Open Soul Surgery
Written by: jim vallance
Its been a long time since we been travellin down
On the wrong side of your love
But I dont care if you think Im wasting my time
Youre the only one Im thinkin of
Well I spend my whole life travellin around
From town to town and I need
Open soul surgery
Open soul surgery
Yeh I need surgery
Open soul surgery
Ooh, yeh
When you were 18 I took you from your mama & sister
As you didnt need that kind of protection
Now I hate to see you comin on like some kind of bitch
cos your life aint what youre expectin
Well I spend all my time just chasing you down
And now that I found you I need
Open soul surgery
Open soul surgery
Yeh I need surgery
Open soul surgery
Somebody help me now
And now the pressures on
I dont know right from wrong
I live in desperation
I can feel the heat
Now that Im on the street
For what youve done to me
And Im gonna need
Open soul surgery
Open soul surgery
Yeh I need surgery
Open soul surgery

Length Of Love
This could be destiny
Oh sweetheart
I've had no sense of time
Since we started
I got friends in need
Oh sweetheart
I've grown lengths and lengths and lengths of love
Since we started this thing out
Combat salacious removal
Combat salacious removal
There is a bitter breed
Oh sweetheart
They will be watching you sometimes
With their bitter hearts
But we are through with these
Oh we're shifting the heartache
We want strong summer love, the most robust blood
Just to stay awake
Combat salacious removal
Combat salacious removal
Combat salacious removal

I don't like surgery. I don't like elective surgery, I don't like surgery that you have to have.

Well, that's the - the removal from office and removal of the Ten Commandments were two different issues.
Management means, in the last analysis, the substitution of thought for brawn and muscle, of knowledge for folkways and superstition, and of cooperation for force. It means the substitution of responsibility for obedience to rank, and of authority of performance for the authority of rank. Whenever you see a successful business, someone once made a courageous decision.

From The Guise Of Many
From the guise of many,
we fall into the guise of one
creating within it
our own mystery.
Within the guise of many,
we still try to hide our all.
We pretend to be the one,
but in fact,
we are always the many.
Our name remains
always the same
with just a touch of mystery.

Here With You Tonight
(gage)
Hey girl, you sit there pining
Inside you feel youre dying and the world doesnt care
You need someone to rely on
You need a shoulder you can cry on,
Well theres one right here
But let gets one thing clear
I aint no substitution for the guy
Who left alone
Ill be here with you tonight
But tomorrow Ill be gone
No commitments, no lies
One thing there wont be no lies, coz I got nothing to hide
A little comfort, a little soothing,
Just until youve started grooving (? )
Then Ill have to ride
Coz like I told you babe
I aint no substitution for the guy
Who left alone
Ill be here with you tonight
But tomorrow Ill be gone, gone
So remember what I told you
Just tonight Ill stay and hold you
Till you feel ok
A little loving to ease the pain
You feel yourself ? ? ?
And then Im on my way
I aint no substitution for the guy
Who left you alone
Ill be here with you tonight
But tomorrow Ill be gone, gone, gone
Ill be gone, Ill be gone
? ? ? ? be gone mama
Ill be gone
Cant afford to hang on mama
Ill be gone

The meaning of life is that it is to be lived, and it is not to be traded and conceptualized and squeezed into a pattern of systems.

God gave us intestines for a reason. I'm not keen on surgery. It's too extreme. All it took was one of those plastic surgery shows to see how violent it is.

Psalm 119 part 7
Imperfection of nature, and perfection of scripture.
ver. 96, paraphrased.
Let all the heathen writers join
To form one perfect book;
Great God! if once compared with thine,
How mean their writings look!
Not the most perfect rules they gave
Could show one sin forgiv'n,
Nor lead a step beyond the grave;
But thine conduct to heav'n.
I've seen an end to what we call
Perfection here below;
How short the powers of nature fall,
And can no further go!
Yet men would fain be just with God
By works their hands have wrought;
But thy commands, exceeding broad,
Extend to every thought.
In vain we boast perfection here,
While sin defiles our frame,
And sinks our virtues down so far,
They scarce deserve the name.
Our faith, and love, and every grace,
Fall far below thy word;
But perfect truth and righteousness
Dwell only with the Lord.

Process Of Rejection
The importance of substitution,
Will never be as potent...
As the significance,
Of that which is originally given.
There will be attempts made,
To dilute and disguise the affect...
With replacements to digest.
And those unconscious may never suspect,
Until a system begins...
A process of rejection.
The importance of substitution,
Will never be as potent...
As the significance,
Of that which is originally given.
A process of rejection begins.
And the harm that is done...
Upsets with effectiveness,
Not just a few disgruntled ones.
But everyone awakening,
To the glaring sight of Sun!
A Sun unclouding to expose...
Those without vision and on the run!

Choose a Removal of Delusions
If you choose to save face,
With a haste...
That leaves a pacing done,
In waste.
Eliminate,
The pacing!
And do,
What it takes.
It takes reflection,
Done.
It takes reflection to overcome.
It takes reflection,
Done...
To remove delusions.
It takes reflection,
Done.
It takes reflection to overcome.
It takes reflection,
Done...
To remove delusions,
Of the one that runs.
Sit back.
Choose a removal of delusions.
Sit back.
Choose a removal of delusions.
Sit back.
Choose a removal of delusions and include,
A completion of truth you do.
Just sit back,
Choose a removal of delusions.
Sit back.
Choose a removal of delusions.
Sit back.
Choose a removal of delusions and include,
A completion of truth you do.
Relax and...
Choose a removal of delusions.
Sit back.
Choose a removal of delusions.
Sit back.
Choose a removal of delusions and include,
A completion of truth you do.
If you choose to save face,
With a haste...
That leaves a pacing done,

Nostos
There was an apple tree in the yard --
this would have been
forty years ago -- behind,
only meadows. Drifts
of crocus in the damp grass.
I stood at that window:
late April. Spring
flowers in the neighbor's yard.
How many times, really, did the tree
flower on my birthday,
the exact day, not
before, not after? Substitution
of the immutable
for the shifting, the evolving.
Substitution of the image
for relentless earth. What
do I know of this place,
the role of the tree for decades
taken by a bonsai, voices
rising from the tennis courts --
Fields. Smell of the tall grass, new cut.
As one expects of a lyric poet.
We look at the world once, in childhood.
The rest is memory.
