess leaves her mark.
Yet, even in dying she still lives on
In the heart of many, a love already born.
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark.
They'd come from near and far
This massive crowd there'd been no par.
Bless you.Bless you.They cried
For the Queen of their hearts had died.
Many a funeral there had been
But nothing like this the world had seen.
The multitude weepingly lined the way
There was hardly anything you can say.
Two young princes with solemn look
Their precious mother the angels took.
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark.
A day one could almost feel wintry's cold
Merry ole England had lost her gold.
Now the winsome princess to be seen no more
Her loving fans no more could adore!
The Queen, Her Majesty, stood at her Palace gate
Had her compassion and caring come too late?
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark!
And the bell at the abbey tolls
As the cortege bearing the fallen Rose rolls.
The clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark!
'Twas a day of saddened faces
It seemed the Princess had held all aces.
A flood of tears from the river Thames;
'Twas a time of gloom for the Court of St James.
Do you hear the clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark?
Yes! I hear the clip clop of the horses thru Hyde Park
As on History the Princess leaves her mark!

In lonely woods, I met Cyclops with solo eye and single mouth with fire
Goofing around in a city by varying names – hobo, hog are names few;
Anchorite, Hieronymite, troglodyte, , stylite, road hog are names new -
Solo Cyclops is a 16th century’s leviathan & 21st century’s plastic gyre.
Flip-flop! Clip-clap! Boo-boo cried solo Bobby – trapped in the Booby-trap!
Clip-clop went the horse's hop – lonely Johny weeps in the lonely shop!
Aloneness greets me seventy times seven and 24/7 with a mess!
Aloneness is a burning hole inside me with a hallow emptiness....
Aloneness is tearing me apart and pulling my only heart apart!
Aloneness is perfect but hopelessness and darkness in your heart.

Aloofness isn't a simple word anymore - a nerve rattling terror;
It has undergone a surgery, turned out to be chameleons’ avatar!
So it puts every Jack, Tom and Jerry on the butcher’s altar.

It visits every house with different names – reclusiveness,
Forlornness, friendlessness yet brings the same lugubriousness.

The 'Poem A Day' Project ~ Day 257
I’m a happy dog at the park
I yelp and woof and bark
Along with the sound
Us dogs run around
I’m a happy dog at the park
I’m a happy dog at the park
You may think me off the mark
But I’m not by mistake
In the mud by the lake
I’m a happy dog at the park
I’m a happy dog at the park
I hunt like a big hairy shark
When the bunnies trail
Puts a spring in my tail
I’m a happy dog at the park
I’m a happy dog at the park
I’m glad that some bright spark
Brought a ball to throw
Now off I go
I’m a happy dog at the park
I’m a happy dog at the park
I’ll be wagging well into the dark
Enjoy fresh air and fun
Is my tip everyone
I’m a happy dog at the park

Hey Now Princess (demo Version)
by Jack Bruce and Pete Brown
Look here Princess
I'm not just here for you
So take off in your new Rolls Royce
I've got things to do
Look here Princess
I gave you everything
But now I want it all back
So I can start some living
Look here Princess
I want to be famous and rich
So I can be empty and bitter like you
Sitting home with nothing to do
Princess look now
I've got 15 women called Sue
20 women called Jane
And I'm sad
Look here Princess
Now I'm singin' this sad song
About a man in a kennel
Who cries all day long
Look here Princess
Don't shut me out for good
But keep me in mind for later
Like I always knew you would
Look here Princess
I'm in a desert now
I don't see no way out
You've got to show me how
Look here now Princess
I've got 15 women called Sue
20 women called Jane
And I'm sad
Look here Princess
I'm not just here for you
So take off in your new Rolls Royce
I've got things to do
Look here Princess
I gave you everything
But now I want it all back
So I can start some living
Look here Princess
I want to be famous and rich
So I can be empty and bitter like you
Sitting home with nothing to do
Princess look now
I've got 15 women called Sue
20 women called Jane
And I'm sad

Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde
Hyde, Hyde.
Hyde, hyde.
Someone is spending my money for me,
Someone is spending my money for me,
The money I earn I never see,
The money i earn i never see,
In all things I do he interferes,
In all things i do he interferes,
All I know is trouble as soon as he appears.
All i know is trouble as soon as he appears.
Mister Hyde, Mister Hyde, Mister Hyde, Mister Hyde, Hyde.
Mister hyde, mister hyde, mister hyde, mister hyde, hyde.
When I drink my potion my character changes,
When i drink my potion my character changes,
My whole mind and body rearranges,
My whole mind and body rearranges,
This strange transformation takes place in me,
This strange transformation takes place in me,
Instead of myself everybody can see...
Instead of myself everybody can see...
Mister Hyde, Mister Hyde, Mister Hyde, Mister Hyde, Hyde.
Mister hyde, mister hyde, mister hyde, mister hyde, hyde.
Whenever you're with me make sure it's still me,
Whenever you're with me make sure it's still me,
I've got to the stage I can't tell which I'll be,
I've got to the stage i can't tell which i'll be,
The loveable fellow who'll buy you a drink,
The loveable fellow who'll buy you a drink,
Then when he's drunk his he'll change in a wink into...
Then when he's drunk his he'll change in a wink into...
Hyde, Mister Hyde, Mister Hyde, Mister Hyde, Hyde.
Hyde, mister hyde, mister hyde, mister hyde, hyde.

Princes Familiar
Please be philosophical
Please be tapped into your femininity
Please be able to take the wheel from me
Please be crazy and curious
Papa love your princess so that she will find loving princes familiar
Papa cry for your princess so that she will find gentle princes familiar
Please be a sexaholic
Please be unpredictably miserable
Please be self absorbed much (not the good kind)
Please be addicted to some substance
Papa listen to your princess so that she will find attentive princes familiar
Papa hear your princess so that she will find curious princes familiar
Please be the jerk of my knee Ive fit you always
You finish my sentences I think I love you
What is your name again no matter Im guessing your thoughts again correctly and I love the way
You press my buttons so much sometimes I could strangle you
Papa laugh with your princess so that she will find funny princes familiar
Papa respect your princess so that she will find respectful princes familiar
Please be strangely enigmatic
Please be just like my

The Thistle’s Offer
...........A Fairytale
The King and Queen were sad, they had
no children, so the willow tree, led by a
thistle, weaved a crib in which the thistle
buried herself and died, the King and Queen
found a baby within – who became their
heart’s delight, they closed off the garden
from all outside, keeping the princess safe
from other children until thistles took over
the garden, children were called in to pick
them – and the princess disappeared, her
job done, the King and Queen loved all the
children of their kingdom instead – But
why, I cried, did the princess have to
disappear?

Stories” Walker Books 1995

The Garden Party
Anne looked down,
from the lofty heights
of a right royal nose,
and gave him a sneer
as she stood on his toes.
With a right foul oath
she shoved him aside,
her face was all twisted
with her smouldering eyes.
She stormed from the garden
the maid cried in alarm,
as a bowl of lobster soup
burned into her arm.
Yet Anne did not notice
Anne did not care.
Of what importance was the maid
with the raven black hair?
The reporter watched in silence
amazement followed his frown,
a princess so rude
he could not understand.
He was real shocked
twas quite easy to see,
one of princess Anne's tantrums
is quite something to see.
His gape was so foolishly obvious
as Anne stormed right on by,
when all of a sudden
he let out a cry.
Yet imagination it wasn't
the stinging red mark on his cheek
the pain in his knee.
While princess Anne chuckled.
As she departed
quite merrily.

Enchanted Glen
The king sat on his lavish throne
and ruled his people all alone,
no queen at his side only an empty chair there.
His would be queen a princess fair
had run off with a tinker from across the square.
The crowd stood a gasp as the tinker
on his white charger rode passed
the princess fair clutched in his arms
smiling face filled with her charms.
They rode into the enchanted glen
and were never seen again.
Sometimes on cold and lonely nights
you can hear the king’s men galloping after them.
They too rode into the enchanted glen
and were never seen again.
All that is heard is their ghostly horses in flight
on cold and lonely nights.
No one rides into the glen no more
to discover the secrets it stores,
those who have tried
like the tinker, princess fair
and the king’s men
where never heard of again.
The enchanted glen remains quiet
with its secrets it will not tell
except the echo of ghostly hoof beats
on cold and lonely nights.

Alleys In The Sky
There are alleys in the sky
And the alleys are in the back of the houses
That God built
So that people could live in the sky
Across from the houses in the sky
Is a huge park
And in that park the kids can play soccer
On the grass
But the grass is always cut at the park in the sky
By God's personal gardener
And God's gardener doesn't use any pesticide on the grass or on the Trees
So the sky is a pesticide free zone that was declared by God
And God is happy to live in a pesticide free world
Also there are no cars in the sky
And the people who live in the sky ride horses
Because horses doesn't pollute the sky like cars do
And the horses are white
Like the clouds.

A Princess Resembles So
He said, “You are the princess,
Princess that God might have made,
Kneading, blending the seven colours,
Incarnated a form of brilliance.
If you cast a glance at someone,
Even the stone gets a tongue,
Opens the eyes steadily,
Pledges you to provide
Whatever you desire,
Whatever you think, it will give you
By selling its whole entity:
Body and soul.
Just make a motion, a gesture,
I will sacrifice the whole lot.
I desire to win you,
By loosing the game of love,
By surrendering the whole being,
If I go back my words,
May I not live this life the next minute,
May I not inhale the second breath.”
He said, “You are the princess.”
I am engrossed how princess looks alike.
Does she resemble me?
Yes; the princess bears resemblance
Such as I am.

We Affect Forever
We Affect Forever
We are making history, through every day we spend.
We are here, leaving our mark, a mark that will not end.
Others before have left behind this world we now obtain.
Though it’s changed since way back when, the old shall always remain.
History is how we got here, history is who we are.
History is what led to this, yes history is not far.
It remains within our families, its tradition and unchanging ways.
It’s Christmas day, Thanksgiving, its countless nights and days.
History is what you’re becoming; it’s what you are soon to be.
And history never dies; it’s a part of everybody.
We fight to maintain who we are, to maintain who we’ve always been.
And while we fight we know this fight is not easy to win.
Many forget the past, and many never even know,
Many people never hear of how times were long ago.
Those thousands of years before us, are more than just time spent.
They are filled with real people, real feelings, and real places that they went.
The People had different life styles very different from our ways,
But it is true that there is nothing knew under the sun’s golden rays.
Stand proud to be alive, know you affect forever.
Every act that we commit we all commit together.
We are entrusted with this earth; we must love and cherish this life.
We must remember to love our existence lest love becomes our strife.
Yes we are becoming history, through every move we make.
We are here, leaving our mark, a mark ……or perhaps a mistake.

Love And Be Loved
The Princess was given a gift;
she would love and be loved
her whole life long, when the
evil fairy came with her curse
to the christening, saying the
Princess would be turned out
of her kingdom; she could not
take away the gift of love
Though the curse was fulfilled,
the Princess lost her kingdom,
love went with her in the form
of a Prince turned into a Hedge-
hog who loved the Princess
more than life; the Princess
grew to love the Hedgehog
also and her kiss revealed
Her love to him, turned him back
into a Prince; all the evil fairy had
done was to make sure that the
Princess had an adventurous life,
married her true love who had laid
down his life to save hers when he
became a Hedgehog to serve…

Fallen princess
Fallen princess is her new name for me,
fallen princess how she uses to call me,
so I start to doubt
Fallen princess, is this really me.
Once I sat on my high horse,
on the winner's throne.
Everything I wanted
was something on the floor, a dirty diamond.
So I climbed off my horse
and picked one of them.
By running away my white horse said
'Black isn't the shade of my soul, so let me go'.
A fallen princess with a dirty diamond.
Is this really me?
I don't know,
but you aren't allowed to judge me.

Candy Princess
I found a Candy Princess,
Lips bubblegum pink
Eyes sour apple green
I found a Candy Princess
Her dress is made of lollipops
Butter rum and Cherry
I found a Candy Princess
Her lips are sweet
They taste like cherries
I love my lollipop Candy Princess
We dance and sing,
Sticky sweet and happy
Innocence
Edible flowers wreathes
On our heads
I found a Candy Princess

Princess Of The Posse
Basslines affect me when my rhymes direct me
Forgive the crowds, o lord, they know not why they sweat me
Bitings against the law in the place that I live
So I lock up the door with the keys to my crib
The call me the high priestess of this hasta
Although Im not a dread and not a rasta
Theres never been a word I cant master
Ive always been, a piddly pastor
I reign, the lesson of today
You have to listen to each and every single word I have to say
Because the ruler lord ramsey is on my side
And Im the princess of the posse, so yo, take it light
The princess of the posse, me say she a cool one
She rhyme on my record and she ram jam me gun
The princess of the posse, me say she a cool girl
She rhyme brooklyn, the bronx, usa, the world
You try to dissect my rhymes to see if theres a pattern
I bounced it all around you like the rings around saturn
Let me know now if youd like to protest
And proceeding a greeting, or would you rather progress
Onto a higher plateau, to the peak and Im taking it slow
Enough for you to see the knowledge and to know
Im the q-u-e-e-n, l-a-t-i-f-a-h
Queen of the army posse, the dla which is
Get live alright, you standing there chewing on your fingernails
Nervous, watching me doing the live thing
Singing like a bird sing, ringing like the phone ring
Im the queen and youre the underling
Im never following, I follow nothing
The princess of the posse is a cool one
The princess of the posse, me say she a cool one
She rhyme on my record and she ram jam me gun
The princess of the posse, me say she a cool girl
She rhyme brooklyn, the bronx, usa, the world
Im the queen of the clan, with a mic in my hand
I step over suckers to position myself to rule this land
Its a concoction, for my ability
To show the skeezers the meaning of humility
Cause they dont know Im the one to fly one or two
Im snatching hearts cause Im latifah and I want to
I find it necessary to tell you to get off my tip
Im kicking gold, so grab a hoe and get a good grip
Stop the lying, the trying
The time buying, youve been denying
Youre dependent on me, the princess of the posse
I got the cards, so Im dealing a death blow
Youre taking no crowns, put that on cease
My djs name is mark the 45 king to the posse
Peace, got to let you know where I come from
The princess of the posse is a cool one
The princess of the posse, me say she a cool one
She rhyme on my record and she ram jam me gun
The princess of the posse, me say she a cool girl
She rhyme brooklyn, the bronx, usa, the world
Now take run the family
Me say me have to do it for the r.e. posse
You try to be down, you cant take the crown
Maybe from someone else but not me (repeat 2x)

Striding Into Childhood
Clip clip clip…
The barbaric barber
As if venting his grudge
Swung his scissors –
The pleasure was his!
Battle ravaged, I walked out in the sun,
Leaving him with his fun, and then…
A floodgate in me opened
Transforming my mood –
Lightly I strode into childhood!

I Am Mollie
I am mollie with frizzy hair and princess eyes
I wonder who I'll love when I'm older
I hear school bells and locker doors slamming
I see my sibling growing up
I want to do well in life
I am mollie with frizzy hair and princess eyes
I pretend I am a vampire warrior princess
I feel misunderstood by everyone around me
I touch my little sister's soft hair
I worry about relationships with the people I love
I cry when I think of leaving my family
I am mollie with frizzy hair and princess eyes
I understand that I'll have to grow up sometime
I say that I will eventually, but not now
I dream of becoming a wife, and a mother
I try to be a good daughter
I hope that all dogs go to heaven
I am mollie with frizzy hair and princess eyes

Daddy's Little Princes
Wanna know why I'm daddy's little princess
I'm daddy's little princess
Cause of his love for me
Daddy would rather lay down his life for me
to keep me from harm
Daddy would rather wear rags
So that I can wear the best
Daddy would rather starve
So that I can have something to eat
Daddy would rather have an empty wallet
so that I can get a decent education
Daddy would rather give up the things he loves
so that he can see the smile on my face
Daddy would rather walk to work
So that I can have taxi fare
This is why I'm daddy's princes
Cause he is my hero
My provider
My comforter
My shield
My mentor
My friend
My joy
My light
He is my all
Wanna know why I'm daddy's little princess
cause
He is my KING and I'm his princess
