A Bloom of Poesy to dear Kamakshi

Respected, dear Madam KAMAKSHI,
This day as you voluntarily retire
From our esteemed Coach Factory,
As an officer from a coveted tier,

This ever-fresh bloom of poesy,
With heart-felt love is strung,
And is proffered very truly,
With ardent prayers sung.

A kind and affable sister,
To her colleagues here;
Her unflinching help she'd administer,
To wipe out many a tear!

With her intelligence wound,
She has crossed many a cadre;
To her duty ever bound,
She has climbed the ladder.

But from her career, bright
She has chosen to take wings;
To enjoy the wonderful twilight,
Which Life's evening brings.

Remember we will, till rest,
Is the assurance clear;
Forget-us-not is the request,
From your colleagues dear.

With fond love flowing,
From two sons—so proud;
The couple would be glowing,
With their children, beloved.

Muses' blessings to you,
To sing with a sweet voice;
Has be-got a daughter-in-law too—
A darling of a choice.

May the grand-child pin
Together your affections—all
And may you and your kin
With God's Blessings enthrall.

My Mother

Mother, mother, most beloved mother!
Oh, my heart's dearest mother!
Will there ever be another
One to replace you in one way or the other?

To dwell on you, even a little,
Makes my heart so very brittle;
Emotions gush and flood the mind,
The sluice of eyes, let the waters behind.

Such a splendid mother!
Such a wonderful mother!
A mother so lovely, neat,
A mother so honey sweet,

Is but hard to find,
As she is of a rare kind.
She'd shower love and affection,
But was a strict disciplinarian!

My darling mother was begotten
After a long penance, certain
Of my grand-parents'devotion,
And Lord Eshwara's benediction.

She was christened after Goddess Parvathi,
But being the apple of the eye,
She was aptly named 'Kannammal'
And was called 'Kannu'by all.

Though not complete in schooling,
She tread through life ever learning;
She'd nicely cook, read a book and sew;
And she was adept at many chores too!

At nineteen—a maiden, charming and coy,
She entered my father's house with joy;
But lo! There at the city of Secunderabad,
Her experience with her in-laws was sad!

Then one after one, like an acorn,
The four of us were born;
Three sweet girls and a bonny boy-
Her dancing dolls of endless joy.

My mother bubbled with happiness,
And was a milk of kindness;
She was service personified,
And a spirit of duty deified.

She taught us serene cleanliness,
And said it was next to Godliness;
Education to our raw minds, she did fetch,
And culture to carve in us, she did etch.

She cared for us proudly swell,
And she reared us extremely well;
She egged us on to truth and obedience,
And urged us to tread the path of perseverance.

Mother was a devout devotee,
Of Lord Shiva and his consort Parvathi;
She performed sacred poojas daily,
And would not eat before did her deity.

With father constantly shored
At the office of the Cantonment Board,
She was the captain to surely steer,
The ship of home to waters clear.

She proved to be an affectionate sister above
Her dear brothers and sisters in love;
To each one of them she was wonderful,
For she arranged their marriages, heartful! .

She was a true friend, in need
To ‘Mami'of Marredpalli indeed,
Both of them were ever so close
For one without the other was so morose.

One by one, with blissful marriage intent,
We were off to our homes in places distant;
Yet our lovely bondage was ever intact,
For the love was abiding in its impact.

Close on heels—one after another,
Grand children were born to mother;
It was her lot ne'er to herself bother,
For at thirty-eight she was a proud grandmother!

‘Aachi! ' ‘Aachi! 'With affection they'd call,
And she to them was their first pal;
To each one of the ten of them,
She was sure a pure love gem.

Happy days bounced there for mother,
At sister's house in ‘Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar';
With a fond family around her, so dear,
Interspersed with visits of people from far and near.
Lo! A dark cloud of head-ache, true,
Then descended on her sky of blue;
With throbbing pain, she suffered much,
Many a doctor offering little relief, as such.

Alas! It was not to be a passing cloud,
For the mantle of death did her shroud
In the small hours of a day-too soon—
In 1976-to be exact-on the fifteenth of June.

Though stepping into the youth of age,
Providence tore from His Book, her life's page;
All that was love and kind; good and glory,
Was pitted to dust and transformed to a story!

Mummy! Oh Mummy! Dear, my dear!
Your corporal frame has flown from here,
Your soul to rise to the Great Spirit above,
In harmony to mingle with Divine Love.

We, your darling children below,
Your foot-steps, we ardently strive to follow,
And pray to the Great Power Merciful
To rest your good soul in peace bountiful.

Blessings

All your days can be beautiful, when you let The Lord fulfill,
His ways and plan in your life, and His blessings will be rife,
If we only believe and trust, blessings will pour down on us,
As He opens up floodgates of, all blessings He has above.

Blessings upon us are poured, when we submit to The Lord,
This to follow all of God’s ways, as we live out all our days,
Listening to the Holy Spirit, and His prompting as we heat it,
Guiding us to those doors, where grace and blessing pours.

Then Grace will begin to flow, in ways that we’d never know,
Flowing from an endless supply, His blessing for you and I,
Blessings will flow abundantly, down to all of God’s Family,
As we live our life for Him, while keeping our life free of sin.

Blessing is to, subtle friend, in strength, as we near an end,
Coming in that final hour, when you truly need divine power,
With peace as part of a course, from a never ending source,
Peace, knowing God is near, when your heart begins to fear.

Blessings you’ll be assured, follow all who live for The Lord,
Even in a dark and lonely place, as God ministers His Grace,
The Grace, that began at Calvary, to lead all men to Eternity,
Where Blessing from our Lord, will flow to them forevermore.

Work And Joy

Each day I live I thank the Lord
I do the work I love;
And in it find a rich reward,
All price and praise above.
For few may do the work they love,
The fond unique employ,
That fits them as a hand a glove,
And gives them joy.

Oh gentlefolk, do you and you
Who toil for daily hire,
Consider that the job you do
Is to your heart's desire?
Aye, though you are to it resigned,
And will no duty shirk,
Oh do you in your private mind
Adore your work?

Twice happy man whose job is joy,
Whose hand and heart combine,
In brave and excellent employ
As radiantly as mine!
But oh the weary, dreary day,
The wear and tear and irk
Of countless souls who cannot say:
'I love my work.'

O, lord

Listen to my prayer O, Lord,
You are powerful and might God,
Give me courage and word,
Power to rule and sway over world,

I should have divine power,
Healing power and mercy to shower,
Pity on needy and blessings to poor,
Hear and bless to our urge sincere,

No misuse but application right,
Injustice challenge and rightful fight,
But will be good in hands of man?
Can earthly people act as human?

You may lament after giving power,
Complete chaos in the hands of wrong doer,
No more preachers and religious nun,
Seers, peers and God man on run,

You may be tired when facing alone,
I may prove honest and single one,
I may be your right hand and simple soul,
You will have no reason to smell foul,

Try at the outset and bless at once,
Declare it open and simply pronounce,
Rest my work will do and announce,
Not your word will ever bounce,

You might not have tried any more,
New ideas and ground to explore,
All human beings will sleep and snore,
No ill will and grudges bore,

I may still be the best bat,
It is simple but not ideas fat,
Neither has it had connivance of cat,
Nor it may wait hunt for rat,

You may not listen to my request,
Never may I claim it as conquest,
I thought it means honest and best,
Words to be kept amidst acid test,

I may look fool in your eyes,
Don’t intend to score run in byes,
I thought you may have one good hand,
Healer, compatriot and very good friend

Life is a Journey; Not a Destination

The time has come
To say good bye
I gave it my all
I really did try

I took your heart
Which I broke in two
I tried to fix it
I did all I could do

Your eyes once warm
Now dead and cold
Your words once soft
Now cutting and bold

I became the man
You knew I could be
But now it's too late
These changes you won't see

You live in my past
Not here in today
Tomorrow doesn't matter
Our dreams washed away

You need to be happy
So I need to go
These changes to you
Are only a show

I bid you farewell
I wish you the best
I hope you find peace
I hope you find rest

I hope you find life
How you want it to be
I hope you find love
Even if not with me

My journey continues
Even if I'm alone
My Lord God will guide me
To wherever is home

For He knows my heart
And he knows my soul
In him I do trust
I am not alone
For the day will come
When I know his plan
I once was a boy
But now I'm a man

Even though I feel weak
I know I am strong
My path it is narrow
My path is so long

So I bid you farewell
And I hope I will find
That your path is not different
You're just two steps behind

For this is life is so short
And I have no control
My one living wish
Is to be one with your soul

It may not be tomorrow
But in the next life
Eternity together
As husband and wife

Take care my sweet princess
Take care my best friend
I will love you forever
As time has no end

On my path I continue
My heart it does know
Where God wants to take me
So with Him I will go

A Fond Farewell

the litebrite's now black and white
cause you took apart a picture that wasn't right
pitch burning on a shining sheet
the only maker that you want to meet
a dying man in a living room
who's shadow paces the floor
who'll take you out in the open door
this is not my life
it's just a fond farewell to a friend
it's not what i'm like
it's just a fond farewell to a friend
who couldn't get things right
fond farewell to a friend
he said really i just wanna dance
good and evil matched perfect it's a great romance
i can deal with some physic pain
if it'll slow down my higher brain
veins full of disappearing ink
vomiting in the kitchen sink
disconnecting from the missing link
this is not my life
it's just a fond farewell to a friend
it's not what i'm like
it's just a fond farewell to a friend
who couldn't get things right
fond farewell to a friend
i see you're leaving me and taking up with the enemy
the cold comfort of the in between
a little less than a human being
a little less than a happy high
a little less than a suicide
the only things that you really tried
this is not my life
it's just a fond farewell to a friend
it's not what i'm like

Any flower

Any flower plucked in time
Can be sweet and valentine
Whether it is anything or Jasmine
It is always beautiful and fine

With a flower in hand!
You will always need a friend
Just to open up your heart and mind
Very close acquaintance and refuge to find

Not to be dropped or thrown away
To be crushed under feet on the way
Let us be not impatient to snatch the smile
Let there be joy for a little or meanwhile

Come out

My sincere prayers
Coming from different layers
Inner outer core of heart
Feeling very nice from start
Ways different but not to part

You got to recover
Not to suffer
You may differ
Still I offer
My sincere prayer

There is good saying
Attention always paying
Foundation stone laying
For better relation and understanding
Good carrying words but not offending

You got to come out
No to simple fallout
Nothing to think about
Think of good future
Good feelings to nurture

You have to march ahead
Cool mind with straight head
Nothing to worry
Not in hurry
Not to feel sorry

You may come out of shock
Sound may not stop from clock
It will not block
Your straight path
If you retain good faith

What else one can pray?
Will it pay?
With new hope and bright ray
You may go ahead and find
Very good people around and very kind

So come out of sick mind
Ways and means find
Shower the love and blessings
You will find world with you
Only trust in Thou

The Good With The Bad

We seem to accept all the good, from God as it comes our way,
But, then God is misunderstood, when we come to a darker day,
Everyone knows that in our life, trials indeed are bound to come,
And men must lean on Jesus Christ, the Lord God’s Eternal Son.

Friend, trials come to all of us, whether or not in God we believe,
And when in God we put our trust, strength from Him we receive,
It is this strength that guides us in, and throughout a darker time,
Giving us God’s peace within, all through God’s gracious design.

Some men may come to the place, as they face a trial in this life,
And may look to God’s grace, while acknowledging Jesus Christ,
For trials God may well conceive, in the path of others my friend,
So others may come to believe, in this lifetime beyond the bend.

All things work together my friend, for all who truly love the Lord,
And His Truth prevails in the end, Truth that through all’s endured,
For all called for God’s purpose, as we live out this temporal life,
As we’re pressed into His service, given His power over all strife.

In this service of Christ our King, there are still trials that we face,
But, He who handles everything, supplies us all with ample grace,
Grace that is offered to everyone, in every land and every nation,
As they embrace God’s only Son, and receive His only Salvation.

Farewell my friend

I could easily foretell
You had something to tell
As you dropped a stinking bombshell

Farewell, farewell my friend
With words I spell
It all out in a nutshell

Farewell, farewell my friend
What else can I say?
When you take off today for good

Farewell I say with a broken mood
Farewell there goes my wedding bell
Farewell there goes your innocent smell
Farewell there goes our fun in and out of hotels
Farewell I hope that life treats you well

Farewell in your ventures
Our spent time is my treasure
Your heart must wander to where it belongs
Friend, I only urge you to be strong
With love you can simply do no wrong
I say it with these words tipping off my tongue

Farewell, farewell my friend
I am a great believer
Farewell is not forever
I say not goodbye
I do not wish to sit and cry

Farewell, farewell my friend
What else can I say?
You weren’t meant to stay
I will do nothing to detain
You from flying on that plane

Farewell, farewell my friend
I say with pain
Farewell, farewell my friend
In sunshine or in rain
One day, one day
I know we’ll see again

Farewell, farewell my friend
I cannot stand and pretend
That a part me
With you, would still like to be!

One and Only One!

I am in peace
At perfect peace with God;
O what a God and peace are!

A narrow dark tunnel I crossed;
To see that vast ocean ahead,
No shores not even
any bright shine,
shineth the self seamless
and endless,
Except the galaxies shine like light worms

This, this indeed is peace.
Is it, peace bestowed on me,
Or by my own effort I attained the peace?
By nature and by practice, peace was too far,
How very far I was from God;
Yet now by grace brought right to Him,
Through faith and mediation.

So beautiful, so very beautiful is God,
I was never nearer be;
For in the person of my own,
He was always with me,
I ran away from him,
Yet, he was with me like my shadow,
May be I ran and ran like shadow of my own,
I am as near as He.
He is as near as me,
So dear, so very dear to God I and all,
More dear I cannot be as you too are dear to him;
The love wherewith His love
now reflects in me and you too,

Such is His love to me and you,
just a touch made me melt and one with vacuum,
Flow into your heart as love divine,
And one with that bright light, all worlds are one,

Why should I ever anxious be,
Why should I be more a being,
Why should I be narrow and small,
When infinite was only one and vanished I in Him,

Since such a God is mine,
O is it true, is he mine or I am his?
I am his is more true
than he is mine,
who has to judge when we are one,

He watches me night and day,
Warns and guards
here and there and Everywhere,
Now I knew about this, he is always there,
And the fool and foolish,
I was never there

As this body and mind sent on a mission impossible,
Only his grace makes,
Even every thing possible,
You are the one my God,
You are the one before infinite zeros
Completing that look infinite,
yet when zero adds to one,
The one remains one and only Lord!

And tells me
'Mine is thine, Thine is mine.
And all that thou possess is mine and
Look you too were not only mine,
But also all are mine,
Pious and sinner alike,
Happy and pain alike,
Beauty and ugly all alike,
Drunken or mad lover all are mine!
You are my own shadow and shadow alone,
Shadow of puppet with I play on,
My own light plays the shadow,
The shadow of puppet on the screen
of my own mind!
Such is my God, only one always one,
One and only one!

A Beautiful Flower

I have a flower, Yes I have picked a beautiful flower,
One with greatest strength like a tree with mightiness and power,

Power of faith beyond any measure,
Yet precious and few like a beautiful treasure.

How precious its love it shares,
How very precious sweet and rare.

Easily lost as colors are tossed on the tides,
For those who tend to set it aside.

Beauty beyond their eye’s is what I have gained as a prize,
And keeping it, is what makes my heart so wise.

It may seem like neglect on their part,
But neglect has not been the wish of their heart.

Why so often many are in a rush,
The beauty of this flower is often a hush.

I praise my flower for its humbleness,
Staying that way always brings forth its beautifulness.

Yes my flower that I have I would gladly share,
To those who appreciate my gift that is rare.

This flower is a gift and I will tell you why,
Because its known for its beauty that will never die.

For if my flower and me ever depart,
The beauty of it will always be found in my heart.

Yes I have a flower, a beautiful flower to name,
It would have to be beautiful,
it would have to meet its beauty inside and out the same.

For that isn’t hard to do, Why you don’t even need a clue,
For I could have never have picked a better you,

My Dear Friend (put name here)….. Its true.
A name, that’s beautiful as you.

Day By Day

Day by day I am in the hand, of The Father and The Son of Man,
In His hand, I’m there to stay; no one friend can snatch me away.
Even my own wandering heart, from The Lord can never depart.
For when I attempt to stray, He prods me back to the narrow way.

God sealed my fate on the day; I met Christ Jesus along the way,
Sealed for the Day of Redemption, when I accepted His Salvation.
I was sealed with The Spirit of God, to guide me every step I trod.
And sealed with God’s guarantee, that He will lead me to Eternity.

He guides my path at every turn, with a peace to ease all concern.
If there is a trial around the bend, sufficient Grace God shall send.
God’s promises are tried and true, what He says I know He will do,
So I depend on Him along the way, as I travel life’s path every day.

And whenever I am about to fall, I remember He is The Lord of all,
He strengthens my feeble knees, and fills my heart with His peace.
And this peace from His Grace, He bestows on me in every place.
It is the Grace that I received, when in Christ Jesus I had believed.

Ahead dark times are sure to come, so I will follow God’s Only Son.
For Christ is the only sure Light, through the darkness of the night.
He is aware of all my trials too, and He will surely see me through.
The Grace He sent to set me free, will guide me home to Eternity.

Love God with full heart, mind, body and soul
Make the Maker merry by your good deeds and words
Never say, ‘No’ to the Lord’s commands
Obey God fully, without hesitation
Pay God for His infinite love by being more virtuous

Reconcile with God, begging for forgiveness of all your sins
Stay steadfast in righteousness, no matter the outcomes
Tread upon the narrow road to heaven always with trust
Unite your heart with God’s
Veer not from the Lord’s just directions
Wait for Christ’s second coming with a pure heart
