Unquenched

(a re-post)

i stretch my
parched tongue
each time
it rains dropp
after dropp

the body catches
all the rain
and the perfume
drapes the body
behind its veil…

the crystalline drops
whisper sweet nothings
into the invisible heart
but leave the
tongue parched…
