Master, Or Slave?

All men were created to be free
But some have chosen another way
Life choices were made into slavery
That ebbed their humanity away.

A man is a slave to what mastered him,
Alcohol, drugs, gambling and such.
Greed, pleasure, and every evil whim
Yes, the tendrils of Sin can grip so much.

Man takes the drugs in his own hand
And with his own mouth, he will then swallow.
Man takes the guns, pulls the triggers and then
Does the killing, the murders he sows.

Man, he created those nuclear weapons
Surely for the purposes of making war
For Hatred and Strife has mastered him on
And his Sin has gone so very, very far.

Though Man was given all dominion
Over the Earth and all living things
He has managed to reap sheer destruction
And the Cause and Effect now is coming.

Poverty and famine are man-made
Through corruption, neglect, and pollution
The Earth has succumbed and its womb forbade
The harvest of food for our consumption.

Pride is the other master that holds
Man will never acknowledge his need
For the only God Whose power can mold
Man back to his image, a master...His Seed.

'When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. What benefit did you reap at the time...Those things result in death! '
Romans 6: 21

'For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.'
Romans 6: 23

Free Will

Created in God's likeness
But distinct because of free will
Men were made for goodness
But some choose evil still.

God did not create abortion,
Terrorism, drugs, perversion
Homosexuality, or rebellion-
Nuclear bombs of destruction!

God did not create the famine
The climate changes and tsunami
These were effects that is seen
By man's greed and idolatry

To blame God for everything
Is to conclude that all men are robots
No brains and are not thinking
An easy option, but surely not.

From Cain, sin had gone this far
We're capable of shedding blood
Of hatred, murders and ugly war
All these- if we do not have God.

Free will is our own decision
For all men were born to be free
We can chose to sign our destruction
Or we can live this life in Victory.

Now choose.

'Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, SIN is crouching at your door; it desires to have you BUT YOU MUST MASTER IT.'

Over Death He Had Victory

He took my fears away
Restored my soul with peace
And each day as I pray
I give Him thanks for these.

So great His Loving Mercy
And flowing His forgiveness
Over Death He had victory
To lead us all to holiness.

There's no more fear
For those who come to know
The God Who holds us dear
And gave His Son to show

Hearts of men are bitter
But Jesus does the healing
There is life here and after
That is where I will be going.

Many are lost and fallen
But those who came to believe
In Christ we are forgiven
Forever in Him we live!

Forgiven

Yes, I was a transgressor
And I have broken all nine
Except the morbid one on murder
For I cannot stand the sight of blood
But then again, I did, for hate was mine
In evil thoughts and fiery rage
Enough to swallow my foe alive.

If looks could kill I've murdered many
My cutting words had ruined many lives
My Pride, the very sin of Lucifer
And my Greed had eaten all but me.
The seething hate never forgave
The bitterness was overwhelming
And I blamed God for everything.

But I was at the end of my rope
In darkness of soul I anguished
The torment so great there was no Hope
Like a snake I recoiled to perish
Yet He looked at me and took me back
Touched my empty life with Love
No one told me how great He is
Yes, God had found me in my abyss.

One Is In Control

It is The Lord, not you or me, Who is in control of our destiny,
Man may think he’s in control, but it’s still God Who’s over all;
God alone set all things in place, and we’re here by His Grace,
And in control of everything, is Jesus Christ, The Eternal King.

It is God, not man my friend, having no beginning and no end,
You and I began on this earth, born as mortals by natural birth,
Created by God, out of the dust, it’s God, that man must trust,
But, if God you choose to spurn, back to dust you shall return.

God does not depend upon man, to continue His Eternal Plan,
But, man must depend on Him, not upon man’s Godless whim;
As men survey times down here, Christ’s return is drawing near,
When God judges every nation, as written in Christ’s Revelation.

He, who created each one of us, The Eternal God, Christ Jesus,
Creator of all the life men see, directs the future of you and me,
Those who think they stand tall, in His eyes they are quite small,
And even lesser, when they doubt, what God’s Truth is all about.

Today by many God is ignored; still, Jesus Christ alone is Lord,
And Jehovah God’s Eternal Son, soon shall Rule over everyone,
Ruling with Power and Authority, earthly leaders have yet to see,
Dictating every man’s destiny, not only for now, but for Eternity.

The Grim Reaper

The Grim Reaper will for sure, gather men who deny The Lord,
He will soon come without delay, taking unbelieving men away.
They’ll be taken and put aside, for it was The Lord, they denied.
Separated per their own desire; to be cast into the Lake of Fire.

Men shall reap what they sow; this is something all men know.
Deny God by human deduction, you will reap eternal destruction.
If you choose to accept The Lord, you will reap Eternal Reward.
The end result you will receive, for God is one you can’t deceive.

The Lord will not force your hand, but will help you to understand,
That Christ, who died upon a tree, is coming back for you and me.
First it’ll be to the clouds above, for those who received His Love.
Then down to the earth in victory, over those who refused to see.

But there is still an open door, and time to accept Christ as Lord.
And any time in any season, God with you, would like to reason,
That through His Only Son, your victory over sin has been won.
And that through Jesus Christ, you friend can have the gift of life.

Although I was once deceived, God’s Spirit spoke and I believed.
God then gave me eyes to see, now in Christ I will reap Eternity.
God wants no one to perish, and His Son He gave us to cherish.
But if you want not to believe, the Grim Reaper is who you’ll see.

The True Life

Those who trust in lying vanities
Forsake the grace that could be theirs
They try to earn what's freely given
The Gift to be as Heaven's heirs.

Novenas, masses, sacraments -
Idols mute and sadly worthless
Arrayed to be Deception's garment
These fail to give man holiness.

The Gift of Life came from the Cross
It is received by Faith and Trust
The LORD Christ Jesus paid the Cost
Only though Him, believe we must.

'For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus.'

Over All

The Lord Jesus is over everything, as The Sovereign and Eternal King,
He is Creator and Sustainer of all, that moves upon this terrestrial ball.
And all around it He has dispersed, His Light throughout this universe,
The many lights displaying His Majesty, this as far as any eye can see,
Everything created for His pleasure, greater than anyone can measure.

All for His pleasure without any end; all that the eye can see my friend.
All upon the earth was made by Him, everything that is, except our sin,
However, sin did come through, one God created, before me and you.
Created in God’s Heavenly place, but, in pride, Lucifer fell from Grace,
Then was cast down to this earthly sod, as that Eternal Enemy of God.

With this, from God, came a curse, upon His creation and all the earth,
Friend, upon this earth, men would fall, into sin, those great and small,
But, God would send reconciliation, to the earth through His Salvation,
Giving sinful man the eternal victory, over sin and God’s eternal enemy,
Redeeming in Christ, all fallen men, and the earth that was condemned.

The Eternal God and our Creator, came down to earth to be our Savior,
He became poor, for you and me, when He left those riches of Eternity,
Emptying himself of all but love, Christ left His Throne in Heaven above.
Coming down, He still was God, but, now as a man on this earthly sod,
But, Christ came to earth, not to live, for His own life, He came to give.

A Writer's Prayer

In my nothingness, be glorified
For everything I have all come from You,

Remove the dross and foolish pride
With grace, bless everything I do.

Guide my writing with Your Light
Your Words of Truth inspire me,

May all that comes from pen be right
That all men come to see.

Bless the words with Your great Power
A wondrous working from above,

For You, oh God, made me a writer
Declare the hope of Your Mercy and Love!

turning a man from the snares of death.'

Blessings Needed

Narrow roads and days with rain
Hone the man through life's seasons
Facing failures and some pain -
There's need for purpose and some reason.

But questions plague the righteous life
That lived at best, the Golden Rule,
For constant suffering and endless strife
Can break the back of the strongest mule.

Seems those who break the laws and such
Live life in velvet cushion, free!
Drink, make merry, and have so much
While the Good don't seem to have any.

Child, 'set your sights on things above'
And not on earthly things, ' t'was said-
But I was hoping the Lord above
Will bless me a little before I was dead.

Today... 'Christ Jesus Our Lord

Nothing shall separate us from the love of God
for we are secure in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Love everlasting He have made known to us
when He came to earth and died upon the cross.

'The wages of sin is death' we clearly hear
but Christ Jesus our Lord has removed the fear.
The gift of God is eternal life in Christ
accomplished by His eternal sacrifice.

There is no condemnation for those in Christ
for He has fully paid our sins awful price.
Crying 'Father forgive' in His dying breath
He set us free from the law of sin and death.

No height or depth or anything in creation
can separate us from this great salvation.
The love that is found in Christ Jesus our Lord
has justified us and made us right with God.

A Better Fix

Today's young people want a quick fix
In those drugs and drinks that they can get
And so in much trouble they get to mix
With their lives destroyed, filled with regret.

But another alternative is there for you
It's just waiting for your daily taking
A very good fix it can assure you
And make you productive in your living.

God's Word is power for success
And from it you must not depart
Kept in your life, it will surely bless
Your soul, and Peace will fill your heart.

Unload your baggage as it' s getting late
In Life, when you fix your human eyes
On Jesus the Perfecter of your faith
You'll run with strength and be very wise.

'The fear of the Lord leads to life,
Then one rests content, untouched by trouble.'

Proverbs 19: 23

but a companion of fools suffers harm.'

And mountains slide to bury
And all don't know just where to go
When Death's near you and me.

And land breaks open wide
In Him we find there is no fearing
The Lord our God is by our side.

Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth (BIBLE)

Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth

Seeds grow naturally when watered,
So also does sin and the thoughts of it.
The Word of God cannot be altered
By reading it one gains eternal profit.

When on a journey, one needs sight
Or else there's the danger to stumble
One cannot see without adequate light
And to go the Right Way, he's not able.

Thus in Life one needs God's Word
It's the Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth
All Wisdom, Peace, and Comfort it accords
Makes one so rich his light shines forth.

And know that God will not be mocked
A man shall reap all that he sows
Man's words are weighed for what it lacked
For God does hear and knows.

Jesus Our Victory

Search no more in human wisdom
Nor live in wasted emptiness
For when to Jesus you would come
In Him alone, is Happiness.

His Love and Mercy you'll receive
The gift He paid for on the Cross
Just call to Him, in faith believe
He heals your pain, your hurts, your loss.

Yes, He alone rose from the dead
In Power showed His Victory
On death, He is the Living Bread
The One Who reigns through eternity!

He comes to all who would receive Him
His Gift of Life, Salvation free
Light of the world in darkness dim
Prince of Peace, our Jubilee!

'Then Jesus declared, 'I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me will never go hungry, and he who believes in Me will never be thirsty.'
(John 6: 35)

'I am the Light of the World.' (John 9: 5b)

'Jesus said to her, 'I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies...' (John 11: 25)

A Map For The Seeker

In Proverbs lie the map of life
That guides the humble in his ways
Protects him from the useless strife
And lights his path through all his days.

A wealth of treasure for the wise
Gems of golden understanding
A blessed feast for the seeking eyes
No knowledge deeper there for taking.

Absorb its lessons and daily feed
Your mind and heart with eternal food
Plant there the Truth of God's own Seed
And all your life, your fruit will be Good.

We do not live on bread alone
Man's life is not just mere possessions,
For human wisdom is frail on its own
And only in God can we find Salvation.

'Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.'

Redemption In Christ

What is redemption
and what does it mean?
What is redemption
in the Lord Jesus Christ?

Redemption is a symbolic
literal issue relating to slavery.
A concept of an entire humanity
being enslaved in a state of sin.

Redemption is an English
translation of the Greek word
‘agorazo’ which means 'to
purchase in the market place.'

This is a Biblical reference to the act
of buying a slave in the market place.
In a Christian context redemption
means we were enslaved in our sin;

until we accept salvation in Jesus Christ
who through his voluntary sacrificial death;
purchased believers in slavery in sin to set
free from sin bondage in a heavenly hope.

Our redemption is ‘exagorazo’.
Moving from life in bound flesh
to life reborn; born again in spirit.
We moved from life cast in death
to slain death of life bound in sin.
Christ freed us from burden bondage
of law to freedom a new life in him.

Our redemption is ‘lutroo’.
which means 'to obtain release
by the payment of a price.'
Paid price in Christianity
Christ's precious given blood
obtaining our release from sin.

Our redemption is ‘agorazo ’
‘exagorazo’ ‘lutroo’ in Christ.

Why was this redemption necessary?

The answer is written at Romans 3: 23-24.
“For all have sinned and fall short
of the glory of God, and are justified
freely by his grace through the
redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”

Why is redemption through Christ?
God set Jesus forth as an offering for sin
through faith in his blood sacrificial death.

What does this ransom sacrifice prove about God?
This vindicated God’s righteousness
in forgiving sins that occurred in the past;
passed over with neither punishment
nor remission; God exercised forbearance;

exhibits righteousness in the present
age; proving his own righteousness
while declaring righteous all people
who have exercised faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 3: 25-26.

Not Ours To Give

For you, I would give the world, a phrase that many people herald,
But, earth is not ours to give, but, just a place that we mortals live.
Heaven’s not a place to assume; only in Christ can we get a room,
A room prepared by God’s Son, who created upon earth everyone.

All has been made by God alone, through the power of His Throne.
By Him all were given breath, and by His Decree, all will face death.
Some may say all on this earth, are in God’s eyes, the same worth,
Regarding Creation, this is true, but, all men need to be born anew.

Some say we are all of God’s Family, but, that is closer to fantasy,
Yes, we were all created by Him, but, then the Devil had entered in,
Deceiving the first man and wife, he brought choice into man’s life,
That choice that still remains today, whatever one may think or say.

All perfection God created in man, was tainted by Satan’s evil plan,
From God man was now separated, as sin by Satan is perpetuated,
Bringing us to the Cross of Christ, God’s only way into Eternal Life,
The way to Heaven for all of us, is when in Christ we place our trust.

Though we’re all created by God, we’re Satan’s children on this sod,
Until we’re born in the Spirit above, in the choice of Calvary’s blood.
As earth is not ours to give, without Christ, you will not eternally live,
Instead of breathing Heavenly breath, you’ll surely see eternal death.

It’s Not About Us

It’s not about me or about you, but, about God, Who sees us through,
Through all the days and times in life, through the joy and all the strife,
For it was The Lord Who created us, in His own image, from only dust,
Then God breathed life into man, and given purpose by His command.

We were created for God’s pleasure, created to be His eternal treasure,
Created for Pure Fellowship with Him, until Satan introduced man’s sin,
But, that fellowship, God repealed, as sin, through Satan was revealed,
As the serpent lied to Adam’s wife, and turned their Paradise into strife.

Today, that fellowship is restored, through God’s Son, Christ, The Lord,
Then He uses believers in this life, to draw others, back to Jesus Christ.
When through a trial or tribulation, we can point men to God’s Salvation,
To that bloody cross of Calvary, where The Savior died for you and me.

And now, in this life, we die for Him, Christ, Who had died for all our sin,
To live our new earthly life for God, lead by Jesus Christ’s staff and rod,
When something becomes a bother, we are here for our Heavenly Father,
As part of our Lord’s purpose and plan, to be God’s Light for every man.

This life which we live is not about us, but, about God, in whom we trust,
About The Lord God and Creator, Who sent to all men a Blessed Savior,
Christ is the reason life’s worth living, as through all, He keeps on giving,
When we live our life in God’s Will, with a greater purpose for us to fulfill.

Careless intent reaps much discord
And many a time, it harvests offense

A bitter root grows from our words

Man's words be weighed the Good it lacked

Falling Signs For Nations

Browsing through history
Observations reveal
A nation bound for depravity
Loses its political will

In degeneration of morals
In language erosion
Departing from the spiritual
And absence of direction

Engrossed in much hatred
Breeding violence
Not of peace instead
But discouraged citizens.

Focusing on wars
Investing in costly weapons
Decline is not very far
Power blinds a nation.

History has an ugly way
For itself to be repeating
These visible signs today
Show many countries falling.

'The field of doom bears death as its harvest.'
