Flight of Fancy
Our sofa was a spaceship.
We soared between the stars
Visiting distant planets
Like Jupiter and Mars.
My brother and I were astronauts
Dad was Chief Engineer
He'd power up the engines
Then through the heavens we'd steer.
We followed a passing comet,
Met some little green men,
Went to the edge of the universe
And all the way back again.
We travelled across the galaxy
Passed the Milky Way.
Even took tea with the Man in the Moon
And all in just one day!
Our sofa was a spaceship
That special afternoon
Oh! What a great adventure!
And over all too soon!

Heavenly Dreams
I visualize a voyage into infinite space,
Along with a spaceship and you,
Travelling hyperspeed, we would happily race,
A Comet, for the fun of the 'new'!
We would take a swift glance at vast Jupiter,
Perhaps stop for a picnic on Mars,
I certainly wouldn't worry, I'd know where we were,
By studying the formation of Stars.
With a stop off on Saturn, to study the views,
Then a visit to a Galaxy's expanse,
The whole spectacle, would sweep, away any blues,
And leave our keen minds in a trance.
The sun would shine brightly, a fab sight to see,
And lighten our excursion, for sure,
Away in this Universe, we'd feel oh so free.
What a wonderful way, to explore.
The Moon would glow softly, as we ended our trip,
Lighting our way home, to our beds,
To wearily climb down from our super spaceship,
With such heavenly dreams, in our heads.

I'm Flash
I'm Flash, I'm the hero
I'm the bopper who's the poppa of the crew
I'm Flash, and I fight evil
And my spaceship flies the red, white and blue
I'm Flash, like a streaker
You'll find me cruising out among the stars
And I'm feared by every outlaw
And every renegade from Jupiter to Mars
The jails are full in Saturn and I can tell you why
'Cause I'm the full-blasting, protoblasting hero of the sky
On Mars the smugglers starve no matter what they try
'Cause I'm the everlasting, flabber-ghasting guy who's flying high
I'm Flash, yeah, I'm the hero
From the starspangled U.S of A
I believe in packin' punchin' power
And hitting fast 'cause that's the only way
I'm Flash
I'm Flash, and I'm a mover
My spaceship glides at twice the speed of light
I'm Flash, and I'm a He-Man
I'm a six foot one inch block of dynamite
I'm Flash, in shining armor
And I love to rescue damsels in distress
And my wave length is always open so I can answer any call of S.O.S
I've been in trouble of the worst kind ever since I left the womb
I'm a death defying, terrifying spotlight in the gloom
When you see me coming, boys, just give me lots of room
'Cause I'm the liquifying, crucifying harbinger of doom
I'm Flash, I'm the hero
I'm the bopper who's the poppa of the crew
I'm Flash, and I fight evil
And my spaceship flies the red, white and blue
You know, my spaceship flies the red, white and blue
I said, my spaceship flies the starspangled red, white and blue
I'm Flash, spelled F L A S H

With Moon in Libra Yin/Yang align

Flying at Night
lost in the universe
counting stars
hurtling through space
this spaceship
for six billion years
shunting through
crevices, corners
dark as the dark sky
the stars its guiding light
from corner to corner
this realm ever expanding
casting mysteries of its origin, vastness
only one or two manage to touch
its workings in figures and letters
einstein leading the pack
but the spaceship waits for no man
the realm waits for no one
every sphere expanding
moving us to somewhere
the corner of our mind
the corner of the realm
inspired by
Flying at Night
Above us, stars. Beneath us, constellations.
Five billion miles away, a galaxy dies
like a snowflake falling on water. Below us,
some farmer, feeling the chill of that distant death,
snaps on his yard light, drawing his sheds and barn
back into the little system of his care.
All night, the cities, like shimmering novas,
tug with bright streets at lonely lights like his.

Milky Way Galaxy
At night the sky
Becomes an entire new world
To the human eye
The moon
Sometimes as round as a soccer ball
Appears as it begins to get dark
A million tiny bright lights
Called stars
Appear like specks of dust
Out of nowhere
And soon I am outdoors
Observing the planets like mars
And also the Milky Way galaxy
With my trustworthy telescope

Green Man
The story I am about to tell
is about a man who fell down a well.
His real name was Costaswell
that was until he fell down the well
where the night before
in the shadows of the moon
someone tipped gallons
of green paint down the well.
Then poor Costaswell fell in
and when he popped his head out.
Everyone thought he was an Alien.
You all know the type,
a green man from Mars.
Someone called the army in,
they asked where his spaceship had landed.
He said he did not have one
and he did not come from Mars.
Now poor Costaswell is better know
as the green man
who did not come from mars,
but from Hampton Court.
Now when he walks down the street
dogs come and raise a leg up
as they think he is a tree.
Kids drag their mothers to come and see
the green Martian from Hampton Court.
Everyone is wondering now
in the winter what will he do,
will he turn a light green
or will he turn blue.

We Are The Horsemen
As we search for black people and white people
Seeking the world of the four horsemen facing
John, henry, the robot, dr. smith, and will robinson
Come in please -- on track for the remix
[kool keith]
Adjusting our systems the horsemen are ready to go
Our jets, should be ready for take off, any second
Aheheheheheheheh!
I probe for evidence, movin, positive beams
Incite the first gadget, my atom explodes
Just hit the fifth planet, the x reload
Take a brother on a flight for the alpha, omega
I kick lyrics on earth, you think i'm cosmic
A spacewalker, dippin in my spacecraft
Through molecules, a steel wall interphase
The fourth horseman, legendary universe
Dark shadow human rhymin on a funky verse
I'm level 7, optimus pull back
Feeding the world of gamma data, to locate
You interlock, power 7 warp speed
Negative charge, biochemically crush
My own nucleus bomb, the great menudo
Yo wolverine i'm down, cyclops, rhythm x
X we can back up the four horsemen
Toronto blue jays, field, just like dave winfield
Pick up your bat and go to third
I see that man at the plate, he's waitin home
We are the horsemen -- enter your spaceship! (3x)
We are the horsemen -- enter!
While, returning back to my spaceship
On my galactic horse, this is what happened..
[ced gee]
I get super bionic
No my name's not mantronix, but i'm 4-h-m
Kickin flavor so steadily, so wickedy wicked
Can i switchedy switch it, i saw my troops last night
They said, "ced could you kick it?"
I got mega in concert
Then i wrote a deposit, i hit my mega-mini
Zoom back to outer space, ten nine eight seven six
Five four three - the chain reaction
Triggered the mad flows, then the rhymin got hyper
Plus i knew what they like-a, so i ripped it and rock it
Frequencies in the pocket, one blast two blast
Yes approximate, green in the chambers
The lights came on, infrared and exciting
Most don't know what i'm saying, galactic come beams
Beams beams beams beams beams beams
Beams beams beams...
Now it's classic the atom, no i don't mean the phantom
Molecules in the mix, with lots of protons to hand them
Plus i'm billin the workers, secret charts led to persia
When they're reachin their pick-up, i'ma crossover bezerker
We turn to the galaxy, the universe bothers me
From the wild wild west, i have a spaceship mentality
When i chill at the planet, magnesium flip
So i shake up the myolex, so what's left?
We are the horsemen -- enter your spaceship! (5x)
Yee-hah, ride em silver, we out!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, check it out, yeah..
Jimmy cliff down with the horsemen
Ron bordett down with the horsemen
Doc doc down with the horsemen
Kevvy kev down with the horsemen
Kleptor down with the horsemen
Drew love down with the horsemen
Old maid down with the horsemen
Chuck beats down with the horsemen
Jazz down with the horsemen
Kevvy kev down with the horsemen
Cut cut down with the horsemen
The whole world down with the horsemen
All the honies down with the horsemen
And we're out (yeahhhh) check it out
We are the horsemen -- enter your spaceship! (7x)

Relinquish
I delegate the Galaxy to you--
For happenstance has ignored me-
The Cosmos have shed no light this day...
And Infinity 'tis impossible to see;
Secure in your heated arms of no regret...
I give over my chain of command...
Weary-so weary and so very tired-
And in dire need of a helping hand;
You've never let me down in the past-
And the Moon has taken his leave-
The Sun and the Stars are all visiting Mars--
And today its just so hard to believe;
And so i delegate the Galaxy to you--
I know that you will take great care-
Between Earth and sky-its just you and i-
Mingling at last-in sweet serenitys air;

Sonnet: God is Within
I search’d for God ’midst flowers, leaves, things green!
In every living thing that I could see;
I looked for Him in everything with sheen;
I saw His art but God I couldn’t truly.
I search’d for God in every moving beast,
In animalcules, Mammoths seen no more;
’Midst mountains, rivers, vales, seas, west and east;
I found His touch but could not see his core.
I search’d for Him in Space, amidst the stars;
Sun, moon and galaxies, all things afar;
And people had in His name fought great wars;
I failed to see God by spaceship to Mars!
In frustration, I look’d within my heart,
And Lo! I found Him laugh, amidst his art.

Jupiter
Maurice white, verdine white, larry dunn & philip bailey
Maurice white, verdine white, larry dunn and philip bailey
Searching in the sky one night, while looking for the moon
I viewed a mighty light approching in a zoom
Need was there to tell someone of my discovery
Fifteen seconds later, a light appeared in front of me
To my surprise, there stood a man with age and mystery
His name was jupiter and came to visit me
The name is jupiter, from the galaxy
I came to meet you, to make you free
Deliver to you a flower from
A distant planet, from where I come
Keep your eye on jupiter, such beauty in the sky
We will wait for your return in the by & by
Keep your eye on jupiter, memories we shall fulfill
Just to view a brighter day, and do a righteous will
Watching and considering my visual state of mind
The flower fragrance help reveal to me the sign
The sigh of love, I had confessed to live and really know
The sign of love which I had failed my fellowman to show
The name is jupiter, from the galaxy
I came to meet you, to make you free
Deliver to you a flower from
A distant planet, from where I come
The name is jupiter, from the galaxy
I came to meet you, to make you free
Deliver to you a flower from
A distant planet, from where I come

Everybody's Going To The Moon
Kick that switch and Hyper-Zoom! X4
I've got a one way ticket, yeah,
To a distant galaxy.
I'll take a rocket to the stars, to,
escape catastrophe!
See time is tickin' on and on and on and on,
And life's in short supply.
So send me on a no-return trajectory,
'cause everything I know, is going to die!
CHOURS
Let's travel to a beautiful new world,
Leave this world behind.
Everybody's going to the moon.
I'd like to stay a little bit longer, but,
I've seen all the signs.
Everybody's going to the moon.
Everybody's going to the moon.
I've got a one way future,
Apocalyptic Doom.
So I need a destination,
Hope I get there soon.
The whole night I prayed
And soon I will be done,
So we're to make this journey
far beyond the stars and leave behind
the distant love of my unsetting sun
Sit back
Kick that switch and Hyper-Zoom! X4

I'm gonna travel the exit gets to the stars,
To find another home,
Search the universe for Xanadu,

A Naughty Little Comet
There was a little comet who lived near the Milky Way!
She loved to wander out at night and jump about and play.
The mother of the comet was a very good old star;
She used to scold her reckless child for venturing out too far.
She told her of the ogre, Sun, who loved on stars to sup,
And who asked no better pastime than in gobbling comets up.
But instead of growing cautious and of showing proper fear,
The foolish little comet edged up nearer, and more near.
She switched her saucy tail along right where the Sun could see,
And flirted with old Mars, and was as bold as bold could be.
She laughed to scorn the quiet stars who never frisked about;
She said there was no fun in life unless you ventured out.
She liked to make the planets stare, and wished no better mirth
Than just to see the telescopes aimed at her from the Earth.
She wondered how so many stars could mope through nights and days,
And let the sickly faced old Moon get all the love and praise.
And as she talked and tossed her head and switched her shining trail
The staid old mother star grew sad, her cheek grew wan and pale.
For she had lived there in the skies a million years or more,
And she had heard gay comets talk in just this way before.
And by and by there came an end to this gay comet's fun.
She went a tiny bit too far-and vanished in the Sun!
No more she swings her shining trail before the whole world's sight,
But quiet stars she laughed to scorn are twinkling every night.

There Shall Be No Blank Space Of This Jalousy
she broke a piece
of the window, a plank of glass
and the cat gets in at night
and sleeps on my favorite sofa
i never like this
i don't like a blank space where a cat slips in
and takes a portion of my sofa
this is strictly prohibited in my world
today the plank of glass is delivered
and there is no emptiness left along the lines of this
space
where the wind is free to
to get in and then move out like nothing happened
between the cat and the sofa.

Believe First In Yourself Baby
believe in yourself first baby
and everyone will soon follow
they will believe you because
you believe in yourself
and you will lead them to the
belief of other selves and
all of you will start believing
another soul becomes a king
another soul becomes a queen
and soon you shall have a
kingdom of believers: strong
men and women,
without an oppressor
without a tyrant
and soon we all become ourselves
planets within our orbits
a galaxy moving alone
lights shining, stars and more stars
who is afraid of a black space
who is afraid of a black hole
who is afraid of this mouth of
boredom and loneliness?
no one, no one, because
we believers in ourselves
foremost, like to eat them.
and there fromt this earth
the stargazers see us:
shining stars, venus, jupiter and mars
look how they shine!

September Rain
September Rain (sonnet)
Most days, on my way to the bar or grocery shop,
I walk past an old man who sits in the shade of
an oak, on a creaky sofa that has lost its place in
the lounge. I usually stop and talk to him, he can’t
remember me from one day to the next, tells me
the same story about his parents, and where he
grew up; Portugal of yore. He isn’t here today, only
the mantle, he wraps around himself when there
is a chill in the air, is flung on the old sofa; a zephyr
whispers that he will not be back. “Will I be that old?
I ask the waning sun. I sit on a sofa on the terrace,
a blanket wrapped around my shoulders, scan the sky,
in the vale where I live and my parents too lived,
we wait for September rain.

The Red Sofa
The thick red sofa,
Anf of the laughter and joy that it brings in the name of love;
But this had been our place always,
And to warm ourselves from the cold of winter!
The thick red sofa,
This was our place of love and everything!
Both in the hot and the cold weathers to swing with the muse of love,
For this red sofa is all that we have in the room.

Sitting On My Sofa
All alone, sitting on my sofa,
Oh, oh, oh, sitting on my sofa,
Sipping at my soda,
Sitting on my sofa.
All alone, sitting on my sofa,
Oh, oh, oh, sitting on my sofa,
Sipping at my soda,
Sitting on my sofa.
You got all your friends,
I got a tv set.
You got your cars,
And this boys never had anything.
Now Im stuck here, sitting on my sofa,
Oh, oh, oh, sitting on my sofa,
Sipping at my soda,
Sitting on my sofa.
You got all your friends,
I got a tv set.
You got your cars,
And this boys never had anything.
Now Im stuck here, sitting on my sofa,
All alone, sitting on my sofa,
Sipping at my soda,
Sitting on my sofa.
Oh, oh, oh, sitting on my sofa,
Oh...
