What is It That We Experience
When we die, change form, all of our life makes sense to us this grand lucidity, we experience a welcome clarity of our life, deep waters of feelings, heights, vistas of beings, opening, judgment day is the shared encounter with all of humanity, where we experience our life with all other self encounters with creation, with humanity.
Sides of us, our erotic side, our heroic side, our sophisticated side, our nurturing side, our warrior side, all sides of us blend, synthesize with others, we are and we let go, we ripen.
Alive, being, it is a beginning,
An appreciation, being for all time, in peace, joy, wonder, bliss,
We make an inner promise, we have a perception, we extend out and into once more, and there we are once more.

On His Father's Side
On his mother’s side
Born in Bethlehem
On his Father’s side
No one before him
On his mother’s side
Growing and learning
On his Father’s side
All knowledge showing
On his mother’s side
Stuck in one location
On his Father’s side
Present in every nation
On his mother’s side
He was hungry
On his Father’s side
The multitudes he did feed
On his mother’s side
At Calvary he died
On his Father’s side
He was the essence of life
On his mother’s side
Buried like other men
On his Father’s side
He rose again
On his mother’s side
Human and weak
On his Father’s side
The God of eternity.

So Alive
Today I watched the boats
Moving through the harbor
Walking on water
In your arms I'd stay
Forever if I could
Fireer if I may
Keeps me in your thoughts, don't disappear
I am on your side
And so alive
So alive it isn't real
If this is how I feel
Then nothing now is true
And nothing now can ever be taken away from you
Sinking in the past
The things that shouldn't last
Just put to bed and stand beside me
Stand beside me
Always on your side
I'm on your side
And so alive it isn't real
I am on your side
And so alive
And so alive
And so alive
I am on your side
I am on your side
I am on your side
And so alive
So alive

Two Sides
Well, theres two sides, to every situation
Yes, theres two sides, two interpretations
A laugh is a cry, hello means goodbye
Youre sayin something baby, I dont wanna buy
Well, theres two sides to every creation
You and me babe, were no revelation
Well, theres darkness in our light, and theres wrong in our right
Theres sorry babe, Im workin late tonight
Well, theres two sides, theres another side of me
Theres the one you think you live with, the one you never see
Its never really lived, but its never really died
Its never really made it but its tried
Well, theres two sides to every conversation
But with you babe, thats no consolation
Silence is golden, let me put you on hold
Danglin on your love line, baby, its growin old
Well, I dont know how to say it
Cause I never thought I could
God know Ive tried so many times
But theres two sides, theres another side of me
Theres the one you think you live with, the one you never see
Its never really lived, but its never really died
Its never really made it, but its tried
To every creation
Were no revelation
One sees the wrong, and one sees the right
The other side of me just caught a flight
Goodbye

The Other Side Of Life
(david gates)
So, as you go to find yourself
Dont look too hard
You may pass yourself by
Reaching too high
Wanting the other side of life
And as you go to take your place
Dont go too fast
Just pretend theres no end
Make yourself last
til the other side of life
One day youll find your restless
Searching at an end
Youll think the world has changed
But its just you my friend
So, as you go to please your heart
Please take your time
Someones waiting there too
Waiting for you
On the other side of life
Hes waiting for you
On the other side of life, ooh, ooh, ahh, ooh
Hes waiting for you
On the other side of life
Hes waiting for you
On the other side of life

The Dark Secrets of Politicians
The politician said
'I love my job
chaos and parties political
are my life blood.
I squeeze dollars from the law
by threatening one side
with my new law
and get them to pay to dropp it
and then I go to the other side
and get them to pay me
to pass
it through.
Having now
money from both sides
I sanctimoniously
declare
that each side must learn to compromise.
Then I pass a meaningless law
which each side then pays
me to repeal;
I say I will need more
money for my re-election bid
and then whichever side gets
the most petition votes
will win.
I love my job.
I get all the money
and the citizens
get nothing.
That's good politicking.

Just Another Night
(ian hunter/mick ronson)
Oh no, the fuzz, all in a line
My oh my, I think Im gonna die
And its just another night
Its just another night
Got a long black face; who goes there?
All the reefer madnessput a poor kid in jail
And its just another night
Yeah, its just another night
Oh take it easy boy or its doa
Chrome on my body and a lot of folks say
That its just another night
Hey, its just another night
Oh, its just another night on the other side of life
Head ones a saw-bones and he wrecked my chair
Said howd you like to do it in a room downstairs
And its just another night
Oh, just another night
Hey now, papa joe, dont you pull my hair
All this intrigue, it gets me out of my league
And its just another night
Its just another night
His old man spent a fortune just to get him in
But baby boy growed up just as stupid as him
And its just another night
Its just another night
Its just another night on the other side of life
Just another night, hung down slow
I dont like the hotel let me go
Hells bells! give me a chance!
This rock n roller dont wanna dance
Just another night
Just another night
Well, its just another night on the other side of life
I never felt so bad; wheres my shades?
Its gonna be a long one getting crazed
A head spoutin noodles said, what do you plead?
I said you aint got to touch a man to make a man bleed
n its just another night (on the other side)
Its just another night (on the other side)
Its just another night (on the other side)
Its just another night (on the other side)
Its just another night (on the other side)
Its just another night (on the other side)
Its just another night (on the other side)
Its just another night (on the other side)
Its just another night (on the other side)
Its just another night (on the other side)
Its just another night (on the other side)
Its just another night (on the other side)
Its just another night (on the other side)

Wrong Side Of Love
She said that shes got something else on her mind
Im spending my money, but Im wasting time
It looks to me like the end of the line
Well, she plays both sides and shes making me choose
Its heads, she wins, and tails I lose
Each time I call, its another excuse
I thought I was finally doin everything right
Now it looks like Im the one left lonely tonight
I picked the wrong side of love
And I wound up on the losin end
The wrong side of love
Now Im starting all over again
She makes me feel like Im out of control
She comes on hot but she turns ice cold
Her light says stop when Im ready to go
She set me up, now shes puttin me down
Sometimes I feel like a face in the crowd
One day Im in, the next day Im out
I picked the wrong side of love
Right place, wrong time
The wrong side of love
Well honey, point me in the right direction
I picked the wrong side of love
Is there a bad side to love?
I picked the wrong side of love
The wrong side of love
I picked the wrong side of love

Whatever Happened To Pong?
My brother and me used to play it
Down at the bar
Taking money from guys
More used to the playing of cards
Paddle the paddle to the side to the side
To the side to the side to the paddle the paddle
Paddle the paddle the side to the side
Pong
Ball in the machine
Now virtually everyones singing
A popular song
But I still believe in
In the excellent joy of the pong
To the side to the side to the paddle the paddle
To the paddle the paddle the side to the side
To the side to the side to the paddle the paddle
Pong
Ball in the machine
Now if they take it h.g. wells
Well, Ill be on the first flight
To a time before the kong
Whatever happended to pong?
Paddle the paddle to the side to the side
To the side to the side to the paddle the paddle
Paddle the paddle the side to the side
Pong
Ball in the machine

Using Up Some Valuable Time
It may be true.
There is two sides to a coin.
You don't understand...
I'm not asking you to flip it over.
I don't want to see the other side of it.
I have no interest.
What I've seen is enough.
And anything on the other side of that...
Needs to leave this one sided.
And I leave not curious at all.
When I expect someone to be upfront with me...
I only want to see one side.
The honest side!
All this 'two-sides-to-every-story' nonsense...
May work in Hollywood, Disneyland
Or any shopping mall!
However...
While you were collecting from me,
My benefits of doubt?
You were using up some valuable time!
Not mine!
Yours.
'Who' led you to believe,
I was that stupid?
Because I was 'there' for you...
Did not mean I was there to be used,
By you or played!
And that story you've been telling,
Needed new chapters added a long time ago.
I'm just speeding up the ending for the both of us.
I've decided I did not want to see repeated episodes,
This season.
Nor am I going to feel nostalgic,
Reviewing them with you either!

Side By Side
Maurice white, wayne vaughn & wanda vaughn
One year ago, love was touch and go
Time made me see, solved the mystery
Taught me that love and time
Will change your mind and make it right
Bring your darkness to the light
My hearts sings in the night
My love I bring to you
With this lovin I dedicate to you
For believing in me, I will make you mine
Side by side, for love we waited
Side by side, were dedicated
Side by side, now we can make it
Side by side, we gonna shake it on down
Get down, get down , get down, get down,
Tonight
I can hardly wait, to pick you up at eight
For this rendezvous, candlelight and you
It took ma a long time, to see it clear
That love will last, for many years
Dreams can come true
So I bring my heart to you
With this lovin I dedicate to you
For believing in me, I will make you mine
Side by side, for love we waited
Side by side, were dedicated
Side by side, now we can make it
Side by side, we gonna shake it on down
Get down, get down , get down, get down,
Tonight
We finally found our sunny day
And your love lights up the way
So, I thank you today, for
You believed in me

Passenger Side
Hey, wake up, your eyes weren't open wide
For the last couple of miles you've been swerving from side to side
You're gonna make me spill my beer,
If you don't learn how to steer
Passenger side, passenger side,
I don't like riding on the passenger side
Roll another number for the road
You're the only sober person I know
Won't you let me make you a deal,
Just get behind the wheel
Passenger side, passenger side,
I don't like riding on the passenger side
Should've been the driver, could've been the one
I should've been your lover, but I hadn't seen...
Can you take me to the store, then the bank?
I've got five dollars we can put in the tank
I've got a court date coming this June
I'll be driving soon
Passenger side, passenger side,
I don't like riding on the passenger side
I don't like riding on the passenger side

Freaks On This Side
Freaks on this side, the freaks on this side {x8}
When u cant find the reason 4 the smoke
Theres probably water in the fire
When everything u know aint enough 2 float your boat
And ure lookin 4 somethin thatll take u higher
Chorus:
U got 2 get down (freaks on this side, the freaks on this side)
2 a brand new sound (freaks on this side, the freaks on this side)
In the water ull drown (freaks on this side, the freaks on this
Side)
But the lost is found (freaks on this side, the freaks on this side)
Come on, baby
When confusion tries 2 tear your world apart
And the demons fight 4 power
Thats the time u got 2 listen 2 your heart
No one knows the final hour
Chorus
When u see an illusion everywhere u look
When u know the process of creation
When u understand everything in every book
Congratulations - ure in the new power generation!
(freaks on this side, the freaks on this side) {x4}
The freaks on this side! {x3}
When everybody calls the truth by a different name
And the indifference between us still remains
God is love, love is God - simple and plain
Party in this way, theres so much more 2 gain
(freaks on this side, the freaks on this side) {repeat 2 end}
(get on down, down, down, down, down)
Freaks on this side
We drownin (get on down, down, down, down, down)
Yeah, yeah
U got 2 get down
(u got 2 get down) {x2}
Its new power generation
And ure groovin 2 another jam of the year
Think it aint when it is
And we be drownin
Glug, glug like a mug
Looka here - freak on this side
The freaks on this side
Looka here - on this side
On this side
The freaks on u got it on this side

Give Me Just One Night
If you're tellin' me you want me
Hold me close all through the night
I know deep inside you need me
No one else can make it right
Don't you try to hide the secrets
I can see it ifn your eyes
You said the words without speaking
And i'm gonna make you mine
Chorus:
Give me just one night, una noche
A moment to be by your side
Give me just one night, una noche
I'll give you the time of your life
The time of your life
Oh
Give you the time of your life
Oh baby yeah
Love and passion make me crazy
Your existence makes me wild
Wanna loosen up your feelings
To see what's hiding inside
Chorus
The time of your life
Oh oh yeah
Oh baby
Ay, que rico
Oh, how good
Me pone loca
You make me crazy
Como te mueve
How you move
Como me toca
How you touch me
Tu movimiento
Your movement
Tu sentimiento
Your feeling
Si, yo te quiero
Yes, i love you
Te doy la noche
I'll give you the night
Toda la noche
All night long
Ay, vamos
Let's go
Give me just one night, just one night baby
A moment to be by your side
Give me just one night, just one night oh baby
I'll give you the time of your life
(give you the time of your life)
Give me just one night
Give me just one night, una noche
A moment to be by your side
(a moment to be by your side)
Give me just one night, una noche, oh yeah
I'll give you the time of your life
Give me just one night, una noche
A moment to be by your side
(a moment to be by your side)
Give me just one night, una noche
I'll give you the time of your life
(give you the time of your life)
The time of your life
Oh yeah

Deeper Side
Ive found a reason to dig deep down.
Theres a part of you that I aint found thats in your deeper side.
Instead of wondering what I should do,
I tried to learn a couple things about you from your deeper side.
Show me your deeper side. (show me your deeper side)
Show me your deeper side. (show me your deeper side)
Show me your deeper side. (its a mystery)
That I would give most anything to see.
Theres a lot of things that I would know
If you would let me climb into your soul and see your deeper side.
Everybody always seems so pure,
Then they show you what their heart stands for in their deeper side.
Show me your, yeah. (show me your deeper side)
Show me your deeper side. (show me your deeper side)
Show me your deeper side. (its a mystery)
I would give most anything to see.
You think the world has got your number now.
You cry about it but you know somehow its your deeper side.
I heard you wishing you were someone else
But all thats stopping you from being yourself is your deeper side.
So, show me your deeper side. (show me your deeper side)
Please, show me your deeper side. (show me your deeper side)
Oh, show me your deeper side. (its a mystery)
I would give most anything, and, I would give most anything.
You would give most anything to see.
Show me your deeper side.

Two Sides To Every Story
There are two sides to every story
Not just the side of them or theirs,
So never judge or hold a grudge
And when you listen, please listen with care.
Listen to one side and then always the other
Not just one side and then walk away
If you pick that route, sad you'll turn out
And never will you ever feel or be the same.
You will hate yourself as truth be told
If you listen to only one side of the story
You'll live in disgrace, when you see your face
And never will you fill satisfaction or joy.
As time will come, and of course time will tell
Someday the truth it will all come out
And when it you do hear, will you shed a tear
As you found out you took the wrong route.
There is two sides to every story
Not just the side that you want to hear
And not from their soul, that you do not know
And not from someone who will cry you a tear.
When you listen, please listen well
No matter if they be friend or foe
Look into their eyes, then you might realize
And then the truth might just be known.
To condemn someone is such a terrible act
Which you must live with the rest of your life
You will live in shame, for someone you falsely blamed
And always you will question yourself why.
A pretty face or a sad sad story
Guilt either begins or ends with that line
As a pretty face, it can mask lies or hate
Then the truth through deception is left behind.
There are two sides to every story
I must preach that statement once again
Listen to both sides, then the judgment you can decide
And happy you will be in the end
As you cannot judge a book by it's cover
No matter what you might hear or what might be said
As so many will lie, so that to get pity on their side
While untruth and deception they will had led.
A saddened face is just a saddened story
There is more to the truth to one persons story
Don't falsely judge, if so even GOD will hold a grudge
Then far away you will be from his glory.
When you listen to a story listen with your soul
Never be afraid to ask a question or even ask why
And always seek the truth, as you would seek out good fruit
And remember to every story there is always another side.

There were two sides to David Lean: on the one side, he was kind of a rather stiff, disciplined Englishman. And then he had this kind of romantic side to him. I think being true to both sides of your nature is important.

Side By Side
We walked for awhile together
side by side
We talked for awhile together
we sometimes cried
Our souls became one
with the Universe and stars
The roads up ahead seemed bright from afar
When we walked for awhile together
side by side
We shared our secrets and all our dreams
We shared our hopes our plans and schemes
Yes, we talked for awhile together
but did we try?
Then we tripped somewhere along the way
How could two lovers have gone so astray?
When we walked for awhile together

Dulcimer Stomp/The Other Side
come on
lovin' you has got to be
(take me to the other side)
like the devil and the deep blue sea
(take me to the other side)
forget about your foolish pride
(take me to the other side)
oh take me to the other side
(take me to the other side)
my mama told me there'd be days like this
and man she wasn't foolin'
'cause I just can't believe the way you kiss
uh huh
you opened up your mouth with baited breath
you said you'd never leave me
you love me, you hate me, I tried to take the loss
you're cryin' me a river but I got to get across
lovin' you has got to be
(take me to the other side)
like the devil and the deep blue sea
(take me to the other side)
forget about your foolish pride
(take me to the other side)
oh take me to the other side
(take me to the other side)
I'm lookin' for another kind of love
oh lordy how I need it
the kind that likes to leap without a shove
oh honey, best believe it
to save a lot of time and foolish pride
I'll say what's on my mind, girl
you loved me, you hate me, you cut me down to size
you blinded me with love and yeah it opened up my eyes
lovin' you has got to be
(take me to the other side)
like the devil and the deep blue sea
(take me to the other side)
my conscience got to be my guide
(take me to the other side)
oh honey take me, take take take take take ow
take me to the other side
I'm lookin' for another kind of love
oh lordy how I need it
the kind that likes to leap without a shove
honey, you best believe it
now I ain't one for sayin' long goodbyes
I hope all is forgiven
you loved me, you hate me, I used to be your lover
you know you had it comin' girl so take me to the other side
take me to the other side
take me to the other side
lovin' you has got to be

Promise
A change of mind has moved around
Takes me back to when we met
Forever moved a promise kept
This all implies I dont believe how this would be for
To be with you
Watching your eyes
I can see it in your eyes
Away go away
To be by your side
I travel all night
Away go away
Concept conceived to let me down
And when you leave I can never make my mind up
Were on the move removed too far
Your way of life
Its only me Im not deceived at all
To be with you
Watching your eyes
I can see it in your eyes
Away go away
To be by your side
I travel all night
Away go away
So far from me to be the same
Ill try again Im here alone
I shant forget I feel this way
And all the time you can dance until we meet again
To be with you
Watching your eyes
I can see it in your eyes
Away go away
To be by your side
I travel all night
Away go away
To be by your side
I travel all night
Away go away
To be by your side
I travel all night

Green
Sometime ago we broke up for no reason I know
Why do I have this feeling youre still in control
Im confused like Im used to whenever Im in trouble again
But this time I have to grow up and learn to decide
The grass is greener on your side
It was always greener on your side
It will always be greener on your side
Im way too nervous to be patient right now
Why do I have this feeling Im not in control
The price that I pay for in my almost obsessive devotion you see
Is much higher than I would ever expect it to be
The grass is greener on your side
It was always greener on your side
It will always be greener on your side
It will always be greener on your side x5
The grass is greener on your side
It was always greener on your side
It will always be greener on your side
