To Me

I sit in my car
while darks clouds
try to molest the sun’s rays. I
am thinking of Easter
and what it means to us
from all the four corners of the world.
To me Easter means a new life,
a resurrection from the old.
To move forward, making
it better with each step.
Discarding the sorrows
that crucified our mind,
walking forward, head tall
to meet new challenges
that will lay ahead.

An Easter Prayer

Dear Lord of all creation
who looks down on us each day.
Help us when we are betrayed and crucified
for something we have never done
nor was ever going to do.
Give us the strength to face the challenges
of starting our life a new.
Give us the guidance as we move forward
into the new life when resurrecting ourselves.

Amen

Resurrection

When we think of Easter
we think of resurrection,
but there are other resurrections
that can happen in our lives.
We get to that point
where we can go no further.
We slip into an abyss
from which there seems no return.
Then one day we will meet someone
who will within a few words,
change our life around.
A resurrection takes place within us
making us better than we were,
driving us on and on to success.
The success we craved for,
but always seemed just out of our reach
and then our resurrection is complete.

Easter.

Easter is a special time in your life,
It means resurrection after the darkness,
By following the steps of your brother
Jesus Christ.

Dying means not a gory death,
But let go the will, want and regret.
To became what God always meant for you,
A perfect child of the Universe,
Where eventually everyone should be too.

Easter

Celebrating the march of spring,
Awaiting what fruitful months bring,
We honour the resurrection,
And use the time for reflection,
Children will get their chocolate fix,
And outside one can hear new born chicks,
Smiles are shared at the holiday,
With loved ones for Easter Sunday,
Family comes to the forefront,
Kids go on an Easter egg hunt,
At last it is the end of Lent,
No more in fasting are days spent,
Blessings from the Easter Bunny,
The days change from cold to sunny,
Plants begin to show their flowers,
There are ever less rain showers.

B.s. Pie

When the ______hits the fan
as fast -as fast as it can.
You come running,
Running, running very funny

funny like an Easter Bunny.
Now bouncing on one paw,
with other paw in the air,
your hopping high,
your hopping scared,

Gathering your lying eggs,
but they smell bad,
soon to explode in your Easter bag.
Hopping to the saint on the couch,

Saying words to flatter you come out of his pouch.
Saint laughs in his head,
he comforts you and puts you to bed.
On a bed of nails he makes you wait,
telling you what you want to hear,
making you take the bait.

Only you are the fool
for your caught in your lies,
making a mountain of B.S. Pie.
Funny you will never realize,
you've been tricked,

but your lying and thinking your slick,
thinking your the one with all the Easter chicks.

White Angel the Easter Rabbit

Out of a lovely fantasy…..,
She appeared one Springtime day…..,
And made our world……,
So happy in every way……,
It was a vision so wondrous……,
As we colored our eggs…..,
For the Easter Holiday

White Angel, The Easter Rabbit…..,
Brought sunshine to our lives…..,
When it came to joy we had it…..,
White Angel, The Easter Rabbit…..,

She’d hop, hop, hop….,
All day long…..,
Be dancin’ around……,
And singin’ a song…..,
As Easter came so merrily…..,
She was so much fun for us to see……,

White Angel, The Easter Rabbit…..,
Brought sunshine to our lives…..,
Lovin’ her was a tireless habit……,
White Angel, The Easter Rabbit…..,

But poof just like each night and day……,
Her visit soon had to end …..,
So she hop, hop, hopped on her way……,
Off to visit her fairytale friends……,
As we sadly bid farewell to her…….,
She said, “Come on now, don’t cry…..,
I’ll be back again some Easter Day”…..,

White Angel, The Easter Rabbit…..,
Brought sunshine to our lives…..,
When it came to joy we had it…..,
White Angel, The Easter Rabbit…..,
Pure white gold in 24 karat…..,
White Angel, The Easter Rabbit….! ! !

A Healthier Easter

This is the first Easter
No candy baskets will be here
But we had so many baskets
Each and every year.

The kids are older now
Candy they don’t want anymore
So this Easter the baskets sit empty
Behind the closet door.

Somehow I want the Easter Bunny here
Want those baskets filled with eggs so bright
But my teens want to be healthier
So they make sure that they eat right.

They forfeit sugar and junk
No more Peeps or a big chocolate bunny
But being without Easter Baskets on Easter
Seems to be very odd and funny.

So I am putting the word out
To the Easter Bunny in my town
That I don’t think the teens will mind
If you decide to come around.

Maybe you could leave some health bars
Perhaps some fruit and veggies too
And maybe you could put some books in there
Those things could still say “I love you”.

East At Easter

We go walking, hand in hand
All across the land its east at easter
People walking hand in hand
When ships are moving south it will be east at easter
We will rock you, rock you little child
We will rock you, rock you little child
All across the land its east at easter
All across the land its east at easter
Things will lighten up the sky, east at easter
Things will lighten up the sky, east at easter
Well go walking hand in hand
cause all across the land it will be east at easter
Ah, we will rock you, rock you little child
We will rock you, rock you little child
All across the land its east at easter
When ships go moving south it will be east at easter
Theyre gonna lighten up the sky
Theyre gonna lighten up the sky
Theyre gonna lighten up the sky
East at easter
Ah, well go walking hand in hand
Well go walking hand in hand, yes
We will rock you, rock you little child
We will rock you, rock you
Rock you little child
Theyre gonna lighten up the sky
When they lighten up the sky it will be east at easter
We will rock you, rock you, rock you

The Real Reason

I'm going to tell you something you might consider funny
But Easter isn't all about the hip hoppity bunny
NOr is at about candy and all those other sweets
And the eggs in the basket and other fun treats
Now listen close to what I have to say
And you'll know why we celebrate this day
Easter tells us how much God's love costs
And how He wants to gather in the lost
It was on the cross Christ died for our sin
So those who believed now to heaven enter in
Yes, God so loved the world that He gave His Son
So victory over death could now be won
On Easter morning Christ rose from the dead
The story's not over, there's much more to be said
yes, it's okay to enjoy the bunny, the candy and sweets
The eggs in the basket and the other fun treats
Just remember that Christ's resurrection is the real reason
That we celebrate the Easter season

Easter Bunny

Easter Bunny
Come in a hurry
I want my Easter egg

Easter Bunny
Please don't tarry
Remember what I said

Paint my egg blue
With little brushes too
And add a little red to it
'Cause I won't mind if you did

Put my egg in the basket
With a little red ribbon
Put it in your jacket
And bring it to London

Easter Parade

In your easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it,
Youll be the grandest lady in the easter parade.
Ill be all in clover and when they look you over,
Ill be the proudest fellow in the easter parade.
On the avenue, fifth avenue, the photographers will snap us,
And youll find that youre in the rotogravure.
Oh, I could write a sonnet about your easter bonnet,
And of the girl Im taking to the easter parade.

Easter by transfer

The last year alienated me
from your charisma once for all
and crucified my love of thee.
This year retrieved me,
by return to you, a miracle,
and resurrected my love of thee.
Easter follows not every Friday.
Let this year be Easter for us.

Sonnet: Kargil War-song

March Ye forward, O Indian sepoy!
’Tis wartime again on land, sea and sky;
Our foes occupy the Kargil hills O boy!
And mountains and vales, where war-planes can’t fly.

March Ye forward, O Indian soldier!
The north-west sky is filled with smoke and fire;
Kashmir’s vale’s at stake, so is the frontier;
The enemy has the vantage, not attire.

March Ye forward, O Indian jawan;
Ye flush out the intruders everyone;
Climb the mountains by night and strike by dawn;
Give thy precious life to silence their gun.

March Ye forward, March Ye forward, nev’r stop;
Hoist the Indian tricolor Kargil-top!

Marks of a True Easter Man

Another Easter,
Another season.
Trying to foster
The real reason.
Time to repent?
Done that before
Change was absent
What was it for?

Notice the marks
Of the true Easter man,
He cannot look back
Facing God's direction,
He is not going back
From his crucifixion,
Nor return to the old
Rotten life oblivion.

He lost all his plans,
Someone did it for him,
When he nailed Self up there
That decision was firm.
So the true Easter man,
Is OWNED by the Savior
His new life is more than
Just Easter time labor.

'Theref ore, do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration, or a Sabbath Day.
These are a shadow of things to come, but the reality, however, is found in
Christ.'

Progress Is the Concept That Inspires Ideas

To move forward,
In thought.
Or in actual movement.
Means exactly that!
Not to discuss it,
As if to do so will get it done.
To move forward takes applied effort.
If a repeated situation,
Does not get resolved.
Because there is something,
In one's consciousness that blocks this.
Moving forward is not going to be accomplished.
To make noticeable progress.
And progress is the concept that inspires ideas.
Rarely, if ever...
Does enlightenment stirs or occurs,
To one 'enhanced' by the driven excitement of stagnation.
Unless this has been determined as a fresh activity.
And for a very few,
This may be a possibility.

Happy Easter!

Palm Sunday has gone,
Holy week has begun,
The week with events
Leading to Jesus torments,
To His Resurrection,
Showing the spirits domination.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Easter Sunday today,
The greatest holiday.
We pray and say,
All around the world,
The words of love to our Lord
Showing that his death was not in vain.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

We light the candles
As a symbol of the rising sun,
And their light resembles
Jesus was really God’s Son.
The light comes back to the world
With the risen Jesus.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

The church bells ring,
The whole world sings Alleluia!
Easter eggs we bring
As a symbol of spring
With pretty small limes
Since the ancient times.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Easter Rabbits or Easter Bunny
Look today happy and sunny.
They represent a new life
Full of presents and so nice.
We wear new clothes to look the best,
We’d like to follow His behest.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

The history of Sunday Easter has a long story,
And today we proclaim Jesus Christ Day
And say: Glory to our Lord!
Glory to the King of all Christians:
Ukrainians and Indians,
Russians and Americans,
Of all those who want to live in love and peace,
Our life for better to increase.

Glory to Jesus Christ!

And…..Happy Easter!

Resurrection

Depression is my burden
I just want recovery
I want a resurrection
That’s what this Easter means to me.

But I don’t want pain or sorrow
Nor being nailed onto a cross
I’m numbed by medication
And the acuity I’ve lost.

Perhaps there’s good in all this bad?
Perhaps there’s sunshine at the end?
Perhaps I’m paying the full price
For not having been my friend?

Suicide keeps being mentioned
When psychiatrists I see
I would not do it! Not at all!
I don’t want a Calvary.

Yet self-loathing is a cancer
More invasive than self-doubt
I feel I’ve been invaded
And I can’t get that devil out.

People say ‘just look at Churchill’
And others who inspired
They suffered from depression
And it somehow stoked their fires.

I smile with all these comments
I was the most relaxed of men
But when the smiling’s over
That Black Dog comes again.

Sometimes the anger gets too much
And I start shouting at the moon
Adrenalin is shaking me
And sleep can’t come too soon.

I am not the Easter Bunny
Nor am I Christ upon the cross
I used to be a normal person
But it’s now the plot I’ve lost.

Each day I hope for resurrection
To feel the sun and smile and see
That there is hope and happiness
But it’s crucifying me.

For depression is my burden
It’s my crown of thorns to wear
I wake each single morning
Hoping it’s not there.

Easter Sermon

Each Easter three words come to mind, Betrayal, Crucifixion and Resurrection. We wonder how these can be relevant within our daily lives.
Betrayal.
Betrayal normally comes from people we hold close, friends and even our family.
Crucifixion.
Crucifixion comes from the words they bandy about to others making us look as if we are nasty and cheap. We then get the sly glances and whispering remarks behind our back from others whose words are based on what the betrayer has said.
Resurrection.
Resurrection comes when we rise above the sly remarks and innuendoes that are said. Rise above them and start a new and better life.
Yes, those three words are relevant within our daily lives. We need only look, around and we will see them everyday in people’s lives and we have probably felt them ourselves in our own lives from time to time.

Amen

Author’s Note.

For those who may not know I am a pretend Preacher in a Western Town called Deadwood which I helped build. I have a church and as the Preacher I have to give a service on the Sundays whenever we are there. The above is my Easter Sermon I delivered on Sunday 12 April 2009. I always keep my sermons short to ensure no one falls asleep while I am delivering them. Thank you for reading this.
