Pretty Vision
I saw a vision
Little boy
You covered up your own insights
But I may have held your hand
Or seen the ghost you tried to fight
Oh a vision
Little boy
You strayed down to find the clowns
Oh and when I wrote these lines for you
Not, not one of them was found
Blame the circus and the clowns
Before you blame yourself
Cause when your greatest needs go unforgiven
And your gifts go unreceived
Little boy
Man of need
Who could know that the road would fall
Not me not one of us
That surrounds your golden walls
So now blame the circus and the clowns
Before you blame yourself
Cause all your greatest needs go unforgiven
All your gifts go unreceived
Who could know of the fall
Who could slow the speed
Who could hold your hand
We all laughed and thought you were so free
Vision boy
Man of need
Oh do the monkeys get you down
Oh they promise you the dance of life
Complete with laughters crown
Little boy
Man of need
Did you find the freak show and a crowd
I said cut the canvas on the tent
Oh we were all innocent
Blame the circus and the clowns
Before you blame yourself
When your greatest needs go unforgiven
And your gifts go unreceived
Oh your greatest needs go unforgiven
And your gifts they go unreceived
Little boy
Man of need

The Greatest Gift
When Christmas shopping is done,
wrapped gifts lie ‘neith a tree
sparkling bright with tinsel and light
for everyone to see.
Each gift has been selected
with thoughtfulness and care.
Toys and such will mean so much
like all the gifts we bear.
But let us keep within our heart
the much greater gift than these.
One from above, with God's great love
should bring us to our knees.
A gift of birth to all on Earth.
A gift that's far from small.
To everyone, He gave His Son…
The greatest gift of all.

Unanswered Prayers
Just the other night a hometown football game
My wife and I ran into my old high school flame
And as I introduced them the past came back to me
And I couldnt help but think of the way things used to be.
She was the one that Id wanted for all times
And each night Id spend prayin that God would make her mine
And if hed only grant me this wish I wished back then
Id never ask for anything again.
(chorus)
Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers
Remember when youre talkin to the man upstairs
That just because he doesnt answer doesnt mean he dont care
Some of gods greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.
She wasnt quite the angel that I remembered in my dreams
And I could tell that time had changed me
Inn her eyes too it seemed
We tried to talk about the old days
There wasnt much we could recall
I guess the lord knows what hes doin after all.
And as she walked away and I looked at my wife
And then and there I thankedd the good lord
For the gifts in my life.
*chorus*
Some of gods greatest gifts are all too often unanswered...
Some of gods greatest gifts are unanswered prayers

If There Is Music There
If there is music there
Ill have to go
Never been anything in my life that I wanted more
This is my greatest fear
That Im loosing you my dear
Its more than I want to give
But if there is music there
If there is music there
Ill have to know
Never met anyone who could take music out of my soul
Theres something deep inside
That I no longer want to hide
My love you would never share
If there is music there
Its not my fault
Ive done no wrong
Its something that youve always known
I tried to tell you all along
It seems that heaven has a plan
An extraordinary plan
A reason for my soul
For my soul
If there music there
Ill have to go
Never found anyone who could take music out of my soul
This is my greatest fear
That Im loosing you my dear
Its more than I want to give
Its more than my heart can bear
I could be losing you
If there music there
Spoken:
Im so sorry, honey
Ive always loved you
I do love you
But I just have to go

The Gifts of Life and Pollution
Nature's gifts are sunny beaches,
Nature's gifts are rocky mountains,
Nature's gifts are vast oceans,
Nature's gifts are the tranquil colors in the rainbow,
Nature's gifts are rain forests,
Nature's gift is life.
Our gifts are oceans filled with toxins,
Our gifts are global warming,
Our gifts are deserted forests,
Our gifts are killed animals,
Our gifts are serious diseases,
Our gift is pollution.

Three Very Special Gifts
three magi with three symbolic gifts
gave chase to a bright star in the east
bringing special gifts of gold, myrrh, and frankincense
all to a newborn king
who became high priest
oh yes! these magi had very good sense!
this newborn king gave the angels a reason to sing
the world a reason to rejoice
then the exclamation of a great voice-
this is my beloved son, in whom i am well pleased! ! !
for this priest- i will go to my knees
and give my soul's devotion-
for the gifts of peace
love
and eternal salvation!

The Gift
His spirit is His special gift,
He gives to you and me.
When you receive and embrace it,
All His other gifts you'll see.
But you have to seek to find it,
You won't receive if you don't ask.
Then you will then see through spiritual eyes,
Not through your man made mask.
There are people in this world,
You may like or you may not.
Each have their gifts to offer
But God's gifts just can't be bought.
So often we seek man made gifts,
That benefit ourselves.
But once we get what we want,
We store it on our shelves.
And as they sit and gather dust,
We look for our next fix.
We take our eyes off the real prize,
It's one of Satan's greatest tricks.
So when your old, and your life is done,
Do you think that you will say?
I'm happy I made a life of wealth,
And pushed those I loved away.
So listen to this simple truth,
And see what life's about.
It will take a great leap of faith,
But you'll love how it turns out.

The Greatest
[Intro]
(The the, the the, the the, the the)
Don't throw no roses on my grave, boo
That's not a soldier, it's more like an angel
You got no where to run, no one to pray to
Jesus and Moses ain't comin' to save you
(The greatest, the the the greatest)
I flow like a butterfly, I sting like a hornet
They won't let me have it
Not even if no one else want it
And if I try to take it
They wanna break me down and strip me naked
They write a brand new rule and break it
They lie, they cheat, they steal, they fake it
But I'mma make it, Lord I can take it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Cut the drama boy, save it for your mama
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
I can't sweat it, know I got to get it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Without no doubt, my name will survive
(The greatest the the greatest man alive)
(The greatest man)
(The greatest, the the)
I'mma make it, Lord I can take it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Cut the drama boy, save it for your mama
I'm the (The gratest man alive)
I can't sweat it, I know I got to get it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Without no doubt, my name will survive
(The, the greatest man alive)
(The greatest, the the greatest man)
(The the, the greatest man alive)
(The, the the greatest, the the the greatest man)
(The greatest man alive)
I'mma make it, know that I can take it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Cut the drama boy, save it for your mama
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
I can't sweat it, I know I gotta get it
I'm the (The greatest man alive)
Without no doubt my name will survive
(The greatest man, the greatest man alive)
It only gets harder
It always seems so far away
The sky's getting darker
Another storm is on the way
(The the greatest, the the the greatest, the the)
Another storm is on the way
(The the the the greatest, the the greatest)
(The greatest man alive)

Christmas, Christmas
Whenever Christmas comes around
The people seem to be,
Full of love and brotherhood
as far as the eye can see.
Wouldn't it be much better
to act this way all year round
But Jesus is the reason
There's a Christmas.
Christmas, Christmas
Hear the angels sing.
He brought joy to the world
and salvation to all mankind.
Christmas cards and Christmas gifts
are everywhere in view.
Goodies and candy and stocking stuff,
the shoppers all wanting new.
They seem to miss just what it is
The greatest of all God's perfect gifts
It's Jesus, He's the reason
There's a Christmas.
Christmas, Christmas comes and goes
And with it the nations see
That there is a God that many know
Who gave them life eternally?
Wouldn't it be much better
if the whole world could know Him as He is?
It's Jesus, He's the reason
There's a Christmas

Did You Really Make Me, Me
Dear God,
You said you could take my doubts
I'm sorry I'm not filled with love an adoration right now
But this is what I think, I know you'd want me to be honest
So this is what I'm really wondering, so answer me
Dear God,
Did you really make me, me?
God you gave me eyes to see
God you gave me every hair on head
God you gave me life and now I'm not dead
You said you gave me all the gifts I had
For the longest time
I scorned these gifts saying I had none, not even this rhyme
But you're my loving Father, God you're my dad
But did you really make me me?
Dear God,
You gave me all of my gifts, so You gave me the gift to run
You gave me everything, so You gave me the motivation to run
Didn't you God?
Doesn't this mean that you gave me this desire?
I love to hike, I love each and every esplanade
Did you MAKE me to love them prior
Or did I learn to?
Did you make me with my desires, all of them, was that really You?
If it was then aren't you pleased when I run
Aren't you pleased when I do those things You made me for
Even if it makes my legs sore, my mind sore, whatever sore.
Aren't you pleased with me, pleased with your son?
Dear God,
Did You MAKE me with ALL my desires, everything I like to do
Do You bless my efforts with them too
I just don't understand why I like anything unless you made me that way
I just don't understand because what I really want to say
Right now is that I'm doubting
I'm thinking
That I gave myself these desires, but Father
Sorry to be a bother
But I cannot handle that conclusion
Tell me it's all an illusion
Tell me my desires ARE from YOU
Because if they're not, I don't know what I'd do
I'd question everything that I do
I might even start to question You too
I wouldn't know my purpose or if I should run
If I should spend hours in the sun
If I should play video games or eat ramen
If I should ride my bike
If I should go out and hike
This is way too much of a strain
I cannot bear this burden of worrying about what to do
So please tell me it's from You
Please tell me you made me to run God
God you said You can handle my doubts.... but I cant feel you right now
God I know you're there so I bow
But I'm doubting, tell me you made me Father.... Father....
Dear God,
Please promise me that you made me, me

You Are the Greatest
You are the greatest
My love you are the greatest
You make all things beautiful
To me your love is wonderful
Thou feedest me
When i am hungry
Giveth me waters
To quench my thirst
You put me first
Encourage me to be the best
You are the greatest
My love you are the greatest
You visited me
When i was in jail
You encouraged me to be
The head not the tail
You are the reason
I did not fail
You are the greatest
My love you are the greatest
You are my motivation
My source of power generation
Oh my savor
You are my heart desire
Truly you are my lover
May you live forever
You are the greatest
My love you are the greatest

Music is...
Music is expression...
Music is freedom...
Music is the song of life...

Music is peace...
Music is loud...
Music is calm...
Music is meaningful...
Music is sound...
Music is heart...
Music is soul...

0008 The Gift
Who does not wish to give the perfect gift
to those we love – to whom we have already
given the greatest gift we have – our heart?
To choose a visible and outward sign
of love whose meaning’s inward, spiritual?
But who would dare to challenge innocence
and ignorance in their demonic bond,
and break the spell of Christmas wish and hope
by telling children, that old Santa Claus
is but the God who gave their life to them -
dressed up in red and white and snowy beard;
and who, in needing nothing of himself,
would be delighted to receive their thanks
and nothing more; and who, we might believe
of one who has all gifts in his command,
might be obliged by those laws he himself
created, out of justice, equity,
to give them that which they themselves have made –
a life of gratitude for life itself –
a life of praise, where all the world is gift
beyond all human gifts?
What parents now
might give their children gold, myrrh, frankincense
with all their love; and teach them by this show
why Christmas gifts are godly metaphor?
Of course, no parents would dare break this spell;
you’ll laugh at me for this absurdity;
yet it might build a clear-eyed, praising race
who thought in metaphor; spoke poetry.

The Greatest Gift Of All (feat. Dolly Parton)
(John B. Jarvis)
Dawn is slowly breaking
Our friends have all gone home
You and I are waiting
For Santa Claus to come.
There's a present by the tree
Stockings on the wall
Knowing you're in love with me
Is the greatest gift of all.
The fire is slowly fading
Chill is in the air
All the gifts are waiting
For children everywhere.
Through the window I can see
Snow begin to fall
Knowing you're in love with me
Is the greatest gift of all.
Just before I go to sleep
I hear a church bell ring
Merry Christmas everyone
Is the song it sings.
So I pray a silent prayer
For creatures great and small
Peace on earth, good will to men
Is the greatest gift of all.
Peace on earth, good will to men
Is the greatest gift of all...

CHRISTmas or GIFTmas?
Jolly old St. Nicholas,
lean your ear this way.
There's something to be said
for the Santa role you play.
You bring happiness to children
with bikes, and dolls and toys,
and instill the Christmas spirit
into grown-up girls and boys.
But you know the greatest gift
isn't found upon your sled,
and it isn't all the sugar plumbs
that dance in children's heads.
It is not one brought by Dasher,
or by Donner, or by Dancer.
It came wrapped in swaddling clothing.
Even Santa knows the answer.
The greatest gift is Jesus Christ.
The Savior of the earth.
And Christmas is the special day
we celebrate His birth
Christ was born into the world
and taught us all He could.
He knows if we've been good or bad,
and hopes we'll all be good.
Santa, we'll enjoy the gifts
that on Christmas come our way
but it's not gifts, …It's Christ the Lord,
we celebrate this day!
