The darkness of my existance is blinding,
In the distance fireflies dance amidst the dark,
A flickering light in the bleakness of the abyss,
Lighting up the nothing that I have become,
Yet they are not fireflies but the lanterns of others,
They light up the blackness of my horizon,
Calling to me through the darkness,
When shall the lantern I seek set aflame my heart?
I know not what I seek for I am empty,
I have traveled decades throughout this life,
Searching for something others seem to find so easily,
Searching... Yet finding nothing...

The Duality Of Darkness And Light
If I search and seek inside my mind
The deeper I look the more I find
Exists a spiritual duality of darkness and light
My soul mirrors the world, the day and the night
In the darkness I seek the light to guide
From the sunlight I seek a shadow to hide
The dark is my shield, the light is my blade
They guide and protect me, the light and the shade
They are the sides of coin, opposed yet part of the same
They the sides of a blade, one cold one aflame
This is the spiritual duality of darkness and light
The immortal struggle of the day and the night

Peace In The Light
Like Moths to a flame, trying to see,
The poor in spirit, seek to break free,
To avoid the abyss,
Search with all their might,
Where will they find the Light?
Once seen, always mean,
Must find a way to dull the bright,
How can we destroy the Light?
Those that love draw them nearer,
The door to inner Light is clearer,
To live life to the full, it is dear,
No way to live in fear,

Now It's More Than Seven
So maybe I thought that I could be satisfied
I assure you, I tried
But my heart would not corporate
Even though I have yet to even recuperate
From old scar and old pain
My heart still throws itself every which way
I seek a peace I cannot attain
Because the evil of my heart is becoming my master this day
It tries to lead my life and my soul
It tries to lead me again as a whole
Because giving into darkness is natural
Because there's a piece of hell
In the innermost parts, locked away, locked- but not secure
Locked because there's no cure
Striving for light is what is learned
Striving for light should have turned
My darkness into that light
But instead I'm overtaken by more darkness- blackness of night
Darkness, that can be felt, darkness that can speak
I've found the opposite of what I seek
And now it's more than seven
And I feel farther from heaven
Now I've almost lost count
I no longer know that amount
My heart is like a mirror
First darkened and filled with horror
And then shattered into pieces
And each piece only a fraction of who I once was, if that was anything

Shine Your Light
You've told me,
many times before,
that you prefer living,
in a world of darkness.
But tell me this,
when looking into darkness,
don't you see the smallest light,
in the distance?
Can't you see,
a little light,
that will shine through,
any darkness?
But yet you still say,
dark is better than light,
so are you saying that,
you too are a dark person?
No that can't be so,
when I think of you,
the last thing I'd think of,
would be dark.
You have so much light within,
but yet you've decided to live,
where no light can get in,
but is suffocated by dark.
You seem so strong inside,
but yet to everyone you hide,
except to me when you show me,
the real light within.
If you are full,
of such strong light,
then why do you tell everyone,

What Is Love
Is love like an autumn leave that floats upon the breeze?
Lands once or twice and stays for but a moment.
Are loves fleeting thoughts glimpses of what might be?
Many paths to choose but which is the one?
Do they all lead to the same beautiful end?
Darkness and light, the abyss dismal and dank.
Lift thyself up and reach for the heavens.
But if love does float and land and stays a while.
What then? Could it last a lifetime? Or perhaps two?
Does the soul love, feel and remember after each rebirth?
Perhaps loves flame burns for an eternity.
Or maybe the burning of the light creates a dark desire.
Do the twain remain eternal throughout existance?
Seeking out the other whatever the price.
Walk through the tunnel of light together.
And meet on the far side... A love that shall never die...

What went wrong? ...
As I wander through this life,
searching for something meaningful.
Only to see it slip from my grasp,
And vanish down lifes waterfall...
And I fall deeper into the abyss,
All of my secrets fade to nothing.
This well of passion remains untapped,
All of my hopes concealled in darkness...
Wildly I lash out at this dark night,
Fighting the demons that live within.
For I have raged war upon my own soul,
In effort to silence the cries of desperation...

Whisps of darkness surrond the soul

I am but an Angel...
I am but a twinkling star in your life of dreams,
In your eyes I stare into a beauty so extreme.
My heart it has taken flight upon this whipping wind,
I hear the calling of your soul something must begin...
Lost amidst a monsoon, raindrops falling from above,
I am incomplete and empty I need somone to love.
I am but a whisper hear me calling out your name,
