Pitter-Patter
The sound of pitter-patter
Around the scintillating corona of a blazing bonfire
In the bleakness of a sun-parched terrain
On cracked veneers where jagged scripts are engraved
In the tongue of the earth, screeching towards the heavens
As the beats of the palms, on svelte drum heads
Even the reverberating echoes of a warrior persona
Calls forth a deluge from the heavens
As the soil awaits its call for a metamorphosis from within
For the seeds of the earth to leaven, to spiral
Towards a larger than life mural of a cascading Azure curtain
To embrace falling tears from the breaching heavens
To carry forth in their arms, the bed of civilization
A bequest of the gods, the seepage of celestial tear ducts
To spawn a grove of shoots, to engender a gathering of life forms
To divide and multiply in gay abandon,
Listening to the melodies of a different pitter-patter
One calling forth the genesis of life, to the bleakest of land
As the pulsating drum beats transform to a thanksgiving prayer
An oratorio resonating towards the heavens
To sash and bouquet the attentive gods for a heavenly intervention
The advent of a pluri-genic offspring, to mother Africa
For the liberation of her maternal instincts, her supple buxom breasts
To nurture the pitter-patter of her fledgling innocence

Rain On The Window
(hicks / clarke / nash)
When I hear pitter-patter the rain on the window
Reminds of her
When I hear pitter-patter the rain on the window
It was raining hard
The trees looked bare the night I met her
She was wet her hands were cold
The wind blew through her hair
Though Id known her quite a long time
We were just good friends
So it didnt seem so strange
Inviting her back home
We sat by the fire
The flames brought out something in her
Melting all the cold
Projecting warmth I never knew
As the rain beat on my window
Did she understand
That in the glow of dying embers
Everything was planned
Pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter
Pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter
Pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter
Pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter pitter-patter
We made love later on that night
While the rain beat on my window
I cant forget the things that happened
While the rain beat down on my window
Next time I saw her
I knew she didnt want to know me
If I disappointed her
I think she should have told me
Cant she understand
I only tried to be a man
She made me feel so ashamed
Of everything I am
When I hear pitter-patter
The rain on the window
Reminds of her

Pitter Patter
It looks like rain and its been comin on for hours
It looks like rain I hear the rumble of thunder showers
Pretty soon the rain will play its sweet refrain
While we listen from inside
And until it stops, well hear the drips and drops
From beside the fireside
So let it rain (pitter patter, pitter patter of the rain) (goin drip
Drop drip drop)
Yeah and well be happy when it stops (pitter patter, pitter patter of
The rain) (goin drip drop drip drop)
cause when it rains (pitter patter, pitter patter of the rain) (goin
Drip drop drip drop)
The ways of love rise in my heart (pitter patter, pitter patter of the
Rain) (goin drip drop drip drop)
We wont be sad when there is a storm (ooooo)
And we can be glad (ooooo)
cause we can keep warm, yeah, yeah
Listen to the rain
Pitter patter, pitter patter of the rain (goin drip drop drip drop)
Pitter patter, pitter patter, pitter patter (goin drip drop drip drop)
Pitter patter oooo
A rain swept plain
Soon after springtime rains blow over
Will sprout new grain
And miles of fresh green fields of clover
Winter and its cold soon will lose its hold
With the changes spring will bring
Sun comes pourin down warmin up the ground
Bringin new life with the spring
So let it rain (pitter patter, pitter patter of the rain) (goin drip
Drop drip drop)
Yeah and well be happy when it stops (pitter patter, pitter patter of

cause when it rains (pitter patter, pitter patter of the rain) (goin

And like the risin tides love is growin stronger (ooooo)

Rain Rain Rain
Rain Rain Rain,
Up above from the skies
Youu come,
As drops of joy
As drops of sorrow
As a shower of blessing from the heavens.
Rain Rain Rain,
Pitter patter pitter patter
on the window panes,
thunder and lightning fill up the skies
creating an orchestral symphony.
Rain Rain Rain,
With wind, sun and clouds,
seven colors you bring together
and joy in our hearts.
Rain Rain Rain
A miracle to a drought
A curse when in glut,
tiny silver crystals trickles from up above.

A Drop of Rain
Dropping from unforeseen heights
From within the resonating heart of a weeping Nimbus
As the cloud cover lazily distends
To plaster the limitless wall of a heavenly fortress
In its luscious coatings of an Azure complexion
As celestial tear ducts seep a valiant tear
Dropping from apical altitudes to the suspecting soil
Sun parched land veiling the secrets of the earth
As beneath the cracked veneers, a bed of seed await their turn
To pack the soil with die-hard stems of leafy chimneys
To save mankind from the guillotines of a sun-baked terrain
Germinating the hopes of the magicians of the soil, Midas's apostles
Sowing their seed with a wand of thought, firmly clasped in to their palms
As a luscious November awaits for a sprinkle from the heavens
The legacy of the seasonal Monsoon, a promise from the Gods
To cultivate hope even in the direst of landscapes
To burgeon the soil with tides of green, for a timely transformation in to golden grains,
As a single droplet of water from the rupturing skies
Metamorphosed arid despair to steadfast optimism
The promise of a fertile crescent logging with golden grains of Serendipity

Funeral Weather
Walking in the rain
Catching the raindrops
As we laughed in love
Was fun with you, gentle you
But now the dark clouds
Bringing storm and rain
Terrify me
Real funeral weather
As it is today
Pitter patter, pitter patter
The winds have howled and gone
Taking you along
I remember the day you went away
The sky cried tears
Day was dark as night
When the gods took you away
I was alone,
Alone, alone, alone
Crying in the rain
Funeral weather

Rain Falling......
Well, I'm listening to the pitter-patter of the rain
Alone in the middle of the night
My ol'heart begins to feel the pain
Of missing you with all my might
But your not here to share my love
So I'll just face this pain alone...
And listen to the rain falling from above
And face the fact that you are gone
Rain falling from above...
Rain falling for my love...
Rain falling from the skies...
And rain falling from my eyes.
So I'm listening to the pitter-patter of the rain
And listening to how sad it sounds
The rain's only an indication of my pain
And eternal loneliness I've found

Rascals Final Run
We're going to miss you
my friend
I'm so sorry your life has come to an end
The way you'd run to the kitty cabinet
especially, when I slammed it
The little love bites
on our fingers and ears
we now cry only sorrowful tears
yet held you in our hearts
for nearly fifteen years
we'll always remember that famous cry
the pitter patter of your feet
ours lives will only be complete
at heavens gate
we will surely meet

A Caramel Miracle
Gentlest of pitter-patter
Soft transient steps on immaculate floor tiles
Glistening eyes that master
The art of soft magnetized gazes
To any moving life form
Gooey stares of affection
Drooling with juvenile exuberance
In the veneers of a pristine near-nakedness
A caramel Eros with no bow and arrow in sight
Just the pumping fists of a placid fury, a mellow restlessness,
As Aeolus's lip-lock brushes his naked clay
Coats of stroma awaiting springtime,
To spring forth a progeny of fuzzy follicles
Locks that crown his apical globe,
Sprinkled with fledgling wits, cocooned in to a spherical fortress
As he speaks the language of love
A vernacular that spans a boundless continuum
From fecundity to zygotic evolution
To the virgin light that softly settles on the retina
As the eye lids unveil God's miracle
Mother earth; with her supple breasts, awaiting their turn;
For a forward metamorphosis of a fledgling life form
A baby sent forth by God's intervention
Masterminded by two consenting adults
As two worlds collided in the name of an apical love
To spawn a caramel miracle, a trove wrapped in summer cotton.

The Migrant Heart
The hold of the deep-rooted heart
Imprints laid on the impressionable soil
Toil shed on perforated veneers, sun-baked terrain
Fusing to the die-hard ethos of the land
Cultivating seeds of destiny, harvesting grains of serendipity
Yet the seasonal winds rampant, the birth of change inevitable
The call of an opportune cupidity trading the unsuspecting heart
To trade winds of migration, blown to unfamiliar frontiers
As vessels are docked, cultures are exchanged
Anchors are declined, new beginnings are unveiled
Journey of the heart to the potpourri of pluri-culturism
To the divine truth of homogeneity, the bounty of a universal being
Sons and daughters of the same mother, her supremeness, the ubiquitous Gaia
Pilgrims of the same sun, a sultry yellow dwarf
Nomads of the same azure curtain, a boundless blue giant
Yet scathing and bleeding is the alienated heart
As scarecrows are forgone for the snow men of winter
No longer holding the hand out for the pitter-patter of the monsoons
As snow befalls to the chilliness of a winter's alienation
As the heart searches for the bygone times
To the blood, the toil, the tears, the semen of one's legacy
To the miraculous symbiosis of man and soil

When Sunny Gets Blue
WHEN SUNNY GETS BLUE
When Sunny gets blue, her eyes get gray and cloudy,
Then the rain begins to fall, pitter-patter, pitter-patter,
Love is gone, what can matter,
No sweet lover man comes to call.
When Sunny gets blue, she breaths a sigh of sadness,
Like the wind that stirs the trees,
Wind that sets the leaves to swaying
Like some violin is playing strange and haunting melodies.
Bridge:
*People used to love to hear her laugh, see her smile,
That's how she got her name.
Since that sad affair, she lost her smile, changed her style,
Somehow she's not the same.
When Sunny gets blue, pretty dreams will rise up
Where her other dreams fell through,
Hurry new love, hurry here, to kiss away each lonely tear,
And hold her near when Sunny gets blue.
(Instrumental interlude and pick up at Bridge*.)

Sweet Rain
Pitter-patter-pane
Here we go once again
With the sound of rain
On my window pane
First it bulges out with a drizzle
I frizzle in bed waiting for the rain to fizzle
The raindrops fight as they sizzle
Why the sizzle is relaxing remains to me a puzzle
Whilst it pours down heavy
Imposing on the roads a levy
Thunder, chaos and lighting
Is the rattling usual sighting
I hear the people complain
About the sound of sweet rain
But we need you to maintain
The forests, the green and the mountain plains
O! sweet rain! O! sweet rain!
Pitter-patter-pane
Let us do it once again
Just don't delay my speeding train

The Heart Within
the sound of the heart
does it go thump, thump, or pitter patter?
i guess it really does'nt matter.
for a broken or crying heart
can not be heard beating in your chest
it tries to hide everything
to its very best.
it does not want the world to see
' its vulnerbility '.
but when you look into that persons eyes
you know that it does not tell a lie.
the pain is etched on their face, and the emotions
in the movement of their body
they know they can not hide it.
and as GOD will have it be
love sets the soul free.
so when you have a broken or crying heart
then it's time that you part.
part from the things that got you
to this point
and start your life anew
and forget the pain and solitude.
love is the key to all of life
it frees you from daily struggles and strife.
look at the moon beams covering this earth
showing the beauties and all its worth.
now picture the man who gave all
this to you.
HE had an aura, a glow around his frame
and HE held his heart, outside his chest
this heart beating without rest.
the heart was seperate from him
relieving us of the pains and sins.
so if the sound is thump, thump or pitter patter
it does'nt really matter.
HE gave his heart to you
just so you'll know what to do.

The Call of Africa (Ethiopia in the 80s)
In this direst of landscapes
Where rib cages impart photogenic smiles
Where visible skull bones outnumber curly locks
Where the vengeful Ra and the boundless Amun
Collaborate to evaporate life from this bleakest of land
As the gravity of footmarks etch journeys
On the jagged clay soil masking voracious graveyards
As maidens with pots on their temples
Scavenge the sweat of the earth to taste the wines of the land
Where goats graze in groups and militants raze in troupes
Where Injera bread is broken by bones varnished with flesh
Where there are no banquets nor feasts but sacrifices to the gods
As human flesh is feasted by famine and disease
A dismal civilization where mosquito bites ooze with pus
As flies outnumber the gravel of the earth
Yet, hope floats like a feather of a dove soaring to the heavens
For a Celtic intervention, that the white man with their deep pockets
Will metamorphose graveyards to granaries
That the call of Africa will reverberate to the consciences of man
For a crusade of the heart, a journey down the Nile
To sustain a future, for the innocence of Africa

The Storm Within
Lightening attacks mother earth with a silent rage,
The night time clouds glow amidst natures turmoil,
Distant rumblings echo within the mind,
The silent pitter patter of the rain drenching my soul,
Steady streams of life giving liquid falling from heaven,
Cascading freely across my brow and down my cheeks,
Mixing with the salty tears that spill from my eyes,
Silencing the storm that rages deep within me...
Spread the love... The peace will follow...

Christmas Tiny Feet
don't you hear that beat of little tiny feet
tiny feet running across the floor
tiny feet at your door
to hear the pitter patter of those feet on christmas morn
and the twinkle in their eyes
seeing that expression of surprise
as they open up all their gifts that they put on their christmas list
this is one of the few things that make all the heartaches worth while
when you see their beautiful smile.
christmas is a day to rejoice the birth of our king
who has given us all these things.
so as we share this day with our children
let us remember who gave us this day
and thank him in every way.
rejoice in the birth of our new born king
for he is everything.
he has given us the pitter patter of tiny feet
and has made our lives complete.

Raindrops...
Raindrops fall from above cleansing our canvas of existance,
The landscape of creation is nourished by these watery jewels,
I am entranced by the melodious pitter patter of these life giving gifts,
The eternal tune of life beats out its rythm upon fertile ground,
I watch as the rain falls in a seemingly chaotic confusion,
I follow each dropp to it's ulimate destination,
Then I realise each dropp has fallen just where it should,
Raindrops fall harshly to earth shattering into unnoticeable specs,
Once again nature has painted for us the flawless portrait of life...
Spread the love... The peace will folow...

Dont Be That Way
[ella]
April skies are in your eyes
But darling, dont be blue
Dont cry,
Oh honey please
Dont be that way
Clouds in the sky
Should never make you feel that way
The rain
Will bring the violets of may
Tears are in vain so honey please dont be that way
As long as we
See it through
Youll have me
Ill have you
Sweetheart
Tomorrow is another day
Dont break my heart
Oh honey, please dont be that way
