Land Called Hope
Far across the sea of suffering
lies, a land called hope
where our dreams lay sleeping
waiting for our wake up call.
We rise and stretch every morning,
hoping to stretch across that sea
and grasp one of our sleeping dreams
from that land called hope.
Each day we fail to reach it
while it is only inches away,
but our day will come.
Our arms will stretch
far within its shore
and pluck one
of our sleeping dreams
from that land called hope.

Just Beyond The Rainbow’s End
There is a green and pleasant land,
where I wish to spend my retiring years.
A land that has tall mountains
that reach up to the sky,
trees tall, green and noble
that stretch across many acres of land,
with cooling streams that flow through the heart
of this green and pleasant land
that lies just beyond the rainbow’s end.
This is where this paradise starts,
a place one day to which I’ll lose my heart.
The people there are friendly
and take you in with open arms.
There one day I hope to be
in that green and pleasant land
that lies just beyond the rainbow’s end.

Hope, where are you?
Show me the fountain of hope
Show me the country called hope
Where are the soldiers of hope?
What are the prizes of hope?
What hope do wicked people have?
where is the the hope of smoke in the air?
the hope of ocean foam that
dissipates in the storm, beckons for explanation.
Wonder of the world, even birds flies through the air
but have no sign that it has been there.
so is the heroes of our time.
Labor of our heroes past
wallow in vain.
Songs of pain the trumpet sound while
the cities walled tainted by mediocrity
Desolation and depravity upon mediocrity
The order of the day
Hope, where are you?
The land is void of hope and good dreams
What hope lies for the slave,
in the kingdom of mediocre?

The land of curse
Broken people with broken limbs,
Broken hope, broken dreams,
Here death is the most familiar entity,
This is the land of curse,
Danger lies on every step,
It may open his diabolic mouth,
To swallow up your limbs,
O little children, stay away from this land,
Under it the vampire of Death is sleeping,
Who has taken many lives,
But his hunger is not satisfied,
One more step and he will wake up,
To pounce upon you,
He is the nurseling of the bigger vampires,
Whose self-interests have brought the world
On the verge of disaster.

Waiting For Magic
kiss me baby i'm snowwhite
sleeping in a coffin
waiting for you/waiting for magic
baby i'm snowwhite
sleeping in a coffin
waiting for you/waiting for magic
a man of the world but lost in a dream
you look at something from a different angle
but i exist i'm waiting for you
in a coffin made of glass
kiss me baby i'm attractive
baby get to know me
show who you are
give me that magic
baby i'm eternal
lying in a coffin
waiting for you
in your dream a girl is dancing
close to you (that girl is me)
once a witch made her sleep
but a prince will wake her up it's you
kiss me baby...
in the tale is the place to find her
reach out to get to know her
it means so much to me
the meaning of the book
o kiss me baby wake me up
o kiss me baby wake me up
join in the story of the fairytale
believe the dream you will not fail
o kiss me baby wake me up
kiss me baby...
waiting for magic it's what i do
waiting for magic for me and you to kiss me
baby wake me up
caught in a dream how lucky you are
you can see me i'm the girl behind you
so open your eyes and turn around
and watch me dancing join the fairytales
kiss me baby...
you cannot reach her on the planet
that the scientists want to call the earth
but if you use your imagination
you will see her
you will find her in your dreams
i see now shadows in my dreams
it is something so romantic
i can tell it's for real you'll see

Angel Called Love
I stroll pass the pinnacles of dreams
blinded by the moons radiant light
that shines down from the heaven
on us mortals below tonight.
I wander in the darkness
but feel no handicap
watching the star that guides me
across my field of dreams.
Heavenly arms stretch out to me
from the angel called love,
who beckons me to her arms tonight.
Within I will find there the warmth
until the first rays of morning light
shine through the bedroom window
and I again must take flight.

A Poem from Transatlantic
Stretch sea
Stretch away sea and land
We are following thee
Thy lead is dangerous
And glorius
Stretch thyself and us
And make us live
To mount the ladder of horizons
Until we step upon the radiant plateau.

Were There Hope
I was never in a league of noble gentlemen
To whom she'd cast polite and flitting smiles,
Only distant hope and dying dreams for me!
Or perhaps descent into a game of wiles
To give a chance of sipping wine on heady nights
With her angelic presence to declare;
Above, an aura playing out hypnotic hues,
And I in awe of blonde cascades of hair.
But no! my tiring soul is sinking in a mire
To haunt me for an age and evermore, for
How could I expect to hold her silken hand
When I am but a soulless ghost of yore?

In the land of peace,
In the land of care,
In the land of hope,

In the land of love;
And like the muse of your sweet songs so heard afar!
But Urhan will like to meet you as well.

The Clock
Far away is one who now is sleeping
In the same world and the same darkness,
But not in my keeping.
Oh no, my arms could never stretch so far
And my hands trembling with tenderness
Cannot hope to caress
Her limbs, save by remembering what they arc.
Oh no, my words must never reach her ears
That lie so white against her sombre hair,
No, no, she must not hear
My voice that has no happiness to bring,
For she also is lost in a realm where
My cry and my despair
Are out of tune whatever song they sing.
Perhaps as I lie waking she is dreaming,
But not of me, for dreams are not so kind;
While my eyes arc brimming
With images of things that might have been,
And my lips for a prayer for her peace of mind
That, early, she may find
A love more delicate and more serene.
And all my body prays her to forget
One who long cared for her too bitterly,
One who is in her debt
For the clock of suffering that kept, twelve years
The hours of absence and futility,
Who could love utterly
Beyond the meaning of these words and tears.

To The Land
To the land of bribes,
To the land of telephones,
To the land of corruptions,
To the land of trains,
To the land of shops,
To the land of thieves,
To the land of connections,
To the land of drugs,
To the land of trucks,
To the land of cats,
To the land of Banks,
To the land of dogs, To the land of footballers,
To the land of dragons,
To the land of hope,
To the land of ice-cream,
To the land of potatoes,
To the land of chocolates,
To the land of tomatoes,
To the land of apples,
To the land of coffee,
To the land of lights,
To the land of ships,
To the land of birds,
To the land of tigers,
To the land of carpets,
To the land of pillows,
To the land of lions,
TO the land of toys,
To the land of horses,
To the land of beds,
To the land of roses,
To the land of love,
To the land of passion,
To the land of romance;

Dancing on Starlight
The magnificent watchers
In the sky
Pure white
Like angels
Heavenly angels watching
As we gaze
As we wonder at the awesomeness
The vastness
We create
We create dreams
Love
Hope
Dreams of love
Love of hope
Hope that dreams come true
The benevolent orb
So bright
So serene
Guarding the watchers
The watchers that protect us
Our guardians
As we gaze
As we wonder at our guardians
Our protectors
We create
We create dreams
Love
Hope
Dreams of love
Love of hope
Hope that the dreams come true
If only we could dance
Dance upon the starlight
Dance among our keepers
This would surely be bliss
As we create
We create our dreams
Of love
And hope
Dreaming of love
Loving hope
Hoping that dreams come true
You create
You fill my dreams
With love
With hope
I dream of your love
Love the hope you give
And wish my dreams to reality

Tell Me That Hope Called
Tell Me That Hope Called
by Alex Lewis
Tell me that Hope called.
Let me know that He rang.
If He didn't, I'd be quite appalled.
I might cry like a swallow sang.
I need a glimpse of peace.
I need a glimpse of light.
Can't you see this is my caprice?
Hope called! (I hope I'm right)
I'm desperate for Hope!
I think I need Him now.
Don't tell me 'no! ' Don't tell me 'nope! '
Tell me 'yes! ' or I'll turn foul!
For if He didn't call,
I might loose this day.
Hope makes me short. Hope makes me tall.
Without hope, before defeat I'll lay

The Flaw
I remembered last night.
I told the child
that that was not blood
on our friend's body,
only red flower petals
all wet from the rains,
and to be quiet,
or we would wake him up
and ruin the special dreams
that come from sleeping
under red flower petals.
There is a flaw in the face of man
called war
that begs the question:
does the memory of the dead
hold up the living?
Perhaps sleeping
under red flower petals
will cause me to forget about it.

When hope is all you've got
you took everything from me
everything you could take, you took it off
but you forgot to take something from me
my hope! you can't take it from me
cos you don't even know i have it
but yes, i do
my hope never dies
my soul may be naked under the bridge
but my hope shines so bright
in such a powerfull way no one can destruct
when hope is all you've got
you can reach the stars
you can lye on the grass
and forgot about all the lies
you can dream your dreams become real
in the end,
you may have not reached a thing
but you still have something
you still have hope
even in the hardest moments in your life
when you think everyone's gone
when everything disappeared
and you think you are all alone
you still have hope
in that place where there was a heart before
and now there'r just an empty hole
when hope is all you've got
you can reach the stars
you can lye on the grass
and forgot about all the lies
you can dream your dreams are real

Hope...?
Hope...
Hope is to wait
Waiting for anything to make the day
Waiting for sunrise or night
Waiting for the tears to dry
Waiting for that telephone call
Waiting for the path to end
Waiting for the struggles to past
Hope...
Hope is to keep on dreaming
Dreaming of prince charming
Dreaming of the perfect life
Dreaming of Utopia
Dreaming of chance to escape
Hope...
Hope is determination
Determined to reach the goal
Determined to make the dreams come true
Determined to prove everybody wrong
Determined to push away the nos and answer with a yes
Determined to reach that 100%
But that is what i only believe
What do you see in Hope....

The Land
The Land
He stood tall against the land
he called his home.
The land that could feed him
when hunger gripped him.
Shelter him in times
of coming storms.
For his part in this concept,
he was to look after Mother Earth.
It gave him food and shelter
and he would never scar it.
It was not his land to own
as he would a pair of boots.
New strangers came
and called the land their own,
but they did not own it.
The land was there for all to share,
and if they looked after it,
the land would be there
for every tomorrow’s sun.

America The Melting Pot Land
Their fruits proud and confident with their knowledge of modern technology but,
historically sleeping. For some call America "The Heaven on Earth." This simply means, "As there are many
different ways of dying to go to heaven and so there are many different ways of entering
the United States of America. Since there are no differences in heaven between those
who died by road accidents and those who died in the Titanic, And so there are no
differences in America between their fruits, those with U.S. visas, those in stowaway
ships, those jumping over the fence or even bush roads. like heaven or one like America." For some call America "The Land of Dreams." But in their restless sleep with only one
hour to sleep and go back to work, their nightmare dreams are "evictions, Insurance
Bills, Car notes, Tax bills, a dream no longer at ease - "The Bills." Yet some call America "The Land of Opportunities." Indeed what wonderful
opportunities in the K.F.C. restaurants, Roy Rogers, Wendy's, McDonald's, the Great
Merrymaids Cleaning Companies. And what a smile the CVS drug store has for selling
Bengay Balsam, oops sleeping on a backache the next morning, a smile and everything is
fine. As a poet I am reminding their historically sleeping fruits that this land, this beloved
country, this portion of God's created earth, "America the Melting Pot Land." America the melting pot land is the only land on Earth folks flung and scattered from all
over the world with different backgrounds, colors, races, and languages and melted, and
blended, themselves never to be recognized. Although sometimes their zig zag tongues make their fruits ask them - Where are you
from? - In this melting pot land "America," only God could save their proud fruits with
whom they melted and blended. Thus violence has no color or race in this melting pot
land. I counted my blessing as ninth grade school drop out to be melting and blending myself
with intellectual poets in this melting pot land, "The United States of America."

A Dream For Us
Astley/roberts
Lately Ive been sleeping
Far too long in bed
Ive been dreaming of you lover
Oh the things inside my head
I dont want to wake up
Im scared to break the spell
Oh Im sleeping like a baby
I hope you sleep so well
You know Im hoping, hoping
(bridge)
I know theres a dream for us
I know theres a dream for us
I know theres a dream for us,
Been on our minds
I know theres a dream for us
I know theres a dream for us
I know theres a dream for us,
Were gonna find
(chorus)
I know theres a dream for us
I believe its true
In a word, love you
And Im hoping our dream comes true
You know Im hoping, hoping
Miracles and moonbeams, wishes on a star
These are things I dream of, I know it sounds bizarre
I see familiar faces, or is it dj vu
The one recurring vision
Is a dream I have of you
You know Im hoping, hoping
(repeat bridge)
Come on now baby
(repeat chorus)
When you find someone you find someone you love
You know you cant believe it
When you find someone you know you cant deceive it
Your love takes you high
I know theres a dream for us
Im sure theres a dreams for us
(repeat chorus)

Never Land
I love the ease I can take
In this lovely wonderland
I have called my dreams,
My dreams hide this place.
Never be in this one land,
The seas complain of who writes,
The man so bold causes the water to fall
And achieve a waterfall.
We achieve our happiness
By coming here
To avoid the slaughter.
One day we arrive and respire
In the Never Land.

Susanna
Life is like being hungry in a land called Hungary!
And life is like eating turkey in a land called Turkey;
But my love will always be with you,
And like the red roses planted in the land of peace and joy.
Where can you hide without love?
And like someone drinking beer in a land called Beer!
So, act honourably and truthfully towards me my love;
For you are called Susanna!
