Twilight Time
The purple mountains
are set ablaze
by the settings sun's
crimson haze.
The stars begin to appear
blinking bright
as falls the coming night.
A silence hushes everything
in this twilight hour
in that time trapped
between day and night.

Purple Haze
Purple Haze all in my brain
Lately things don't seem the same
Acting funny but I don't know why
Excuse me while i kiss the sky
Purple haze all around
Don't know if I'm coming up or down
Am i happy or in misery
What ever it is that girl put a spell on me
Help me Help me
Oh i don't know
Purple haze all in my eyes
Don't know if it's day or night
You've got me blowin, blowin my mind
Is it tomorrow or just the end of time
Who knows?
Help me
Oh yeah
Come on know

Evening Picturesque
As the day closes
the sun slips behind the horizon
filling the sky with a crimson glow,
silhouetting the mountains to purple
and tranquillity falls quietly over everything.
As the clouds of night race across the sky
and darkness brings peace once again.

Sunset Serenade
I serenade my love at sunset
beneath the embers of a sleepy sun.
Just before it slips away
behind the distant mountains
to herald the coming of the night
when the purple hues envelope everything
and the night choir all begin to sing.
My love and I sit
as I sing my serenade,
our fingers linked together
as the light begins to fade.
We sip the nectar of love
at the closing of the day
and the world to us
seems a million miles away.
At a time, when day and night collide
and beckon evening tide.
We sit at peace with the world
and enjoy our sunset serenade.

September Nights
Only in September night
The stars are so bright.
Only in September night
The stars are like silver nails
Ready to tell me fairy tales.
On the black silky velvet they shine,
One of them is certainly mine.
It is close to the Ursa Major,
It is my dearest encourager.
It looks at me from the dark sky,
Winks and says: Come on, fly!
It seems to be very small,
I know, it will never fall.
May be it’s a giant star,
It looks small as it’s too far.
With the huge stars around
It’s quite hard to be found.
For me it is an exception,
Of the whole universe it’s a fraction.
I am so daring and brave to crave
When time comes to shine over my grave.

Nocturne
As velvet haze so blankets the dusk
And too soon the crimson sunset fades
My delights still in the twilight bask
While sun beneath rolling waves recedes
Oh shades of night, for my slumber keep
Tunes of day that in the night have died
Fill me gently as I deeply sleep
Conceal the tears every time I cried.

In The Night (Shine On)
Beauty in the setting sun
is what you are
when the day is done
where dreams have just begun
in the night you glimmer
and heaven is not too far
I see your eyes
sparkle like twilight
starlight in the night
moonbeams shining in your hair
a face so true and fair
Your lips sweet like wine
pretty as a desert flower
like an endless moment in time
in the night you shimmer
And in the morning dawn
when the day is shining bright
the sound of silence dies
you will still shine on

My Telescope
my hearts beating
noticably without warning
racing this tune
writing a poem
stuck in the underworld
forever starless night
light abandoned me
then I saw the stars in your eyes
you pulled me out
like a lifeguard
giving me back breath
awakening my soul
Now I see
A myriad of stars
I look up
I see you
Flashing and blinking
Your shooting
Across the night sky
In through
My telescope
My telescope
The universe
Has never looked so grand
In all my years now
Possibility floods in
Like molten lava
You branded me a new name
Now I see
A myriad of stars
I look up
I see you
Flashing and blinking
Your shooting
Across the night sky
In through
My telescope
My telescope

Night-Night (Children)
Night-night moon
Night-night stars
Night-night noisy
trucks and cars.
Night-night sand box
Night-night toys
Night-night other
girls and boys.
Night-night mom
Night-night dad
Night-night Boogie Man
who's not bad.
It's time to go to sleep now,
most all my night nights said.
Night-night blankie
Night-night bed.
The Night Cometh
Work! for the night is coming;
Work! through the morning hours;
Work! while the dew is sparkling;
Work! 'mid the springing flowers;
Work! while the day grows brighter,
Under the glowing sun;
Work! for the night is coming,--
Night, when man's work is done.
Work! for the night is coming;
Work! through the sunny noon;
Fill the bright hours with labour,
Rest cometh sure and soon.
Give to each flying minute
Something to keep in store;
Work! for the night is coming,--
Night, when man works no more.
Work! for the night is coming;
Under the sunset skies,
While their bright tints are glowing,
Work! for the daylight flies;
Work! till the last beam fadeth,
Fadeth to shine no more;
Work! while the night is darkening,--
Night, when man's work is o'er.

Crimson Amongst The Gold
We watch the burning sky
as the setting sun warms
it just before night falls.
The crimson amongst the gold
where our dream lie
to be awoken in our hearts.
Beyond the horizon
where we always want to be.
We see the world there
as something we have not got.
The life we dream about
we know it lies there.
In the night, we reach out to touch the stars
knowing that if we touch them
all our wishes and dreams
will one day come true
in our tomorrow’s quest
down life’s road.
We keep walking to our sunset
never knowing when destiny
will take us to our dreams.
That paradise just beyond our imagination
where all things are possible
and some day will be.

Early Works - The Twilight Hour
When twilight is here
you shall see
but not hear a sound
the world will be peaceful
the seas will be calm
the flowers will sway gracefully
in the breeze as night does come.
The twilight hour
is the hour before darkness does prevail
when little children into dreamland sail
when the sunset leaves the sky grey and blue
then the twilight hour comes into view.
The big city sounds die peacefully
when twilight calls gracefully
as small creatures rest their heads in sleep
as all the world in tranquil stillness does seep
for the twilight hour is tranquil
as it gracefully does call.

Moon And Stars Above
A candle flickers
as the night breeze descends
casting shadows on the wall
of things we never saw.
They dance to the gentle rhythm
created by the breeze
as the clouds of evening
begin to gather in the sky.
Young lovers walk under
the moon and stars above
to kiss and cuddle in profusion
under the nearest tree.
Slowly night closes in
as the night chorus serenade
the young lovers
under the moon and stars above.
All too soon, they are parted
as night turns into day
and they have to wait again
until the night chorus signal
another close of day.

Post Hallows Write
all hallows had past
an evening of mild frights
enriched by child's laughter
the trick of the treat
the night end came so soon
a silence fell and all slept
some time passed
I awoke to a cold morn
with the haze of fog outside
a world still sleeping
unstirred in the early hour
I thought and forgot
later I wrote
it was the night previous
my memory visited
in writing this

THE BLISS OF MY OWN SILENCE (revised)
in this place
the first thing that i hear every morning
is the song of the birds
on top of trees
as they prepare to leave
after a night's sleep
as i open my window
and light is still young like some eyes blinking
i wonder
what are these birds up to?
they do not build their nests here
they just come
spend a night and then leave and are back again
on the same hour of the another night
i try to ask more questions
that i myself have to answer
but then
something comes up within
the reasons do not really matter
it is their songs
the harmony with the wind
the joy of the trees
the bliss
of my own silence....

Twilight Vista
Twilight is unfolding with an awesome purple view,
A rare parade in shades of crimson too,
This placid scene offers one a moment of peace for a time;
While a lonesome bridge invites one to enjoy more of this grand vista so divine,
From up above where we can take in this glorious purple twilight;
That will sadly only last until the dawn's early light,
Still there's a feeling of warmth from watching the golden lights that glow off the water below;
Where it seems more like a dream.....unbelieveably so;
And for a short while, at least, we were given some reprieve,
From life's many storms, but for now it's time to take our leave.

Crimson Hues
When the sky is awash with a crimson hues
at twilight time
it’s suppose to mean there is a fair day ahead.
When the sky is awash with a crimson hues
at the dawn rise
it’s suppose to mean there is a stormy day ahead.
Does that only relate to the weather
or does it mean our lives to,
we can only wait and see
the next time there is a crimson hues.

Two Weeks Into September
Two weeks into September the leaves begin to brown
In the groves and in the Town Park of in and near Millstreet Town
And soon the redwing thrushes in the old fields will be seen
When the gray frost of the cold morning does temporarily cloak the green,
Two weeks into September by the mountains far away
Few singing birds at daybreak do sing to greet the day
Yet in my flights of fancy i hear the jackdaws call
And i hear the robin singing in the cool days of the Fall
With a tongue that can't stop babbling every night and every day
The old stream from the mountains to the river winds it's way
And on a rock in the river around where the rapid waters flow
The dark brown dipper is singing the one with breast as white as snow
And on the second week of September by the mountains far north of here
The shortening days are getting cooler in the Autumn of the year.
