I feel my job as an actor is to explore all sides of humanity.

It's the people and the cause that matter and right now there's an important need, which is bridge-building. I wanted to support the cause of humanity, because that's what I always sang about. Music can be healing, and with my history and my knowledge of both sides of what looks like a gigantic divide in the world, I feel I can point a way forward to our common humanity again. It's a big step for me but it's a natural step. I don't feel at all irked by the responsibility — I feel inspired.

Behind the Scenes
The actor struts his little hour,
Between the limelight and the band;
The public feel the actor's power,
Yet nothing do they understand
Of all the touches here and there
That make or mar the actor's part,
They never see, beneath the glare,
The artist striving after art.
To them it seems a labour slight
Where nought of study intervenes;
You see it in another light
When once you've been behind the scenes.
For though the actor at his best
Is, like a poet, born not made,
He still must study with a zest
And practise hard to learn his trade.
So, whether on the actor's form
The stately robes of Hamlet sit,
Or as Macbeth he rave and storm,
Or plays burlesque to please the pit,
'Tis each and all a work of art,
That constant care and practice means --
The actor who creates a part
Has done his work behind the scenes.

An actor is an actor is an actor. The less personality an actor has off stage the better. A blank canvas on which to draw the characters he plays.

What is It That We Experience
When we die, change form, all of our life makes sense to us this grand lucidity, we experience a welcome clarity of our life, deep waters of feelings, heights, vistas of beings, opening, judgment day is the shared encounter with all of humanity, where we experience our life with all other self encounters with creation, with humanity.
Sides of us, our erotic side, our heroic side, our sophisticated side, our nurturing side, our warrior side, all sides of us blend, synthesize with others, we are and we let go, we ripen.
Alive, being, it is a beginning,
An appreciation, being for all time, in peace, joy, wonder, bliss,
We make an inner promise, we have a perception, we extend out and into once more, and there we are once more.

Actor Of Love
Hold on
I have found something I longing for
To fill the hollowness of my heart
But why I'm feeling more of sorrow
Before
I am the one who said: 'Oh, I'll control'
But now I realize you are my world
And it's waiting to break apart
I'm an actor of love
I'm trying to perfect
But I'm just fooling around
I'm an actor of love
I want to be your hero
But I've made myself a clown
I'm an actor of love
I need you by my side
But now you leave me alone
I'm an actor of love
I beg your forgiveness
But you refuse me so cold
Sometimes
We wonder why we should be together
Do we really dream of love forever?
Or we afraid to be alone
I'm an actor of love
I want to protect you
But I always hurt you bad
I'm an actor of love
I want to be your shield
But may turn someone you hate
I'm an actor of love
We kiss in the morning
But in night we have a war
I'm an actor of love
We care for each other
But we only circle round
If this love only makes me crazy
Take the story and just let it be
Tragedy or comedy
Or anything it wants to be

Every actor will tell you it's so much more fun to play the bad guy because usually those characters are more complex and more broad and more interesting, and have more sides to them.

You have to draw on different sides of yourself. So I think if people watch a lot of any actor's work, they can sort of get to know them.

I'm foremost an actor. I feel embarrassed being compared to the guys who really work at it. I fake it, I make believe I know all about it, which is what you're supposed to do as an actor.

Big Tall Man
Im a big, tall man
I cut the grass
My left eye hurts
I am waiting and reading parts
I can be a complicated communicator
Yes, Im winning, spinning
I feel energy being pulled off from all sides
And it feels good
Like relieving a headache
Zeus and athens
Florida driveway
Asphalt and tires
Sand and the beach
Rocker panel
Headlights in the dark
I am drag racing
Drag
Yes, Im winning, spinning
I feel energy being pulled off from all sides
And it feels good
Like relieving a headache
Yes, Im winning, spinning
I feel energy being pulled off from all sides
And it feels good
Like relieving a headache
Fog and the distance beyond it
Boats and the quiet morning noises
Im walking the shoreline
A beer and a cigarette
A bug with twitching antennae
A button-up short sleeved shirt
Yes, Im winning, spinning
I feel energy being pulled off from all sides
And it feels good
Like relieving a headache
Im a big, tall man
I cut the grass
My left eye hurts
I can be a complicated communicator
Yes, Im winning, spinning
I feel energy being pulled off from all sides
And it feels good
Like relieving a headache
Yes, Im winning, spinning
I feel energy being pulled off from all sides
And it feels good
Like relieving a headache
Yes, Im careening down / yes, Im winning, spinning
I feel energy being pulled off from all sides
And it feels good
Like relieving a headache

A lot of directors are great and they are fine but you know I think that Harry really takes a special point to really engage the actors and really make it feel like a safe place for them to explore whatever it is they want to explore in whatever scene with their character.

Her courtesy
She wakes up every morning,
Straight to the help of humanity,
A philanthropist i label,
She has passion for mankind,
Mount Isa she resides
The weather so unbearable,
Yet she works all day,
The media follows her always,
She has priceless purity
Mount Isa she resides
I wish to see the mountains,
Explore the mines with her,
Feel the heat together,
The blazing sun so bright,
Mount Isa here i come

If It Had Not Been For Chemistry
I have never been here before.
To explore such views,
With anyone quite like you...
Full adventure and unafraid to explore.
Never before have I felt the student,
To allow myself to be taught...
By someone who brings,
A different insight to things.
If you had gone on another path,
I would have sat unchallenged.
And taken too much time,
To eventually let doubt have its way.
I can say today,
I am happy you found me sitting.
And owe meeting you to patience,
Somehow you knew for you it stayed.
I have never been here before.
To explore such views,
With anyone quite like you...
Full adventure and unafraid to explore.
'If it had not been for chemistry,
You and I would have only been here to see...
Just another someone else to forget and ignore,
As we continued on our separate journeys.'

Coin’s two sides
A lot were dead from tidal waves.
Almost all were fishermen.
A grief to the humanity;
A relief to fish community.
Two sides of the coin.
