Our Lens, Our Friends
From times gone by, each human eye
Has dimmed its daylight gaze,
Thus extra reason we could cry
At what would once amaze...
Beneath our eyebrows gently curled,
Eyes grant us dignity,
To see all things like scrolls unfurled,
Both eyes in harmony...
As time goes by, sight goes awry,
The focus not as clear
And yet no matter how we try,
Things aren't as they appear...
Such sights no longer quite complete,
Though God's light's still supplied,
The food we eat looks not so sweet,
It's somewhat mistified...
As time moves on, Man's learnt the truth
Of optic sciences,
Such that we've found the living proof
That eyes see less and less...
To see one's hands as outstretched blurs
Takes confidence away,
Not knowing how to cope then spurs
The active mind to pray...
As time has shown, Man's prone to moan
When God won't heal us all,
Such that we sometimes feel alone,
Now humbled, feeling small...
Yet eyesight tests have helped us cope
Through brand new spectacles,
To grant new focus and new hope
Like magic miracles...
As time from birth to death is worth
Much more as we grow old,
We cherish life upon this Earth,
Esteeming it like gold...
Our lens, our friends... Reflect on this...
Each lens is customised,
Such that we feel a sense of bliss
That's rarely realised...
With sight renewed, find gratitude
That you can read this verse,
I pray that God will bless your mood
As each new day occurs...
God made the Sun, God made the Moon,
God made the stars that shine,
God made each blessing and each boon,
God made your eyes and mine...

God made your lips for me to kiss. Your hands for me to hold.
God made your smile for me to miss and treasure more than gold.
God made your ears so I could tell how beautiful you are.
God made your eyes to cast a spell, no matter, near or far.
God made your arms to hold me tight each time before I leave.
God made your legs to stir delight like Adam saw in Eve.
God made your doubts to fade away, for years have come and gone.
God made your joys thank Him each day our love goes on and on.
God made your heart a lot like mine - hold fast to what God says.
God made you my sweet Valentine, you're always in my prayers.

You Made Me Feel So Beautiful
Your kiss, your embrace, the way you touched me
I still shiver with delight
You made me feel so beautiful
The way your eyes held me
A rare feeling, when reality was more beautiful than dreams
You made me feel so beautiful
Your soft caress
Like you're touching the wings of a butterfly
You made me feel so beautiful
You gave yourself to me
And ignited my fire
You made me feel so beautiful
We laughed and kissed, discovering we liked the same things
Its rare to find a kindred spirit, in life’s rushed living
You made me feel so beautiful
I wish we could just lock ourselves away
On a seashore, with no such thing as time
And explore the world between us
You made me feel so beautiful

Much That I Remember About You
I remember you
I remember the first time I saw you
Looking up and there you were, an angel on earth
It occurred when I didn’t expect it, wasn’t looking
Seeing you and thinking that you were pretty
Seeing you and wondering why, afterwards, I
Remember you more now
I remember your voice
I remember the first time I heard and it enchanted me
Dulcet tones playing hypnotic music disguised as a woman’s voice
It happened in conversation, in the harmony of all you spoke
Hearing the coy happiness in the words we shared
Hearing the smile in your tone so that I
Remember your voice now
I remember your eyes
I remember the first time I became lost in them
How it was a time when our eyes met in more than just a glance
It happened in a moment, together with you
Seeing in your eyes more than just a casual interest
Seeing in your eyes myself and us which is why I
Remember your eyes now
I remember your skin
I remember the first time I felt the touch of your skin
When your fingertips brushed mine in flirting invitation
It flashed in a moment, skin to skin
Feeling the electricity of your touch, your skin against mine
Feeling the heat passing between us as I
Remember the feel of your skin now
I remember how you made me feel
I remember the first time I admitted to myself
What I felt for you was more than just friendship
It came in a moment, talking with you
Realizing that every thought of you made me smile
Realizing that each smile made me
Remember even more how you made me feel
I remember why I fell for you
I remember this all the time now
The memory comes in thoughts, your voice, your eyes
It happens in every moment these days, loving you
Knowing that what happened between us is a good beginning
Knowing that we could be much more always helps me
Remember constantly why I fell in love with you

Until They Research What They Hear
It doesn't matter to me,
What you now know...
And what you found out.
Am I to be impressed,
By your acknowledgement?
And the way you'd like that addressed?
Or the fact that your discovery,
Exposes your absence of respect...
We both know was never shown to me.
Are you expecting 'me' to change?
I am always going to think of you,
The way I've been thinking of you.
'How is that? '
Less!
Someone I've already identified,
As a pest to the human race.
But don't worry about it.
I keep things like that to myself.
That's why I am quite surprised,
That you would know anything about me at all.
Since the rumors I heard,
Had me quite appalled.
And the things you said I did with my mother?
Were never done.
Afterall...
Those comments you made about me,
And with others who were convinced they were true?
I've known of them myself for many years.
And I would never have an appreciation for you.
My sights are not on lowlife.
Well...
Congratulations on your discovery.
I hope we were able to share something...
That opened both of our eyes!
'There is nothing like hearing the truth,
Is there? '
Nothing like it.
But some folks don't realize that...
Until they research what they hear!
And then it takes time,
To put two and two together.
Doesn't it?
Enjoy your day!
Since you have no idea,
How much you have made mine.
And I thank you for that!

(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Man
Looking out on the morning rain
I used to feel so uninspired
But when I knew I had to face another long, long day
girl I used to feel so tired
Before the day I met you
life had been so unkind
but you're the key to my peace of mind
'Cause you made me feel, you made me feel
you made me feel like a natural man
When my soul was in the lost and found
you came along to claim it
I didn't know, I didn't know just what was wrong with me
till your kiss helped me to name it
Now I'm no longer doubtful of what I'm living for
but if I make you happy I don't need to do more
'Cause you made me feel, you made me feel
you made me feel like a natural man
Oo baby, baby look what you have done to me
Can't you see that you made me feel so good inside
Don't you know that I just want to be
close to you, you made me feel so alive
'Cause you made me feel, you made me feel
you made me feel like a natural man
Baby I ain't doubtful of what I'm living for
but if I make you happy I don't need to do more
'Cause you made me feel, you made me feel
Well you made me feel like a natural man

I Can See It In Your Eyes
The first time I saw you
I felt weak inside
I search my heart and mind
For words I couldn't find.
Some how you seemed to see
What came over me that night
As a love began to grow
That would last for all time.
And you said, ''I can see it in your eyes
They're the windows to your soul
Sometimes they say more
Than words could ever hope.''
''We could wait a thousand lifetimes
Then never feel like this again
But when you look at me, that way
I can see it in your eyes.''
Later on I asked your hand
And I prayed the time was right
I knelt down on one knee
And said, ''Would you be my bride?''
Then the sound of silence
Filled the air as your tears fell
With mine, you didn't have to say
A word for me to realize.
And I said, ''I can see it in you eyes
They're the window to your soul.''
''I see dreams come alive
And future plans unfold.''
''I could wait a thousand lifetimes
Then not find a perfect love again.''
''When you look at me, that way
I can see it in your eyes.''
Many years have come and gone
And what a life we've made
Now again we search for words
As the heart inside me breaks
Until death do we part
Were the vows we made
And now the time has come
But goodbye's so hard to say.
But I can see it in your eyes
They're the windows to your soul
The light of life is burning but
Soon you're leaving me, I know
But time that's left is precious dear
So please don't shed another tear
You don't have to say a word
I can see it in your eyes.
I've heard you say a thousand times
I'll love you dear, until I die
But you don't have to say a word
I can see it in your eyes...

This World Is Magic
Dreams can make you fly
This world is magic
Rainbows in the sky
This world is magic to me
Dreams can make you fly
This world is magic
We need peace on earth
The second birth of paradise
This world is magic
This world is magic to me
This world is magic
What is the magic of this world
What is the magic of this world
What is the magic of this world
What is the magic of this world
What is the magic of this world
What is the magic of this world
We need peace on Earth
The second birth of paradise
This world is what we share
The nature and the air
Life could be paradise
Eternal peace is what we need
To live in harmony
For human history
Pray for a better world
When you close your eyes again
Planet Earth, that's the name of my place
I'm born in this world, in the entire space
Planet earth, is my home, is my face
Follow your trace embrace this human race
In case, there's a new decade in human history
I'm talking about respect this is my destiny
Feel free, and stop running away
From the doubt in your mind,- never fade to grey
Planet Earth, gentle and blue
Then cold as a rock, or ice without a hue
Planet earth, made out of dust
A big ball of metal, condemn to rust
Pray, let your soul be free
Find out how to heal a bleeding wound don't stand around
Life could be paradise, peace on earth is what I found
All around in a magic world from the air to the ground

The Time Thief
I feel the hours move too fast
and know that I can't make them last.
I do not cry for loss of them,
but the giver of time I do condemn
and cannot forgive how he takes away
every hour on every day.
I close my eyes to all of this
with the hope that he might miss
a few of the hours that belong to me.
But when I open my eyes I see
that those few hours are also gone
and I must face one more dawn.
And again my condemnation's here.
I cannot forgive this thief I fear.
He's stolen the sight of sunny skies.
He's stolen them right before my eyes.
He's fled with all the music I love.
He'll leave me nothing that I'm made of.
Forgive him? No, never I say.
Condemn him, yes and so I pray.
'Let him feel the loss like me.
Let him suffer the misery
of not enough hours to feel complete
and not enough time for his heart to beat.
Sentence him as he sentenced me.
Take away his hours so I can be
free.'

Made For TV Movie
I heard a word from on high
Clear like a light in the sky
It said, "quit blowing each other up"
The voice seemed so crystally clear
Some things are clean in your ear
When only blood fills your cup
Hello
I'm trying to focus, but my eyes deceive me
Focus
I'm witnessing history repeating
It fell like a tear from my eye
Flying machines so up high
Well, there goes the neighborhood
A scene set to singe innocence
Upheave, unhinge, and pit against
Like every made for TV movie should
Hello
I'm trying to focus, but my eyes deceive me
Focus
I'm witnessing history repeating
Focus, Focus
Focus (I can see now)
We are, we know, we see, we think for you
The who, the what, the when, the where, the why
We build your hill, we build you too, we see you
Hello
I'm trying to focus, but my eyes deceive me
Focus
I'm witnessing history repeating

I Just Wasnt Made For These Times
I keep looking for a place to fit
Where I can speak my mind
Ive been trying hard to find the people
That I wont leave behind
They say I got brains
But they aint doing me no good
I wish they could
Each time things start to happen again
I think I got something good goin for myself
But what goes wrong
Sometimes I feel very sad
Sometimes I feel very sad
(cant find nothin I can put my heart and soul into)
Sometimes I feel very sad
(cant find nothin I can put my heart and soul into)
I guess I just wasnt made for these times
Every time I get the inspiration
To go change things around
No one wants to help me look for places
Where new things might be found
Where can I turn when my fair weather friends cop out
Whats it all about
Each time things start to happen again
I think I got something good goin for myself
But what goes wrong
Sometimes I feel very sad
Sometimes I feel very sad
(cant find nothin I can put my heart and soul into)
Sometimes I feel very sad
(cant find nothin I can put my heart and soul into)
I guess I just wasnt made for these times
I guess I just wasnt made for these times
I guess I just wasnt made for these times
I guess I just wasnt made for these times
I guess I just wasnt made for these times
I guess I just wasnt made for these times

The Girl With Lovely Lips
So sweet of face was she to me, with eyes like sapphire stones!
Her voice a softened harmony, just like an angel owns...
Her song was music to my ears, a Spirit-filled embrace...
And I'll recall, throughout the years, a miracle took place!
In seconds, she had drawn me close - in minutes, I was hers.
How long I stared, God only knows, yet that's how love occurs!
Each chorus made my heart to melt, like sunshine warms the ice...
For deep inside, that's how I felt - because she looked so nice!
Her lips like garnets gently smiled, beneath her cheeks so pink -
Her countenance, so meek, so mild, I didn't want to blink!
To think, I didn't know her name, her age or her address,
Yet knew I'd never be the same or find such happiness!
I'll pray for her! May she be blessed! As blessed as I feel now!
Because, to me, she was the best God's mercy could allow...
If she were mine, my fingertips would reach to hold her hand...
I'd gently kiss her lovely lips and hope she'd understand.
Each lover knows this magic spell may fade away in time...
God bless her heart, for I can tell, she's lovely, sweet, sublime...

Dry.
Where did the dreamer go to?
Who`s this hard faced man
In my pose?
Well the trees still rustle
In the summer winds.
And the grass
Still smells sweet.
Closing my eyes
Only sadly to realise,
My mind
Has screwed up my smile.
With troubles (of your) times.
Whatever made me feel
Had learnt it all.
A time just left behind
Rightly.
But was so wrong,
Like a child.
Probably even more so
I need to lie down
Wonder of little to nothing.
But a few moments
Here and there.
Are hardly enough
To cope with this life
Of rush n` care.

Summer
The days were beautifully serene,
And those that lived them were carefree,
Warmed by sights that were to be seen,
As nature's greatness was set free,
One to which the sights did appeal,
Quite soon found herself filled with glee,
Due to how the sun made her feel,
And flaunt what she once did conceal,
The girl wished to be the sun's bride,
As for him she was urged to pine,
The sun made her feel good inside,
For in his presence she would shine,
All that the sun managed to light,
Showed the world that the girl was fine,
She made for an entrancing sight,
As a love she sought to ignite,
To try to make the sun her prince,
The girl acted at every chance,
A love was lost and he's not loved since,
So he ignored every advance,
Hearts are broken with reluctance,
And around the matter we'll dance,
So to avoid any grievance,
That might come as a consequence,
The young girl didn't give up hope,
And made her perseverance known,
With failure the girl could not cope,
For towards it she was not prone,
The girl put her beauty on show,
Adamant not to be alone,
Hopeful she could make love grow,
And thus avoid feeling sorrow,
The girl managed to have her way,
She claimed the sun as her new flame,
But with him she was not to stay,
Owing to how hot things became,
The girl found herself under strain,
Since the sun's verve was hard to tame,
She did try her best to explain,
Yet still caused the sun much pain,
The sun tried winning the girl once more,
For he knew chances of love are rare,
He found that fact hard to ignore,
Which sadly drove him to despair,
A loveless life was the sun's fear,
As he thought it'd be hard to bear,
The sun quite nearly cried a tear,
For he felt his fate was clear,
The sun could not but lose his cool,
When he saw those under love's spell,
He'd be envious as a rule,
And would burn like the flames in hell,
The sun hated all that he did feel,
For such emotions were hard to quell,
And he found them hard to conceal,
Since his broken heart would not heal,
Due to the sun's queer state of mind,
Events occurred that were unplanned,
Counter to how he was inclined,
The sun acted to scorch the land,
There was suffering far and wide,
As the heat was hard to withstand,
All the streams and pools in time dried,
While plants withered up and then died,
The sun was cooled down just in time,
His love returned and used her charm,
She felt what he'd done was a crime,
And wanted to prevent more harm,
The sun's ex-love got through to him,
And managed to get him to calm
By singing a soothing poem,
Which staved off a fate that was grim,
The girl had knowledge to impart,
Which made the sun be less distraught,
She said time would heal his heart,
And he would find the one he sought,
The sun was told that he should wait,
All was not hopeless as he thought,
For if he had faith in his fate,
He would get to find his soul mate,
The girl's advice was taken on,
Because it gave hope to the sun,
And on account of which he shone,
Seeking to light that prized someone,
With the sun tame as he'd once been,
The damage he'd caused was undone,
Across the land a change was seen,
As again all became serene,
There's no telling when love can strike,
And though it may lead to heartache,
The knowledge of what it feels like,
Means no love can be a mistake,
Even if things may appear bleak,
There's always steps one can take,
So to claim the love they seek,
With no regret of which to speak.

If Heaven Could Wait
If Heaven Could Wait by Kenny Davis
If heaven could wait
If only for a year
If only, but a slight moment longer
One chance more to hold her near
If heaven could only wait
If only just for a night
That my eyes may have a chance at one last glance
At her beauty once more in the moonlight
If heaven could only wait
If only for one last sunrise
A moment to gaze upon the majestic horizon
As the sun glistens from her eyes
If heaven could only wait
If only for an hour
Time to hold her tight
Before a time spent without her
Lord, why would you bless me with a love like this
Only to have it taken away
Can I please just have this one moment longer?
Oh, if heaven could only wait
If heaven could only wait
All I simply ask for is time
For the man who is blessed to have her heart
And for the woman proudly holding mine
Is it possible for heaven to wait?
If only for, but a season
One last chance to cherish moments with her
Please allow me this minute more within reason
Lord, please understand
Leaving her so soon, is very hard
To call up my soul from hers
Would cause me to shed heartbroken tears from the stars
Can Heaven have a time to wait?
To avoid this momentary hurt
Although I would love nothing more than to be with you Lord
She is, but my only tie here to this Earth.
After all of this pain, all of this time
I have finally found the one you have made for me
You have divinely favored me to find true love here on Earth
Only to tell me now I must leave?
If heaven could only wait
Long enough to have one last cry
As I look into her eyes, as we say our last goodbyes
Before you call me in the sky
It’s hard to say such things as this
When being with her and God means so much
I would die to be with both of them
From them, I would die for one last touch

The Human Eye
God made the eye-
An extension of brain:
To see the beauty of all things,
He made.
God made the eye-
The mirror of the brain:
To show the mind’s beauty
Within.
God made the eye-
A camera:
To picture Nature’s lively snaps,
For man.
God made the eye-
A receiver:
To gather photic stimuli
For thought.
God made the eye-
Lovely:
To give expression to the face
Of man.
God made the eye-
For sight:
To perceive what the environs
Can give.
God made the eye-
For knowing world of good and bad:
To walk the roads in Heaven’s light,
On earth.
God made the eye-
For seeing light in dark alleys:
To look before one leaps in life
On earth.
God made the eye-
With two fine lids:
To prevent vice
From reaching mind.
God made the eye-
To see and feel:
The Omniscient Lord
Of creation.
God made the eye-
To know His love
And mercy great:
For man and beast.
God made the eye-
To see the light
Of Godliness
On earth’s terrain.
God made the eye-
To choose the road
That leads to Hell
Or to Heaven.

In A Sense I Was Made For This
Upheaval and change
Challenges and knowledge
Schoolwork and Homework
Tests and Quizzes
Finals and Midterms
Broken relationships and loss of time
Unrealized dreams and confusion
I don't think I can handle all this
I know I can't handle this
I don't know what I will do with my life
I don't know my own ambition
Confused by my talents
Feel like I'm made for more
And Yet
Through the pain, when I look at them as trials
In a sense I'm made for this
I'm made to endure this
This is what gives me perseverance
This is what gives me hope
The Great Maker made me
The Great Maker made me to grow up
The Great Maker is using these trials to grow me
So through the pain
Through the confusion
Through the fear of failure
Through the worry and anxiety
My lack of faith my lack of trust
In a sense I was made for this
God you don't want me to be full of sorrow
But God you trust me enough to let me go enough to let me grow
So in a sense
I'm overwhelmed by all these things
I wonder
What then shall I say of all this?
How shall I deal with this
By myself I know I'm inadequate
But when you're with me
In a sense
This is what I'm made

So Others See
As The Spirit moves on men, they are led to be Born Again,
Experiencing a spiritual birth, while living life upon the earth.
Some say spiritual conversion, is by others just a diversion,
Taking them out of true reality, to a world that none can see.
It’s by faith we’ve been saved, from the world, so depraved,
Believing what we cannot see, and focused now on Eternity.
We get Truth on what’s to come, by the Spirit of God’s Son,
God’s Truth about a reality, that’s bigger than eyes, can see.
From a world, changing fast, we see an eternity that will last,
Knowing not what is ahead, we lean upon The Word instead,
With our focus now on God, not on the shifting, earthly sod,
It’s The Spirit we can’t see, who opens eyes, of you and me.
Eyes of only earthly sight, were opened by the Gospel light,
Once veiled to things of Christ, are opened in a spiritual life.
A new life of Eternal worth, far above all the things on earth,
For all we can touch and see, will never last through eternity.
It is The Spirit, who opens eyes, to make men eternally wise,
A wisdom that shall begin, that moment you are Born Again,
And begin living your life, through the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
Living a life so others see, the Hope that you have Eternally.

Did I Do Something Write?
Have I, in recent days…
made you sad
Perhaps brought tears…
To your eyes
Have I rudely rent the fabric
of your heart
By reminding you of
Old loves and lies
Have I made you smile
With a memory tweak
To times long past
Yet dear
Have I made Your
skin crawl a bit
Shiver slightly
In unfounded fear
Have I made you wonder
Why things are… as they are
Have I made you ponder
If some things… really are
Have I made you snicker
Snort or chuckle
Caused you to dreamily smell
Long faded honeysuckle
Have I made you feel
That I’ve wasted your time
That you could have done Better
than to have read what I’ve written
Have I caused a big grin …With
some asinine rhyme…Made you remember
a certain letter From that special someone…
that you were smitten
Have I gotten Inside your head
To private places…
Thoughts known
to only you
Have I done these things?
If so… My heart sings
For these are things…
That only poets do
