It's difficult having to hustle for jobs. Not knowing when the next job is coming in. It's hard. There are not enough roles out there. I try not to get wrapped up in on being an Asian American actor or I'll get depressed.

Depressed (2)
I am depressed and no one knows.
I am depressed but won't let it show.
I am depresed because of lies.
I am depressed but won't cry.
I am depressed because of my families crap.
I am depressed because of my dad.
I am depressed because I can't live with my mom.
I am depressed because I'm all wrong.
I am depressed because of what I do.
I am depressed because I can't tell you.
I am depressed and no one knows.
I am depressed but won't let it show.

Depressed With Love
Sometimes I am so depressed with love!
Yes.
Depressed with it!
Some folks don't have it at all to give.
Negative and selfish takers...
Collecting waste and making heartbreakers.
That's what is done,
When someone dumps upon another someone.
For fun and stupidity.
Being as ignorant as they can be.
Oh I can't explain how that gets to me.
But it does.
Sometimes I am so depressed with love!
Yes.
Depressed with it
Instead of throwing kisses...
I'd like to split a few lips with my fists.
I know that's not 'politically correct'
To handle those I view as misfit.
But it sometimes gets difficult to express...
I'm feeling deep warmth and happiness at best!
When I know I expose an anger on my face,
That hides a glowing love kept depressed...
In public I'd like to erase.
But honestly...
Am I the only one that wishes to spank a few butts?
Because a mess spreading has fed many of us up?
And no one wants to RECOGNIZE LOVE for what it is?
This is what gets me livid and pissed.
Yes.
Sometimes I am so depressed with love!
Yes.
Depressed with it

There are roles I want that my agency might not want me to do because of the subject matter or whatever. Or there are roles that people won't bring to me because they don't think I'll do it. And that is a big strain because an actor wants to act.

Our theme for this year's festivities, Dreams and Challenges of Asian Pacific Americans, speaks to the many generations of Asian Pacific Americans who worked hard to overcome economic hardship, racism and other barriers in their pursuit of the American dream.

Wrapped Around Your Finger
You consider me the young apprentice
Caught between the Scylla and Charibdes.
Hypnotized by you if I should linger
Staring at the ring around your finger.
I have only come here seeking knowledge,
Things they would not teach me of in college.
I cant see the best in me
That you saw
I'll be wrapped around your finger.
I'll be wrapped around your finger.
Mephistopheles is not your name,
But I know what you're up to just the same.
I will listen hard to your tuition,
And you will see it come to it's fruition.
I'll be wrapped around your finger.
I'll be wrapped around your finger.
Devil and the deep blue sea behind me
Vanish in the air you'll never find me.
I will turn your face to alabaster,
Then you'll find your servant is your master,
And you'll be wrapped around my finger.
I'll be wrapped around your finger.
You'll be wrapped around my finger.
I'll be wrapped around your finger

I've also worked hard portraying an Ireland which is fast disappearing. Ireland was a very depressed and difficult place in the 1980s, and I've tried to include that in the script. I worked really hard to find the heart of the book.

If I Could Make A Living Out Of Loving You
If theres something that needs fixing
Im the man to see
Look me up, Im listed
Just check under b
If youre ever on the spot
Well, Im good with my hands
24-7 Im your handyman
Odd jobs, hard jobs, anything under the sun
Big jobs, small jobs, baby
Chorus:
Id be a rich man, its true
If I could make a living out of lovin you
These two hands know what to do
If I could make a living out of lovin you
I could make a living out of lovin you
Until the work is finished
Well, I dont get paid
I dont mind getting dirty
Thats my middle name
Im in the service business
So I understand
Call me 24-7, Im your handyman
Odd jobs, hard jobs, anything under the sun
Big jobs, small jobs, baby
Chorus:
Id be a rich man, its true
If I could make a living out of lovin you
These two hands know what to do
If I could make a living out of lovin you
If I could make a living out of lovin you
Solo
Tough jobs, rough jobs, say where and when
Ill leave you my card, call when you need me again
Odd jobs, hard jobs, baby
Chorus:
Id be a rich man, its true
If I could make a living out of lovin you
These two hands know what to do
If I could make a living out of lovin you

Everything That 'Is' Has Its Limits
It is difficult to agonize through change.
Or to let go of those comforts,
Knowing the familiar will not be the same.
It is difficult to grow,
Around many who fear the doing of it.
While they choose to sit and reminisce,
The times they miss and wish to revisit.
It is difficult to agonize through change.
Or to let go of those comforts,
Knowing the familiar will not be the same.
It is difficult to witness,
Seasons come and go.
But everything that 'is' has its limits.
No matter who denies that this is so.

Asian
Asian this.
Asian that.
Being Asian taking the front seat.
After being in the back!
And I am glad!
I've been 'aging' for years...
And finally...
We are getting some attention!
'I believe the topic is the economy! '
Exactly!
That's my point.
I'm on a fixed budget!
Dedicated To:
All my Asian brothers and sisters.
I respect your gifts, brilliance...
and devotion to humanity.
One Love! '

First Encounter - Tony Leung the Actor
male bonding
he seeks and finds the comfort zone
to carry on our conversation
It was in Singapore that I first met Tony Leung, one of Hong Kong's best actors. The following is lifted from http: //orientalis.wordpress.com/
Tony Leung’s talent is undeniable - arguably the world’s best actor in the judgement of many. This Hong Kong native is lauded the world over for the soulful expressions conveyed by his eyes alone. Most Westerners are familiar of Mr. Leung through his collaborations with director Wong Kar-Wai’s many art house flicks. Most recently he’s appeared in Andrew Lau’s “Infernal Affairs” (remaded as Scorsese’s “The Departed”, though the original is much better) , Zhang Yimou’s “Hero”, Wong Kar-Wai’s “2046″ . To date, Mr. Leung has not ventured into any English speaking roles due to what he considers as a dirth of quality roles given to Asian actors in Hollywood. However, this might change as there are rumors of his English film debut in a lead as a detective.

American Heartbeat
The nights alive with wind and fire,
We telegraph our hearts desire,
Though the night -- with our eyes,
Wheels are turnin -- fast and hard,
Hearts are burnin on the boulevard,
Hear them pound -- young and proud,
Its the american heartbeat.
Chart the stars and head out for the action,
Hit the streets and find some satisfaction.
*its the american heartbeat,
The american heartbeat,
Its the american heartbeat --
American heartbeat. *
The stage is set, the roles are chosen,
The lights grow hot at the midnights closin
In at last, it comes so fast,
Poundin harder as the midnights striking,
It hits us like a blot of lightning,
But deeper down its the sound of the american heartbeat.
So chart the stars and head out for the action,
Hit the streets and find some satisfaction.
( * repeat)

It's not like that often, I mean, I suppose out of a ratio of 10 fans maybe like 1 or 2 of 'em might be Asian, and maybe every second or third time they might bring up something that they're Asian and I'm Asian.

Is It Hard
Is it hard,
To depart...
From a broken heart?
Is it hard,
To give up...
A feeling creeping to weep?
And is it hard,
To leave that feeling...
Felt so deep.
Is it hard to leave that feeling that is felt so deep.
Is it hard.
Is it hard.
Is it hard to close your eyes and to fall to sleep.
Is it hard.
Is it hard.
Is it difficult to stop a heart from yearning.
Is it hard.
To depart.
Is it difficult to stop a fire burning?
Yes it's hard,
When it starts.
Some say that nothing's difficult.
Or too critical to let things go.
To then restart,
A mending heart.
Is it difficult to stop a fire burning?
Yes it's hard,
When it starts.
Some say that nothing's difficult.
Or too critical to let things go.
To then restart,
A mending heart.
Is it difficult to stop a fire burning?
Yes it's hard,
When it starts.

It's the same with people knowing absolutely everything there is to know about an actor. I actually think the more personal information you have about an actor, the more you have to carve out for yourself when you go to a movie and see them in it.

Observations Today Confirm
It's going to take a lot of patience and hard work,
To get this crap corrected.
It is unbelievable how conscious people sat,
Knowing that their lives...
Were being set up to become traps.
And they would become the tested mice.
With afflicting addictions intentionally inflicted.
And programmed to accept,
Any condition...
Greed and politicians that would hypnotize,
Suggest!
Just to make things for them right to bite!
Like vampires sucking blood from necks.
'Is there any money left to see 'Twilight? '
Those stripped of credibility had no influence,
To introduce anything good.
And those suppressed into nothingness,
Were pushed to live in depressed neighborhoods.
And statistically used...
As those amongst the disadvantaged!
Those who were treated less than cesspools.
Oh,
This plot thickens!
Those who believed they would succeed with deceit...
Found ways to line their pockets,
By creating conditions to have those without a conscious
Move to suburban streets.
And there they would find their lives complete.
Until their dreams were depleted...
With virtues gone.
And honesty and truth...
Those deceivers had defeated.
Yes folks...
These days are not for wine and roses.
It's going to take a lot of patience and hard work,
To get this crap corrected.
It is unbelievable how conscious people sat,
Knowing that their lives...
Were being set up to become traps.
However...
You did not hear that from me!
That should be a declaration your observations today,
Confirm!
And...
Susie ain't got time now to spread her juicy gossip.
Susie's trying to connect in her mind,
This hustle before her eyes is the real deal!
