Teamwork’s Best

Let’s learn from birds what team-work is about!
Let birds teach us the advantages brought;
Let’s forge ahead in ‘We’s’ and not in ‘I’s’!
Let’s fly like birds together in life’s skies!

The leader bears the brunt along the way;
It has to fly ahead on, come what may;
It keeps the direction for birds behind;
The strong air-resistance, it does not mind!

The ‘V’ formation lessens air friction;
It helps all birds in ease of flight-action;
The wing-beating of birds is lessened much;
Their movement gains a sturdy, gentle touch.

’Tis best to fly in groups in harmony;
The single bird that flies looks so funny;
Your mind is stronger when friends are with you;
Encouragement comes, seeing others do.

The flock does better than a single bird;
The single bird is not as good as herd;
Some stay behind to help, in case it needs;
Good friends are blessing indeed for good deeds!

By working as a team, more work is done;
The work is done with ease and looks like fun;
The problems faced alone are quite galore;
Alone, you cannot for long, keep the fore.

United, we can accomplish more things;
Together, we do not feel life’s worst stings!
Our goals are easier to reach as a team;
Reality comes even to a dream!

And if the leader cannot stay ahead,
Give way to others, to youngsters to head;
Just take your position in lower rungs;
You’ve flown enough for long with your dear lungs!

Good leaders must be humble to others;
You utilize the talents of brothers;
Resources must be pooled to achieve goals;
In life, we ought to take up newer roles!

Life’s problems can be tackled together;
Flock together, birds of the same feather;
We gain right attitude from all around;
We keep the direction, whither we’re bound!

Progress comes faster working as good teams;
Successes come like light from star that gleams;
Whole team is benefited even more;
Life is not monotonous and a bore!

Alone in life, ’tis tough to live always;
Alone on earth, we cannot spend our days;
Teamwork involves sinking differences;
Teamwork means forgetting preferences.

If success be our goal in life’s domain,
Togetherness is boon and not a bane;
The bond of selflessness must rule our life;
We must help others whenever in strife!

Teamwork is best for everything on earth;
Our Mother Nature tells this right from birth;
Why singly struggle when union is strength;
Why waste our precious time, God-given breath!

Sonnet: Goodness Prevails

Birds of the same feather flock together;
Men of goodwill work for the commonweal;
Men of evil-minds work with common zeal;
Like-minded men work in a joint manner.

A pack of Wolves attack a flock of Sheep;
Lions join forth to take on one Zebra;
Turkeys die from one poisonous Cobra;
Sinners off sin, one saintly man can keep.

Union is strength in good things or in bad,
Amidst the law-maker or law-breaker;
Groups and killers unite in this world mad;
The good do suffer but God is their Keeper!

The world looks good still ’cause of a good few;
White color lightens any other hue!

Good Friendship

In friendship lies, life’s beauty prime –
A bond that stands the test of time,
And withstands every change of clime.

Good friendship makes life worth living;
Than taking, life is in giving –
The crux of friendship, worth telling!

Our earthly life would be a bore,
Without good friendship at its core:
That takes each person to the fore!

Though parents care for their children,
And relatives for kith and kin,
Yet, friends usher on earth, heaven!

Happy the ones, who have good friends!
Their worries in life, almost ends:
In need, good friend always attends.

And without friends, life could be sad,
And make all events, pretty bad,
And turn some persons, almost mad!

Good friends are rarely found in life,
And help you timely in your strife –
Some turning husband or your wife!

Nurture good friendship if you can;
Essential are friends good, man:
Those add spice to your earth’s life-span.

Sonnet: God Protects His Righteous Souls

The devils play a clever game in life;
Denied of position long over-due,
They cause tussle between husband and wife,
And start off monetary problems new!

Chaos afills my workplace once again;
Misunderstandings ’mongst relatives start;
My call to friends for help goes up in vain;
Good souls who favor me quickly depart.

The Holy Spirit in me gives me hope;
My faith renewed takes me to God’s own words;
In short a span, I’ve learnt problems to cope;
God promised man much better things than birds!

My heart is free once more and mind is sane;
God turns into my boon, what was my bane!

My Dream Regarding The Two Beautiful Birds

i

how do you get to
hit two beautiful birds
with a single
stone?

ii

or how to make these two
beautiful birds to get to stay
beside my window sill?

iii

how do i make these two beautiful birds
happier?
shall i make a bird house on a tree
beside my house
and give them grains every morning of the day?

iv

how do i make this dream about two beautiful birds
into a reality? they keep on chirping inside my mind
wanting to be given the realistic form of wings

like some eyebrows
wings flapping just above my eyes
the mountains my cheeks
my mind the skies

Beak Kind To Birds!

Beak kind to birds both near and far,
Both high and low as well...
To me, each bird's a superstar!
In fact, to me, they're swell!
Beak kind to birds and show you care
With titbits now and then...
And watch with wonder as they share
Their breakfast once again!
Beak kind and keep your cats at bay...
Else feeding birds take flight!
It's nicer seeing birds at play
Than watching them take fright!
Beak kind to birds, give them their space
So they may co-exist...
For none on Earth can take their place,
So they'd be sorely missed!
Beak kind to birds, they'll flock to you -
They're all our feathered friends!
It doesn't matter, black or blue...
Beak kind - 'cos it makes sense!

Good Life

Seven days of work
Getting no break
Gotta take a day off to unwind
It gives me time to get away
A little time to ease my mind, my mind tonight
Forget about your worries
Save your problems for tomorrow
Tonight just try to have a good time
Let the DJ make it easy
Let the music help you do it
Tell me don't you wanna live the good life
The Good Life
Good friends, no stresses
The Good Life
Laid back, relaxed in
The Good Life
Good love, no messes
The Good Life
Wanna live in the Good Life
Dancing with a glass of champagne
Or maybe Chardonay, keep me feeling good all night
See so many happy people on the floor
Leave your problems at the door, the door
Forget about your worries
Save your problems for tomorrow
Tonight just try to have a good time
Let the DJ make it easy
Let the music help you do it
Tell me don't you wanna live the good life
The Good Life
Good friends, no stresses
The Good Life
Laid back, relaxed in
The Good Life
Good love, no messes
The Good Life
Wanna live in the Good Life
The Good Life
Good friends, no stresses
The Good Life
Laid back, relaxed in
The Good Life
Good love, no messes
The Good Life
Wanna live in the Good Life
We'll dance the night away
Inside it feels so good I wanna stay
Althought I hate I have to go
And face another day
I'm gonna get my groove on and party, party
Forget about your worries
Save your problems for tomorrow
Tonight just try to have a good time
Let the DJ make it easy
Let the music help you do it
Tell me don't you wanna live the good life
[Faith](Flex)
The Good Life
Don't you wanna live in
The Good Life
Laid back, relaxed in
The Good Life
Good friends, good lovin'
The Good Life
Oh I wanna live the good life
(Yeah, exactly)
The Good Life
(Ha, ha)
Tell me do you wanna live
(You know what I mean)

This is our Nest

This is our nest,
Our very own;
This is our home,
Sweet one, we built.

This is the tree,
In which we live:
A peaceful life,
Without much strife.

These are our young,
Two lovely birds-
Our only wealth:
Solace in life.

O God, we pray:
Help us each day,
In Your own way,
To have our say.

Give us our health;
Provide our wants;
Protect us Lord,
From ‘friendly foes’!

We must make it,
Our race on earth:
In good a style,
And quite worthwhile.

Nevertheless,
Let’s keep our souls
In grace, sinless,
By divine roles.

Happy Friendship-Day,2009

Let friends in life be few but firm;
Let all those few be thick and great;
Let friendship good last for life-time,
And be a satisfying one!

Let friends be precious and worthwhile;
Let friendship grow and stay ev’r-green;
Let friends become true role-models,
And guide our life on earth nobly!

Let friends hold us spell-bound in life;
Let friends share joys and grief as well;
Let friendship’s sway make us better,
And give us moments to be proud!

Let friends be part of earthly lives;
Let friendship stay a boon, not bane;
Let friends be inseparable,
And be like angel guardians dear!

Let friendship fill the world with love,
And dispel gloom and solitude;
Let friends be more than siblings born,
And make our life on earth fruitful!

Let friendship glue a hearty bond;
Let friends bring godliness in life;
Let friendliness perfume the world,
And make our earthly lives worthwhile!

Let love turn foes to be like friends;
Let friends make earth a paradise;
Let friendliness rule hearts and minds,
And fix our gaze to God above!

Remain in cage

Who would love to remain in cage?
With forceful confinement and bondage
No one I think on this beautiful earth
Life can be totally free only after death

Whole sky has remained a free zone
For birds to fly in air and come down one by one
In search of food and again air borne
Think of a scene when such freedom is suddenly gone

Many organizations are now working for freedom
Help secretly with funds and moral support even
Who do noble work for birds that are kept in cage?
The birds may like to live free but held under captivity and bondage

Birds must find their safe heaven
Lots of gardens must be brought up even
Forests are fast depleting with dangerous exposures
Their existence is at stack and life not very sure

If they can’t use their language then we must understand
Love and kindness must be shown and treated as natural friends
They are inseparable part of God and nature
If we have right to live then they too need to be assured

Set them free and allow natural hide outs
We have made them extinct and there is nothing to talk about
When we don’t like to remain under occupation?
They are no different from others in such relations

Think of a person kept in prison with lavish food
He won’t feel at comfort or anything good
If movement is restricted then liberty ends
And if liberty ends we are reaching dead end

What is use of beautiful garden if there are no visitors?
Flowers may be blooming but no birds to venture
Why not we have them some places reserved?
In this way our interest may be well served

At every moment

At every moment I die to rise again
Nothing can deter me not even pain
I may not work exclusively for gain
I may enjoy remaining with nature and getting wet in rain

That is exactly what goes around
New joy is in offing and always found
You may be seen loitering round
It may appeal and looks very sound

I may be simply lost with imagination
There may be lots of questions
I may think wise and equate
Confide to friends and relate

I am nature’s lover and love birds
I enjoy their language in nice words
Do they wish to convey something?
Have they to do it with anything?

They on scene with melodious voice
There is pleasure in their noise
They are in mood and ready to poise
It is preparation to go ahead and poise

If birds can leave nest in search for food
Why can’t I try to reach out for good?
They flock together and guide the path
Go quiet on surface of water and enjoy the bath

It is not quest for anything but only survival
They have their own way and attempts for revival
They will not only look after wingless new born
Though they may face the danger and easily torn

I should stay with what ever I have
I need to be bold and brave
If birds can do with self dependence
Why should I not go ahead without interdependence?

There may come success and failure
They may alter the course for sure
I must stay calm with composure
You won’t need anybody to reassure

Try to be as near as possible with truth
It may be useful and worth
Why you need outright conquest?
When you have tried your best

It is not bad to remain and live for self
Sea too is obsessed with treasure in shelf
What is use of holding it when can’t be taken to use
Help to create congenial atmosphere and irritants to defuse

You may live to see world again
It may be altogether different with gain
There may be joy and happiness without pain
Worries may disappear and take to back seat again

Live full life with strong zeal
Try to confine but not to conceal
Don’t lock your self but reveal
It may then prove as holy deal

Everybody is not blessed with fortune
Not all people will dance with your tune
It is not necessary that you may be offered with rose
You have the right to for it and choose

Green Bird, Golden Bird.

A tired green bird flew a very long journey,
Came to a stop in a beautiful valley.
There were many birds of all colours singing and playing,
Among them he saw a beautiful golden bird,
Her feathers shining in the bright sunshine,
And her voice echoed melodiously.

Within a short time the green and golden birds were close friends,
They knew each other deeply by heart,
Passing the days, flying from valley to valley,
And resting from tree to tree.

Then one sad day, golden bird must return,
She too had flown from across the vast ocean,
Even though it broke the green bird's heart,
But he was willing to let go, and before she left, .. he asked;

Golden bird, have I full-filled my promises to you?
That I would never hurt you,
That I would protect you with my life,
That I would share my provisions with you,
That I would make you happy and smiling always!

Is there any single word to describe all these?

Golden bird,
I will pray for your lasting happiness,
I will never forget your overflowing kindness,
You have nested permanently in my heart…and lastly,

I dream for us to be able to fly together again,
in unimaginable beautiful green heaven!

Sexy Single

All my life I've tried to find
A love to give me piece of mind
And I, I looked into your eyes
Captivated by your wicked smile
I was mesmerized there
for a while or two
But what's a girl gonna do?
Oh I lay in my bed
with your stupid face in my head
Just another piece in my life
Now I'm a sexy single
Sexy single that's OK
I'm living on my own
And I'm feeling the way I do
Like a sexy single
Sexy single
Birds of a feather
We flock together
Like leaves on a tree
We were meant to be in love
I guess it was just a dream
Oh I lay in my bed
with your stupid face in my head
Just another piece in my life
Sexy single
Sexy single that's OK
I'm living on my own in my special way
Like a sexy single
Sexy single
I'm sexy single
Sexy single
Sexy single
I said I'm living on my own
And feeling the way I do
When I'm not with you
I said I'm sexy single
That's OK
Living on my own
And feeling the way I do
I said when I'm not with you
Sexy single that's OK
I'm living on my own in my special way
Like a sexy single

Tweety Birds

Two tweety birds,
Hangout on a branch.
Two tweety birds,
Waiting for their lunch.

Their time is spent
Tweeting, preening in a bunch.
A ritual, a noise event.
Birds gather not in a 'bunch',

They stay together in a 'flock'.
I wrote 'bunch'
to rhyme with lunch.
So there, you have it in a block!

Birds of a feather flock together,
Sing melodious tunes
Birds of a feather in any weather,
Tweet in timely tunes.

Set them free..They will multiply..

Watching the birds is real fun,
no need dime, only the time,
colorful birds to colored birds,
chirping birds to singing birds,
flying birds to walking birds,
cunning birds to love birds,
Watching birds is just a lesson,
making mind to have a vision.

collect the twigs to make the nest,
one by one, they think the best,
choose the right tree,
just high and free,
Making the nest perfect,
without any single defect,
The birds toil together or alone,
all day long until it is done.

I bought two love birds,
that were kept in a cage.
Hung the cage under the balcony,
above the reach of dogs not felony.
chirping disturbed their sleep,
Nikko, the dog set them free.
Only two flew away,
but I have a few dozens now,
making their nests,
right in front of me, on the trees.

Watching the birds is real fun,
no need dime, only the time.

When the birds fly

When the birds fly
the mind opens its eye
the heart looks up to the sky
the birds fly.

The birds fly south
the ear opens its mouth
the nose sees summer
the kids they are playing out...

When the birds fly
we dream our words dont die.
Reborn with a babys cry
the birds fly leaving stars
they stay in the night,
we are the birds
we escape to the light.

All The Animals

All the animals
Agree you and me
Should be a team
And they walk on parade
Say that we were made
To be a team
And my flesh melts beneath your tongue
I am your little comunion
And all the rainbows
Tell me that they know
Were a perfect pair
And the birds up in the sky
Say they can see it from way up high
Were a perfect pair
And my wings weaken beneath your will
And before you I am trembling and still
All the birds know it
One and one is two
All the birds see it
Tell me why dont you
And all the light of the sun
Doesnt help me out none
Cuz you still cant see me

Sonnet: The Man of Wisdom!

Most labor for immediate good returns;
Some work all life to pull off great a feat;
For benefits and earthly gains, heart yearns;
We always want success to come and greet!

The man of wisdom does not wish for these;
He does his duties all whole-heartedly;
He only wants at mind and heart some peace;
He prays to God all life repeatedly!

All earthly things are transient, worthless;
Our stay on earth prepares our soul for God;
Our needs of life God gives, nevertheless;
This human life’s most precious gift from Lord!

God’s blessings give anyone good awards;
God-willingly anyone gets rewards.

Life’s Uncertain but…

Not all the buds become flowers;
Not all flowers turn into seeds;
Not all the seeds turn into plants!
Not all the plants live long enough.

Why someone commits suicide?
–we really can never know;
But let us not blame him alone,
For ending life, ahead of time.

Not all need do things all alike;
Not all get chances equally;
Not all get similar environs;
Not all need succeed all the time.

Some do decide in ways unique;
Some take risks that others will not;
Some aim and dream much differently;
Some cannot bear failures in life!

Let us not judge the next person;
Let us not make fun of their acts;
Let us not find fault with others;
Let us not misunderstand some.

Whoever is perfect on earth?
Whoever takes right decisions?
Whoever can make predictions?
Whoever knows when one’s life ends?

’Tis sad to hear of suicides;
May be, they have pressures within;
May be, they have ample reasons;
May be, they feel, they’ve done aright!

The stress and strain of life are much;
We must be tolerant always;
Yet, life can give us surprises;
Sometimes, we cannot bear the shame!

But youngsters need to lessen stress;
They must act wisely in distress;
Life has its joys and woes admixed;
Life brings us crosses, laurels too!

Remaining sane is duty prime;
We must not work in hasty ways;
Harsh decisions may be deferred;
Emotions should not rule our mind!

Most problems can be solved with time;
A bit of patience does the trick;
Advice from others works magic;
Why cut the thread of life with ease?

Youngsters must talk to wise elders;
They must not have pent-up feelings;
They must not live with heavy hearts;
Life has more joys to give than woes!

Life’s attitudes must be correct;
Don’t make moot decisions in haste;
Anticipate set-backs in life;
Our life is worth living it full!

Place God within your hearts and minds;
Pray for His help when things go wrong;
Your conscience tells you what is right;
Let darkness not pervade life’s light!

Life is to live the way God wants;
Life is to live most righteously;
Life is to tread the heaven’s path;
Life is to reach God with soul pure!

Sonnet: A Village-life is Better

A city-life has gone to dogs these days,
With problems of water, shelter and food;
The cost of living has gone up always;
The ‘luxury’ cannot keep one’s health good!

A village-life is far better to all;
Tho’ time ticks slowly, health is at its peak;
Yet, love and courtesy is maintained tall;
A simple livelihood, most farmers eke.

But still, men throng the cities all the time,
To live a discontented, worthless life?
And neither are the mind and soul sublime;
Man struggles much to combat daily strife.

So, why can’t men be level-headed then,
And live ’midst Nature’s plants, beasts, birds like wren?
