Goose Steps Up My Spine
millions starved to death:
missiles fired overhead.
sea games with seoul
under nato* control.
pyongyang power ill prince
trotting past mad troops.
when he stands in his suit
generals all about salute
and smirk.
quaint peasants in rows
step goose bumps up my arms
for as far as totems go
it's grim as stalin
and that pole has been climbed
*NATO

We've had some fairly intensive discussions leading up to these meetings between NATO and Russia, preparing for them, and it's going to be a very important six months for NATO.

I think before 1997 is over, NATO will have taken giant strides in what's called adaptation, the discussions about bringing the French fully into the NATO forces.

While Slovakia did not make the first round of NATO membership, as various requirements and reforms are instituted, these actions will enhance the opportunities to join NATO.
Sama Sa Usa Ka Suba
Panglantaw, ug isunod nato paghatag
Tan-awon nato
Atong bulsa kon duna pa ba kitay mahatag
Kapugngan. Ihatag na nato ang atong
Lawas, ug dayon ang atong kalag.
Kasagaran buot nato nga magpabilin
Apan dili kini mahimo.

Inig Takdol Sa Bulan
alang sa mga balakeros y balakeras)
inig takdol na gani sa bulan
ayaw og katingala nga dunay manubo
sa kilid sa atong mga bukobuko
dili nato ikaulaw ang atong kaliwat
dili kita nila mabasol sa atong pagkapak-an
gisunod lang nato ang ilang mga panaw
dili nato ikaulaw ang atong pagkawakwak
anad na kita nianang pagtukaw
anad na kita kon kita unya isalikway

NATO believes it can pick on a small nation and force us to surrender our independence. And that is where NATO miscalculated. You are not willing to sacrifice lives to achieve our surrender. But we are willing to die to defend our rights as an independent sovereign nation.

Well, if the NATO countries don't make more of their troops usable and don't get the equipment to get them fast where the action is, then the organisation will suffer and will increasingly become irrelevant.

Agn Bikil Sa Atong Kinabuhi
mao nga kita mopiyong aron
magpadayag ang wala nato makita
sukad-sukad sa sulod
sa atong kasing-kasing
ug dayon ibuka nato
ang atong mga mata aron makita
pag-usab ang mga dayag
nga nakapabuta kanato
sa dugay na kaayong higayon
diha sa tunga sa kusog kaayo
nga sulog sa kahayag

Conflict Syria A Cut Of Pie
now Obama has been elected
waiting for possible planned
NATO invasion interaction
in conflict Syria
deals have been cut
die is pact cast?
sadly with negotiated
Russian deal back off
it looks like NATO is
about to play ball again
a few days or weeks weeks
after Obama reelection?
before estate invasion
green light is given?
just a matter of covert
or tracked
heavily by media?
interested
to see if Kurds
get a slice of Syria
pie or repeat cut
from invasion equation
again like post war Iraq?
Syrian Kurds receiving
military training
from their Iraqi brothers
but beware divide
and conquer is a proven
formula for interventions?
for preparation invasions
Syria's chemical weapons
stockpiles an ominous serious
issue who gets control play?

It took eight parades to say goodbye
It took eight parades to say goodbye
and there were fighters in the sky
and we wore battle clothes
and drove our armour
through the streets
and saluted every time,
that he stood with his hat
clenched to his chest.
We marched with a military band
and everyone had step outs on
and as we passed
the man in the dark suit,
rifles swung up high
to a generals salute
in order to say goodbye
to the commander in chief.
I remember him waiting with his arm
on his chest
and hat pressed there,
while we crossed the border
back from war
and there was something
on his face;
when I saluted
as the Ratel IFV drove past.

May seventeenth
Wergeland's statue on May seventeenth
Saw the procession. And as its rear-guard,
Slow marching masses,
Strong men, and women with flower-decked presence;
Come now the peasants, come now the peasants.
Österdal's forest's magnificent chieftain
Bore the old banner. Soon as we see it
Blood-red uplifted,
Greet it the thousands in thought of its story:
That is our glory, that is our glory!
Never that lion bore crown that was foreign,
Never that cloth was by Dannebrog cloven.
I saw the
future
,
When with that banner by Wergeland's column
Peasants stood solemn, peasants stood solemn.
Most of our loss in the times that have vanished,
Most of our victories, most of our longing,
Most that is vital:
Deeds of the past and the future's bold daring
Peasants are bearing, peasants are bearing.
Sorely they suffered for sins once committed,
But they arise now. Here in the Storting
Stalwart they prove it,
All, as they come from our land's every region,
Peasants Norwegian, peasants Norwegian.
Hold what they won, with a will to go farther;
Whole we must have independence and honor!
All of us know it:
Wergeland's summer bears soon its best flower,-
Power in peasants, peasants in power.

Ug karon ania kita dinhi.
Walay dapit nga kapaingnan, wala'y katarongan nga kita magpabilin.

Ressurection
Moist with one drop of Thy blood, my dry soul
Shall—though she now be in extreme degree
Too stony hard, and yet too fleshly—be
Freed by that drop, from being starved, hard or foul,
And life by this death abled shall control
Death, whom Thy death slew ; nor shall to me
Fear of first or last death bring misery,
If in thy life-book my name thou enroll.
Flesh in that long sleep is not putrified,
But made that there, of which, and for which it was ;
Nor can by other means be glorified.
May then sin's sleep and death soon from me pass,
That waked from both, I again risen may
Salute the last and everlasting day.
