To Bi Siyao

Once stately figures in the art of rhyme,
Now sadly down at heels, our careers in ruin,
Regarded by our servants with disdain,
We are grown old and gray before our time.
Yet in your joyful, carefree company,
The most consoling thought occurs to me:
Though we are doomed to poverty and strife,
Our poems shall have a long and prosperous life.

George Crabbe Wrote Of

George Crabbe wrote of hardship and poverty and woe
In the England he lived in a long time ago
But perhaps his poems might be more popular today
Had he looked at life in a less truthful way.

George Crabbe wrote of children in dire poverty
The poor sad victims of Human cruelty
And the poems full of pathos and the poems full of truth
Of a poet who was blessed with the great gift of ruth.

He wrote of human cruelty to their own kind
A God in the soul of such a person you'll find
He did not write of mythological figures or monarch or squire
He wrote for the poor his type I do admire.

Of the poverty around him he was all too aware
But poets like George Crabbe they have always been rare
Though if you feel a bit down and a good laugh you do need
His poems lacking in Humor are not for you to read.

Of the poor souls of England George Crabbe did write
His poems not hard to understand or to read or recite
And though as a person and poet he was great
Such poets the masses never do celebrate.

The Old Rhyming Poet

In his early eighties his best days long gone
But the gray haired old poet he keeps penning on
Though many see him as of another time
Sixty years as a poet and still writing in rhyme.

Though not seen as a mentor to the young poets of the town
He once was the Regional Poet Laureate and he knew of renown
When rhyme it was popular a long time ago
And his hair was as dark as the wing of a crow.

Not hard to tell he's known a far better day
The old rhyming poet that the years have left gray
It has been more than five decades since he was in his prime
Eventually we all become victims of time.

In time as in life few things do seem to last
And verses that rhyme are now seen as of the past
But to him to stop writing would be living a lie
And he will be a poet till the day that he die.

Fundamental of Liar Chapter CXXVI: Ruin

Do not ruin a good story
Do not ruin a perfect plan
Do not ruin a flawless lie
Do not ruin a great sacrifice
Do not ruin a hard work
Do not ruin a long trust
Do not ruin a magical moment
Do not ruin a golden opportunity
Do not ruin the current mood
Do not ruin an innocent dream
Do not ruin a sweet memory
Do not ruin a fair game
Do not ruin a mutual agreement
Do not ruin a smiling face
Do not ruin the flowing river
Do not ruin the sequence order
Do not ruin the standard procedure
Do not ruin the prepared show
Do not ruin a complete circle
Do not ruin a final ending
Do not ruin the leisure time
Do not ruin the aiming shot
Do not ruin the hidden purpose

Sonnet: A Good Poem

My Muse does not me bring riches, I seek;
A life of poverty with it comes meek;
I struggled with Poetry and my Rhymes,
Regardless of night/ day or other climes.

My inspirations most come from above;
These are the best poems and which I love;
These are the ones too, I don’t alter much;
For centuries, they can well stand as such.

I make some poems of my own design;
They aren’t the best always; so, I resign;
Whatever poem’s made, I shouldn’t alter,
Nor do I ever for money, barter.

All good poems that stand the test of time
Are inspired and perspired to rhyme.

Draggin My Heels

(clarke / sylvester / hicks)
First at the gate post but the last one through
I hung around far too long for you
Left out the game left out the deal
Stupid of me to be draggin my heels
Oh oh oh draggin my heels
Oh oh oh draggin my heels, heels
Time waits for no one and I wasted my time
Got to the crossroads but took the wrong sign
Id go too far didnt know how shed feel
Stupid of me to be draggin my heels
Oh oh oh draggin my heels
Oh oh oh draggin my heels, heels
If I had the chance to go back again,
I wouldnt do the same
I learned by mistakes
Id be on my knees Id be there to please
Id be anything you want me to be
You want to be
Verse 1
Heels, heels

We Need Poems To Make Us Love Life More

WE NEED POEMS TO MAKE US LOVE LIFE MORE

We need poems to make us love life more
Poems that will make us happier
Poems that will make us kinder, better people.
We need poems that will inspire us
That will add to our sense of the world’s Beauty
We need Poems that will make us love others as we love ourselves as we love God.
We need holy poems
And joyful poems
And blessed poems
And kind poems
We need poems which will make us love life more
Which will help us love others and ourselves more
God more
We need poems.

I Know Only Poems With Rhyme

To the children of the world

I know only poems with rhyme
That stay in tune with ev’ry clime.
I know only poems with beat
That make me stand up on my feet.
When poets all have breathed their last,
And poems are buried in dust,
Then children will come out in time
To dig the poems, black with grime.
And when the cloud of dust is gone,
And children are through having fun,
They’ll throw away poems like lime
But pick up only those with rhyme.

Sonnet: A Poet’s Life

Oh, how some poets have suffered in life!
In trying to eke their just livelihood;
To most, their most intimate friend was strife;
Orphaned and desperate right from childhood.

Oh, how they had run from pillar to post!
Doing odd jobs and working through the night;
Poverty remained forever a ghost;
For long years, denied were they of limelight.

Much vexed, some gave in to many a vice,
To taste an iota of so-called joy!
Their poems great offered others advice;
Alas! they remained an ill-fated toy.

Could not the Maker protect them from strife?
Perhaps, they all await a better life.

Sonnet: Future of Poetry

Poems I thought had good rhythm and Rhyme,
And a moral good at the end of each;
Good Poems I thought should the test of time,
And remained well within the masses’ reach.

Poems I thought had nice music in them,
With apt words placed in right place in each case;
It was a time for Poetry’s Anthem;
Alas, the art is in for a rat-race!

Modern Poetry that is being writ,
From Prose is hard to ever from it sift;
Slang, vulgarities somehow find a place;
’Tis doomsday for poetry at this pace!

Turned has the Wheel of Time almost fully;
’Tis time to draw water with the pulley!

My Poems Have Become Disordered

MY POEMS HAVE BECOME DISORDERED

My poems have become disordered-
They have lost their logic-
I do not know how to control them-
They break off in the middle
and go on in differerent directions
and cannot be brought back together
into a proper ending-

My poems have become disordered
as my mind
as my life
as all I do these days-

perhaps one day I tell myself
it will all be together again-

But for now
I go one way
my poems go another
and something in me
goes somewhere else
neither I nor my poetry know-

So that we are now perhaps
at the end of a poem
which not long ago
quietly and sadly
was only just begun.

Matt Damon

There are people who appear in the magazines and I don't know who they are. I've never seen anything they've done and their careers are over already. They're famous for maybe 10 minutes. Real careers, I think, take a long time to unfold.

Sonnet: Elixir of Life

O God, give me the Elixir of Life
To stay alive a century or more;
Thou free me forever from all my strife;
In divine love, let heart, mind and soul grow!

Poets of past years had a short life-span,
And died of disease, poverty and strife;
I wish to live long, die a holy man;
Give me on earth a spiritual Bard-life!

Could I be happy on earth and heaven?
Aware I am, Thou made me from mere clod;
Why didst Thou make me bard amidst such men?
What do I give Thee in return, O God?

Poems of mine will vindicate my love
And live for long, before I fly above!

Thanksgiving

happy thanksgiving to all poets and poetesses
this is my thanksgiving wish
hope you are enjoying a favourite dish
with family and friends
if family can't make it, then please phone
for all my family who have passed on
especially to my mom, who is not living
thanks for my life and all the love given
i miss you sadly - but for you
i know this thanksgiving
your happiness is endless
the grand feast is in the company
of our lord and creator
it will be the most joyful for you
for this thought, i have faith is true
this faith is where my solace lies

To Live In A Poor Place Or Suburb

To live in a poor Place or Suburb as bad as a punishable crime
That's how it is and always will be 'tis something that won't change in time
On the road that leads from the poor Suburb it is a long hike to success
Condemned by the street that you live on and condemned by your postal address
Condemned by the judgements of the judgemental to spend their lives in Earthly Hell
Few very few from the poor Suburb in life ever seem to do well
The judgemental arrogant talk of life choices but never of birth circumstance
The homeless youth of Poverty Street of success have such a slim chance
For them life is such a hard battle a tough steep climb all of the way
Where many are doomed for to die young and few live to be old and gray
Where so many do become outlaws and spend most of their lives in jail
They follow in parental footsteps from birth they are doomed for to fail
Those born and raised in the poor Place or Suburb have little hope of happiness
Their life journey is such a tough road with so little chance of success.

Little Glimpse

Sight or little glimpse of dear one
Makes us feel good for some one
As we are social animal and need company
This aspect is mostly realized by many

It makes you cry
When you are unhappy and annoyed
What makes you restless at that time?
Little comfort and company make us happy sometimes

We can take refuge in friend’s company
It may be required as first step to accompany
It adds to color in life long journey
Life becomes joyful and worries free

You have no regret about it there after
Life is spent with roaring laughter
There is distinct possibly of going it wrong
As you are luckiest fellow among

Life, goal, happiness may soon follow
You have to steer the course or to allow
Wish and try it happens in right direction
Rest all depends on your determination

Most important thing in life is satisfaction
Whatever you do must be matched with your action
Life can’t be taken that easily
As fruits do not ripe on tree that easily

Oh The Poems And More Poems

OH THE POEMS AND THE MORE POEMS

Oh the poems and the more poems
The wonderful poems I am writing all the time
God has given me this gift
And when I wait in the right way
And when I listen to myself properly
The poems come in ways I could never have thought of or imagined before
They come as mysteries as gifts as surprises
As wonderful to me as perhaps to you their possible readers
Oh the poems and the more poems
The wonderful poems God has given me
And the light of this day and so many other days, also.

Find Time To Experience Silence

silence
occurs not
in long bursts

silence
occurs not
in measured intervals

silence
is not happening
in counting seconds passage

half an hour
an hour embodied
in still motionless meditation

access
pure potentuality
in dimensions of silence

meditate
concentrated mind
is empty devoid of thought

aid
mental
spiritual perception

cast aside
turmoil thought fever
find time to experience silence

Magical Spring Time

Spring time, Oh spring time
Where flows life's rhyme
Tulips, daffodils and other flowers
Showing us all God's power
Gardens are full of flowers and weeds
Its time to sprout the magical seeds
That makes this world's show
And for that we all to God owe
A special thanks in life's rhyme
For sending His lovely spring time

Rainbow appears just after rain
Clear sky all brings us fain
Puddles, splashes and melting dew
Are lovely and magnificant views
Where rain drops come to the earth
To bring us happiness and mirth
And welcome us on this journey of life
Where we are all bound to survive
Spring time, oh spring time
Where flows life's rhyme

Where we are all on board
Ready with zest and packed for the road
And learn to here discover treasure
That no one can ever imagine or measure
And there just leave your heart's door ajar
And let your wings fly you afar
And let you enjoy the light that shines
And spread in life the happiness wine
For here comes the magical spring time
Where flows life's joyful rhyme.

We Know Little

As knowledge goes I have a long way to go
So little of life and of Nature I know
I have not grown wiser but I have grown gray
And the clock on my life it is ticking away
The praises of Nature so many do sing
But the vastness of Nature is a humbling thing
Even the great whales are small in the vastness of the sea
The World we live in seems enormous to me
Of why the birds and of how the plants grow
The more we learn of life and Nature the less we know we know
Of the World around us we've been learning since before we learned how to crawl
But we realize as we learn we know little at all
Of life and of Nature you may be old and gray
But you never stop learning until your last day.
