Commemoration
When first your glory shone upon my face
My body kindled to a mighty flame,
And burnt you yielding in my hot embrace
Until you swooned to love, breathing my name.
And wonder came and filled our night of sleep,
Like a new comet crimsoning the sky;
And stillness like the stillness of the deep
Suspended lay as an unuttered sigh.
I never again shall feel your warm heart flushed,
Panting with passion, naked unto mine,
Until the throbbing world around is hushed
To quiet worship at our scented shrine.
Nor will your glory seek my swarthy face,
To kindle and to change my jaded frame
Into a miracle of godlike grace,
Transfigured, bathed in your immortal flame.

Do Not The
do not the leaves love the tree
even as they fall...
and moths love the flame
into which they die?
and shadows in the night
love the stillness,
as they lay down to meet the dawn?
so love then is a series of deaths,
and each funeral has a face...
it is in the stillness when breath is taken,
that we learn to touch
with the eyes of body and soul!

Love A World Away
I sit here thinking day after day
about the love you give from a world away.
A love I can't touch, I can only see.
A love I can't hold, but it's sure holding me.
Holding my heart day after day,
craving your love from a world away.
Craving your kisses, your safe, warm embrace.
The touch of your hand caressing my face.
The touch of your body pressed hard against mine.
Making love together for the very first time.
Love and passion filling the night.
Being in your arms, nothing could feel so right.
Waking to see you in the bright morning's sun.
The smile on your face, it compares to none.
A smile so bright, filled with such love and respect
Reflecting a love I could never forget.
The love that you give from a world away
Has earned you my heart, and with you it can stay.

Stillness Of The Night
Midnight on the hill I heard the thunder fill
The stillness of the night
It hit me like a slap, youre never comin back
From the stillness of the night
It was never black or white, neither wrong or right
Like the shadow of a full moons light
I knew wed lost the track, when I heard the lightning crack
The stillness of the night
Chorus
In the stillness of the night
Thats when well make it right
We can stop the thunder till the light
In the stillness of the night
I know you think you hear, those voices in your ear
In the stillness of the night
But Ive tried to make it clear theres nothing left to fear
Just the stillness of the night
And if you listen hard you might find the reason for your fright
Just the wind is high tonight
And the danger we must face is the anger of this race
In the stillness of the night

Silent star
Stillness of the night
Hear my hushed words
Embrace your nature
Grant me sleep
A chance to dream
To forget my fears
To be free
In all ornate beauty
Quietly watching
Silent star
Stillness of the night
Gift me sleep
Watch over me

In The Stillness Of The Night
In the stillness of the night,
A faint cry for love is heard.
Echoing far into the distance,
Soaring higher than any bird.
In the stillness of the night,
Under the moonlight shining.
She hears his painful cry,
While alone she is dining.
She starts on a journey,
To seek out his heartfelt cry.
For if she ignores his plea,
He may slowly but surly die.
In the stillness of the night,
As she wanders on her way.
She must find this lost soul,
She can not turn away.
For she is lost as well,
Deep inside she also weeps.
Though she may not know it,
He wanders himself, her soul he seeks.
His cry for love gets louder,
Her cry as well echos out.
In the stillness of the night,
Together they wander about.
As they draw closer,
Their loneliness begins to fade.
For their journey is coming to an end,
From this love that has conveyed.
They come together at last,
Under the midnight sun.
In the stillness of the night,
Two young lovers have begun.

How does Love speak?
In the faint flush upon the tell-tale cheek,
And in the pallor that succeeds it; by
The quivering lid of an averted eye -
The smile that proves the parent of a sigh:
Thus doth Love speak.
How does Love speak?
By the uneven heart-throbs, and the freak
Of bounding pulses that stand still and ache
While new emotions, like strange barges, make
Along vein-channels their disturbing course,
Still as the dawn, and with the dawn's swift force:
Thus doth Love speak.
How does Love speak?
In the avoidance of that which we seek
The sudden silence and reserve when near;
The eye that glistens with an unshed tear;
The joy that seems the counterpart of fear,
As the alarmed heart leads in the breast,
And knows, and names, and greets its godlike guest:
Thus doth Love speak.
How does Love speak?
In the proud spirit suddenly grown meek,
The haughty heart grown humble; in the tender
And unnamed light that floods the world with splendour;
In the resemblance which the fond eyes trace
In all fair things to one beloved face;
In the shy touch of hands that thrill and tremble;
In looks and lips that can no more dissemble:
Thus doth Love speak.
How does Love speak?
In wild words that uttered seem so weak
They shrink ashamed to silence; in the fire
Glance strikes with glance, swift flashing high and higher,
Like lightnings that precede the mighty storm
In the deep, soulful stillness; in the warm,
Impassioned tide that sweeps thro' throbbing veins,
Between the shores of keen delights and pains;
In the embrace where madness melts in bliss,
And in the convulsive rapture of a kiss:
Thus doth Love speak.

God Of All Creation
I'm totally abandoned to You
I'm lost inside the rivers of Your love
I'm swept into the power of Your presence
Drawn toward the whisper of Your voice
Verse 2
I come to You in quiet adoration
And fall before Your feet You are my King
I'm living for the beauty of Your Presence
To behold the glory of Your face
CHORUS
Holy, Worthy, is the Lord
Heaven declares Your Rightousness
Oh God of All Creation
I worship You
Verse 2
CHORUS
Oh when You said 'seek Your face'
My heart said 'Your face I will seek' (2x)

Dead Poet
Who are you now?
By the same name?
By the same game?
Spark the same flame?
Shame.
Such a sweet girl all the same.
Go consume yourself at uni.
Uni, what a wonderful place
A frame to frame the endless shame.
But congratulations at the end all the same.
"your lame"
And yes I fell for your words, and your tongue, and your verse
Yes it hurt.
But now? Just disturbed is the word.
Unravel yourself, and wind your limbs round a naked flame
Get burnt.
Get burnt.
Get burnt again.
Don't gain, just play.
Just play in your new way.
You're nothing
You're the same.
It's a shame.

Candlelight
So many bees, who know so much
that only bees can tell,
gave their life’s devotion
to this single source of light;
silent whisper for your attention
to what it has to tell your sight,
before its substance burns, returns
into the upper air…
gently burns on altar, or scented in the bathroom’s grace;
or here in front of you, gentle hypnotist
for the wandering mind;
to which it has so much to tell..
tells of humility; gently burning
in a stable, before a birth;
tells of loving-kindness; gives itself,
yet asks for nothing but to be itself;
tells of worship: worship, first, of what the bees are;
and here in this honey-coloured form
is their own worship;
waxing silent in murmured devotion;
warming miraculously, into liquid wax;
only love can be so liquid;
only love can reach so far;
liquid, warmed into this present light:
the candle’s flame you know so well
yet cannot shape or hold;
already, candle hints to you
that there is that beyond all sense:
for round its light, air’s gently warmed:
drawing the flame itself into the invisible above
like the soul that’s yearning for its homeland;
and beyond, within, that air you cannot see
unless it moves some other thing,
it lights the space – space which is not
bathroom, altar; but all space;
candle tells you of all that;
draws the mind with steady, silent truth
to all creation in a single flame;
flame that asks for naught of you
but your attention; which it will reward
by telling you in stillness,
what you worship in yourself;
the light of self, that shines before all men
and glorifies its maker
like a gentle flame that cannot be put out.

Passion of Fire
My heart was started by a spark,
burst into flames.
Now I am like a lamp on a hill,
everyone sees me and my passion.
I'm on fire, I'm burning bright.
You made the spark,
kindled the flame,
gave this fire the passion of the night.
Its burning bright, through the night,
its never going out or dimming.
Its the passion of the fire,
its the passion of life.
The life you gave,
was meant to amaze.
Now with you in me,
I illuminate the darkness.
I'm on fire,
running with the flame, the passion
touching people,
letting them catch the fire, catch your Love.
It never fades away,
this passion deep in me,
it'll burn till the end of day.

The Countess Cathleen In Paradise
ALL the heavy days are over;
Leave the body's coloured pride
Underneath the grass and clover,
With the feet laid side by side.
Bathed in flaming founts of duty
She'll not ask a haughty dress;
Carry all that mournful beauty
To the scented oaken press.
Did the kiss of Mother Mary
Put that music in her face?
Yet she goes with footstep wary,
Full of earth's old timid grace.
'Mong the feet of angels seven
What a dancer glimmering!
All the heavens bow down to Heaven,
Flame to flame and wing to wing.

Memorial
Your body was a sacred cell always,
A jewel that grew dull in garish light,
An opal which beneath my wondering gaze
Gleamed rarely, softly throbbing in the night.
I touched your flesh with reverential hands,
For you were sweet and timid like a flower
That blossoms out of barren tropic sands,
Shedding its perfume in one golden hour.
You yielded to my touch with gentle grace,
And though my passion was a mighty wave
That buried you beneath its strong embrace,
You were yet happy in the moment's grave.
Still more than passion consummate to me,
More than the nuptials immemorial sung,
Was the warm thrill that melted me to see
Your clean brown body, beautiful and young;
The joy in your maturity at length,
The peace that filled my soul like cooling wine,
When you responded to my tender strength,
And pressed your heart exulting into mine.
How shall I with such memories of you
In coarser forms of love fruition find?
No, I would rather like a ghost pursue
The fairy phantoms of my lonely mind.

Love's Embrace
Filled with happiness
when I'm with you,
There are no days
that are sad and blue.
No doubt that you take me
to a better place,
And wrap me tight
in your love's embrace.
Your smile is filled
with warmness I see,
Your laughter says
you are happy with me.
Your heart is as soft
as velvet and lace,
Still pulling me into
your love's embrace.
Gone are the days
I searched high and low,
Taking every hit
of heartbreak's mighty blow.
No longer do I feel
the pain of tears down my face,
You wiped them all away
with your love's embrace.
Now here I stand
to return that love to you,
My heart will always be yours,
faithful and true.
We both found true love,
and are wrapped in God's grace.
And to each other we are wrapped,
in our love's embrace.

Faith, Faith
Faith, faith,
Always makes me feel safe,
Grace, grace,
Falls down on my face,
I am forgiven,
But that's only the beginning,
Glory, glory,
I will always tell your story,
Mercy mercy,
I am always thirsty,
Thirsty for your name,
Your love, always the same,
Praise praise,
You are the one who was raised,
To save me, and the person you want me to be,
You fill me with glee,
And make me feel free,
Trust trust,
I need you in my life, you are a must,
Truth truth,
I read judges Ruth,
Your word is filled with love,
And glory from above,
It washes over me like rain,
And all my sins and blame,
Are gone in an instant,
My envy for instance,
They are gone,
I am healed not scorn,
I love you lord with all my heart,
Me and you I wish never to part,
So here I stand,
For your mighty plan,
I give you my life Christ,
Take it, your worthy,
You make it sturdy,
With you I won't fall,
With you I can Stand tall,
I can shout you name loud,
And feel my heart pound,
And at the first sound,
Of your voice in my soul,
I'll do what you want, I'll give you my all,
I am nothing,
But you make me something,
I am empty, but you make me whole,
My heart you did stole,

Pittoresque
My passion is my art
And my brush is my heart
With it I color my own flame
Beauty, love, my name
With sadness's blue
melancholic hue
Happiness's yellow
A light mellow
A jaded green
Where anger is seen
A shy pink
For love to link
A scarlet red
That envy bled
Into a hint of mauve
Gentle and suave
A touch of auburn
That my soul govern
The vivacious picture
Of my minds frame
The color of my name
My own flame
My passionate heart
The love of art..

Today... 'The Glory of the Lord
A Saviour has been born to us; He is Christ the Lord.
A babe wrapped in rags by heaven and earth adored.
Angels brought to the world news of great blessing and joy.
God had come to earth and was born as a baby boy.
Your face shone like the sun so radiant and bright
as You were transfigured before their sight.
The Glory of the Lord came shining through
upon the mountain top as they gazed at You.
For they were standing upon the most holy ground
bathed in light as the Shekinah glory shone around.
This world has been illuminated by the Glory of God
shining in the face of Jesus as earths paths He trod.
For the Eternal Light and Uncreated Beam
in the life of Jesus Christ has by mankind been seen.
The image of the Godhead we see mirrored there.
You are the lord our God heaven and earth declare.
The image of the God in You Jesus we see.
the indwelling fullness of the Godhead bodily.
Peter said 'Lord it is good for us to be here'
As he watched Moses and Elijah disappear.
This sight had only been seen by a favoured few
and the Glory of God had come shining right through.
Then, 'This is my beloved son' God said to them
on the top of this mountain near Capernaum.
Later on the Isle of Patmos John saw God's Son
with His countenance shining brighter than the sun.
His eyes were like flashing fire and hair white as snow
and His feet like highly burnished bronze seemed to glow.
Then as one who was dead John fell down to the ground
for so awesome was that scene on that Island found.
Before him the glory of the Lord was too bright
far to wonderful for him to withstand the sight.
One day all will before the throne of Glory stand
and look upon a sight so glorious and grand.
For the Glory of the Lord Jesus will seen by all
and all mankind will confess You as Lord of all.

Australia's First Great Poet
HIS lot how glorious whom the must shall name
Her first high-priest in this bright southern clime!
Aglow with light from her aspiring flame,
Catching the raptures of her Grecian prime,
Lifting these later days to heights sublime,
So shall he walk the glorious path of fame;
He boldly quarryeth from nature’s frame
The sculptured marble of his lofty thyme
Enbreathed with beauty; o’er his splendid page
Shall glow his country-women’s lustrous eyes,
And many a future hero’s noble rage
His flame shall kindle; all the brave and wise,
Breathing his influence from age to age,
Shall sound his glory to his native skies.

Speechless
Love has stolen my heart,
darkness fading away i'm in light.
mine heart so strong filled with might,
i'll fight for this love with all mine heart.
A wonderful feeling so pure,
i'm in love! This i'm so sure.
I could hear her name in the breeze,
i'm burnt by the flame of this feeling full of bliss.
Alas! My wonderful love is like a tale,
for in her presence i'm so lame.
Love's filled my heart, sometimes i forget my name.
There are millions of ways to tell her how i feel,
but i'm speechless coz thats how she makes me feel.
Though i'm with her, i'm far away and nothing is for real.
When i'm with her, i'm lost for words
and i dont know what to say.
Her love has driven me far away,
now i'm sitting on the world, spreading my love full of fame.

Dining-Room Tea
When you were there, and you, and you,
Happiness crowned the night; I too,
Laughing and looking, one of all,
I watched the quivering lamplight fall
On plate and flowers and pouring tea
And cup and cloth; and they and we
Flung all the dancing moments by
With jest and glitter. Lip and eye
Flashed on the glory, shone and cried,
Improvident, unmemoried;
And fitfully and like a flame
The light of laughter went and came.
Proud in their careless transience moved
The changing faces that I loved.
Till suddenly, and otherwhence,
I looked upon your innocence.
For lifted clear and still and strange
From the dark woven flow of change
Under a vast and starless sky
I saw the immortal moment lie.
One instant I, an instant, knew
As God knows all. And it and you
I, above Time, oh, blind! could see
In witless immortality.
I saw the marble cup; the tea,
Hung on the air, an amber stream;
I saw the fire's unglittering gleam,
The painted flame, the frozen smoke.
No more the flooding lamplight broke
On flying eyes and lips and hair;
But lay, but slept unbroken there,
On stiller flesh, and body breathless,
And lips and laughter stayed and deathless,
And words on which no silence grew.
Light was more alive than you.
For suddenly, and otherwhence,
I looked on your magnificence.
I saw the stillness and the light,
And you, august, immortal, white,
Holy and strange; and every glint
Posture and jest and thought and tint
Freed from the mask of transiency,
Triumphant in eternity,
Immote, immortal.
Dazed at length
Human eyes grew, mortal strength
Wearied; and Time began to creep.
Change closed about me like a sleep.
Light glinted on the eyes I loved.
The cup was filled. The bodies moved.
The drifting petal came to ground.
The laughter chimed its perfect round.
The broken syllable was ended.
And I, so certain and so friended,
How could I cloud, or how distress,
The heaven of your unconsciousness?
Or shake at Time's sufficient spell,
Stammering of lights unutterable?
The eternal holiness of you,
The timeless end, you never knew,
The peace that lay, the light that shone.
You never knew that I had gone
A million miles away, and stayed
A million years. The laughter played
Unbroken round me; and the jest
Flashed on. And we that knew the best
Down wonderful hours grew happier yet.
I sang at heart, and talked, and eat,
And lived from laugh to laugh, I too,
When you were there, and you, and you.

A Lover's Confession
When people tell me they have loved
But once in youth,
I wonder, are they always moved
To speak the truth?
Not that they wilfully deceive:
They fondly cherish
A constancy which they would grieve
To think might perish.
They cherish it until they think
`Twas always theirs.
So, if the truth they sometimes blink,
`Tis unawares.
Yet unawares, I must profess,
They do deceive
Themselves, and those who questionless
Their tale believe.
For I have loved, I freely own,
A score of times,
And woven, out of love alone,
A hundred rhymes.
Boys will be fickle. Yet, when all
Is said and done,
I was not one whom you could call
A flirt--not one
Of those who into three or four
Their hearts divide.
My queens came singly to the door,
Not side by side.
Each, while she reigned, possessed alone
My spirit loyal,
Then left an undisputed throne
To one more royal,
To one more fair in form and face
Sweeter and stronger,
Who filled the throne with truer grace,
And filled it longer.
So, love by love, they came and passed,
These loves of mine,
And each one brighter than the last
Their lights did shine.
Until--but am I not too free,
Most courteous stranger,
With secrets which belong to me?
There is a danger.
Until, I say, the perfect love,
The last, the best,
Like flame descending from above,
Kindled my breast,
Kindled my breast like ardent flame,
With quenchless glow.
I knew not love until it came,
But now I know.
You smile. The twenty loves before
Were each in turn,
You say, the final flame that o'er
My soul should burn.
Smile on, my friend. I will not say
You have no reason;
But if the love I feel to-day
Depart, `tis treason!
If this depart, not once again
Will I on paper
Declare the loves that waste and wane,
Like some poor taper.
No, no! This flame, I cannot doubt,
Despite your laughter,
Will burn till Death shall put it out,
And may be after.
