On Human Life on Earth

My arms are not just long enough;
My legs are never swift;
And what matters in men is, Oh,
The grey-mater- God’s gift!

There is an inherent reward
In things of earthly mould;
There’s too innate punishment-card
That comes from God untold!

This is the paradox of life
For men who come from mud;
Men’s decisions are fraught with strife;
They do more harm than good.

The more the frontiers of earth’s science
Advance in many fields,
Man better keep his conscience
In all the things he deals!

Although men may achieve much things,
And God made man for that,
Success in life is what God brings;
Man is God’s mere door-mat!

No matter how much shrewd man be,
He never can outdo,
His Creator more skillfully,
But, God’s Will, he must woo!

When man has reached the far-limit
Of earthly senses, thence,
To further science, he is unfit:
His quest for God begins!

However great a man may be,
Mother Nature’s the best;
When time is spend more wastefully,
Man fails God’s earthly Test!

Sonnet: The Futility of Man’s Labors

The ‘why’ of many things is still unknown;
The ‘how’ of certain things, puzzle remains;
The ‘where’ of many things is lesser known;
The ‘when’ of certain things, waxes and wanes.

Most earthly matters are not lucid still;
Most divine things are known not in the least;
Most human achievements are by the ‘will’;
Most natural phenomena aren’t yet pieced.

Sojourn of man on earth has done nothing;
Life-span of man is too short to achieve;
It matters not whether pauper or king;
The man of wisdom does in God believe.

The greatest feats of man on earth are naught;
Compared to Nature, man’s work is a dot!

Sonnet- My Ultimate Wish?

Could I not spend my days talking to God?
My precious time is spent in daily food;
If all spend lives holy, it will look odd;
Man's knowledge of the Divine is so crude.

Could I not spend my days walking with God?
What earthly work we do to save this frame!
Why do we hanker for earthly reward?
We waste God's time in sin without much shame.

Could I not spend my days thinking of God?
My thoughts are just on things of earthly mould;
Oh, how we wish that human beings laud?
Yet, without God, our hearts and souls grow cold.
Oh, how I wish I had more time for God!
Whose love for man comes with a kindly rod.

God’s work is most perfect

Lying in bed, weak and still,
Victim of an unknown ailment;
My mind looks still clear, I think well,
Of things seen, unseen and Godsent.
Man’s achievements in Science looked good;
But dullened, his conscience stood;
He was after greater glory!
Ignoring God, I felt sorry.
I saw the Master Sculptor’s work,
Which was amazingly perfect;
No doubt, His was the very best;
Our earthly tries, I now detest;
God knows whatever man can do;
His Creator, Man can’t outdo!

Sonnet: God is Great

Denies me God, some things that I did ask;
He gives me many more, I don’t deserve;
He knows my heart despite my facial mask;
He helps me timely and Him only serve.

Perhaps I ask for things not important;
My earthly eyes cannot discern His ways;
On Life’s fabric, His love acts like mordant;
“Just ask and it will be given, ” He says.

God fully knows what things are best for me;
He knows the ideal time and routes to give;
He sees my heart and soul primarily;
He guides my earthly decisions to live.

So, God is great in everything He charts;
No devils dare raise doubts in human hearts!

A Poet’s Love

My heart is one and only one:
A furnace full of love, my own;
Despite my giving it wholesome,
It grows and tries to more blossom!

My heart has grown in size some way;
O’er-filled with love, begins to sway;
My Maker kind did full it fill,
So that I could give love at will.

A poet loves Nature so well,
In which God does always much dwell;
Almighty God, He is my Friend;
I shall love Him until my end.

My heart is one- belongs to God;
I long to live in good accord;
As men are selfish to the core,
My heart to God, I owe much more.

The things all that we do on earth
Are mainly ones which give less mirth;
It seems that good men are a dearth;
I pray that heaven stays on earth!

Our life on earth is just a phase,
To keep our soul and save our face;
If you could lift your heart beyond,
You will hear well God’s call- command!

Our earthly feat is important;
With sins, our soul turns impotent;
My talent is God-giv’n a gift;
Nurture I must or go adrift.

A man cannot serve two masters;
And if he tries, he just falters;
Love God alone and love Him well,
And earthly life will turn out swell!

Sonnet: The Man of Wisdom!

Most labor for immediate good returns;
Some work all life to pull off great a feat;
For benefits and earthly gains, heart yearns;
We always want success to come and greet!

The man of wisdom does not wish for these;
He does his duties all whole-heartedly;
He only wants at mind and heart some peace;
He prays to God all life repeatedly!

All earthly things are transient, worthless;
Our stay on earth prepares our soul for God;
Our needs of life God gives, nevertheless;
This human life’s most precious gift from Lord!

God’s blessings give anyone good awards;
God-willingly anyone gets rewards.

Sonnet: Just Think Awhile, Man

Tho’ Hercules or Samson, one must die!
And leave the world after God-granted time;
But there aren’t many things in which we vie;
Each one must try to make his life sublime.

Our strength will fail us one day while on earth;
Our beauty cannot stay as such for long;
We can’t maintain forev’r a youthful girth;
Some day surely it ends our earthly-song!

Yet, happy is the man with peace of mind,
And happier is he still whose heart is pure;
And happiest is the soul of man unsinned;
A place in Heaven, God will us ensure.

Why waste life-time in things of earthly mould?
Our Shepherd Good wants us back in His fold.

All Things Are Simply Possible, Just By God's Saving Grace!

I aimed to accomplish one thing,
But turned to be yet another;
I thought I was unfit in life,
But God brought me out of all strife.
All things are simply possible,
Just by God's saving grace!

I travelled by a road I chose;
It led me to an alien place;
I thought I had a blunder done;
God gave me timely rain and sun!
All things are simply possible,
Just by God's saving grace!

I felt awful and depressed oft,
And life had turned quite meaningless;
To God, I cried in despair, ‘Lord! '
My strength returned reading His Word!
All things are simply possible,
Just by God's saving grace!

I saw the modern world of man,
Afilled by sin and wickedness;
I felt like asking God, ‘But why? '
Hope filled my heart anew from sky!
All things are simply possible,
Just by God's saving grace!

I found all earthly life futile,
And wished from heart to earlier die!
But God renewed my spirits high,
And made my earthly stay worthwhile!
All things are simply possible,
But by God's saving grace!

Sonnet: Most Earthly Things Don't Last For Long!

There are some things we wished to have in life;
We tried our level-best to get them fast,
Despite our poverty, trials and strife;
But once acquired, they turned things of past!

There are some more, we could not get at all,
Despite our many struggles to procure;
But then, they turned like autumn leaves that fall;
And left us just the anguish to endure!

Nevertheless, all earthly things don't last;
Our soul carries the good and bad, we do;
Our evil done stealthily looks aghast;
The good we did becomes scarce, almost few!

All things of earth return to dust some day!
The state of soul decides after-life's way!

Sonnet: Our Earthly Life

Our earthly life has anguish and travail,
But dedication can achieve most things;
Yet, ne’er worry if at times you may fail;
Take up your problems as and when life brings.

Labor, we must- there is no cause to fear;
Don’t be afraid, for rampant is life’s strife;
Though fear of not making success is there,
All cannot make it to the dais of life.

The scars life leaves are sometimes deep enough;
The grief life brings is sometimes too propound;
The wounds life makes don’t heal for some are tough;
In Hope, our life’s journey is always bound.

Endure, restart, labor, rededicate;
Many things in life, we must masticate.

Sonnet: Be Content Man, Always!

Each day, I want to do so many things!
A fraction but I do, of what I’d thought;
Our time gets frittered, tackling strife life brings;
To be contented in our lives, we ought.

The many things we plan don’t turn out well;
Some things we never think of happen right;
Sometimes, our life’s a veritable hell;
Should we yet burn the oil of the mid-night?

Yet, this is how our life on earth goes on;
Just take the things as they come in your wake;
A garb of toil, patience and hope, we don,
And do our duty at least for God’s sake!

Nevertheless, be content Man, always;
Then pleasantly pass off our earthly days!

Conscience –

The ‘Inner Voice’ in-built by God,
In every human being born,
That tells what’s wrong and what is right,
And helps in moral decisions!

The laws of lands may change a lot;
The guidelines may be different;
The ethics too metamorphose;
But Conscience keeps the truth standard!

The modern man has ‘conscience rot’!
His faith in science has grown mammoth;
He thinks all things are human made –
Believing in mere human strength!

The world cannot ignore conscience;
No man can do much, without God;
If laws are made for human rights,
They shan’t be anti-God /Nature!

Man better heed to conscience first;
All things he does will turn out fine;
Ethical dilemmas vanish,
And soul of man will stay most pure!

Advice to Youngsters

Not one’s perfect in this earthly domain;
Perfection’s something, we tend to attain;
Mistakes and blunders in life, we may do;
Repent for our sins, someday, we ought to.

God is our Helper, Protector and Guide;
By His life-tenets, we must all abide;
You act and live as per your conscience;
Forget not God despite progress in science.

Our thoughts and actions should not be reckless;
Keep body’s sanctity; be not careless;
To keep our soul stain-free, refrain from sin:
That is the only way to reach heaven.

Thank God for his remarkable kindness;
Be sure the life you lead is of fairness;
God holds His anger in undue harness;
Our earthly life should avoid ‘The Furnace.”

Whatever life, so far it could have been,
Whatever thought, word, deed, we do unseen;
God knows our every moment in our life;
In God, you take refuge, amidst your strife.

You count your blessings, God hath given you;
Thank Him for all the many things you do;
Remember our goal on earth is heaven;
We all must labor against the demon;

Comforts and beauty do not last for long;
We know the every right from every wrong;
Our human body is sacred also;
You keep your soul pure and seek God therefore.

Our love-making on earth is corporeal;
Our senses perceived may not be real;
True love is divine; you keep your virtues;
Between heaven and hell, your choice to choose.

It is not late to turn into new leaf;
In fierce winds, boats must come under a reef;
Our soul’s purity outscores other things;
The best in life, our labor only brings!

Sonnet: Make Life on Earth Secure

When umptine lives get lost in hurricanes,
And many more are lost to Tsunamis,
And Nature’s furies take more down its lanes,
Man promises an earthly life of peace!

When affluent cities get destroyed fast,
And powerful leaders make blunders so great,
And glorious people’s lives turn soon aghast,
Man still believes in science, himself and fate!

All human toil on earth can’t last for long;
Man’s intellect betrays him many times;
Our earthly life is just a finite song;
God is the one who helps man in all climes.

When life is short, why man destroys earth / space?
What Maker plans, no man can ev’r efface!

Sonnet: God Doesn’t Forsake Us

Some allergens just cut us down to size;
Some life’s problems can pin us down to earth;
Some follies made can make us rather wise;
Some sins we do are curses right from birth!

Life gives us strife in addition from God;
The devils too can make our burden more;
Nevertheless, we shouldn’t take them as rod;
God opens us always a newer door!

Life’s tests, trials, tribulations long last;
We ought to have a heart undaunted, so;
We shouldn’t be undermined by sins of past;
On earth, the evil One’s our only foe!

All things in earthly life are transient;
Just have in you, the God, omniscient.

The World of Chaos

When things don't happen as we want in life,
Must we then fret and fume and worry much?
When things go wrong, must we complain to God?
Just think about those more unfortunate!

Our earthly life has ups and downs for all;
The God of fairness cares for all creatures;
But man has made the earth sadder to live;
Why blame the God of goodness for our strife?

Millions of people can't afford one meal;
Many live shelterless and half-naked;
The middle class is burdened by much tax;
Elected leaders enjoy power and pelf.

The common man in misery is found;
Heinous crimes keep mounting high every day;
Basic amenities are denied to most;
If Nature works untimely, all is lost!

And man forgets the God who provides him;
He does not thank the Giver for His grace;
Men think they achieve things by own efforts;
Their hearts seek God when troubles afflict them!

Sonnet: Man is Foolish?

How foolish truly man can sometimes be!
Trying to search for life in stellar Space;
When things are there on earth in aplenty;
Man's quest for wealth elsewhere is in fast pace.

Believing machines that he has devised;
Relying on Science, much more than on, God;
Doing things destructive, uncivilised;
Man cares for earthly acclaim and award.

0 how he wastes his energy and time!
And how he wastes hard-earned wealth in research!
He forgets that his soul must be sublime;
Spiritual life and God are left in lurch.

This is how man has been foolish for long;
And sings by heart a discontented song.

Sonnet: In Earthly Life

Most things we do in life appear in vain;
Most decisions we take seem incorrect;
Attempts we make in worldly life are bane:
Sad plight of Homo sapiens who’s erect!

We must not measure labor with money;
We can’t return our parents’ love in life;
We cannot gauge Bees’ toil that makes honey;
God compensates our efforts ’midst our strife.

The love of man for God is not so deep;
The love of God which made us is so great;
His code of conduct, every man must keep;
God helps us always to improve our fate.

Sometimes, our earthly life seems like a drill;
Nevertheless, we ought to do God’s will!

In Life on Earth…

The west is not always the best
And east not always the worst;
The north is indiscernible;
The south is unexplainable.

Never ape all things you find around;
Never follow ones un-understandable;
Emulate the good found in others;
Take the good what cultures offer you.

Give unto Caesar what is due to him;
Give unto God what rightly belongs to Him;
One cannot serve both world and God
Except by being righteous all the time.

Nothing you do must exceed its limits;
There are some things that God abhors;
Both good and bad on earth are transient
But will decide your spot in after-life.

Learn to be wise and risk not priceless life;
Learn to not hate but love others around;
Learn to adjust with neighbours and creatures;
Learn to seek God and truth by being holy!

In life on earth, we ought to live right way;
Our conscience will ably guide us through;
Why worry for things earthly, lasting short?
Work for those things eternal in heaven!

You’ll Live Long!

If ’tis God’s wish, you will live long,
With kith and kin, hearty and hale,
And God won’t illness to prolong,
But end your life’s tornadoes, gale!

With love and care that surround you,
You will recover indeed soon;
May be, God wants you to much do;
Your illness will turn earthly boon!

Keep your courage, power of will;
One’s span of life is in God’s Hands;
Keep your spirits cheerful until,
The grace of God upon you lands.

The strength of prayers can work much;
Man’s body cannot live on own;
God’s blessings have miraculous touch;
You are never on earth alone.

So, cheer up man in ways you can;
None can predict his earthly span;
God’s love for every creature made,
Will stay forever and not fade.

Have trust in Almighty God then;
All things will brighten up with time;
Decreed are all things by heaven,
In ways of God and in His clime.
